Time Skip, because not much happened, at least, not much for a chapter.

A group of six Emperor's Coven guards were on the knee, looking for their target. She's gone almost eight years without being caught, constantly slipping away because of her knowledge of the land. Luz, the twenty three, almost twenty four, year old, was putting a new roof on her cabin. The previous one got damaged in a recent snowstorm and she had to fix it before then next storm.

"This should hold." Luz said, hamming the last long into place, "Better check on Blizzard's Stable and make sure the storm can't hurt her."

As Luz was going to the ladder, she heard the sounds of coven members. She got down the ladder and ran inside. She got her ghillie suit on and grabbed her bow. She strapped a quiver to her back and ran out the door and into the bushes. She was getting tired of this, she hasn't done anything but defend her home, and she was getting attacked because of it. This is the equivalent of someone breaking into your house and trying to kill you, then calling the cops, and then they pull up and shoot you. Her time here has changed her, she was afraid to kill... was being the key word. Nine years can change a person. Belos was sending stronger troops each time, glyphs weren't going to be enough sooner or later, and she hasn't been able to connect with the Isles, so either she will get killed, or... she doesn't have choice. She fired an arrow at a tree, distracting them. She needed to know which one had the strongest raw magic.

"Spread out and look for her." One said.

Luz watched, waiting for them to use magic. When they each did, she found witch one was the strongest, and pulled an arrow back. She fired and the arrow went through the back of his head. He dropped and the other five started to look around.

"Where did that come from!?" One asked.

"From the target, of course! Find her!" Another said.

The remaining soldiers spread out to find Luz as she climbed up into the trees, to get a better visual of them and to hide so they couldn't find her.

'One down, five more to go.' Luz thought as she jumped to another tree and took aim with a new arrow.

Now that the strong one was out of the way, she doesn't need to be careful where she hit.

Luz took aim at one that seemed to be using a beast keeping spell on their eyes, searching for footprints.

'You go out first.' Luz thought.

She let go of the arrow and watched it fly into the heart of the coven member.

"Guh!" they grunted in pain before they hit the ground, dead.

'That makes two.' Luz thought as she jumped for find the others, 'Time to pull out the fun arrows.'

Luz pulled out her fire glyph arrow and pulled it back. She tapped the arrowhead and aimed to the sky, releasing the arrow and watching it arch and land directly behind two of them, burning both from the dead plants.

'And then there were 2.' Luz thought as she looked around for the last two before noticing was was heading in the direction of her cabin, 'Shit!'

Jumping from tree to tree, Luz moved as fast as she could to kill this coven member especially. If they got away, they would reveal her hide out to Belos and send an entire army to wipe her out. Luz fired another arrow, killing the one before she jumped down and tackled the other one. He knocked her off and got to his feet as Luz did as well.

"Well, it seems that you're out of arrows." He said.

Luz reached up and found that he was right, her quiver was out of arrows.

'Guess that's what I guess for not making more arrows' Luz thought.

"Then I guess we'll need to do this the old fashioned way." Luz said, tightening her grip on her bow, fully intending on using it as a weapon.

The coven member used ice magic to create a sword and held it with both hands. Luz spun her bow and held it low in a slouch with one arm up to guard.

'Aim for the throat.' Luz thought, thinking of a stab to be prudent enough to end this.

Luz tried to hit him, but he blocked with the sword. Luz knew enough about fighting to know that the only way to beat him is to get behind him. Luz went on the defensive with her bow as he charged at her with the sword. Luz dodged his swing before she ducked, sliding to sweep his feet and get him on the ground before hooking his neck with the bow to chock him. Luz moved the bow quickly, causing his neck to snap. She got up and grabbed the first body she killed.

"Don't think this is personal, it's not." Luz said to the body, "I just need you."
