Hey everyone! I really hope you enjoy this update. Just a reminder, the relationships will not stay the same, and lash and speed will be a little different from the movies, as they have been in prison for a year and a half.

There is sexual content in the later half, but not too bad I don't think.

Now, on with the chapter!

Lindon's face was starting to ache from all the smiling he was doing. His hands tremored like the earth his controlled, causing the latter to quiver with his movement. He blinked repeatedly, trying to make sure he wasn't imagining things. He knew he was being ridiculous, and in fact, the approval didn't impact his job, but still, it warmed his heart to know these boys would be getting out of here.

"The deserve it after all their hard work," he muttered to himself, finally releasing the paper to let it flutter to the table like one of his daughters beloved leaves, "I hope she will be okay with this, especially since—"

"Warden Williams? I have the boys."

Inwardly cursing, Lindon glanced at the clock on his ancient computer. It did everything he needed to do, so there was no need in his mind to upgrade it. He noticed the time and cursed again, before quickly straightening the papers that he swore sprawled themselves over his desk. Nodding at the desk, he straightened himself and called for Delly to come in. the door creaked in protest, before the portly woman trailed in with a pair of guards and two inmates.

"Take a seat, boys," Lindon said, gesturing to the seats in front of his large desk that dominated the room.

Lash and Speed exchanged a look before shrugging. The slipped into their seats and folded their hands in front of them. Despite their general disregard for the rules, both boys had a begrudging respect for Lindon. He always let them explain themselves when they were sent there, and never treated them with anything except respect. Resultingly, both tried to limit their time there, as the almost fatherly-like concern he regarded the, with had them shifting in their seats and avoiding eye contact.

"You can wait outside, thank you for escorting them here."

Delly nodded and immediately left. The guards however immediately launched into protests that was stopped by the stern expression on their boss's face. "I appreciate your concern, but I am in no danger here. Please wait outside and I will call you in when you are needed."

The pair looked like they were going to argue, but they immediately quietened at the frostiness that formed in Lindon's expression. "We'll be right outside," the larger of the two said, before they slipped out the door and pulled it shut.

Lindon sagged into his chair and smiled at the two boys. "I thought they'd never leave," he said, earning a quirk of Lash's lips.

"Now, I'm sure you are both wondering why you are here, so I won't waste time." Lindon said, leaning his forearms on the table. "Mallory and I have noted your progress and believe you are ready for a change."

Lash and speed exchanged a look, unspoken questions glinting in their eyes. They turned their attention back to Lindon and nodded to let him keep talking.

"You are both remorseful for your actions, so keeping you here defeats the purpose of punishment. Instead, I would like to offer you a chance to turn your life around."

"Sir, that's all well and good but can you get to the point?" Speed asked, rolling his eyes.

Lindon saw through his bravado and offered him a small nod. "of course. I have spoken to the parole board and Sky High," he glared at the pair when they opened their mouths, instantly making any protests die on their tongues. "We are prepared to offer you the chance to redo your senior year. The conditions will be you will need to live in a household with a hero in it who is strong enough to stop you, and you will need to always wear a tracking bracelet. You will need to keep up therapy sessions and will need to be home by 9 o'clock each night. On top of that, before you leave you will need to take an oath to follow the rules, we set you."

"Who would want us? We are hated," Lash said, folding his arms across his chest.

Lindon rifled through his papers before handing the pair a sheet each. "I have a list of potential homes for you both. You will be separated which will be hard for you, I'm sure."

The pair took their sheets and scanned the list. It was not long, spanning only half a page, but was still bigger than either expected. Some names like Comet stood out to them, but others like Halo, Aeromancer and Takeover were vaguely familiar, but didn't ring too many bells. They were more like a smoky memory.

"All of these people are willing to take you on. I am obliged to inform you that Halo is married to Vertigo so they would be an excellent choice. And Comet is married to Fortune, so they would additionally be an excellent choice for you both."

Lash raised a brow, a whisper of a smirk on his face. "I notice the Commander and Jetstream aren't on here."

Lindon coughed to hide the chuckle that threatened to escape him. "They are still needing babysitting, so we figured it was best for them not to take on any more kids."

Lash and Speed balked before chuckling. Neither expected the man to be making jokes about their past, but they appreciated it, nonetheless. Speed cleared his throat, drawing attention his way. "Since I don't wanna live with my principal, I guess I'll live with Halo."

Lindon nodded and jotted the information down. Placing his pen down, he looked up at Lash, waiting for his choice. Lash groaned and ran a hand through his too-long brown hair, his eyes skimming the choices. "They all sound like they'd piss me off. The only adult I can deal with is you."

Lindon raised a brow and school his features, so he didn't show his surprise.

"But since you aren't superpowered it's not like I could stay with you."

"My wife and daughter are. I could call them and see if they wouldn't mind and check with the parole board." Lindon trailed off, scarcely daring to believe he said those words. While he believed in giving these boys a fresh start, he didn't consider hosting them.

Lash looked up, and the moment Lindon registered the hope in his eyes, he caved. "I will get you both taken back to your cells and let you know when I have an answer for you, Lash."

A flicker of a smile crossed the man's face, before he squashed it down with enough force to rival Commander and his son. "Whatever, I don't care. If it makes you feel better than sure, go for it."

Lindon smothered his smirk and nodded solemnly. "I'll see what I can do."

SEXUAL CONTENT

Layla moaned as Will kissed down her neck. Tingles giddily danced down her spine and her body felt alight in the most delicious way. She wrapped her legs around her boyfriend and ground against him, earning her a moan at the friction.

"God, Layla, I need you now," Will growled, flipping them over so she was straddling him.

Her chest rose and fell with every breath. Without breaking eye contact, she crossed her arms at her shirts hem and lifted it over her head. Will groaned when he caught sight of the light blue lace that covered her and make quick work of releasing her from its hold. She sat there, bare, as her boyfriend once against showered her with kisses, setting every nerve ending she had alight.

Just as Will was sucking on the juncture of her neck and shoulder, her phone sang out and ruined the tension -filled atmosphere.

"Just ignore it," Will muttered into her neck.

"Will, it could be important," Layla said, moving her neck out of reach.

"Or it could be Magenta calling about the latest fight she and Zack had," Will pointed out, running his hands up and down her curves.

Not waiting for an answer, Layla rolled herself off her complaining boyfriend. Seeing her phone across the room, she quickly pulled her shirt back on and scampered across. Picking it up, she hit answer without even checking who it was.

"Hello?"

"Layla, sweetheart, it's dad," Lindon said, well-used to her habit of not checking caller-id.

"Hey dad, what's up?" Will sent her a longing look from his spot on the bed, causing Layla to roll her eyes and smother a grin.

"Well, my Rose, you know how I was telling you and your mother about the two inmates that we are paroling?"

"Yes?"

"Well, one of them has taken a liking to me and would like to stay with us. Would you be alright with that? I can't tell you who it is, but you have had dealings with them before, and I wanted to ensure you'd be comfortable."

Warmth flooded Layla at her father's words. "You wouldn't be asking if you thought they'd be a danger to me, and you've always taught me that everyone deserves a second chance." Will looked at her curiously, and she waved him off. "So yes dad, I am completely okay with it."

"Thank you so much darling, I will tell you more tonight. Just cannot risk the phones being tapped."

"I understand. When will they be coming?"

"In a few days. Thank you so much my darling, the world is lucky to have a heroine like you coming through."

Layla blinked away the moisture from her eyes. Her father had a way with words that always got you right in the heart. "Tell mum I'll get dinner ready. Vegetarian burgers sound, okay?"

"Sounds wonderful. See you tonight, and I love you, Lala,"

Layla flushed at the emergence of her childhood nickname before saying goodbye and hanging up the phone. She turned back to face Will, who was sprawled on his bed with his hands behind his head. "Well? What was that all about?"

Her grin dimmed at his question. "Oh err, that was just my dad."

Will raised an eyebrow, a small smirk crossing his face. "I figured that, but what did you want?"

Layla bit her lip and wracked her mind for an answer. She knew she had to tell him, but there really wasn't much to say. Instead, she forced a coy smile on her face and sauntered over, her gaze running up and down his body. "Do you want to talk about it, or do you want to carry on from where we left off?"

She paused at the edge of the bed, her thighs touching the mattress. Will smirked and pulled her down, his lips touching the shell of her ear.

"I thought you'd never ask."
