Luz looked at her. Right now, she didn't see her friend, she saw a stranger holding the very thing she needs to save her mentor.

"Give me, the book." Luz growled.

She was ready to release the arrow, the only thing that actually prevented her from doing so, was the fact that Amity was holding it, but if she even thinks about ripping so much as a page, then Luz would not hesitate to let go and let the arrow fly into her neck.

"I don't think so." Amity said, dropping the book and kicking it away, "By the order of Emperor Belos, and the Titan himself, you are to surrender yourself to the Coven, and be punished accordingly."

"How about you drop dead." Luz said, "I'm not giving myself over to that tyrant, not after all the pain he's caused."

"Then it would seem that I have no choice." Amity said, "If you won't give up peacefully, then I'll have to bring you in... by force."

Luz knew this wasn't Amity, not anymore. This woman was now just another pawn for Belos, just another lacky that falls for his cheap parlor tricks. This wasn't Amity, this was a Coven Guard... and Luz only made a promise to deal with them.

"Good luck with that." Luz said.

Luz let the string go, letting the arrow fly. Amity barely dodged it and watched as it got stuck in a tree behind her. Luz used the distraction to run at Amity, pulling out another arrow. She pulled back the arrow as she ran, but Amity managed to slide between Luz's legs, before she jumped up and kicked Luz in the back of the knee. Luz fell to a knee, which let Amity grab the back of her head and slam her face first into the ground. If it wasn't for Luz's mask, she would most likely have a broken nose.

"By the order of the Emperor's Coven, you are under arrest!" Amity said.

"Fuck you." Luz said.

Luz flipped around so she was on her back and put her hands on the ground, above her head. She kicked up, making sure to kick Amity away. Amity was knocked on her back and landed on her back. She looked and saw Luz, getting another arrow ready. Amity stood up and charged at Luz, using her magic and making Abomination goo. She launched it at Luz, and it hit her in the eyes. Luz dropped the arrow and Amity delivered a strong punch to Luz's stomach. Luz hunched over and Amity gave a kick to the side of her head. Amity grabbed Luz's suit collar, pulled her down, and delivered a knee to Luz's neck. Luz's breath hitched as Amity's knee collided with her throat. Amity threw a strong punch at Luz, which made Luz stumble back. Amity threw another punch, but this time, Luz caught it and managed to flip Amity over her shoulder. Luz straddled Amity and held her down. Luz raised her fist, going for a final blow, and looked at Amity. Luz lowered her fist... she couldn't do it. Even though this was a Coven Guard trying to bring her in, it was still Amity, the girl she danced with at Grom, the girl she became great friends with, the girl that she truly felt connected with. Amity noticed the hesitation and used it to punch Luz. Luz was knocked off her. Amity got up and grabbed Luz by the arm. She held her arm behind her back and tried to use her Abominations to secure Luz, but Luz, who didn't want to do it, elbowed Amity in the nose, making her stumble backwards. Luz ran to the book, knowing that it was the only thing that had the cure for Petrification. Amity noticed this and made a spell circle. Luz watched as the spell hit the book, burning it with a magenta flame. Luz watched as the only thing she had to save Eda was burned. She reached up and removed her hood and lowered her mask. She closed her eyes as tears started to fall. She reached up and grabbed another arrow. She was wrong, this wasn't Amity, this woman was a monster, and she was going to die. Luz turned around and pointed the drawn bow and arrow at Amity.

"L-L-Luz?"

Amity saw the anger on Luz's face, but she was more stunned by the fact that the girl she thought was dead for almost ten years was alive. Luz fired the arrow, which Amity was barely able to dodge. Amity was on the ground, breathing heavily, before she looked at Luz. Amity realized that she made a mistake. Luz fired another arrow, which made Amity use her magic to make an Abomination shield to block it. It was stopped but went through the shield enough for the arrowhead to be visible. Amity looked at it and realized that it was glowing. The Light Glyph arrow went off, temporarily blinding Amity and making her shield go away. When Amity's vision returned, she saw Luz in midair, with her knee just a foot away from Amity's nose. Luz connected and sent Amity to the ground. Amity landed on the ground with a thud. Luz got on top of Amity and tried to hit her. Amity blocked it by making another shield. Luz's fist hit the shield, giving Amity a minute to recover. Amity used the shield and hit Luz, getting her off. Amity managed to get up and put her shield up fast enough to block Luz's next punch, but she wasn't able to dodge Luz's kicks. Luz's strong kicks focused on Amity's legs, bringing her to her knees. Luz slammed her foot against Amity's face, knocking her to the ground. Amity reached up and felt her nose, pulling her hand back with blood on it. Amity looked at Luz, seeing that the girl she loved was beyond angry.

"Y-y-y-you're supposed to be dead." Amity said.

"Is that what that fucking Tyrant told you?" Luz asked.

Luz charged at Amity, but Amity was able to get out of the way. Amity was about to use her magic to get away, but Luz pulled out her hunting knife and stabbed her in the right shoulder. Amity screamed in pain as blood poured out of her wound. Luz pulled out an arrow and stabbed Amity's left side, making her scream more. Luz kicked Amity to the ground and pulled out another arrow. She pulled it back on her bow and pointed it at Amity. From this distance, there was no possible way to miss. Luz looked at the crying and bleeding woman in front of her.

"Not what you thought would happen when you run into an old friend, huh?" Luz asked.

Luz aimed and released the string, launching the arrow at Amity.
