Important thing to note: The apartment that Eddie is in now is NOT the same apartment that he was in when he went AWOL in the episode "Blueprints". Peter mentioned him having a roommate in that same episode and from the look of where it was, and the fact that he was using the job he had as a lab assistant to pay for tuition, I'm assuming that he was living one of the university apartments.

Dakota City, Detroit, MI
6:45 AM
Virgil was on his way out of the house to go to school.
"Later sis! Pops!" Virgil said as he was about to walk out the door.
"Have a good one son! Call us when you get on the plane and when you land in New York! I'll be calling in occasionally to check on you!" His dad said.
7:05 AM
Dakota High School
"Yo V!" Richie said.
"What's up Richie?" Virgil responded. They gave each other fist bumps.
"Where's Daisy and Frieda?" Virgil asked.
"I don't know. Knowing them, they're probably waiting by the buses." Richie said.
"Did you bring-" Virgil started.
"My shock vox? Yep." Richie finished for him, showing him the vox. He already read his friend's mind.
"Good morning Dakota High School! May I have your attention please? At these time, we need all students that are going to the New York field trip to head to the buses please? Also, if you're not eligible for the field trip, please don't try to sneak in. You will be caught." The dean of students said on the intercom.
"That's our cue." Richie said. Both he and Virgil headed for the buses.
As expected, there were many students that were not eligible for the field trip that ignored the announcement, and still tried to slip in. They were all caught accordingly because their name needed to be on a list. A list that all teachers that were attending the field trip as well had on their own clipboards. And those that tried to claim they were someone else were caught too. Either because their face was too familiar, or because they had already crossed out the name on the clipboard. Something that each perpetrator didn't know had happened.
Frieda and Daisy showed up not far behind Virgil and Richie as they lined up to enter one of the buses.
Frieda and Daisy sat in the seat right in front of Virgil and Richie.
"For a second I thought you guys overslept or something." Virgil said.
"That sounds like something you'd do Virgil." Daisy joked in return.
After checking attendance a second time, they were off. It took them about 40 minutes to get to the airport. They all left the buses and boarded the plane. There wasn't much of an issue regarding space, since not everyone, or not nearly everyone from the school was attending the field trip. There was estimated to have been somewhere in the hundreds in regards to the number of students from Dakota High that was attending the field trip.
Virgil called his Dad when they made it to the plane, and again when they landed about an hour and a half later. Richie did the same with his parents, along with Frieda and Daisy.

Abandoned Subway, New York: Turtles' Lair
"It's done!" Donatello said, holding up his invention in triumph.
"What's done?" Leo asked his brother.
"The humanizer!" Donatello said. "Inspired by the invention of my dimensional counterpart, this handy invention allows you to take on the form of a human being, head to toe!" Donatello explained, referencing the invention created by his 2012 counterpart during their adventure in the Boiling Isles.
"May I have a volunteer please?" Donnie asked.
"Pick me! Pick me!" Mikey said, raising his hand.
"Michelangelo, if you please." Donnie said, calling his brother up.
Donatello picks up the device. It had a green screen with a dial and two buttons under it.
"First, it scans your DNA. If it detects non-human DNA, then it gives me the okay to proceed with the transformation. You can turn the dial to however much time you need or want to stay human, up to 24 hours." Donatello says, before turning the dial to 23 minutes after it scans Michelangelo for human DNA. He then hits him with the device, as a laser of green energy travels towards him.
Michelangelo looks at himself as the laser connects. "Donnie, I think you're invention's broken. I don't feel any-" He starts before looking at his arms. They were no longer green! Instead they were white! He had… hair! He still had on his orange eye mask. Thankfully, it seemed he programmed it to supply him with clothes as well.
"Of course, if you need to change back earlier, there's the second button here to change you back." Donatello said before zapping him yet again, changing him back to his normal turtle self.
"I thought about having an option for an indefinite change but I decided against it. If something were to happen to this, there'd be no way to change back." Donatello said.
"Don't get me wrong Donnie, this seems like a great invention and all, but what exactly is this for?" Leo said. He knows his genius brother to know that he doesn't take time to invent something without it serving some sort of purpose. Even if it's for a specific mission or enemy.
"I'm glad you asked. I created it to allow myself to blend in with the locals for the conference in ESU." He explained.
"I see." Leo responded. He rubbed his chin, thinking. "I think it's best that we all come with you Donnie."
"Is something wrong?" Donnie asked.
"No. But I just have this sneaking suspicion that there will be soon." Leo said.
Empire State University
10:20 AM
More and more students started to make their way to the University.
As they did, Dr. Connors passed by Dr. Warren.
"Dr. Warren." Dr. Connors said, greeting him.
"Dr. Connors. It's good to see you back in New York again." Dr. Warren said. They shook hands and looked each other in the eyes. They knew the relationship they had was NOT a friendly one at all. And they weren't going to lie to each other and pretend like it was. But if there was one thing they agreed on with their eye contact, it was that they were going to be professional for this conference.
Peter was with Gwen and Harry, making their way towards the University.
"It still feels like yesterday that we were working here. Crazy how fast time flies." Peter said to Gwen.
"Yeah I'll bet bro." An all too familiar voice said from the side of them. Eddie brock. He gives Gwen a hug, while giving Peter and Harry fist bumps.
"Eddie? What're you doing here?" Peter asked him.
"To see Dr. Connors of course." Eddie said.
"I'm guessing everything's working out with finding a job?" Peter asked him.
"Yeah. May not be what I wanted, but hey, it still pays." Eddie said, leaving it at that. What he didn't tell them was that the landlord had put out several warnings for him to pay his rent for his apartment. He was past due several times. He knew that she was nice, but at some point, enough was enough. He went to talk to her personally to try to negotiate. She told him that if he didn't pay off the money he owed within one month from yesterday, he was going to be evicted.
They continue to make small talk, catching Eddie up on what's been happening since he's been in the hospital until they found Dr. Connors.
"Dr. Connors. It's good to see you again!" Eddie said, shaking hands with him.
"Likewise. To all of you." Dr. Connors responded, shaking hands with all of them. He turns to Peter, Gwen, and Harry.
"I can see that you three are still making the grade." He said, smiling.
"Yes sir." Peter responded to the doctor.
"Well you keep this up, you'll be the ones in this University in these conferences." Dr. Connors said to them.
"Dr. Connors!" Donatello said, transformed by 'the humanizer.' He was wearing jeans and a plaid shirt with black hair.
"It's great to finally meet you. I've heard so much about your work." He said.
Peter recognized the voice. But it couldn't be. These were just people.
"Looks like you still have some fans Dr. Connors." Eddie said.
Dr. Connors shake hands with Donatello.
"My name is Donatello." He said.
"That's them all right." Peter thought. The name pretty much confirmed that it was the turtles. But it appears that they found some way to disguise themselves in the public as humans.
"I'm honored to meet you Donatello." Dr. Connors said.
"Words can't contain my brother's excitement right now." Leonardo said before introducing himself and his other two brothers.
"It's nice to meet you all." Dr. Connors said, shaking hands with all of them.
"I just have a few questions for you if you don't mind." Donatello said.
"I'll still be around the University. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask." Dr. Connors said to Peter and the others before addressing Donatello and his questions.
"Fire away Donatello." Dr. Connors said.
"So, first question if you don't mind me asking this. But what exactly made you want to stop working on your work to regrow human tissue?" Donatello asked.
"Well Donatello, as much as I knew something like that would change the world, I also knew that it was just too dangerous to continue." Dr. Connors started. "There were…" He paused as he saw Dr. Warren talking to an African American teenage boy with dreadlocks, along with a group of other students that were behind him. He looked back at Donatello. "Some results that I found during my research. And these results gave me enough of a reason to completely shut down the project." Dr. Connors explained. And it was true. When he took the vial to repair his arm, it was then that he became the Lizard.
"I'm just lucky that I came out okay in the end." Dr. Connors said and left it at that.
"I'm sort of an inventor myself. I thought that maybe you had shut it down because of a simple harmless mistake or error. I would have asked to take a look at some of the progress and work you made. But I guess there's no point now." Donatello said.
"Son, if I could make things different, I would." Dr. Connors said. "Tell you what, how about I show you the work that we did with another experiment?"
"Sure!" Donatello said.
"Thank you so much for your time, Dr. Warren." Virgil said to Dr. Warren.
"Likewise. It was a pleasure talking to you Mr. Hawkins." Dr. Warren replied, shaking hands with Virgil. "I was picking your brain as much as you were picking mine. Something tells me you have a very bright future ahead of you young man. Keep it up."
Virgil, Richie, Daisy, and Frieda see Dr. Connors walking with the four that were talking to him earlier.
"Aw man, he's gettin' away!" Virgil said before following him, with his three fellow Dakota High students following him.
"Wow, you're-" Harry started as he saw Dr. Mizuki.
"A Hibagon. Yes. Do not be alarmed my friend. My name is Professor Mizuki." Professor Mizuki said.
"That actually wasn't my first thought. What's a Hibagon?" Harry responded.
"A creature that is said to live on Mount Hiba in Japan. My mind was switched with that of a Hibagon's. But, the device that was created to perform this transfer was destroyed. Now, I can never hope to change back." Professor Mizuki explained.
"I'm, sorry to hear to hear that Professor." Harry said.
"Do not be sorry my friend. My mind is still intact, yes? It is the inside. Here and here that matters the most. No matter what body I am in, I myself know that I am not a monster." Prof. Mizuki said, pointing to his heart and his mind. "It is something that I had to learn." He notices a familiar family out the side of his eye with orange and black outfits.
"Ah! The Saturdays! It is good to see you all!" He said.
"Professor Hibagon." Doc said.
"I would like you three to meet my friends and fellow scientists, the Saturdays." Mizuki said.
"I trust the Professor isn't giving you three a hard time?" Doc joked.
"He may not be one for jokes, but he's very nice if you get to know him." Drew said.
"So, you created technology that allowed you to swap minds. Imagine what that could do for people who are facing life-threatening conditions or are born with certain conditions." Peter said.
"Precisely why I made it. Unfortunately, the person that asked me to create it was planning to use it for his own personal gain and criminal activities. I tried to stop him by switching my mind to the body of a Hibagon, but the machine, and my old body was caught in the crossfire." He explained.
"This… is the cost of creating things to change the world. While you may see what you create as a source of good, know that there is at least one person in the world that sees it as a source for personal gain." Prof. Mizuki said referring to his body.
"Yeah. Witnessed that firsthand." Peter thought.
As Hibagon was answering a question from Harry, Zak went up to his parents and asked if he could look around, to which they gave the OK, adding the caveat that he needs to stay out of trouble, asking Wadi if she could come along with him to make sure he does just that.
"Wadi, doesn't something seem… I don't know… familiar about him?" Zak said, referring to Peter who was listening to the response of a question that was asked by Gwen as they were looking around the university.
"No, it doesn't." Wadi said matter-of-factly.
"I'm telling you Wadi, I feel like we've met him before." Zak said.
In another part of the University, along with Martha, Curt showed them some of the biology work that was done around the University. Virgil had caught up with them and was already informed by Donatello about the status of the serum.
"And there you have it. I know it's not exactly what you all wanted to see but…" Dr. Connors said.
"It's fine. I'm still thankful for the opportunity Dr. Connors." Virgil said.
"Same here." Donatello agreed.
"We all are." Leonardo said.
"It's not a problem at all." Martha said.
"Martha and I are very grateful that you all would lend your ears." Dr. Connors said.
Off in the distance, Dr. Miranda Grey was explaining quantum physics to a group of students, invention in hand to supplement her explanation. After thanking both of them again, Virgil and the others gravitated towards her.
"This is capable of hardening the surface of anything it touches. The longer the beam is on the surface the harder it becomes." Dr. Miranda explained as she hit a kick ball as an example. She trained the beam on it for about 5 seconds before stopping. She picked it up to show the results and allowed the students to do so as well to feel the results for themselves.
"Of course, not everyone can be Dr. Pym, but progress is being made in this field. Performing something like this with such a small device was something that was unthinkable years ago." Dr. Miranda said.
Suddenly a loud noise was heard along with a voice. It got the attention of everyone in the vicinity of the commotion.
"Trouble." Leonardo said.
Virgil, Richie, Daisy, the turtles, Peter, Gwen, Harry and Eddie all ran to the source. They were welcomed with several people running, one of them almost knocking down Peter in the frenzy. When Virgil and the others saw what was happening in the distance, Virgil and Richie already knew what to do. Richie lead Daisy and Frieda outside, while Virgil ran as well, seemingly getting "lost in the crowd." Eddie did the same with Gwen and Harry, leading them out with Peter also seemingly getting "lost in the crowd" as well.
"I told you I can't do that." Dr. Warren said, afraid. He was being picked up in the air by what seemed to be a mutant turtle! But it wasn't the teenage kind. It was none other than the leader of the notorious street gang, the Purple Dragons. When he was picked up, he dropped the weapon that he always carried with him in case something like this happened. Usually when one of his clients, or potential ones ever became unhappy enough to try and take their frustration out on him. Like what happened with Kraven. Which was why he was so afraid now. Add in the fact that he was surrounded by Purple Dragons as well, all armed with some type of weapon. Whether it be bats, pipes, or rifles, some of them courtesy of(as in stolen) from the EPF. Being armed was enough to discourage anyone who tried to play the hero and step in and help. Campus police was already informed and had called for support.
"You're lying!" Hun said, about to punch him.
"I-I'm not I swear! But I can get you the person who can!" Dr. Warren said.
"Tell me! Who?" Hun said, threatening him, shaking him as he does so. Warren points to Dr. Connors. Hun looked around to where he was pointing as it was behind him. There was no one there as Dr. Connors was already running.
Hun looked back at Dr. Warren with an angry look, believing that he was tricking him again.
"His name is Dr. Connors! He's the one you're probably looking-" Dr. Warren said before being interrupted.
"Hey shell-for-brains!" Raphael said.
"You're giving turtles like us a bad name." Michelangelo said.
"You don't look like them, but I can smell you. Freaks." Hun said.
"How can you smell when you don't even have a nose?" Michelangelo asked.
Hun responded with a charge. All four turtles got out of the way to dodge him. He instead hits an exhibit of turtles.
"We've got to lead him out of here or this entire University's going to be toast!" Leonardo said.
"Is New York a mutant convention or something?" Zak said, with his family again.
"I don't have time for this!" Hun said, a gang of Purple Dragons now with him.
"Take care of them!" Hun ordered as he ran to go after his true objective.
As ordered they went into battle against the Saturdays and the Turtles.
"So, the turtle thing is some sort of disguise?" Zak asked as he kicked a Purple Dragon thug who was wielding a bat in the stomach.
"More like the other way around." Donatello said.
Hun was still on the move but was blocked by a teenager floating on a disc.
"I have a feeling that whatever you're eating, it's way more than just turtle pellets." Static said.
"Out of my way." Hun said.
"You forgot to say the magic words." A familiar red and blue web-slinger said, joining him.
Hun knew that he wasn't going to be able to tread any further without a fight.
Meanwhile, Eddie had ran into both Curt and Martha Connors.
"Dr. Connors! This way!" Eddie said, beckoning them to follow. As they made their way out of the University, Eddie ran headfirst into a Purple Dragon member.
"You got some nerve bumping into me like that. Aren't you gonna apologize?" The gang member said, bat in hand. He had a frame very similar to Eddie's with a blonde spiky mohawk.
"Sorry, but I don't apologize to people like you." Eddie said.
"So we got a smart mouth huh?" He said before attempting to strike him with the bat. Eddie responds by grabbing the bat to interrupt the strike, before completely disarming him and punching him. The gang member attempts to punch him back but Eddie dodges them all and hitting back, knocking him out.
"You got a pretty face. How about you ditch this loser and come with me?" Another Purple Dragon member said to Gwen not far from where Eddie was. He was slimmer than the one Eddie had knocked out, but he wasn't a pushover.
"Hey back off!" Harry said before pushing him. The Purple Dragon member responded by punching him the gut so hard Harry collapsed on the ground, coughing.
"Harry!" Gwen said.
"Now, as I was saying-" The member continued before moving away a strand of her hair.
Gwen pushed him away. "Get away from me!"
"I think you better do what she says." Eddie told him.
He turned around to see who was talking and faced him.
"Says who?"
"Says me!" Eddie said before knocking him square in the jaw. When one of them saw what was going on they came up and hit him with the butt of their rifle, knocking him down. More members had started to join in to kick him while he was down. The only thing that made them stop was when one of them had signaled that they had found Dr. Connors through an earpiece. A courtesy of Hun and his temporary time with Baxter Stockman.
"This is what happens when you mess with the Purple Dragons! Remember that." One of them said before walking away.
"Eddie! Are you alright?" Gwen asked him, getting on one knee to check on him.
"Yeah. Nothing broken. I'll live." He said before getting up.
"I'm fine. Thanks for asking." Harry said in an envious tone, now standing.
"Harry, you know I wasn't doing that on purpose." Gwen said, going over to him.
"Yeah." Harry said, frowining.
Martha had ran to the three. "Curt! They took him!"
"Where'd they go?" Eddie asked her.
Back inside the university, Static and Spider-Man faced off against the hulking mutant turtle Hun. While he tried to catch them, their speed proved to be too much for him to handle. He even resorted to throwing anything he possibly could, also resulting in failure. Looking to take care of him quickly before the whole university collapsed, Static used the metal railing that Hun threw earlier and, using his static electricity manipulated in a way that would wrap him up. While he continued reinforcing it with static electricity as he was up against a wall. Spider-Man took the opportunity to web him up as well.
Static and Spidey looked to observe their work.
"Well, that takes care of that." Static said.
He turns towards the web slinger to introduce himself.
"Static." He said extending a hand.
"Spider-Man." They both shook.
"Don't think I've seen you around New York before."
"On a bit of a vacation from Dakota in Detroit."
"Well, I welcome the help. Good to have one person here that doesn't hate me or won't try to kill me."
"You got a lot more friends out there than you think. Take it from the guy who teamed up with Batman and Robin."
"Wait, you teamed up with Batman and Robin? How was it?"
"Just as brooding and stoic as he always is." Static said, trying to make the face that he always makes.
Spidey laughed. "Sounds about right."
"Will you two just shut up?" Hun said before someone was talking into his ear about Dr. Connors, which led him to grin, showing all of his teeth.
"I don't like that look." Static said, worried.
The Saturdays and the turtles arrived to support them against Hun. Until they realized he was already defeated.
"We missed all the action!" Raph said, back as a turtle along with his four brothers. With everything that was happening, and with almost everyone clearing out, there wasn't much of a need for disguises for them anymore.
Spidey then heard someone laughing.
"We let you get off last time with a warning. You should have skipped town when you had the chance." A purple dragon member said.
Raph and everyone else turned towards the talking.
"Purple Dragons." Raph said with disgust.
"Come on! Someone's in trouble!" Leo said.
The person in question was Eddie. He was down and pretty much defeated, but he wasn't going to let them know that.
"Show him what happens when you try to play hero." Another member said to the first member that was talking.
The first member grins a sadistic smile before hitting him in the leg, causing him tremendous pain.
"That looks like it hurt." Another member said, spectating.
"You wish." Eddie said. He saw something out of the corner of his eye. Spider-Man! He was swinging to him.
"Oh yeah? Well let's see how much this hurts tough guy." The first member said, now being handed a gun. But not an EPF gun. A real one.
"He's not gonna make it!" Static said.
Spidey attempts to shoot a web.
"EDDIE!" He screamed.
Thankfully, the bullet was stopped just short of his chest by Static. The purple dragon member turned and tried to shoot Static but with a now serious look on his face he grabbed the gun and threw it out of reach from all of the members. Static and the others made quick work out of all the members. Leo slicing all of the EPF weapons, the Saturdays making the members look pedestrian with their superior fighting experience, and Spider-Man knocking out any purple dragon member he could reach with his fists.
"Can you stand?" Spidey asked.
"Yeah. Thanks. You saved my life." Eddie said, getting on his feet.
"He's the one you should be thanking. I wasn't fast enough." Spider-Man said, referring to Static, disappointed with himself.
"It's nothing. I already lost my mom to guns and gang violence. I wasn't going to let someone else die from it when I could have done something." Static said.
"You did everything you could. There was nothing more you could have done. The important things is we stopped Hun." Leo said to Spider-man. Suddenly, a purple dragon member, the same one that hit Eddie with the bat and attempted to shoot him was laughing.
"You really think 'cus you stopped the boss that he still didn't get what he wanted? Man, you guys are all sorts of stupid."
"He's right. They took Dr. Connors. I tried to stop them. And you see how that ended. I don't know what they want him for but…"
"Yeah. Next time, tell your friend to leave the heroics to the freaks with the powers." The member taunted. Suddenly, Spider-Man pulled him with a web and punched him. He then pulled him again, and ran him into a wall.
"Where are they taking Dr. Connors!? What do you want with him!?" Spider-Man yelled.
Doc and Drew looked at one another in concern.
"Heh heh heh. You ain't gonna do anything. I don't have to tell you nothin. 'You're too 'pure of heart' to ever actually hurt me." He laughed before getting punched in the face.
Afterwards, Spidey grabs him by his shirt and pulls him closer to his face.
"Is that proof enough for you? Now tell me where they're taking him!" He said.
"Heh. Is that all you got web boy? Your friend over there hit harder than that. And he was a wimp with no powers."
Spidey punches him again, this time repeatedly.
Static, the Saturdays and the turtles were all on the verge of stepping in before he stopped.
"Now I'm going to ask you one last time. WHERE. IS. DR. CONNORS!?" Spider-Man said, clear rage in his voice.
"You want Dr. Connors? I got your answer right here." He says, bruised face and all before spitting on his mask.
"Wrong answer." Spider-Man said in a dark tone before pulling his fist back.
Doc and Raph restrained both of his arms. "That's enough!" Doc said.
"Let… go of me!" Spider-Man said, trying to get out.
"Yeah, that's right. Run behind your friends. Do as your told web boy." He taunted.
"You know, I think I've had just about enough of you." Static said as Raph had to stop Spider-Man from getting to him again.
He said, shocking him, with one finger to knock him unconscious.
"Static electricity. Not enough to kill you, but it sure as heck not fun to get zapped with. Enough in that blast to knock him out for about 30 minutes." He said.
"He didn't know anything." Another member said, who was on the ground. "The boss never gave us the details, just in case something like this happened and we wouldn't tell." He admitted.
"He's telling the truth." Leo said, looking at him.
"How can you tell?" Spidey asked.
"I can see it in his eyes. He's not lying." Leo explained.
"Great. So we don't even know where to look. Now what?" Zak said before a wall was suddenly punched.
"This is all my fault! I should have been focused! If I was, Dr. Connors would still be here right now." Spider-Man said. He being the source of the wall punch.
"Hey, take it easy. We'll find him alright?" Static said.
"I hate to be that guy, but I'm going to be that guy. How exactly do we expect to that if none of them even know where he was taken to?" Doyle asked.
"Simple. We ask the one person who knows for sure." Donnie said.
"Hun." Leo said. The large group of heroes
"He's gone!" Mikey said.
"Great. Our only option is to search all possible Purple Dragon hideouts." Donnie said.
"But that could take days. It'll be too late by then." Leo said.
"Yeah. But we don't have that many options." Raph said.
"Can't you guys like come up with something in a lab to find him?" Doyle asked.
"Despite what movies and TV show, we can't just magically think of something that will automatically fix the problem." Donnie said, a little appalled that he would believe that ideas are just free flowing.
"Actually, I have something an idea that could possibly work. It may be the only way to find him." Dr. Martha Connors said.
Spidey notices Eddie reuniting with Gwen and Harry.
"Have you seen Peter? We've been looking everywhere." Gwen asked.
Spider-Man knew it was time to depart but he knew he needed to be kept updated.
Static looked like he was on the verge of leaving as well. "V. You gotta come back man. They're looking for you." Richie said, whispering into his shock-vox so Daisy and Frieda wouldn't hear him.
"On my way Richie." Static said low.
"Sorry guys, but I've got to go. You don't happen to have another way for us to communicate do you? These only come in pairs." He said, referring to the shock-voxes.
Donnie takes something out. "The shell phone. We'll let you know if there's any updates." He said, tossing the phone to him.
"Thanks." He said and departed.
"You don't happen to have a second one, do you?" Spidey asked.
Finding his backpack, Virgil was able to change back into his original attire. He was going to come up with something until his phone rang. It was his dad.
"Hello?" Virgil said.
"Son! Thank goodness you're okay. I saw the news." His dad said. As he did, another teenager with a blue shirt and a gray long-sleeved undershirt had came out of the building right after he did, passing him by.
"Peter! Thank goodness you're alright." Gwen said, hugging him.
"Yeah. Thanks to Spider-Man and his amazing friends." Peter said.
"Yeah. Whole thing was crazy." Virgil said, looking at the group of four as he talked. He thought he saw one of them give the two an envious look when she said Spider-Man.
"The most important thing now is that you're alright. Where are you now?" He asked.
"I'm outside the University. Police are arriving on the scene now."
"Alright. Stay safe you hear?"
"I will pops."
"Goodbye son."
"Later pops." He hung up.
"Virgil Hawkins! Where in the heck were you!?" Daisy said, the first to walk up to him and confront him, more out of worry than anything else.
"I was-" Virgil was interrupted by a hug from her.
"You probably were in there trying to help. Don't ever do something like that again." Daisy said.
Back in the University, Dr. Martha Connors explained the lizard situation with Dr. Connors.
"Curt was working on a way to regrow his arm. But he was using reptilian DNA to do it. He got his arm back. But that DNA had turned him into a lizard mutant. This was something we wanted to keep secret. He's a good man. He'd never use his work to hurt other people. But I have a feeling they want him for his work. Just in case something were to happen to him for him to mutate again, Curt and I were working on a way to track traces of mutated DNA. We didn't have much luck. In fact, we essentially dropped it. Seeing he was fine for so long, we didn't think he would need it. We don't have the plans anymore unfortunately. But, I think you all will have more luck than we did." Martha explained.
"We'll do the best we can Dr. Connors." Donatello said.
"Thank you." She said.
The press and the police were starting to cover more ground.
"Looks like that's our cue to depart." Donnie said.
"Agreed." Doc said.
"Here, take my shell cell. We can come up with an appropriate place to collaborate. But the most important thing we'll need is DNA. The humanizer stores mutated DNA temporarily. But for this to work, we need to track someone that's mutated. And that person would be Hun. We would need a sample from something he touched." Donnie said.
"The railing. We could use that." Leo said.
"Perfect!" Donnie said before using his ninja skills to stealthily scan the object before the police or media noticed him.
"Got it!" He said, rejoining his brothers.
"Let's get out of here!" Leo said.
About a minute later, the media and the police came towards anyone that was inside the building, one of them being Dr. Martha Connors, and asked her questions about what happened.
Purple Dragon Hideout
"When is this going to be finished?" Hun said, a little impatient. He had gone out of his way to get the Purple Dragon to get him whatever the Doctor needed, but he still hadn't delivered the goods.
"Something like this takes time. Not a single mistake or miscalculation can be made. You wouldn't want to be like that forever, would you?" Dr. Connors asked.
Hun growled before restraining himself. "Just hurry up and finish." He said, folding his arms. Eventually, he would try his hand at playing a game, but, like before, it failed as his hands were too big to press any buttons without pressing another. 2 of his previous controllers he broke. This one was on the verge of suffering the same fate, but this time it would have been from him throwing it out of frustration of not being able to play.
1 hour, 30 minutes later
"It's done." Dr. Connors said, waking a sleeping Hun, who had fell asleep at the desk he was sitting at, trying to play a game.
Hun takes the vial, being careful to not drop or break it. He drinks the liquid. After a few seconds there was still no effect.
"Why isn't this working?" Hun asked him.
"This is a first-time solution. This version of the gene cleanser may not be as effective as quickly as the others." The scientist said.
And a couple of seconds later, there it was. He was changing back. His skin was changing back to his normal skin color. His size was decreasing. He was finally back to normal!
Hun looked at his hands.
"It worked! It worked!" Hun said, laughing.
After changing into normal fitting clothes, which was his original black purple dragon outfit. He started to play games again.
"I've done what you asked. Now are you going to let me go?" Dr. Connors asked.
"And why in the world would I do that?" Hun asked, still playing.
"Because, Spider-Man and his allies will be after you. I'm sure they know I'm gone. Eventually, they will find you." He said.
"If I know those freaks, they're going to come after me regardless. What happens with you is irrelevant." Hun said.
"Take him outside. He can go, but I want to make sure he sure he can't tip us off." Hun said. The two men nodded standing guard did as they were told, knowing exactly what that meant.
They took him to a place where he wouldn't be able to identify where they were. They pushed him out of the car and sped off.
Eddie suddenly walked out of a restaurant, ready to go back home. He heard someone making a noise. It was Dr. Connors! Mouth covered and blindfolded on the side of the restaurant near the dumpster where trash is thrown out.
"Dr. Connors! Are you alright?" He said, removing the tape and blindfold.
"Yes. Thank you, Eddie." Dr. Connors said.
He called Peter and Gwen and told them the news before bringing him to the hotel he and his wife were staying in, who was incredibly grateful for helping him get back to the hotel.
Peter told the turtles, the Saturdays and Virgil the news, and while it was great to get him back, they still knew they would need to take care of Hun.
Daily Bugle
"What!? So you're telling me that he wasn't involved with the kidnapping of Dr. Connors?" Jameson said, looking at the pictures of him fighting and Static fighting Hun.
"I'm sure of it. How could he take him if he was fighting?" Peter asked.
"Simple! He paid someone to take him! He and the Purple Dragons are working together, I know it! That fight was just a bunch of smoke and mirrors! Working with gangs has to be a new low for him! And he's dragging more of his costumed friends into it too from other states!" Jonah said, noting that the hero on the disc was Static from Dakota, Michigan after doing research.
"But sir, Eddie found him." Peter said.
"Oh he did, did he?" JJ said.
"I should bring him in for an interview. He probably threatened Spider-Man and he folded from the pressure." JJ said.
"Or better yet, I should hire him back! You tell Eddie that J. Jonah Jameson said that he's welcome back here anytime!" He said.
"Forget the gangs! You just gave me the headline of the day! Good job Parker! But keep up this streak of naivety towards Spider-Man and he might replace you!"
"Now, out of my office! And while you're at it, see if you can get that interview with Eddie. Heck, even an interview with that Dakota kid would work! He seems like a good kid. We'll get him to see the truth about Spider-Man!" He said.
7 Hours Later
10:00 PM
Turtles' Lair
The turtles, the Saturdays, Virgil, and Spider-Man were all gathered up in one room. Because Virgil and the rest of Dakota High would be staying the night before travelling back, Virgil could stay and help the crew of heroes take down Hun before they departed in the morning.
"Now that we don't have to worry about Dr. Connors, taking out Hun should be a piece of cake." Donatello said.
"I don't expect this to be easy though. Hun may not be the brightest, but he isn't stupid." Leo said.
"Which is where we come in as the x-factor. He'll be expecting you. He won't be expecting us." Drew said.
"Count me in on this too. I'm not gonna miss a chance to bring Hun to justice for anything." Casey said.
"Just be careful Casey." April said.
"I will." He said, putting on his golf bag.
"Alright, so here's the plan…" Leo said.
A/N: And there's the fourth chapter! This one took a lot longer than I thought it would. This was going to be a shorter chapter with about half the words here, but after coming up with more ideas, it all came to this. The next chapter is coming soon!
