Author's Note: It would've been so cool to see the original Skywalker family members such as Mara Jade, Ben Skywalker, Jacen, Jaina and Anakin Solo in this Lego game. Even Allana Solo (the daughter of Jacen Solo and Tenel Ka Djo). I bet the game would've cooler and fit more 'the Skywalker Saga' title.
I don't own Star Wars or its characters
I only own Lisa Naberrie Skywalker and my other OCs. Enjoy!

Chapter 70: Return of the Jedi Part 4
In Endor…
The strike squad crouched behind a woodsy ridge overlooking the Imperial outpost.
Leia viewed the area through a small electronic scanner as she stood with Han, Chewbacca, Ferus, Nadia, Zack, Gwen and the rest of the squad.
Among the strike squad was Rex, Gregor, Wolffe, Boost and Warthog.
Two shuttles were being off-loaded on the landing platform docking ramp. Several walkers were parked nearby.
Stormtroopers stood around, helped with construction, took watch and carried supplies.
The massive shield generator hummed off to the side.
Zack notice Luke and Lisa weren't around causing him to look at his father.
"Where are Luke and Lisa, father?"Zack questioned.
"They went to confront Vader, Zack."Ferus answered.
Nadia glanced at Ferus, not believing what she just heard.
"Did you really let them go to Vader?"Nadia questioned.
Ferus let out a sigh.
"I had to, Nadia."Ferus said with a small frown. "They still believe there is good in him."
Nadia frowned. "And you believe them?"
"I don't know."Ferus answered. "But it's time I have more faith in their words. Padmé did too."
Nadia gives Ferus a bittersweet smile.
The black haired woman did remember Padmé's last words as well, but had a hard time believing they were true.
"This is not going to be easy."Leia informed.
"Chewie and I have gotten into more heavily guarded places than this."Han replied.
One of the Ewoks spoke to Threepio.
"What's he saying?"Gwen asked.
"He says there is a secret entrance on the other side of the ridge."Threepio announced.
"Then that's where we're going."Ferus stated.
In Space…
The vast Rebel fleet hung poised in space, ready to strike.
It was hundreds of light-years from the Death Star, but in hyperspace, all time was a moment, and the deadliness of an attack was measured not in distance but in precision.
The calculations required to launch such a meticulously coordinated offensive at lightspeed made it necessary to fix on a stationary point—that is, stationary relative to the point of reentry from hyperspace.
The point chosen by the Rebel command was a small, blue planet of the Sullust system.
The armada was positioned around it, now, this unblinking cerulean world. It looked like the eye of the serpent.
The Millennium Falcon finished its rounds of the fleet's perimeter, checking final positions, then pulled into place beneath the flagship. The time had come.
Lando was at the controls of the Falcon. Beside him, his copilot, Nien Nunb, a jowled, mouse-eyed creature from Sullust, flipped switches, monitored readouts and made final preparations for the jump to hyperspace.
"We're in position."Lando announced. "All fighters are accounted for."
"Prepare for the jump to hyperspace."Admiral Ackbar ordered.
Nien Nunb mumbled something beside Lando.
"Don't worry, they'll have that shield down."Lando assured. "Or this will be the shortest offense ever."
"All craft make the jump to hyperspace."Admiral Ackbar ordered.
The entire rebel fleet made the successful jump to hyperspace to prepare for the upcoming battle.
Back in Endor…
Leia, Han, Chewbacca, Ferus, Nadia, Zack, Gwen and the rest of the strike squad carefully made their way to the other side of the ridge, where they spotted the secret entrance.
Flattened down in the bushes on the ridge with the strike force were several Ewoks, including Wicket, Paploo, Teebo, and Warwick.
The rest stayed lower, behind the knoll, out of sight.
Leia put down the scanner and scuttled back to the others.
"The entrance is on the far side of that landing platform."Leia exclaimed. "This isn't going to be easy."
Chewbacca let out a growl.
"You're right, Chewie."Han agreed. "With just those guards this should be easier than breaking a Bantha."
"It only takes one to sound the alarm."Leia complemented.
"Then we'll have to do this real quiet-like."Han admitted. "If Luke and Lisa can just keep Vader off our backs, like you said they said they would, this oughta be no sweat. Just gotta hit those guards fast and quiet..."
Threepio whispered to Teebo and Paploo, explaining the problem and the objective.
The Ewoks babbled giddily a moment, then Paploo jumped up and raced through the underbrush.
Nadia checked the instrument on her wrist.
"We're running out of time."Nadia informed. "The fleet's in hyperspace by now."
Threepio muttered a question to Teebo and received a short reply.
"Oh, dear."Threepio replied, starting to rise, to look into the clearing beside the bunker.
"Stay down!"Han snapped.
"What is it, Threepio?"Leia demanded.
"I'm afraid our furry companion has gone and done something rash."Threepio admitted.
"What are you talking about?"Leia asked, her voice cut with an edge of fear.
"Oh, no."Gwen said nervously. "Look."
Paploo had scampered down through the bushes to where the scouts' bikes were parked.
Now, with the sickening horror of inevitability, the Rebel leaders watched the little ball of fur swing his pudgy body up onto one of the bikes and begin flipping switches at random.
Before anyone could do anything, the bike's engines ignited with a rumbling roar.
The four scouts looked over in surprise.
Paploo grinned madly and continued flipping switches.
Ferus shook his head as Zack frowned at what he was seeing
"There goes our chance for a surprise attack."Ferus retorted.
The Imperial scouts raced toward Paploo just as the forward drive engaged, zooming the little teddy bear into the forest.
"After him!"A scout trooper shouted.
Three of the scout troopers jumped on their own bikes, and sped off in pursuit of the hotrod Ewok.
The fourth scout trooper stayed at his post, near the door of the bunker.
"Not bad for a ball of fuzz."Han complemented and looked at Threepio. "You stay here."
Leia, Han, Chewbacca, Ferus, Nadia, Zack, Gwen and the rest of the strike squad made their move as Threepio stood next to Artoo.
"I have decided that we shall stay here."Threepio announced.
On the Death Star…
Darth Vader's shuttle settled onto the docking bay of the Death Star.
The Dark Lord and his children emerged from the snout of the beast with a small escort of stormtroopers and walked rapidly across the cavernous main bay to the Emperor's tower elevator.
The royal guards awaited them there, flanking the shaft, bathed in a carmine glow.
They opened the elevator door causing Luke and Lisa to step forward with Darth Vader following them from behind.
Unlike Luke, this was going to be Lisa's second time being face to face with Darth Sidious.
The first time she met the Emperor was when she came to Coruscant and introduce herself as the newly elected Queen of Naboo.
But this time she didn't held the title of Queen or had any royal guards to protect her.
She was now just Lisa Naberrie and had her brother, Luke accompanying her. That was all she needed.
The elevator door soon opened as Luke, Lisa and Darth Vader walked out into the throne room, across the unlit ante-chamber, up the grated stairs to stand before the throne.
The Dark Lord and his children stood side by side before the gaze of Darth Sidious.
"Welcome young Skywalkers, I have been expecting you."Darth Sidious declared. "You no longer need those."
Darth Sidious used the Force causing Luke and Lisa's binders to simply fell down, clattering noisily to the floor.
Darth Sidious glanced at the royal guards near the elevator door.
"Guards, leave us."Darth Sidious ordered.
The red hooded guards bowed and walked away, leaving the Skywalker siblings with the two Sith Lords.
"I look forward to completing your training."Darth Sidious stated with a sadistic smile. "In time you will call me, Master."
"You're gravely mistaken."Luke said, his voice surprisingly steady. "You won't convert us like you did our father."
"And besides, you'd have to have a little respect for us to call you that."Lisa complemented firmly. "Something you are lacking."
"Oh no, my young Jedi, you will find it is you who is mistaken."Darth Sidious declared. "About a great many things."
Darth Sidious walked over to the two Skywalkers now and was leaning over them intimidatingly.
"Their lightsabers."Darth Vader said.
Darth Vader handed the three lightsabers of his children to the Emperor.
"Ah, yes. A Jedi's weapon. Much like your father's."Darth Sidious remarked before glaring at Luke and Lisa. "You must now know that your father will never turn from the dark side of the Force. As it will be with you."
The last word seemed to be directed at Lisa, whose darkness was far more under control than her father or brother's.
"Your wrong."Luke informed.
"We'll never turn."Lisa stated. "And soon, you'll be dead."
The Emperor laughed, a vile laugh.
"Perhaps you refer to the imminent attack of your Rebel fleet."Darth Sidious assumed and frowned. "I assure you we are quite safe from your friends here."
Darth Sidious began heading back to his throne as Luke and Lisa watched him.
"Your overconfidence is your weakness."Luke informed.
"Your faith in your friends is yours."Darth Sidious retorted.
"At least we have loyal people to have faith in."Lisa said slightly.
"I consider your father to be a great friend, child."Darth Sidious snarled.
Darth Vader looked at Luke and Lisa.
"It is pointless to resist, my children."Darth Vader reminded.
"Everything that has transpired has done so according to my design. Your friends up there on the sanctuary moon are walking into a trap as is your rebel fleet."Darth Sidious declared. "It was I who allowed the Alliance to know the location of the shield generator. It is quite safe from your pitiful little band. An entire legion of my best troops awaits them. Oh, I'm afraid the deflector shield will be quite operational when your friends arrive."
The Emperor's mock sympathy turned to a sadistic grin as he leaned back in his chair.
Luke and Lisa's eyes widened with shock.
If they failed...this was the end for all of them.
Back in Endor…
Leia, Han, Chewbacca, Ferus, Gwen and the rest of the strike squad made their way down the labyrinthine corridors toward the area where the shield generator room was marked on the stolen map.
Nadia and Zack were outside the shield generator with Warthog and Boost to take out the returning stormtroopers.
But they were alarmed to see themselves suddenly surrounded by the Imperial Fleet, like someone had alerted all personnel on the planet that they were there, plus some reinforcements.
"Great."Boost muttered.
"The whole mission was a trap waiting to wipe us out."Nadia retorted.
Ferus and the others stood closely together as they followed Leia deeper into the dark room.
Yellow lights illuminated the low rafters, casting long shadows at each intersection.
At the first three turnings, all remained quiet; they saw no guard or worker.
Leia thought briefly of Luke and Lisa.
The Princess of Alderaan hoped her siblings could detain Vader at least long enough to allow her to destroy this shield generator; she hoped even more dearly they could avoid such a confrontation altogether. For she feared Vader was the stronger than the two of them.
Leia led her companions the way down the dark and low-beamed tunnel.
At the fourth cross-corridor, six stormtroopers stood a wary watch.
However, Ferus and Gwen slashed them down before they and the rest continued onward.
They'd have to hurry now before a general alarm was set.
The power center that controlled the shield generator was very near. And there would be no second chances.
Han pressed the button on his wrist-unit and covered his head: the reinforced door to the main control room blew into melted pieces.
The Rebel Squad stormed through the gaping portal, taking out a bunch of stormtroopers in the process.
They herded all the personnel into one corner of the bunker.
Leia, Han, Chewbacca, Ferus and Gwen stood covering the exits as the rest began placing the explosive charges.
Leia studied one of the screens on the control panel.
"Hurry, Han, look!"Leia warned. "The fleet's being attacked!"
Han looked over at the screen.
"Blast it!"Han scowled. "With the shield still up, they're backed against the wall."
"That is correct."A voice responded from the rear of the room. "Just as you are."
Han, Leia, Chewbacca, Ferus and Gwen all spun around to find a bunch of Imperial guns trained on them; an entire legion had been hiding in the wall compartments of the bunker.
Now, in a single moment, the rebels were surrounded—nowhere to run, far too many stormtroopers to fight.
Completely surrounded.
More Imperial troops charged through the door, roughly disarming the stunned commandos.
Han, Chewbacca and Leia exchanged helpless, hopeless looks.
They'd been the Rebellion's last chance.
They'd failed.
Ferus and Gwen were forced to surrender as well, but they hid Artoo with their bodies so he could keep working at the terminal.
In Space…
The Rebel fleet broke out of hyperspace with an awesome roar.
Amid glistening streamers of light, battalion after battalion emerged in formation, to fire off toward the Death Star and its Sanctuary Moon hovering brightly in the close distance.
Soon the entire navy was bearing down on its target, the Millennium Falcon in the lead.
Lando was worried from the moment they came out of hyper-space. He checked his screen, reversed polarities, queried the computer.
The co-pilot was perplexed as well.
"But how could that be?" Lando demanded."We've got to be able to get some kind of reading on the shield, up or down."
Who was conning whom on this raid?
Nien Nunb pointed at the control panel, shaking his head.
"Jammed? How could they be jamming us if they don't know we're...coming."Lando finished.
Lando looked at the onrushing Death Star, as the implications of what he'd just said sank in.
This was not a surprise attack, after all.
It was a spider web.
He hit the switch on his comlink.
"Break off the attack!"Lando ordered. "The shield's still up!"
Red Leader's voice shouted back over the headphones.
"I get no reading, are you sure?"Red Leader asked.
"Pull up!"Lando commanded. "All craft pull up!"
Lando banked hard to the left, the fighters of the Red Squad veering close on his tail.
Some didn't make it.
Three flanking X-wings nicked the invisible deflector shield, spinning out of control, exploding in flames along the shield surface.
None of the others paused to look back.
On the Rebel Star Cruiser bridge, alarms were screaming, lights flashing, klaxons blaring, as the mammoth space cruiser abruptly altered its momentum, trying to change course in time to avoid collision with the shield.
Officers were running from battle stations to navigation controls; other ships in the fleet could be seen through the view-screens, careening wildly in a hundred directions, some slowing, some speeding up.
Admiral Ackbar spoke urgently but quietly into the comlink.
"Take evasive action."Admiral Ackbar ordered. "Green Group steer course for Holding Sector. MG-7 Blue group—"
A Mon Calamari controller, across the bridge, called out to Ackbar with grave excitement.
"Admiral, we have enemy ships at Sector RT-23 and PB-4."the Controller informed.
The large central view-screen was coming alive.
It was no longer just the Death Star and the green moon behind it, floating isolated in space.
Now the massive Imperial fleet could be seen flying in perfect, regimental formation, out from behind Endor in two behemoth flanking waves heading to surround the Rebel fleet from both sides, like the pincers of a deadly scorpion.
And the shield barricaded the Alliance in front. They had nowhere to go.
"It's a trap!"Hera warned. "Prepare for attack!"
An anonymous fighter pilot's voice came back over the radio.
"Fighters coming in!"A fighter pilot informed. "Here we go!"
The attack began.
The battle was joined.
However, the TIE fighters were much faster than the bulky Imperial Cruisers, so they were the first to make contact with the Rebel invaders.
Savage dogfights ensued and soon the black sky was aglow with ruby explosions.
An aide approached Admiral Ackbar.
"We've added power to the forward shield, Admiral."the aide reported.
"Good."Admiral Ackbar answered. "Double power on the main battery, and-"
Suddenly the Star Cruiser was rocked by thermonuclear fireworks outside the observation window.
"Gold Wing is hit hard!"Another officer shouted, stumbling up to the bridge.
"Give them cover!"Admiral Ackbar ordered. "We must have time!"
He spoke again into the comlink, as yet another detonation rumbled the frigate.
"All ships, stand your position!"Admiral Ackbar demanded. "Wait for my command to return!"
Inside the Death Star…
"Come, young Skywalkers. See for yourselves."Darth Sidious insisted. "From here you will witness the final destruction of the Alliance and the end of your insignificant rebellion."
Luke and Lisa walked over to the viewport to see the sight before them.
There they saw a bunch of X-wings blasted down by approaching TIE fighters around the Death Star.
Lisa was getting worried deep down about Ezra and the remaining members of the Ghost Crew, but she stood her ground.
She can't let her fears get the best of her.
"Even if its the end for all of us, we've leave a spark that will grow faster until you are taken down."Lisa informed softly. "Even if it's not by us."
But Lisa's words were empty, more there to reassure herself than to threaten the Emperor.
Luke was looking more and more angry, glancing back and forth between the window and his lightsaber, Lisa also becoming more and more desperate.
"You want this, don't you? The hate is swelling in you now. Take your Jedi weapon."Darth Sidious encouraged. "I am unarmed. Strike me down with all your anger. With each passing moment, you become more my servants."
Luke and Lisa turned around to look at Darth Sidious.
"No."Luke and Lisa whispered in unison.
"It is unavoidable. They are your destinies."Darth Sidious announced. "You, like your father, are now mine."
Back on Endor…
Han, Leia, Chewbacca, Ferus, Gwen and the strike team was escorted out of the shield generator bunker.
The forest was now surrounded by Imperial soldiers, stormtroopers and AT-AT walkers.
It took both Ferus and Gwen to realize this was a trap that the Emperor had sprung on all of them as they looked at Nadia, Zack and the two former clone troopers they had left outside standing with their arms over their heads and surrounded by stormtroopers.
"Alright."A scout trooper demanded. "Move it."
They imperial army stopped and then heard Threepio's voice calling out to them.
"Hello! I say, over there!"Threepio called out. "Were you looking for me?"
The imperials all looked in his direction on top of a small hill.
Chewbacca growled at the golden droid.
"Bring that droid down here!"A stormtrooper demanded.
The stormtroopers went up the hill to capture Threepio.
"Don't hurt me!"Threepio panicked. "I surrender!"
Suddenly, a couple of Ewoks emerged from a fallen log and attacked the stormtroopers to defend Threepio.
Then an Ewok above a tree blew on his battle horn causing a big army of Ewoks holding spears and pointing arrows at the imperial army that held the Jedi and the strike team at gunpoint.
Seeing that the timing was right, Nadia plucked her lightsaber from an imperial officer's hand and ignited it.
Her husband and their two children followed suit and they began taking out several stormtroopers in their way.
Rex punched a stormtrooper on the jaw and took his blaster as Han retrieved blasters for himself, Leia and Chewbacca.
Leia, Han, Gwen and Artoo made it to the shield doors as they slid shut.
The Alderaanian Princess looked at the control panel and pressed the code.
"The code's changed."Gwen warned.
Gwen used her lightsaber to slash down three approaching stormtroopers to defend Leia and Han.
"Hurry, Artoo!"Leia ordered as she shot with her blaster.
"Here's the terminal."Han commented, opening a small hatch beside him.
"Artoo, where are you?"Leia asked in her comlink. "We need you at the bunker right away."
On the Death Star…
The Emperor, Darth Vader, Luke and Lisa watched the aerial battle rage from the safety of the throne room in the Death Star.
It was a scene of pandemonium.
Silent, crystalline explosions surrounded by green, violet or magenta auras.
Wildly vicious dogfights.
Gracefully floating crags of melted steel; icicle sprays that might have been blood.
Luke and Lisa watched in horror as another Rebel ship toppled against the unseeable deflector shield, exploding in a fiery concussion.
Darth Vader watched Luke and Lisa.
His son and daughter were powerful, stronger than he'd imagined. And still pliable.
Not lost yet either to the sickening, weakly side of the Force, that had to beg for everything it received or to the Emperor, who feared Luke and Lisa with reason.
There was yet time to take Luke and Lisa for his own. To retake them.
To join with them in dark majesty.
To rule the galaxy together.
It would only take patience and a little wizardry to show Luke and Lisa the exquisite satisfactions of the dark way and to pry them from the Emperor's terrified clutch.
Darth Vader knew Luke and Lisa had seen it, too. The Emperor's fear.
They were clever children.
Darth Vader smiled grimly to himself.
They was their father's children.
The Emperor interrupted Vader's contemplation with a cackled remark to Luke and Lisa.
"As you can see, my young apprentices, the deflector shield is still in place."Darth Sidious announced. "Your friends have failed. And now..."
Darth Sidious' hand moved to a comlink that was on his throne.
"Witness the power of this fully armed and operational battle station."Darth Sidious declared and pressed the comlink on his throne. "Fire at will, Commander."
In shock, and in foreknowledge, Luke and Lisa looked out across the surface of the Death Star, to the space battle beyond and to the bulk of the Rebel fleet beyond that.
In Space…
Admiral Ackbar stood on the bridge in stunned disbelief, looking out the observation window at the place where, a moment before, the Rebel Star Cruiser Liberty had just been engaged in a furious long-range battle.
Now, there was nothing.
Only empty space, powdered with a fine dust that sparkled in the light of more distant explosions.
Admiral Ackbar stared in silence.
Around him, confusion was rampant. Flustered controllers were still trying to contact the Liberty, while fleet captains ran from screen to port, shouting, directing, misdirecting.
General Calrissian's voice came through the comlink of Admiral Ackbar.
"Home-one, this is Gold Leader!"Lando shouted. "That blast came from the Death Star! Repeat, the Death Star is operational!"
"We saw it."Admiral Ackbar answered wearily. "All craft prepare to retreat."
"I'm not going to give up and run!"Lando announced.
"We have no choice, General Calrissian."Admiral Ackbar informed. "Our cruisers can't repel firepower of that magnitude!"
"You won't get a second chance at this, Admiral."Lando reminded. "Han will have that shield down, we've got to give him more time. Head for those Star Destroyers."
Admiral Ackbar looked around him.
A huge charge of flak rumbled the ship, painting a brief, waxen light over the window. Calrissian was right: there would be no second chance.
It was now or it was the end.
The Admiral turned to his First Star Captain.
"Move the fleet forward."Admiral Ackbar ordered.
"Yes, sir."the First Star Captain answered. "But we don't stand much of a chance against those Star Destroyers. They out-gun us, and they're more heavily armoured."
"I know."Admiral Ackbar said softly.
The captain left as the aide approached.
"Forward ships have made contact with the Imperial fleet, sir."the aide reported.
"Concentrate your fire on their power generators."Admiral Ackbar instructed. "If we can knock out their shields, our fighters might stand a chance against them."
The ship was rocked by another explosion which was a laserbolt hit to one of the aft gyrostabilizers.
"Intensify auxiliary shields!"Someone yelled out.
The pitch of the battle augmented another notch.
Meanwhile…
On Endor, the battle continues with rebels and Ewoks fighting against the stormtroopers with the Jedi's aide.
Zack used the Force with his free hand to throw a stormtrooper into four other stormtroopers before slashing them down in quick speed.
Ferus slashed down a stormtrooper and another one by the neck to help Rex out.
"Does this bring you back memories, Rex?"Ferus asked smugly.
"More than you can begin to guess, General."Rex replied with a smile.
Nadia used her two lightsabers to jump above an AT-AT Walker before slashing it in half before landing on the ground with ease using the Force.
She may had one mechanical leg, but that didn't stop her from fighting physically.
Gwen, Leia and Han watched as Artoo worked on opening the entrance to the Shield Generator.
"How's it coming, Artoo?"Gwen asked.
Artoo let out a nervous beep as he struggled to do his work.
"Oh, Artoo, hurry!"Threepio exclaimed.
Suddenly, Artoo let out a scream as a blaster bolt knocked him away from the port and he started to short out, electrical bolts going all over his squat metal body.
Gwen used the Force to choke the stormtrooper, who hit Artoo before throwing him into a tree and get ambushed by three Ewoks on the ground.
"Oh, my goodness!"Threepio panicked as Artoo's plates came off and his manipulator pieces popped out. "Oh, Artoo, why did you have to be so brave?"
Han looked at Leia and Gwen.
"Well, I suppose I could hotwire this thing."Han stated.
Han opened the fuse box as the two girls stood near him.
"We'll cover you."Leia declared.
Leia knelt in front of Han and raising her blaster as Gwen held her lightsaber with both her hands at the upcoming foes.
In Space…
Ezra used the Ghost's frontal turbo-lasers to fire at the TIE fighters coming his way.
He felt so many fellow rebels becoming one with the Force, but knew like everyone else that their sacrifices can't be for nothing.
"Yes, I said closer."Lando demanded in an irritated tone. "Move as close as you can and engage those Star Destroyers at point-blank range!"
"At that close range, we won't last long against those Star Destroyers."Admiral Ackbar informed.
"We'll last longer than we will against that Death Star!"Lando protested. "And we might just take a few of them with us!"
Then a blast rocked the Millennium Falcon.
Inside the Death Star…
Beyond the window of the throne room, the Rebel fleet was being decimated in the soundless vacuum of space, while inside, the only sound was the Emperor's thready cackle.
Luke and Lisa continued their spiral into desperation as the Death Star laser beam incinerated ship after ship.
"Your fleet is lost and your friends on the Endor Moon will not survive..."Darth Sidious continued. "I feel your anger, take your weapon! Strike me down and your journey toward the Dark Side will be complete."
Luke and Lisa felt their anger rise inside them.
Their anger over took them, and they were barely in control.
The two siblings summoned their blades to slash the Emperor, but Darth Vader's crimson blade blocked their green and yellow lightsabers.
The Emperor cackled evilly as the Skywalker siblings engaged in a fierce battle with their father, all of them drawing on the dark.
The siblings with their combined talents were able to knock their father down the stairs where they had stood only moments before.
"Good. Use your aggressive feelings."Darth Sidious instructed. "Let the hate float through you."
"Obi-Wan and Ferus have taught you well."Darth Vader informed.
Luke and Lisa froze at Darth Sidious' reply.
It seemed with that, they snapped back into their senses.
Luke and Lisa deactivated their lightsabers as Darth Vader got up to his feet.
"We won't fight you, father."Luke stated.
Lisa nodded in agreement.
The two siblings backed away as the Sith Lord approached them.
"You are unwise to lower your defences!"Darth Vader snapped.
Darth Vader struck so quickly causing Luke and Lisa to activate their lightsabers, barely had time to block the attack.
Luke and Lisa both did a Force leap to the catwalk behind them.
"Your thoughts betray you, father."Lisa declared firmly. "I feel the good in you. The conflict."
Darth Vader hesitated.
Wasn't that what his darling angel thought, before he killed her?
But how could she have given birth...No.
That was Anakin Skywalker's problem.
Not his.
"There is no conflict."Darth Vader disagreed.
"You couldn't bring yourself to kill us before."Lisa stated as Luke and herself walked the length of the catwalk. "And I don't believe you'll destroy us now."
Through his mask, Darth Vader glared at Lisa.
She really was Padmé's daughter.
"You underestimate the power of the Dark Side."Darth Vader retorted. "If you will not fight, then you will meet your destiny."
The Dark Lord flung his still-activated lightsaber upward.
Luke and Lisa ducked the red blade, but was unable to stop it from cutting through the catwalk's supports, which tore from the ceiling and sent then tumbling to the floor below.
Darth Vader watched Luke and Lisa roll out of view under the Emperor's elevated platform.
Taking this opportunity, Luke and Lisa hid, hiding in the dark like they had done with their friends so many times as children in their own home planets.
Now the stakes were higher than doing chores as a farm boy or governing a whole planet as an elected monarch.
It was a game of life and death.
The Sith Lord's lightsaber had deactivated and landed on the floor several meters away from him.
Darth Vader extended his hand as the lightsaber flew up from the floor to return to his grip.
He activated the weapon's blade and walked down a flight of steps to the area below the platform to look for his children while Darth Sidious watched the sight with an evil smile.
"Good."Darth Sidious sneered. "Good."
In Space...
The two armadas blast at each other in the huge space above Endor.
A Star Destroyer exploded as the Rebel victor limps away, its back half alive with a series of minor explosions.
The Rebel cruiser manages to move in next to a second Star Destroyer before it exploded completely, taking the Imperial Star Destroyer with it.
The Millennium Falcon and several fighters attack one of the larger Imperial ships.
"Watch out."Lando warned. "Squad at 06."
"I'm on it, Gold Leader."Red Two informed.
"Good shot, Red Two."Wedge complemented.
"Now...come on, Han, old buddy."Lando encouraged. "Don't let me down."
In Endor...
Chewbacca amused an imperial pilot to take over his AT-AT Walker to take down the other walkers that were firing on the Ewoks.
Gwen and Leia kept guard at Han's back as he tried to hotwire the door open.
"I think I got it."Han said and his eyes widen. "I got it!"
Then another blast door slid shut over the door.
Gwen dodged the bolts coming her way as Leia screamed as a stray bolt hit her in the arm.
Nadia slashed down the stormtroopers that attempted to kill Leia as Ferus and Zack worked together to take out an AT-AT Walker.
"Oh, Princess Leia!"Threepio said anxiously as he, Gwen and Han came over. "Are you all right?"
"Let's see."Gwen commented.
Gwen moved the sleeve off Leia's arm to check the wound.
"It's not bad."Leia assured.
"Freeze!"
"Oh, dear."Threepio murmured.
Gwen, Han, Leia and Threepio turned to look at the stormtroopers, pointing blasters at them.
"Don't move!"A stormtrooper ordered.
Han looked down to see Leia press her blaster to her stomach.
"I love you."Han declared.
"I know," Leia said with a smile.
"Hands up!"the stormtrooper snapped. "Stand up!"
Leia opened fire on the two stormtroopers before Gwen slashed their heads off.
Han smiled and it quickly faded as an Imperial walker stopped in front of them, revealing Chewbacca when the hatch opened.
"Chewie! Get down here!"Han demanded. "She's wounded!"
Chewbacca got off the AT-AT Walker as an idea came to Han's mine.
"No wait!"Han instructed. "I got an idea!"
Han stood by one of his men as he made the communication to the soldiers inside the bunker.
"It's over. Commander. The rebels have been routed. They're fleeing into the woods."A disguised soldier informed. "We need reinforcements to continue the pursuit."
"Send three squads to help."An imperial officer replied.
A group of imperials opened the door and ran out.
As soon as they saw no one, they turned to see Han and Chewbacca pointing weapons at them with Rex and the rest of the strike squad.
Ferus, Nadia, Zack and Gwen had their lightsabers out while the cheering groups of Ewoks were on top of the bunker roof.
Han shrugged in his smuggler-playing-a-joke manner.
Han and the rest of the strike squad all ran into the bunker and were quick to subdue the guards.
"Quick, throw me another charge!"Han instructed.
"Yes, sir!"Warthog answered.
Han fastened it to the wall and set the timer like he did with the others as Zack helped him out.
At the Death Star...
Darth Vader walked underneath the platform that showed metal girders that offered numerous hiding places.
Luke and Lisa both hid in separately in the dark as they heard Darth Vader's mechanical breathing and the hum of his red lightsaber.
"You cannot hide forever, Luke and Lisa."Darth Vader reminded.
"We won't fight you!"Luke and Lisa called out together.
Their voices were echoing so they won't be found.
Darth Vader smirked and felt a little pride.
His children were so strong and determined.
The Sith Lord decided to take a different route to catch them from their hiding and firm spots in the dark area.
"Give in to the Dark Side."Darth Vader encouraged. "It is the only way you can save your friends."
Darth Vader suddenly aware that Luke and Lisa were now thinking of their friends, their concern for them almost palpable.
"Yes, your thoughts betray you. Your feelings for them are strong."Darth Vader stated. "Especially for..."
Luke and Lisa shut their eyes as Leia flashed through their minds.
Their sister couldn't be taken from them, not now. They only just found out about her.
However, this caused Darth Vader to discover the Princess of Alderaan.
"Sister! So…you have another sister!"Darth Vader sneered causing Luke and Lisa to become frightened at Leia being discovered. "Your feelings have now betrayed her too. Obi-Wan and Ferus were wise to hide her from me. Now their failure is complete. If you will not turn to the Dark Side...then perhaps she will!"
"NEVER!"Luke and Lisa yelled out in rage.
Luke drawing on the dark way to much now, filled with anxiety and fear for Leia.
Lisa followed after her brother, reluctantly activating her yellow lightsaber.
Together the two siblings held off their father, covering each other where were their weakest in combat.
The fight moved to a bridge over a hole to certain death and they were getting the upper hand, swingly blindly and ferociously.
The fighting stopped when Luke cut off Vader's right hand, shocking him as he looked at his own stump.
The Emperor descended from his throne, a triumphant smile on his face.
"Good!"Darth Sidious cackled evilly. "Your hate has made you powerful. Now kill your father and you can both take his place at my side."
Luke and Lisa stared at Darth Vader and then his missing mechanical hand.
Suddenly, they were reminded of Bespin.
This is not what neither of them wanted.
They wanted to destroy this thing of Darkness, this thing that devoured the man that was once their father.
Not get consumed by it as well.
Luke and Lisa both deactivated their lightsabers and threw them down.
"We will never join you, Your Highness."Luke remarked. "My sister and I will never turn to the Dark Side. We are Jedi, like our father before us."
"You've lost, Emperor."Lisa admitted proudly. "The children of Anakin Skywalker have become Jedi and we will never join you."
Darth Sidious glared at Luke and Lisa with a deadly look.
"So be it, Jedi."Darth Sidious snarled.
Back in Endor…
"Everyone, move!"Ferus shouted.
Han, Ferus, Zack, Rex and the rest of the Strike Squad ran from the bunker, just as it blew up.
They all jumped behind some ferns and vines as the explosion took the satellite with it.
Relief washed though Nadia, Leia and Gwen seeing their companions safe and sound.
Now they all have to wait for Luke and Lisa to get off the Death Star before the fleet destroyed it.
In Space…
"The shield is down!"Admiral Ackbar declared. "Commence attack on the Death Star's main reactor!"
"We're on our way."Lando replied.
Lando put the Millennium Falcon in the path of the Death Star, where the reactor was.
Inside the Death Star…
"If you will not be turned, you will be destroyed."Darth Sidious retorted.
The Emperor raised his hands toward Luke and Lisa before blinding white bolts of energy coruscated from his fingers, shot across the room like sorcerous lightning and hit the two siblings causing them to slam down on the ground.
Luke and Lisa whimpered in pain as Darth Vader crawled, like a wounded animal, to his Emperor's side.
"Young fools."Darth Sidious scowled. "Only now at the end, do you understand. Your puerile skills are no match for the power of the Dark Side. You have paid a price for your lack of vision."
Darth Sidious unleashed again the outpouring of bolts from his fingers actually increased in intensity as Luke and Lisa crying out for their father for help.
"Father, please!"Luke shouted. "Help us!"
"Please save us all!"Lisa cried out.
Darth Vader just stared at the two siblings as Darth Sidious paused for a moment to look at his victims.
"Now young Skywalkers, you will die."Darth Sidious announced in a soft but grim tone.
The Emperor unleashed another round of lightning causing Luke and Lisa to scream even more.
Their loud screams rattled through the room, the murderous brightness of the flashes was overwhelming.
Darth Vader watched Luke and Lisa curl in pain as the Emperor hurled an even more staggering wave of lightning at them.
The Sith Lord then quietly looked back at Darth Sidious, who was going to murder his children.
His son.
His daughter.
Padmé's children.
The children that loved him.
Luke and Lisa's clothes began to smoulder as their bodies involuntarily spasmed.
Suddenly, Vader realized that he was no longer concerned about his own personal future.
Despite all the terrible, unspeakable things he'd done in his life, he knew he could not stand by and allow the Emperor to kill his children.
And in that moment of awareness, he was Darth Vader no more.
He was Anakin Sky walker.
"No…"Anakin said slowly and then rushed toward the Emperor. "NOOOO!"
The former Sith Lord took all of his remaining strength to seize the Emperor from behind, lift him off his feet and carry him to the open elevator shaft.
The wretched Emperor continued to release lightning bolts, but they veered away from Luke and Lisa, but arced back to crash down upon him and his insurgent apprentice.
The lightning penetrated Vader's life-support suit and electrified Anakin's organic remains, but he lurched forward until he could throw the Emperor into the elevator shaft.
Darth Sidious screamed as his body plummeted down the shaft.
Still trapped within Darth Vader's armor, Anakin collapsed at the shaft's edge, but heard the explosion of dark energy that consumed the falling Emperor.
Luke and Lisa rushed to their father's side after gathering up their lightsabers.
Hearing his own breathing as a rasping rattle, Anakin knew that Vader's helmet's respiratory apparatus was broken.
He felt something tug at his shoulders and realised Luke and Lisa had crawled beside him and together were pulling him away from the edge of the abyss.
In Space….
The Millennium Falcon and the first wave of X-wings headed for the unfinished portion of the Death Star, skimming low over the curving surface of the completed side.
"Stay low until we get to the unfinished side."Wedge instructed, informing his squad.
"Squadron of enemy fighters coming."Lando warned. "Blue Wing, take your group and draw the TIE fighters away."
"I'll do what I can."A Blue Wing pilot answered. "I'm picking up interference, the Death Star's jamming us, I think-"
More fighters coming at ten o'clock."Another pilot added.
"There's the superstructure."Lando declared."Watch for the main reactor shaft."
Lando turned hard into the unfinished side, and began weaving dramatically among protruding girders, half-built towers, maze-like channels, temporary scaffolding, sporadic floodlights.
The antiaircraft defences weren't nearly as well developed here yet, they'd been depending completely on the deflector shield for protection.
Consequently the major sources of worry for the Rebels were the physical jeopardies of the structure itself and the Imperial TIE fighters on their tails.
"I see it! The power-channel system!"Wedge announced. "I'm going in!"
"I see it too."Lando agreed. "Here goes nothing. This isn't going to be easy."
Over a tower and under a bridge and suddenly they were flying at top speed inside a deep shaft that was barely wide enough for three fighters, wing to wing.
Moreover, it was pierced, along its entire twisting length, by myriad feeding shafts and tunnels, alternate forks, and dead-end caverns. In addition, with an alarming number of obstacles within the shaft itself were heavy machinery, structural elements, power cables, floating stairways, barrier half-walls and piled debris.
A score of Rebel fighters made the first turn-off into the power shaft followed by twice that number of TIEs.
Two X-wings lost it right away, careening into a derrick to avoid the first volley of laser fire.
The chase was on.
Back in the Death Star…
For the first time, the Death Star rocked.
The collision with the exploding destroyer was only the beginning, leading to various systems breakdowns which led to personnel panic, abandonment of posts, further malfunctions and general chaos.
All imperials and stormtroopers were preparing to evacuate to ships to save themselves while substantial rumblings came from all directions.
Despite their own injuries, Luke and Lisa managed to haul their father to the hangar that contained Darth Vader's shuttle.
The journey was made even more difficult by the fact that the Rebels had disabled the energy shield projector on the Sanctuary Moon, and the Death Star was now under heavy attack.
Trying to keep their own legs steady as the battle station was wracked by explosions, Luke and Lisa dragged their father to the shuttle's landing ramp before they collapsed from the effort.
"Luke and Lisa."Anakin spoke up, earning his children's attention. "Help me take this mask off."
A stunned look grew on Lisa's face at what their father wanted them to do.
Luke and Lisa knelt beside their father after carefully placing him down.
"But you'll die."Luke reminded.
"There must be another way."Lisa suggested.
"Nothing can stop that now."Anakin stated. "Just for once, let me look on you with my own eyes."
There was a bit of silence for a moment.
Luke and Lisa then helped each other to remove the mask and see the face of their father for the first time.
Anakin's face was revealed to have turned pale white and scaly and his head retains some vicious scars after 23 years from his duel with Obi-Wan.
It was a face full of meanings, that Luke and Lisa would forever recall.
Regret, they saw most plainly. And shame.
Memories could be seen flashing across it...memories of rich times.
And horrors. And love, too.
But it was also a face that found peace after so long.
"Now go, my children."Anakin insisted. "Leave me."
"No."Luke disagreed. "You're coming with us."
"We'll not leave you here."Lisa remarked with a weak smile. "We've got to save you."
Anakin smiled again.
"You and Luke already have, Lisa."Anakin assured. "You were right." Choking his last breaths, he said, "You were right about me. Tell Leia, your sister…you were right."
Closing his eyes as he slumped back against the shuttle ramp, Anakin Skywalker died and became one with the Force.
The prophecy has been fulfilled.
The Chosen One had destroyed the Sith and brought balance to the Force before his death.
There was a deadly silence as Luke and Lisa felt their father's passing.
Tears rolled down Lisa's cheeks as she cried into her brother's chest, mourning for the father they hardly knew.
Luke cried silently as well while comforting his sister.
A moment later, in a destabilized Imperial shuttle, Luke and Lisa escaped the main docking bay with their father's body, just as that section began to blow apart completely.
Their wobbling craft, too, headed for the green sanctuary in the near distance.
And finally, as if being spit out of the very flames of the conflagration, the Millennium Falcon shot toward Endor, only moments before the Death Star flared into brilliant oblivion like a fulminant supernova.
In Endor…
Han, Chewbacca, Ferus, Nadia, Zack, Gwen and the rest of the strike squad spotted the Death Star exploding above the blue sky.
The moment they saw that, all of them cheered along with the Ewoks cheered loudly.
The Rebel Alliance has defeated the Empire!
Rex removed his helmet in pride as Gregor, Wolffe, Boost and Warthog cheered as well.
Han notice Leia looking worried, knowing she was thinking about Luke and Lisa.
"Hey."Han spoke up. "I'll bet Luke and Lisa got off that thing before it blew."
Leia nodded. "They did. I can feel it."
Her brother and sister's living presence touched her, through the Force.
She reached out to answer the touch, to reassure Luke and Lisa she was all right.
Everything was all right.
Han looked at Leia with deep love, special love.
For she was a special woman.
A princess not by title, but by heart.
Her fortitude astounded him, yet she held herself so lightly.
And one thing he could see she wanted dearly, was Luke and Lisa.
"You really care for him, don't you?"Han questioned.
"Well, listen, I understand."Han stated with a sad frown. "When he gets back, I won't stand in your way..."
Leia squinted at him, suddenly aware they were crossing wires, having different conversations.
Then she realised what he was talking about.
"Oh, no. No."Leia laughed lightly, "It's not like that at all. Luke is my brother and Lisa is my sister."
Han was successively stunned, embarrassed and elated by Leia's declaration.
This made everything fine, just fine.
Han took Leia in his arms, embraced her, being extra careful of her wounded arm and shared a passionate kiss with her.
Ferus and Nadia notice Gwen looking calm but had a bright happy expression.
"Are you okay, sweetheart?"Ferus asked.
"I…I'm in love with Luke, mum and dad."Gwen admitted swiftly as her cheeks dusted pink. "I love him with every fibre of my being. He is the one that I want to spend the rest of my life with. Is that okay?"
Ferus was dumbstruck as Nadia gives their daughter a smile.
"We are proud of you and want you to be happy, Gwen."Nadia declared. "You have our blessings. Isn't that right, Ferus?"
"I guess you can say that."Ferus answered with a small chuckle.
Gwen let out an excited gasp at hearing her parents' approval of her relationship with Luke.
"Thank you!"Gwen giggled in joy. "Thank you! I love you both!"
Gwen smiled happily as she hugged Ferus and Nadia before going to join Zack and the others.
Ferus sighed in dismay as Nadia gave her husband a soft kiss on his cheek.
"Let her walk free, Ferus."Nadia said smugly. "She deserves it."
"She's not the only one."Ferus declared.
Nadia hugs Ferus, knowing he was talking about both Leia and Lisa.
An Ewok climbed up a tree and blew on his horn that echoed throughout the forest.
Later that Night…
After landing on the Sanctuary Moon, Luke and Lisa prepared a very private funeral in a forest clearing.
Night had fallen by the time Luke placed Anakin Sky walker's armor-clad body atop a pile of gathered wood.
"We burn his armour and with it the name of Darth Vader."Luke declared. "May the name of Anakin Skywalker be a light that guides the Jedi for generations to come."
Lisa held back her tears as Luke ignited the pyre and flames enveloped the corpse, smoke rose from the vents in the mask, almost like a black spirit, finally freed.
Luke and Lisa stared with a fierce sorrow at the conflagration.
Silently, saying their last goodbyes.
They, alone, had believed in the small speck of humanity remaining in their father.
That redemption rose, now, with these flames, into the night.
Luke and Lisa followed the blazing embers as they sailed to the sky.
They mixed, there, in their visions, with the fireworks the Rebel fighters were setting off in victory celebration.
Around the Galaxy…
Countless planets and areas including Bespin, Tatooine, Naboo, Utapau and Coruscant all celebrated the defeat of the Empire.
Back in Endor…
A huge bonfire blazed in the center of the Ewok village square for the celebration that night.
Rebels and Ewoks rejoiced in the warm firelight of the cool evening—singing, dancing and laughing, in the communal language of liberation.
For the Emperor was dead.
The central powerful evil that had been the cohesive force to the Empire was gone.
Peace and freedom has returned to the galaxy once more.
Threepio, his regal days in this village over, was content to sit near Artoo, who was his best friend in the universe.
Lando runs in and was enthusiastically hugged by Han and Chewbacca.
Ferus shook hands with Wedge and other rebel pilots before Zack and Gwen did the same with the old clones.
Nadia's eyes widen in amazement when she saw Ahsoka, Lux, Hal and Mabeline before going to hug them after so long.
Luke and Lisa then rejoined their allies for their victory celebration in the treetop village of the Ewoks.
They share a hug with Leia, Han, Chewbacca, Ferus, Nadia and Zack before going to their special partners.
Lisa hugs and shares a kiss with Ezra, feeling happy to be reunited with each other.
Luke and Gwen share a kiss as well while embracing each other and resting their foreheads against one another.
Han hugged Leia as the entire rebel alliance continued their big celebration.
Then Lisa backed away to watch from the sidelines at her surroundings.
She smiled a bit at seeing her loved ones and friends all enjoying themselves.
But then the young blonde haired woman's expression saddened when she remembered her father's death.
She, Luke, Leia and everyone else may have defeated the Empire, but her father was the true hero.
He has defeated the Emperor and saved the whole universe, but now he was gone.
The feeling of sadness inside Lisa's heart vanished, when she felt being watched.
Lisa turned around and saw two shimmering apparitions materialize in the darkness.
They were Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda and another ghost figure who suddenly appeared.
The third figure was a young man that was quite handsome with a scar on his left eye, brown hair, blue eyes and wore Jedi robes.
It was her father, Anakin Skywalker before he fell to the Dark Side.
Lisa smiled at the sight as she notice Luke and Leia walking over to her.
Anakin smiled at his children in pride as Obi-Wan placed a comforting hand on Yoda's shoulder.
Lisa held hands with Luke and Leia as they brought her back to join the others as the three ghost Jedi proudly looked on.
The Jedi had finally returned and the galaxy was now in peace.
But who knows what the challenges the future holds…
Next is the Epilogue...
