Not All Fun and Games
When Percy woke up it was to a smell that reminded her of some type of cleaning solution but not overpowering in its scent. A cracked eye showed her that she was in a hospital of some type. Percy couldn't honestly remember a time when she had woken up in an honest to gods hospital. Sure she had woken up in the big house with nectar being poured down her throat in an attempt to heal her but this clean and sterile environment actually threw her for a loop for a few moments.
Perchy's attention was pulled to the far side of the room where she could see a door closing to an office behind a woman walking out. The woman must be a faunus also considering the large fox ears on her head and the tail that was behind her coat and scrubs. Percy sat up in the bed she had been sleeping in and as she settled against the pillow at her back the woman's eyes snapped towards her and Percy could see them light up at seeing her.
"Oh! It seems our new mystery guest is awake and well at last." After saying this she quickly made her way to Percy's side grabbing a clipboard along the way. "Now tell me dear, are you experiencing any dizziness, pain in or around your head, shortness of breath, or difficulties with your vision?"
Percy blinked twice before her brain finally caught up with the series of symptoms that had been tossed her way. "Um, no, nothing like that. I feel pretty good now honestly, but could i get a glass of water?"
The woman hummed in vague agreement as she started marking down on her papers clearly following some type of list. "If you're parched there is a glass of water on the nightstand just there dear." She pointed with her pen just past Percy as she said this.
After drinking her fill of water, what followed for Percy was a series of questions regarding her health and what exactly she could remember from her past. Several times through the questioning she felt the influence of the gods take control to answer certain questions for her. Percy figured it must have something to do with continuing her cover story of having amnesia despite having no idea how the questions exactly related to it. At last the questioning finally wound down with the lady in the doctor's coat writing down the last of her answers before asking her "Okay, as far as we can tell after your long rest you're almost back to one hundred percent. Now, I'm sure you have many questions but the headmaster has asked to see you. Are you up for a chat?"
Percy watched as she moved around the room over to a cabinet where she caught a peek of many different sizes of school uniforms. She quickly pulled out a school uniform that she then set on the bed along with some odd wrapped bars. Percy was a bit caught up on the clothing; for obvious reasons Percy has never had to wear a skirt before. As Percy climbed out of the hospital bed she held the skirt up in front of her knowing deep in her heart that Aphrodite was ecstatic at this development.
As Percy got dressed she learned that the woman who was in charge of the infirmary was Dr. Kitsune and she gave her strict instructions to make sure she ate at least one of the wrapped bars a day. Apparently they were nutrient bars designed to help her recover from her brief stint in the woods. After Percy was dressed she was asked to wait for Glynda to pick her up. Luckily Percy didn't have to wait long before the stern teacher appeared to fetch her. As nice as the doctor was she kept sending Percy glances with amusement dancing behind them seemingly enjoying Percy's discomfort and constant tugging at the hem of her skirt.
Glynda's expression softened to a small smile for a moment directed at her. "Glad to see you well rested. If you follow me I'll lead you to the headmaster's office." She stepped outside the infirmary waiting for Percy. Just before leaving Percy called out a thank you to Dr. Kitsune for her help before hurrying after the longer strides of Ms. Goodwitch.
Percy drank in all the interesting architecture around her. Thanks to her time spent with Annabeth she had at least a slight bit more of an appreciation for the grand designs of the school. Clearly this place was well kept and built with a lot of pride in mind; from all the high arches and wide hallways. Percy started to eat one of her nutrient bars making sure to pay attention as Glynda called out various combat and lesson rooms and areas around the school before she was finally led to an elevator. Percy didn't know how many stories this school had but the elevator ride hints at them going rather high up.
When the elevator doors opened Percy was treated to the sight of a large and imposing room filled with clockwork all around. The main feature being a large desk next to a massive window showing the campus outside with someone waiting by it. The tall silver haired man with a cane was turned away looking out the large window. He cut an impressive image even with the cliche of waiting for people while looking out a window. Glynda led Percy up to the desk and gave an impatient cough. The man quickly turned around and Percy could now see that in his right hand he carried a mug. The headmaster had an air of calm about him as if he was ready to take on any situation with wisdom and strength; it reminded Percy greatly of his teacher chiron.
"Thank you for escorting her up here Glynda. Can I interest any of you in some coffee?" As the headmaster said this he wandered over to a side desk setup with one of the largest coffee makers Percy had ever seen.
Glynda adopted a pinched expression, "No sir i'll be fine as i am." With a quick shake of her head Percy also declined.
"Suit yourselves." he said as he quickly refilled his own mug. "So tell me Miss, do you remember your name or anything we can call you by?" With this he took his own seat at his desk with Percy taking one of the seats at the front and Glynda moving to stand beside his desk.
This question threw Percy for a loop because her first instinct was to say 'Percy' however she felt resistance in her mind at saying that. "Uhh… I don't remember anything like that, no." Percy didn't have to fake the mild distress on her face because she honestly had no idea what she was going to be called if not her original name.
"Would you be opposed to the name Chrome?" Both Percy and the headmaster turned to look at Glynda as she offered the suggestion; Percy with surprise and the headmaster with curiosity.
"What brought on this suggestion Glynda?" Percy could see the headmaster's raised eyebrow as he asked this.
"It seems rather appropriate given her looks sir." With her saying that both adults turned to look at Percy appraisingly.
Percy felt like there was a part of this conversation she was missing. "I don't mind Chrome, if that's what you want to call me…" Honestly Percy had never put forth any focus towards coming up with an alternative name other than his own. Percy had never even really had a nickname unless you counted Seaweed-brain but she had a feeling that one wouldn't work here.
The headmaster gave a low considering 'hmm'. "Well Chrome as i understand you don't have any recollection of where you obtained your impressive fighting skills correct?" The Headmaster leveled an intense and contemplative look at the newly dubbed Chrome.
"I don't remember anything before the woods sir but i must have been taught at some point right?" Chrome hesitated before continuing. "I don't know how I know so much about fighting but it feels natural to me and I enjoy it." Chrome sure hoped that the gods' effect on this world would find a way for her to fight in this world because the thought of living this life doing something even more mundane than the normal activities of camp was dread-filling.
Her words actually seemed to bring a small frown to the headmaster's face. "Tell me Chrome if you had the choice between saving someone from danger or having a fun fight which would you choose?"
Chrome was stunned at this question. "I'd save them of course!" Chrome almost shouted in disbelief that would even be in consideration. Chrome might enjoy fighting and excitement but never at the cost of others.
At her hurried words a small smile crossed the man's face as he leaned back and sipped his coffee. Glynda standing beside the desk gave a small resigned sigh but there was a small smile on her face at odds with the expression. "So Glynda what do you think?" asked the headmaster his face seemed incredibly amused.
"I think, sir, that no matter what i say you've already made up your mind. My objections did not stop Miss Rose's entrance." Glynda said this while shooting an annoyed glare and the headmaster who only looked mildly apologetic. "However there lies the problem that this school year's teams have already been chosen."
Chrome's eyes darted between each adult, a rising hope building in her at their conversation. "Well," said the headmaster pointing behind chrome to the back of the room. "That's what he is for."
Twisting in her chair Chrome looked back to find the same scruffy man named Qrow who had found her on the beach. He had regained his jacket and even now was drinking from a flask as he made his way across the room. "Hey Tiny how are things hangin'?" asked Qrow when he came up beside her ruffling her hair.
Chrome found herself blinking in surprise at just how casual Qrow was and the unexpected hair ruffling. "I'm feeling a lot better now and Glynda gave me the name Chrome now." Never in her life had Chrome ever thought she would be renamed. Of course with godly hijinks involved nothing could be discounted but that doesn't stop it from being a strange situation.
"Chrome Goodwitch huh? Not bad Tiny just don't follow in your mom's footsteps and drain all that is fun from the world." as Qrow was saying this he had a large and unrepentant grin on his face aimed at Glynda who was now sputtering in shock.
Chrome might not have been a son of Hermes but that didn't mean that she couldn't prank with the best of them. Putting on her best confused and hopeful look, Chrome looked at Glynda "she's my mom?" she asked.
"Now wait a moment!" Glynda tried to interrupt, still shocked, only for Qrow to cut her off.
"Eh sorry Glynda you name em', you raise em'." concluded Qrow now holding back laughter. Even the headmaster was hiding his amused smile behind his coffee mug.
As Glynda continued her protests Chrome upped her acting game tilting her head at Qrow with confusion and 'innocence' in her face "Does that mean your my dad?"
Now it was Qrow's turn to gain a poleaxed expression. "Huh, what gave you that idea Tiny?" asked Qrow.
"Well mom named me Chrome and you named me Tiny." Chrome did her best to say this as if stating a universal truth to the world.
At this point the headmaster spoke up his grin now for the most part hidden but an amused glint still in his eye. "While I hate to break up such a touching family conversation; i do need to explain something." His words interrupted Glynda and Qrow's mounting protests. "While it is true that our current first year roster is already full and teams decided. It isn't unusual for beacon to take in busy Hunters young apprentices while they are on more dangerous work." After he finished saying this he gave Qrow a meaningful look.
"Well this would be helpful for tailoring a more specific course for Chrome to catch up on any missing information." mused Glynda as she thought over the idea. "But this leaves the issue of learning teamwork and coordination with others. Beacon prides itself on its teamwork." finished the teacher.
"I figured that she could intermittently join other teams for small scale assignments and fill in on the occasional team that is down a member for various reasons" proposed the headmaster with a growing smile on his face.
Glynda stared down the headmaster for a brief moment. "Alright, provided she shows an acceptable level of combat I can't say that I see a large amount of issues with this."
At her words Qrow snorted "When it comes to grimm trust me she is more than acceptable. However, against a hunter, I'd say we test that now. No apprentice of mine is going to stay at Beacon without being able to take out at least half the class. My reputation wouldn't allow it." Qrow was now looking down at Chrome, a growing grin on his face as he challenged her. The demigod felt her pulse quicken at the thought of the coming fight and couldn't help her own answering grin.
"Then shall we head to one of the combat rooms so the test may begin?" asked the headmaster as he stood and made his way to the elevator. Chrome quickly started to follow the headmaster as Glynda gave Qrow a quick glare before both filed in after.
Walking down the hallways the group gathered interested stares of the occasional passing students. It didn't take much time before they approached a door labeled 'Training Room C-2'. Upon the door opening with a wave from Glynda's scroll the sounds of fighting reached Chrome's ears. The room was set up almost like a mini stadium mixed with a classroom. Curved seat and tables stair-stepped down to a small arena with a large monitor currently displaying the two combatants and bars listed below their names.
In the arena itself was a blur of fighting as a tall boy was being besieged by an incredibly fast girl. The woman had long bunny ears atop her head and was leading the fight at the monet with a series of rapid fire kicks and acrobatics with the large dark skinned young man dressed in burnt orange blocking and dodging as he could occasionally attempting to upset his combattants footing with swift sweeps of his arms. It only took Chrome a moment to discern that the Monitor seemed to measure in some capacity the damage a fighter took. After the crack of a brutal mule kick that sent the tall man sliding back the bar with the name Fox Alistair took a sudden drop into the red.
Suddenly a loud whistle pierced the air startling Chrome to look over and see another woman who had been seated at the bottom of the arena along with another man. "Fox is in the red! Besides, we have visitors." The girl who said this had a commanding air about her as she ordered her teammates to stop. After making sure they had heard her she then turned towards Chrome's group "Is there something my team can help you with headmaster, Ms. Goodwitch?" asked the young woman as she nodded to the teachers.
"Thank you Ms. Adel; if it wouldn't be too much trouble we need a brief use of the combat room. We are hoping to administer a test for a potential new student. It shouldn't take up too much of your training time." Requested the headmaster. At this point the two combatants now join the other two students at the bottom of the arena.
"It's your school headmaster, it's no big skin off my nose if it doesn't take too long. We've got a competition to get ready for after all." As she said this the seeming leader of this group straightened her beret.
"I always find it best to ask." said the headmaster with amusement before he placed a hand on Chrome's shoulder steering her forward lightly. "May I introduce your potential fellow student, Chrome Goodwitch-Branwen." While Chrome couldn't see the headmaster's expression she could feel his amusement with the sudden stuttering of both Qrow and Glynda. "Chrome this is team CVFY, Lead by Ms. Adel. The two you saw fight are Mr. Alistair, Ms. Scarlatina, and their final member is Mr. Daichi." As the headmaster said this he nodded to each student in turn.
"It's nice to meet you all. I really liked your fight…" Chrome wanted to hit herself for the awkward trail off to the sentence but she really didn't know how to continue the conversation.
"Call me Coco, and you seem a bit young to be joining Beacon, not to mention the semester has already started." Coco raised a question eyebrow after finishing.
"Um. I'm going to be joining as a hunter's apprentice if my combat skills are good enough and I didn't know Beacon had an age limit?" After saying this Chrome sent a questioning look at the headmaster just behind her.
"It's rare but we make an exception to the age rule for extreme talent." said the headmaster at Coco's question.
Coco's eyebrows shot up at hearing 'extreme talent' but before she could question further Qrow came forward leading Chrome to the console not far from them on the edge of the arena. "Well let's get this show on the road. Your combat skills aren't going to judge themselves Tiny."
As they walked away Chrome managed to hear one of Coco's teammates whisper "Glynda has a daughter?". Qrow led her to an interesting device and started punching in various commands before asking her to place her hand on a sensor on the console as he placed his scroll on the opposite side. Confused, Chrome placed her palm down shooting a questioning look at Qrow. Just as it looked like Qrow was about to explain what was going on he paused blinking in surprise at some reading scrolling in front of him.
"Uh, hey Glynda, have they changed these things much since I last used em'?" Qrow asked, looking back at Glynda who was standing beside the now seated team CVFY and Headmaster.
Glynda's eyebrow shot up at his question. "A few software updates but nothing significant has changed. Why?" She asked starting to walk over.
"'Cause it's telling me that Tiny here doesn't have her aura unlocked. Which considering I watched her get blindsided by a nevermore the size of a bus makes me doubt it." Said Qrow as he stepped aside letting Glynda access the console.
Seeing Glynda occupied by the reading in front of her, Chrome directed her question to her new 'dad'. "What's aura?" At her question there was an actual spit-take from Coco who had been taking a drink from a bottle of water. Everyone around her had startled expressions at her question with the exception of the headmaster who had a confused look on his face.
"Are you sure she's ready to become a student?" asked Coco after a brief cough on her half choked water. "Aura is kinda a pretty basic essential for being a huntress." she finished looking at the headmaster incredulously.
The headmaster sat thinking for a moment studying Chrome at her question seemingly lost in thought. "Aura is a power that comes from the soul that is drawn out and utilized to protect the body of a hunter and improve their physical abilities. While wreathed in aura a hunter is nigh invincible most damage reduced to nothing. However it can be exhausted the more damage it receives." said the headmaster finally before looking at Qrow "Qrow go ahead and unlock her aura im curious what would happen."
Qrow Pulled her slightly aside from the console. "Alright Tiny, close your eyes and stand still for just a moment." Blinking in mild surprise at the passing events, Chrome did as he instructed, closing her eyes. She felt his hand suddenly upon her forehead and heard him softly mutter under his breath. "Wanderers in destiny and life, seeking but never finding, hoping and unyielding in time. No matter the luck, I unbind this soul." as Qrow had been chanting Chrome felt a soft energy passing from her head down her body it seemed to fill her while simultaneously coalescing at the center of her being. Qrow pulled his hand back from her forehead letting out a low whistle as he stepped back.
Upon opening her eyes Chrome saw that her whole body was now wrapped in a blaze of odd energy giving off a gentle white glow. Looking around the room Chrome saw everyone looking upon her even as she felt the energy seemingly calm down and seem to rest upon her skin fading from visibility. There was a moment of awkward silence where Chrome could feel herself starting to blush at everyone's staring before silence was broken by one of Coco's teammates. "That… is a truly massive amount of aura." Said Fox looking at her in shock.
The headmaster turned to Fox at his statement "Ah, i had almost forgotten that you possessed the ability to see other aura Mr. Alistair. Well with that out of the way there shouldn't be anything stopping the combat test from going forward." At his words, Chrome moved back over to the console where Glynda directed her hand back to the sensor.
With just a few commands typed in by the teacher Chrome saw her name along with Qrow's now displayed with a green bar each. Glynda directed her to the left side of the arena as Qrow took his spot on the right before going over the rules. "This fight is a skill assessment so the fight will continue until either myself or Qrow calls an end. If any participant should enter the red on their aura meter the fight is over and there will be no more fighting. Do you both understand the rules?" Glynda's words were sharp and stern as she made them aware of the rules. Both Chrome and Qrow nodded in response to her question.
Just as Chrome turned to face Qrow she tugged on her powers, a trident of ice forming in an instant as she reached out and grabbed it from the air. Chrome felt the familiar adrenaline building within her at the start of a fight and readied herself crouching slightly, feeling the blood rush in her ears awaiting Glynda's singal. Across from her Qrow stood casually with his massive sword drawn from his back held in front of him. There was a moment of quiet before it was finally broken by Glynda's hand swinging down and her short but concise "Begin!"
The second the signal was given Percy launched herself forward throwing her trident ahead of her aimed at Qrows chest. Just as Qrow's weapon flicked out sending her thrown weapon to the side where it buried into the ground of the arena at the force of her thrown, Chrome dropped low with a newly formed trident. Using her new flexibility for all that it was worth she dodged Qrow's swipe before lunging forward causing Qrow to side step to avoid the thrust. His response was a diagonal cleave down at her prompting her to leap above the strike. While moving upwards Chrome thrust her trident down at Qrow's sword pinning it against the floor as her trident stabbed into the ground, using the now stationary trident as a pole she lashed her legs out in a kick into Qrow's chest.
Feeling the satisfying impact and hearing the brief grunt coming form Qrow at her kick she found herself suddenly unbalanced and falling to the ground. Qrow had twisted his sword with a surge of strength shattering the head of her trident. As she was falling he launched himself forwards shoulder checking her and launching Chrome back where she quickly flipped righting herself to land on her feet crouched and sliding back. Chrome had a small moment to feel the odd difference between being struck with her aura up before the tip of a barrel was pointed at her. She felt her eyes widen at the sudden understanding that there was now a gun pointed at her instead of the sword from before. With a desperate dive roll to the side she took off sprinting feeling only the slight impact on her aura from catching a small portion of the shotgun blast. Knowing she was running out of arena, Chrome yanked on her powers again, feeling her tridents near Qrow and turning them to water. Turning back to Qrow, Chrome watched his surprise expression as his arms were encased in ice, throwing off his aim and hopefully freezing his trigger finger. With the small reprieve she launched herself forwards another trident formed lunging at Qrow. He ducked and dodged as Chrome began a flurry of thrusts.
She had to adapt to the fact that contact with her weapon now bounced off of aura instead of sinking into flesh as she was used to. Just as Qrow decided to just swing his weapon frozen to his hand and all at her like a mace Chrome ducked under the bludgeon spinning her trident like a quarterstaff attempting to take Qrows footing out from under him. Seeing her attack, Qrow leaped backwards into a backflip Just as he landed, his arms strained for just a moment before his hands shattered free from his weapon. Chrome threw herself forward hoping to keep her momentum only to suddenly be sent flying to the side smashing into the ground. Qrow now held a massive and vicious scythe that caught Chrome off guard. Qrow seemed to be kicking things up another notch launching himself forward with intense speed, his scythe sweeping out at her on the ground. Chrome found herself desperately rolling to the side again and just as she was about to get to her feet Qrow's foot slammed into her side sending her skipping across the arena from the force of the blow.
It took Chrome a moment to right herself, once her feet were back under her she launched her trident forwards at the quickly approaching Qrow to buy herself a precious moment of time as he twisted away from it. With a strong tug on her powers almost aching her stomach at the force of it she pulled on the water vapor from all over the room forming a low hanging mist on the area reaching about Qrows shins. Forming an array of tridents around her and grabbing one she launched them at the now very close Qrow. He tanked the blows of her projectiles to get up close to her, his scythe sweeping out in lightning fast arcs sending Chrome through a series of acrobatic dodges and contortions to evade being hit. Unbidden thought of the last time she faced a scythe user came back to her. Facing against Kronos definitely ranked as one of her more difficult fights and Qrow seemed to be just as skilled if not more so.
Qrow swung down in a giant cleave leading Chrome to take the risk of twisting just the slightest amount allowing the blade skim past her skin. Once the Blade was low enough to the ground she yanked on her power forming from the mist a large amount of ice on the blade freezing it to the ground. Using the small moment of surprise Chrome let loose a salvo of thrust from her trident at Qrow. Surprisingly Qrow actually let go of his weapon to skid back and gain a reprieve from her blows. Just as Chrome was about to launch herself forwards again she was caught off guard as Qrow surged forwards, his fist actually smashing through her frozen weapon that she had held up to block the attack. The blow thundered into Chrome actually leaving her gasping at the force of it as she was launched back. Qrow pressed his advantage now engaging in unarmed combat. Chrome had very little unarmed training and it showed as despite her dodging and incredible feats of flexibility she was slowly being worn down from the attacks coming from Qrow.
Needing something to regain the advantage, Chrome yanked once more on her powers causing the gathered mist to now form a small cloud of thick fog around her and Qrow. She took a risk of rolling across the ground towards Qrows feet to get behind him. In the moments it took Qrow to get used to the sudden lack of visibility she formed another trident in her hands and taking a deep breath she pulled massively on her powers, the fog around them now forming dozens of her tridents which she sent cascading at Qrow. Seeing the array of weapons descending on him, Qrow crossed his arms and ducked low bracing against the many impacts on his aura. Without the time to redirect the weapons before they struck many of them sailed over his head striking the arena floor leaving the incredibly odd sight of an arena filled with poles of ice.
Sprinting forwards Chrome tried to strike out at Qrow with her Trident expecting him to once again close in and try to get within unarmed range only for Qrow to lunge into a side roll. In the time it took Chrome to pull her trident back from her lunge and turn back towards Qrow he had reached his weapon encased in ice. Grabbing the handle of his scythe, Chrome watched as the blade retracted from the ice to reform into a sword, the whole process hesitating only a moment from the ice holding it. Now wielding his sword Qrow threw himself at Chrome a veritable orb of whirling steel with swings strong enough to shatter her weapon should she attempt to block them. Attempting to preserve her weapon, Chrome began to back up, desperately dodging his blows. While retreating Chrome felt as her back hit something behind her and she had just a moment to remember the series of trident she had left buried into the ground before Qrow's sword thundered into her, bending her in half with the force of it. She felt multiple poles of ice shatter as she flew back and finally crashed into the ground. Once she had stopped sliding across the arena, Chrome launched herself to her feet ready to face Qrow again only for a sharp horn to sound across the room.
Chrome was startled to hear this noise and had to slowly calm her labored breathing as she tried to settle down from the racing adrenaline. Looking up at the monitors that Chrome had honestly forgotten about, she saw her bar now was in the red with Qrow's own bar in the yellow maybe just a little below halfway. She had a moment of disappointment at this before she felt a hand ruffling her hair. Looking up she saw the grinning face of Qrow.
"Hell of a fight there Tiny." Said Qrow, his hand now resting on her head and leading her back towards the others.
"I don't know about that, I barely got you below halfway." Chrome said not being able to help the mild disappointment at the result of the fight.
With a small cough Glynda spoke up. "Loathe as I am to admit it, Qrow is one of the best hunters in all of Vale. Most people would be shocked to discover that someone your age was able to fight Qrow as well as you did. If I'm honest I'd say that only a little over half of our first year students could even land a hit on him."
"Indeed Chrome, your performance was most impressive. Though I'm curious what exactly are the limits of your hydrokinesis? Could you have frozen Qrow solid?" Asked the Headmaster standing from his seat by Team CVFY.
"My power does strain me the more water I use at a time but the most limiting factor is needing water nearby. While I was stuck in the forest I learned to pull water from the air around me but it's a lot harder than using water directly. I probably could have frozen Qrow but it would have taken a few seconds to pull in all the water needed. It would have been too slow against him." explained Chrome as she watched the gathering Team CVFY who was listening in with interest.
"An incredibly powerful semblance, I'm sure it will serve you well. So tell me Qrow, does she pass your test?" asked the headmaster looking at the man standing beside her.
"Heh, course she does. My kid's gonna blow those first years out of the water. Can't wait to introduce her to my nieces." said Qrow stretching out his back with a few pops coming from his efforts.
At this point the leader of team CVFY stepped forward. "You fight as well as you look, Chrome, you ever need anyone to show you around any of us from CFVY would be happy to help." with saying this she lowered her shades and gave Chrome a wink causing the demigods face to erupt into a large blush. "Well, see you around cutie." Finished Coco as she and her team packed up the last of their things and left the room.
It took a few moments for Chrome to fight down the furious blush across her face to the obvious amusement of the laughing Qrow. Turning to look at the adults gathered around, "Uh, what's next?" she asked, glancing between the teachers and Qrow.
"Well we will need to head into town to get you some clothes and order you a weapon from the forgemaster at some point" said Glynda pulling up her scroll and seemingly jotting down a list.
"But most importantly," said the headmaster, smiling at her "welcome to Beacon."
Author's Notes
Thank you so much to all the reviews, follows and likes. I love to see others' opinions on this story! This is my first time really attempting writing for fun so I'm sure there will be hiccups and learning experiences along the way. I'm very interested to know what everyone's thoughts are on the fight scene in this chapter; I've never written anything like that before. Hope everyone has a great day.
