In the future

People from all over the world had always wanted to visit the Valley of Peace which was known to be a beautiful area with kind people. But the once peaceful land was nowhere to be seen as the valley was now completely covered in flames.

The Jade Palace was no different as flames and debris were all over the place. The once magical and beautiful buildings were destroyed as rumbles of dirt, cement, and wood were scattered along the ground.

The villain behind all the destruction was standing in the middle of a broken courtyard. Norman Osborn or better known as the Green Goblin was Spider-Man's greatest archrival of all time. His green taut skin reflected the flames that were surrounding them. Goblin had a sadistic grin on his face as he watched Spider-Man struggling to stand up.

"Ugh." Spider-Man in his tatter suit groaned in pain. His whole body was trembling from the punch Goblin gave him earlier. All of his muscles were screaming for him to give up, but Spidey knew that he couldn't. He had to defeat Goblin.

A crackle of laughter echoed through the distorted palace. "You are such an annoying bug, Spider-Man. Or should I say… Manuel." There was a hint of mockery in Goblin's voice.

"No matter how many times I attack you, you always keep spawning up like some zombie." It was true. Different fights between the two made Goblin declare Spider-Man as his number one target to eliminate.

"This time… This time, I will finally get rid of you Spider-Man! You will be eliminated!" Goblin screamed at the injured hero in front of him.

Manuel, who is famously known as your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, was gritting his teeth in pain. The mask that he wears to hide his identity was now sporting two holes in it, showing a part of his face, exposing his identity. But Manuel didn't care as he had a bigger issue at hand, and that was the possibility of him losing against Goblin.

He didn't need a mirror for him to know how bad his state was. The lenses on his mask were cracked. His web-shooters had been ripped apart from him earlier and torn to pieces. His blue, red, and black jacket and jeans were ripped to shreds, including his glove. This had been the hardest and most challenging fight Manuel had faced in years.

Spider-man's train of thought was broken when his spider senses reacted. Manuel immediately jumped out of the way as a huge fireball was hurled towards him. "Manny! Be careful!" Tigress screamed when she saw Manuel barely dodging the fire.

It was obvious that Spider-Man was losing because his stamina was depleting. But although they wanted to help, the Five could only watch in horror as they were tied up and captured.

Tigress and the others were currently being detained by the infamous Eight-point acupressure cuffs that once held Tai Lung. The Five were struggling to escape from the cuffs but it was useless. They had no choice but to watch their friend battle Goblin helplessly.

"Manny! Don't give up!" Viper tried to encourage the tired Manuel

"Hey, Goblin! You're a coward! Fight all of us!" Tigress yelled in worry and anger.

"Goblin! You suck! You look ugly in the version of you! You were already ugly before, but now you are hideous!" Monkey screamed as loud as he could.

"What are you doing?" Mantis asked Monkey.

"Trying to catch his attention so that Manuel could attack him."

"Hey, guys!" Crane called. "Look! It's Po! He's here!"

While Spider-Man was busy fighting against Goblin, Po arrived at the Palace with his father and Shifu. The panda was huffing as he bent forward. "Ah, I hate stairs," Po commented.

A loud boom made them look at the crater Osborn created with his punch. Mr. Ping was giving his son a side eye. "If you had been much faster, we would've gotten earlier and you could've helped Manuel sooner."

"Not the time for this conversation." Shifu reminded them.

"Ah, right!" Po turned his attention to the fight between his best friend and an ugly creature. Seeing that Manuel was having a hard time against Goblin, Po knew they needed to fight with numbers. "We need to free the Five first." Without hesitation, they freed the Five from their restrains and immediately joined the fight to help Spider-Man.

"Oh, looks like we have visitors," Goblin spoke as he dodged a kick from Tigress. "No matter, you insects are easy to defeat. But my main goal for today is to get rid of Spider-Man once and for all."

"Not on my watch!" Po sent Goblin a punch from behind but was blocked as Goblin used his brute strength.

The Five, along with Shifu, Po, and Spider-Man were working together to bring Osborn down. But the Goblin was too strong for them to handle. Droves of fireballs and attacks were heading their way. The martial arts and spider webs were no match for his super enhanced body and stamina.

It didn't take long for the team to get exhausted and Osborn saw this. "Is this it?" He mocked. "I have heard how strong you guys are, but you are pathetic." With a swing of his arms, he launched an exhausted Shifu across the yard.

"Shifu!" The others called out in worry.

"I expected more!" Goblin yelled as he kicked both Crane and Viper out of his way. He then turned his eyes on a panting Spider-Man. "Especially you, Parker. I thought it would've been way harder, but I'm not complaining as I can finally kill you."

Before he could conjure a fireball, Tigress kicked his arm away from Manuel. "Don't hurt him!"

There was a sadistic glint in Osborn's eyes as if he had realized something. With a smirk on his face, Osborn placed all of his strength on to his next action and added firepower to the attack. The others knew that he was going to do something dangerous but no one was prepared for what happened next.

Osborn punched the ground with full force using his two hands. The added power from his fire ability caused the destruction to be Earth shattering. Literally.

BOOM!

Large flames were bursting from the ground as large cracks appeared on the earth's surface. The Five, Po, Shifu, Mr. Ping, and Manuel were all rattled at the events. The explosion caused them to be blown away and they all landed in different places in the area.

Manuel's ears were ringing from the soundwaves caused by the explosion. He started coughing up blood as he forced himself to remain focused. Osborn was still there, they might get killed.

"No! S-Stop!" Tigress' voice was small, but even the confused Manuel could identify the voice of his wife.

His heart plummeted as he turned his head. The Goblin had picked up Tigress, who was struggling, by the throat. "No!" Spidey's voice was hoarse and filled with anger. "Goblin! Let go of my wife!"

Instead of reacting surprised, Goblin grinned darkly. "Ah, so I was right. This cat here is your lovely wife. How cute." His voice was disgustingly sweet that made the others shiver. "Let her go! You want to kill me, right? Fight me!" Manuel tried to bargain.

Osborn chuckled before replying. "Did you think I will only kill you normally? How boring." He tightened his hold on Tigress' throat. "I'm gonna kill everyone you love in front of you. Wouldn't that be better?"

Tigress started coughing out blood. "Ti!" Manuel cried out worriedly.

"I want to see your face in despair, Spider-Man." As The Goblin was about to kill Tigress, everyone near the vicinity felt the wind around them shift.

In a blink of an eye, Manuel had appeared in front of the Goblin and pulled Tigress away from Osborn's grasp. With his back against the large bulky body of the Goblin, Manuel pushed his wife away from the villain to keep her safe.

"Now, let us fight, Goblin." Manuel turned around. "This time, I won't let you-" Manuel's eyes widen as he felt something strange.

Drip. Drip.

Everyone's eyes went to the center of Manuel's stomach. Their faces were filled with horror as they saw Goblin's whole fist passing through a huge hole on Manuel's body. "Aughh!" Manuel coughed out blood, the red liquid falling onto Goblin's hand.

"Manny!"

"Manuel!"

"No!"

Cries from Manuel's friends and wife echoed through the area. Their hearts dropped as they saw the devastating scene in front of them. Especially Tigress, tears were already starting to form but her mind was still trying to comprehend what had just happened.

The Goblin had no care for their reactions. Pulling his hand away from Manuel caused the hero to splutter more blood as his injury worsened. "Arghhh!!" Manuel screamed in pain.

No one could react when they saw Goblin pick up Manuel by the neck. "This is the end, Spider-Man. Farewell and good riddance."

Without waiting for a reply, Goblin out the Sword of Heroes he had hidden from behind and stabbed Manuel through his midsection. "Ugh! N-No!" Manuel tried to struggle, wanting to escape Death. But he was too weak and Goblin had a good grip on him. Death had a good grip on him.

One. Two. Three. Four. Po, the Five, Mr. Ping, and Shifu were frozen as if they had also been held by an invisible hand on the spot. They watched their friend, best friend, brother, and husband get stabbed multiple times until he wasn't screaming or moving anymore.

When Goblin felt the change in Spider-Man's body, a wide grin appeared on his face as he tossed the lifeless body of Manuel aside. The body made a numbing sound as it hit and skidded across the floor. "That felt amazing!" Goblin laughed wholeheartedly. "I should've done that sooner!"

Tigress was the first one to react. She ignored the sharp stabbing pain all over her body and limped straight towards the body of her husband. "Manny!" She immediately knelt beside him and straightened his body. "No. no. no. no. no. no." She was muttering hurriedly as she tapped his face.

"Please no. Please. Please. Please." Tigress took off his torn up mask. "Please be alive." Tears started to fall down her face, the teardrops landing on Manuel's pale and battered face. The original strong and confident Tigress was nowhere to be seen.

Manuel's eyelids started shifting as he slowly opened his eyes to look at his crying wife beside him. "Manny!"

The rest of them also snapped out from the trance and ran towards Manuel and Tigress. "I'm here Manuel! Stay with us alright? You're gonna be fine." Po knelt on the opposite side of Tigress.

"Manuel! Please stay awake!" Viper cried out as the other followed to encourage and comfort Manuel as well.

Using his last remaining strength, Manuel willed everything he had and struggled to speak. "I'm s-sorry." His voice was so soft, but because of their kung fu training, they were able to pick up on his words.

"You have nothing to be sorry, Manuel." Shifu started to use a technique that would improve the condition of Manuel's body.

"It's too late," Manuel spoke with a sad tone. Everyone knew that his body was way too damaged to be repaired, but they couldn't accept the truth. "No! It's not too late, Manny! Don't- Don't think about that!" Tigress brought his body closer to her.

"I'm sorry that I couldn't stop Goblin. I have failed you guys." Manuel continued to apologize with a small smile on his face.

Po gently took Manuel's limp hand in his. "Don't say that, Man. Stop-"

"We're the ones who should be sorry." Monkey spoke with tears rushing down his face. "We were the ones who failed to save you."

Viper slid near Manuel who she looks up to like a brother. "Manuel, I know you are strong. Please don't leave." The snake kissed Manuel on his cheek.

Monkey started sobbing loudly, and this broke the dam for others. Everyone was crying but Po and Tigress had a harder time. One was losing his best friend while the other was losing her husband.

"Manny. Please… don't leave me. Stay. For me. For us." Tigress started pleading, forgetting that his life was up to the hands of fate. "I don't want to let you go. I love being with you every second!" Her voice was broken as she spoke all of her feelings out.

Manuel gave her a small smile. "I love you too, Ti. My memories with you were one of the best. Thank you for accepting me for who I am." Tigress bent down and kissed her husband on the lips.

"I don't want to say goodbye." Tigress licked Manuel's cheek. She could taste the saltiness from her tears and a hint of rust from blood. "I don't want you to be sad forever, my love." Manuel tried to comfort his wife.

As slowly as he could, Manuel turned his head to address the others around him. "Thank you for everything, you guys." Manuel let out a shaky breath. Turning to look at his wife, Manuel spoke his last words. "I love you. Please take care of our ki-" His voice disappeared as he let out a final breath.

"No!" Tigress screeched. "Manny! Please wake up! I can't lose you! Please!" Each of her words became more urgent than the ones before.

Piercing cries from different individuals rang through the air. The whole Jade Palace was filled with despair and sadness for the loss of their friend. But while everyone else cried, Osborn, the Goblin, was laughing at the background enjoying the scene.

After years of planning, he had finally killed his most hated enemy of all, Manuel Parker, the one and only Spider-Man.
