Luz laid down in the makeshift bed she made in her cave. She had the meat frozen in with an ice glyph and placed in a cooler, AKA a hollowed out log she filled with ice. Not like she needed it, it was getting to the cold season, temperatures got to as cold as thirty below, they would stay frozen. She had her tools against the cave wall, and Eda's staff was hung on the cave wall. Luz laid down to go to sleep, it was a long day and she was exhausted. She was in rem sleep when she felt something climb on her. Knowing every animal on the Knee, means she knew it couldn't hurt her at the size she felt. Luz opened her eyes and looked at what was on her. It was the baby Slitherbeast. If this was Luz from a year ago, she would've cooed over the little baby, but this wasn't that Luz Noceda, this was the Luz Noceda that has lost everything. Her home, her friends, her family, everything she had was gone. So, it's safe to say that this Luz wasn't willing to get attached to something that would eventually leave her. Luz sat up, grabbed the slitherbeast, walked out of the cave, and set it down on the ground. Luz turned around and walked back into the cave... the baby following her closely. Luz stopped, picked it up and walked back to the cave entrance. She set the baby down again and walked inside, closing the curtains she made for the entrance. She laid back in her bed and was sleeping... for a couple of minutes. Luz opened her eyes again and saw the baby slitherbeast, laying on her legs.

"You're going to do this all night, aren't you?" Luz asked.

The baby just walked up to her and nuzzled up against her. Luz groaned, she was too tired for this.

"Fine, but tomorrow I'm finding a new place for you to go."

Luz pulled the blanket over herself and went back to sleep. The baby walked up to her and curled up next to her head, licking her cheek a little. The next day, Luz was out with the baby, her quiver and bow on her back, a spear in her hand, and her knife and sword strapped to her waist. Luz found a nice space that the baby could stay.

"Here we go. You should be fine here, there's a nice cave to live in, you'll be fine." Luz said, turning around.

The baby started to follow her, but she shut that down.

"No, stay!"

The baby sits and Luz walks away. She makes it a few hundred feet away from the baby when she hears growling. She heard the baby whimper and closed her eyes.

"Don't do it." Luz said, "It's a wild animal, you don't need to lose anyone else if you just live alone."

There was more growling, making Luz debate with herself. Finally coming to a decision... she kept walking.
