Day 14: Movie date
When someone wanted to take you somewhere while wearing a blindfold, just make sure you know you can trust them.
Luckily, Marinette trusted Chat Noir with her life.
The last time Chat had asked her to close her eyes while he carried her to a mystery location, things ending up being very beautiful, as well as eye-opening. But that was before they were officially dating. Now that they were, she was even more excited.
She didn't know where they were going or what they where doing. The only thing he asked of her was to pack another basket full of pastries and be ready just after sunset. So she did.
She could feel the evening air hitting the side of her face as he carried her across the roofs of Paris with the basket in her lap. Finally, after a few minutes, she felt him stop running and start to walk slower. Then she heard what sounded like a door opening. He walked a little further, then stopped and put her down on her own two feet.
There she stood as Chat took the basket out of her hands.
"Okay, Chat. Can I take this off now?" she asked.
"Alright. Go ahead."
Marinette reached up and pulled the blindfold down to hang loosely around her neck as she looked around at her surroundings.
They were standing in the Grand Palais exhibition hall. The first thing she noticed was the big white screen set up, then a projector on the other side of the main room pointed at said screen. Then in between the two, there was a large blanket laid out, covered with pillows and cushions of various shapes, sizes, and colors.
Marinette smiled. "Oh, Chat," she gushed, extremely touched.
"You like it?"
"It's wonderful," she said, stepping closer to him to wrap her arms around him neck. "Our own, private movie screening," she added after pulling away and looking around again. But then her smile fell and she turned back to him when a thought occurred to her. "But-"
Sensing her concern, Chat answered right away. "Don't worry. I have permission," he reassured her. Marinette sighed in relief that they weren't going to get charged for breaking and entering, and/or trespassing. "The equipment wasn't hard to get either," he added as they walked over to the blanket and cushions.
"So, what movie are we watching?"
"A classic," Chat said, putting the basket down. "The Mask of Zorro."
Marinette's face lite up. "Wow, I can't remember the last time I watched that all the way through. That's a great movie."
"It's one of my favorites."
"I can see why," she smirked. "It is about a masked, justice seeking, vigilante in black."
Chat smirked back at her. "Don't forget, charming and devilishly handsome," he said, striking a pose.
"Mmm, Antonio Banderas is pretty handsome. Even today," she teased. Chat dropped the pose and hunched himself over in dismay. "And so are you, silly kitty." Hearing this, Chat immediately perked up. "Let's sit and getting it started," she said, sitting down on the cushions and getting comfortable.
"Oh! Almost forgot," Chat darted away to the other side of the room but quickly returned with a huge bowl and a six pack of can soda in his arms. "Popcorn, for my princess," he said charmingly as he sat down beside her.
"Thank you," Marinette said as she took a soda, then grabbed her basket and pulled out a box of macaroons. "And sweets, for my sweet knight," she said, offering them to him.
Chat turned on the projector and the two snuggled close as the screen lit up.
"Comfy?" Chat asked his princess who was laying against his chest.
"Mmmm, very," she hummed to him before grabbed a handful of popcorn and shoving it in her mouth and focusing back on the screen as the movie started.
Normal public picnics and movie theaters for dates were overrated.
Marinette would take any kind of date; private or public, disguises and getting mobbed by fans, as long as she was with her kitty though it all.
See u tomorrow =^.^=
