The Awakening

This was something I had in mind for a while. And with the 10th anniversary that had just passed, I couldn't help reflect on the franchise's debut and its sequel. Playing it on the Vita was a surreal experience and made it very entrancing to the characters and the world of Gravity Rush. I don't see that much art or stories around, so I decided to make a novelization myself.

A groan went through as a young girl no later in her Mid Teenage years awoke from what felt like a very long slumber. She felt that same touch and found herself awake. With her bright red eyes halfway open, she noticed that she was laying on dirt.

Dirt...

Why is she here?

The Blonde turned on her back and noticed that it was hitting dawn. She was surrounded by buildings. It looked... Nice from the down here. The Girl had a sense of relaxation within her.

How did she get here?

Some of her muscles pulled as she tried to get up. She groaned again in pain as she relaxed her body. She looked down at herself and noticed she was wearing some dark clothing with golden curled decoratives were on her. What an odd choice of clothing... She looked below her shoulder and noticed a piece of blond hair was on her. Or at least... She was the one that had blonde hair...

A noise was heard by her side. She turned and looked over to it, only to find a stray cat had just sat there. Except this stray cat was any other ordinary cat. It had black substances for its figure and... Stars within its body? How is this possible? As far as she knows... Animals don't have this certain glow on them...

Wait...

How did she know?

What did she know about?

What about her?

Is there anything about herself that she should know? This isn't right... This is not all. She furrowed her eyes in thought to the back of her head to find at least something about her...

She couldn't.

The Blonde Girl is a nobody. She had no clue of her past existence... Everything had just felt... empty.

She felt empty...

The Girl had a lot of emotions going through her that she didn't realize that she had started breathing heavily.

Another soft meow was heard again by her side. She turned to find that cat had sat closer to her hip. It tilted its head to the side. For some reason... She felt as if she wanted to pet it on its head. So she did and the response she had was a purr. A small tug was pulled on her lips.

This was comfort... She had liked it.

She knew all things had to come to a halt as she drew a deep breath and steadily rose her feet. The Girl was wobbling and fell straight to her knees.

This was... Strange...

She sighed and slowly lifted herself with her arms for support this time. The Teen grasped a better look at her surroundings and noticed how sturdy everything had looked. She was still thinking about how she got here. She still thought about who she is... She was a nobody after all...

The Blonde needed answers... She had to find someone if there was at least anything about her and how she came about...

Just something will do...
