Purple Dragon Hideout
On a beautiful and well-lit night in New York, several Purple Dragon members were patrolling. Although that term could be used loosely. Many were doing other things playing card games, eating, or even just outright sleeping.
Four figures silently traversed the hideout, one of them noting one of the members that was sleeping. "That guy took sleeping on the job way to literal." Mikey commented in a low voice.
They kept moving, taking out any and all members, no matter the threat or what they were doing. Eventually, they got inside but was met with dead silence. Which was an oddity for the Purple Dragons. There was always something happening in their hideouts, no matter where it was.
Using his infrared goggles, Donnie was able to detect lasers. A whole lot of them.
"Exactly as I thought. Lasers." Donnie said.
"Lasers? Since when did Hun get technical?" Raphael commented.
"Since Baxter Stockman." Donnie responded.
"There's the switch!" Donnie said, locating the switch to turn off the lasers. The only problem was that it was at the other side of the room.
Leonardo throws a shuriken and perfectly hits the switch.
"The lasers are disabled. We can move." Donnie said.
Outside of the lair, Casey was waiting with Doc, Drew, Doyle, Fisk and Zon.
"You don't get tired of waiting sometimes?" Doyle asked, trying to make conversation while they wait.
"Waiting is the hardest part in these types of plans with the guys. But the butt-kicking I get to do afterwards is totally worth it." Casey said.
The Turtles continued to traverse the hideout, searching for Hun. Meanwhile, Static and Virgil were on their own mission.
"Keep going straight and then make a left." April instructed, talking to them via headsets. She was back at the lair looking at a 3d model of the hideout.
They did as instructed. "Alright, we're here." Static said. They were in a room that was full of stolen EPF, Triceraton and Federation weapons. But that wasn't what they were in the room for.
"Good, now just wait for the signal." April said.
They eventually reached the room that Hun was in. And there he was, in all his glory waiting on them as he had three Purple Dragon members with him.
"If it isn't the freaks." Hun said, arms folded.
"It's over Hun. You've got nowhere to run or hide." Leo said.
Hun laughed. "Oh I don't intend on running."
Four figures were behind the turtles and hit them with staves, spears infused with electricity and knocked three of them out. Michelangelo was the only one to not get hit, sidestepping at the right moment. Foot tech ninjas! He attempted to fight off and defeat the four ninjas.
"April! Tell the others! It's a trap!" Mikey said, as he put two of the heads of the ninjas together.
But it was too late. They were all defeated, one by one. Because there was no way for them to ever know they were coming, the foot tech ninjas all caught them by surprise and defeated them with ease.
Four more figures appeared behind Spider-Man and Static. The figures, with staffs with electric infused spears attempted to surprise and knock out both teenage heroes. While Spider-Man was able to use his Spider-Senses to avoid the attacks, Static was hit right as Spider-Man warned him. But, to the surprise of the figures(or perhaps no surprise as they seemed to be masked), Static was unaffected.
"Looks like you guys didn't do your homework." Static said, as his hands were infused with static electricity. "Now it's my turn." He zaps one of the ninjas, using some of the extra juice he got from the ninja that tried to zap him with the spear. Although it was a little too hard, to the point where he blew a hole in his chest.
Static and Spider-Man were horrified of what just happened, but they couldn't dwell on it as they had to take out the others.
Spider-Man, using his acrobatic skills was able to dodge the ninjas. Leaping on top of one, he webbed up his head and then got him to shock one of the others with the spear. The last one was taken care of by Spider-Man as he grabbed him with his webs and threw him into the wall.
"It's too late. They got them." April said.
"Looks like I'm the last turtle standing." Mikey said, running, grabbing a staff from one of the defeated ninjas. When those two were defeated, two more showed up in their place.
"How exactly did a meathead like you get ahold of these guys?" Mikey asked, slowly backing up.
"A gift. Don't know who it was from or how they got them. And quite honestly, I don't care." Hun said, continuing to watch Mikey as the ninjas closed in.
"I learned this from a kung-fu movie. Let's hope all that practice pays off." Mikey said. He began to swing and spin the staff, but lost balance and accidentally decapitated one of them.
"Oops." Mikey said, before seeing the electricity. "Huh? They're robots."
"Oh, thank heavens." Static said, relieved that he actually didn't kill someone.
"They didn't get all of us." Static said over the headset. "Spider-Man and I are fine." He said to April and Mikey.
"That's great and all, but I could seriously use some help here." Mikey said.
"Alright. Light's out." Static said, overloading the fuse box that they originally were going to take out before. The power went out. Nothing but footsteps were heard. The only lights coming from the staves. Although they tried using their invisibility to their advantage, remembering his training, he listened for footsteps, or any noise that was made and made the right decision each time. Using the staff to poke behind him and take out the first, then doing a well-timed reverse kick to another as soon as he heard a step. The other two he was able to catch at once, as they impaled each other in an attempt to get the turtle, successfully flipping over one of them to allow the friendly attack to occur. At the end of things, Michelangelo was the only one standing. Using Donnie's infrared goggles, he was able to make quick work of the purple dragons.
Mikey went to wake his brothers.
"Who turned the lights out? Literally." Donnie asked, regaining consciousness.
"Hun's getting away. He had foot tech ninjas. Except their robots." Mikey said.
"Stolen no doubt." Leo said. "If we got ambushed, then I'm sure the others did too." He said, as they were all being handed their handsets back.
"Already on it." Static said. As he said that, his hands lit up again. "Time to give 'em a little jumpstart." He said, hitting them with a bit of static electricity on their arms. Not enough to do damage, but enough to wake them because of the small sensation they get.
"Come on, the others need our help." He said.
They followed the two heroes, Static lighting the way in the darkness as they reentered the building.
The turtles descended the building, chasing Hun all the way back to the first floor. This one was full of vehicles. Mostly cars and armored vehicles. As they did, the lights were restored, meaning that auxiliary power was started.
"Come out Hun. We know you're here!" Leo said. He knew that Hun wasn't someone known for his stealth.
Suddenly, a large shaking was heard.
Hun was in a large mech. Almost like the one the Shredder had in the future. It was something else that was stolen from the EPF. He was saving it for an occasion like this. "Well, you wanted me. Here I am freaks. And here is your end. Permanently." Hun said, before pressing a red button that was on the right of the goalpost shaped steering wheel. A laser was being charged.
"I don't like the look of that." Mikey said.
"And we're probably not gonna like the feel of it either unless we get outta the way!" Raph said. The laser fired about a 2 seconds later from that statement. The turtles all dodged out of the way. Had they not dodged it, they would have met the same fate as nearly every vehicle in the room that was with them.
Hun then started to shoot two gatling guns. Using their acrobatics, they were able to dodge the bullets.
"We got to find a way to take that thing out!" Raph said.
"Stand still!" Hun said, locking on them with missiles now.
"Missiles! Incoming!" Leo said.
To dodge the missiles, the four were forced to run outside of the building.
"We're not going to be able to formulate anything if he keeps shooting at us like this." Leo said.
"Help has arrived gentlemen." Doyle said before noticing Hun in the giant mech. "Oh crap." He said as he and the others were met with an array of artillery fire. From rockets, to bullets. Doyle was able to counteract some of the rockets with his own though.
"Anybody got a plan here?" Doyle said, dodging bullets until the storm stopped.
"Reloading." The AI voice in the mech told Hun.
"Looks like there's our opening. Attack!" Leo said.
Many of the Purple Dragons were scared out of the skulls of what was happening.
"Don't just stand there! Help me!" Hun said.
"Right! Get 'em!" One Purple Dragon member said.
They attempt to keep the Saturdays, the turtles, Static, and Spider-Man back but to no avail. But their attacks don't seem to work, from any side or part.
"Hah. As long as I'm in here, you can't hope to beat me! I'm indestructible!" Hun said. But internally, Hun only figured that out until he started using it.
"He's right. I poured everything I had into it, nothing's working!" Doyle said.
"Then if we can't hurt him from the outside, we need to hurt him from the inside." Leo said.
Zak, who was originally in the ventilation in the Purple Dragon Hideout the entire time, originally looking to catch Hun by surprise as part of their plan, was out of the building.
"I've got an idea." Zak said. "Just keep him distracted long enough, okay?" He said over the headset.
They kept him distracted, at the expense of some of New York property being destroyed.
Suddenly, a Komodo Dragon appeared on his windshield, blocking his view and actually scaring him. It caused him to stagger back as he lost control, before trying to frantically get him off to no avail as he went invisible again.
"Fisk, give me a boost!" Zak whispered to him. He tossed him up to the mech. Only for him to get caught by Hun via the arms.
"Zak!" Leo said.
"What is he thinking?" Doc said.
"Not the smartest move kid." Hun said, smiling.
Zak uses his cryptid powers just then. Not to control cryptids, but for the light that came from his claw. He was held up so close to the windshield that he blinded Hun for a second and it caused him to fall.
"If I can't zap it or overload it, I might be able to drain it." Static said, attempting to do just that.
"What are you doing?" Hun said as he noticed that the systems were indicating that that the power was until it completely shut down on him. "Aw crud."
"You okay?" Spider-Man asked.
"Yeah. No biggie." Static said.
They were all standing over the defeated Hun. He had no choice but to get out but was defeated by Casey who charged at him with a punch that knocked him out cold.
"That... was for you pops." Casey said.
While the turtles escaped to the rooftops, Static, Spider-Man and the Saturdays stayed to supervise the arrest of a webbed up Hun, who Spidey took a picture of.
"Didn't expect to see you here. I thought you were only local in Dakota." One officer said, referring to Static.
"Temporary vacation." Static said.
"In any case, we appreciate any help we can get." Captain George Stacy said, approaching the heroes. "Spider-Man."
"Captain Stacy." Spider-Man nodded in response, mutual respect between the two.
The Captain then looked at the webbed up Hun. "Hun was the leader of a large crime syndicate, the Purple Dragons, as I'm sure you all know already. His reach has been countrywide. They're small in other parts of the US compared to here, but left unchecked, we would've has a major problem on our hands. At least bigger than what we've had already. There's records that he's stolen top secret government technology several times. We've been trying to take him down for a while. And thanks to you we can finally bring him to justice."
"Listen. I know I've said this a lot. But I know there are several more people out there that think the same thing I do, but don't have a big enough voice for it to reach. But, we genuinely appreciate the help. Keep making a difference. Whether it's here, the other states, or even the rest of the world." He continued. The Saturdays, Static, and Spider-Man were all about to depart.
"Try telling that to J. Jonah Jameson." Spider-Man said as he crawled on a wall before swinging away. Captain Stacy looked on before he heard a groaning sound.
Hun was awake. "Good. You're awake." He said.
"Wha-" He said, trying to remember what was happening before he was suddenly cuffed. With bigger(and stronger) handcuffs to fit his hands and make sure he couldn't escape.
"On account of your long list of crimes, I'd say unless a guardian angel's watching over you, you're going away for a long time." Captain Stacy said.
"You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in the-" An officer started.
"Shut up already!" Hun said, as he was loaded onto an armored truck and the doors closed, being driven away.
Rooftops
"Well, that's the end of Hun." Mikey said.
"And with him falling, it's only a matter of time before the rest of the Purple Dragons fall apart." Leo said.
"Yeah." Casey said. "You can rest easy now pops." He thought, closing his eyes, knowing that he finally has closure on the man that killed his father.
"And with the end of Hun, it's also the end of our team up." Spider-Man said. "It was great working with you five again." He said, referring to the turtles. "You guys too." He said to the Saturdays and Static.
"You should come over to New York more often. I could use all the help I could get." He said to Static.
"It's a great offer, but I still got my own city to protect." Static said.
"True." Spider-Man said.
"As great as it would be for us to stick around. I think it's time we go back home." Drew said.
Zak gives Static and Spidey high-fives along with Mikey.
"Stay cool little dude." Mikey said.
They all went their separate ways, but not without Spidey leaving a souvenir for Zak. A picture of Spider-Man with all of them. Just for him.
SHSHSHSHSH
Back at the hotel, Virgil returns. Richie was knocked out. He would tell him about all the action on the way back tomorrow.
Turtle's Lair
The turtles, April, Casey, and Splinter all celebrated the victory against Hun with pizza.
Leo, however was silent.
"I know that look Leo. What's up?" Raph asked.
"What Mikey told us earlier about the foot tech ninjas. Hun said they were gifts." Leo said.
"That is a concern. Do you think there's a mole in the foot?" Donnie said.
"I don't know. But it wouldn't hurt to talk to Karai about it." Leo said.
"If someone is out there helping him, then I have a feeling that this is not the last time we will hear from Hun." Splinter said.
Foot Headquarters
"There are no moles that I am aware of." Karai said, in a pink kimono robe with flowers on them, before sipping her tea. While his brothers rested, Leo went to Foot HQ to ask Karai if there were moles stealing or smuggling Foot Clan tech.
"But, if there are, I will snuff them out. Personally. The punishment for betrayal of the Foot Clan is severe." She continued.
"Thanks Karai." Leo said.
Karai nodded before Leo left and took another sip of tea.
The Next Day
Virgil, Richie, Daisy, & Frieda were all on the plane back to Dakota. Virgil and the others had already called their parents to tell them they were on their way back.
"I still can't believe we got to see Dr. Connors and Static on the same day." Daisy commented.
"Really sucks that great work like Dr. Connors' won't be finished. Work like his might not come for the next hundred years." Virgil said.
"Don't you guys think it's crazy that when we decide to come to New York, Static does too?" Frieda asked.
"Maybe it's just a coincidence. Or he's Dakota Union's guardian angel." Richie said.
"Nah. I got the feeling he just wanted to see the Big Apple for himself. And maybe even catch a Knicks game." Virgil said, smiling, one of his hands flickering with static electricity.
New York
"Yeah. It was great seeing Dr. Connors again. To tell you the truth, I still felt like I played a role in him leaving for Florida. It was something that I thought I would have to live with. Seeing him doing well just takes a lot of weight off me. Eddie too." Peter said, at a table outside of a restaurant with Gwen. He was drinking a milkshake.
"I'm glad Peter. Listen, we all make mistakes. You can't sit there and blame yourself forever. You can't change the past. You can only worry about the present and move on to the future." Gwen said, who was eating a salad.
"You know, that's the second time I've heard that. Eddie said it to me when he got out of the hospital." Peter said.
"Great minds think alike." Gwen said, smiling as she took another forkful of lettuce.
"Yeah." Peter said. He was about to take a sip of his smoothie. But he stopped and put it down. He took a deep breath. "Gwen." Peter started.
"Yeah?" Gwen asked.
"You and me. I know things have been... different since Harry's father died. And since I went out with Liz. And, obviously with Harry." He said, rubbing his neck. "But, every time I'm around you, there's this feeling I get." He continued.
"Look. What I'm trying to say out of all this is... I want to... to try again. You and me." He said.
Gwen picked at her salad. "I... I don't know Peter." She then heard a voice.
"Is something wrong? I'm sorry, I shouldn't have-"
"No, it's not you. I just thought I heard... Harry." She said.
Peter looked around. No Harry in sight.
"I didn't see him."
"Must've been my imagination." Gwen said before taking a pause. "Just give me some time okay?"
He nodded.
"Speaking of Eddie. Is he doing alright?" Gwen asked.
"Yeah. He said he had a job that pays. He seemed like he was okay to me." Peter said, drinking his milkshake again.
"But have you gone to check on him since?" Gwen said, sincerely concerned.
"Actually... no. I haven't." Peter said before standing up. "I'll see you later Gwen!" He said.
Gwen waves and smiles.
Peter walks. "He seemed okay, right?" He thought. As he was walking past another restaurant, he heard a familiar voice.
"Sir, I'm really sorry for what happened to your order. If you just wait here for the manager, I can get you a refu-" Eddie said, in a drive-thru window before the food and drink was thrown in his face. The perpetrators laughed, and drove off, one of them asking if they got that recorded for social media. Eddie sighed. "Glad it's my break time."
"Johnny, take over will you?" Eddie called out as he walked outside. Unfortunately, this was something he would have to keep on until he got back home.
"Eddie?"
"Peter? Didn't expect to see you here bro." Eddie said, before they gave each other a fist bump.
"Yeah. Didn't expect to see you working at Omega Burger either, getting food thrown at you." Peter said.
"That?" Eddie said, pointing back to the drive-thru window. "That was nothing. I can handle it."
"Yeah, sure. When you said you had a job that pays, but it wasn't what you wanted, fast food drive-thru service was not what I pictured." He said.
"I've been gone for so long, Peter. Alright, who's gonna take me? I've tried. Several places. They either don't have openings or they heard about what I did as Venom."
"Come on, Eddie do you really think everyone-"
"Yes. They may not tell me outright, but I can see it in their eyes. They're scared of me Peter. Of who I was."
"Eddie. I may not be an expert on wages, or have worked in a restaurant, but I know they don't pay well here. How are you even going to be able to pay off your apartment?"
"Just treat myself to less nice stuff. I'm sure I can manage until I find a better job." Eddie said, being optimistic.
"But when? If they still remember what you did as Venom that long ago, do you think they're just going to forget later on? Not to mention I'm sure you still have to pay off what you missed, even if you were in the hospital. There's one thing I know about business, it's sometimes it's cruel."
"Listen, I can handle it. Okay?" Eddie said, a small bit of annoyance and edge in his voice.
"Alright. I won't question whether you can handle it or not anymore. But... J.J. said that you're welcome back to the Bugle."
"For what?" Eddie said, raising an eyebrow, curious. He didn't recall ever doing anything that would have ever interested him since he's been out.
"His words, not mine: You threatened Spider-Man to bring back Dr. Connors and he folded from the pressure." Peter said.
Eddie laughed. "Good ol' JJ. Hasn't changed at all." He said. "Listen, I'm touched by the offer. I really am. But I'm going to have to pass. I'm not about to assist in helping telling lies about Spider-Man."
"Understandable."
"You know, I've been meaning to ask you. How exactly did you find out about me being released from the hospital?" Eddie asked.
"Oh, that. Gwen told me. MJ told her and then she delivered the message to me." Peter said.
"Ah." He said. "You know, I can still see it in you two's eyes. The love."
"What? Come on, you know Harry is-"
"Listen man, Harry's a nice guy. And I know both you and Gwen know that. But I can see it. I saw it when we were at ESU. She doesn't look at him the same way she looks at you."
"If you need any tips. You know who to talk to bro." Eddie said, before playfully putting a fist into Peter's chest.
"Yeah. Thanks." Peter said. "Just... if you need any help with looking for a job, let me know, alright?"
Eddie nodded.
Peter daps him before getting ready to bring it in for a hug until Eddie stops him. "That... might not be a good idea. With the... uniform and all."
"Right." So they settle with a standard fist bump.
Saturdays' Airship
"I'm telling you, how does your dad not get angry after all the stuff that we do? I mean, how many times were you put in direct danger?" Zak asked Wadi as he was teaching her how to play Super Smash Brothers Ultimate. Zak was playing as Byleth, while Wadi was playing as Villager, claiming that it was a "cute character to play with" after seeing the moves.
"What he doesn't know, won't hurt him." Wadi said.
"I'm not so sure about that." Doyle said, looking at the TV, as it was still covering the breaking news of Hun, the leader of the infamous Purple Dragon gang being imprisoned, with pictures of the Saturdays in a picture.
Wadi's video phone was ringing.
"Street gangs? Put the Saturday parents on the phone right now! I want to understand what exactly you all have been doing these past few days!" Maboul said, before no longer ranting in English, clearly angry.
"You just had to say something didn't you?" Wadi asked, clearly believing that Zak jinxed it.
Zak had a smile on his face laughed, before rubbing the back of his head. He was at the very least, a little embarrassed.
8:00 PM
New York
Hun was sitting in prison. He was confident. No, knew, that the Purple Dragons would at the very least try to bust them out. He's done too much for them to not return the favor. He wasn't a leader that stood back that watched his underlings get taken out before doing something or running away. He was someone that stood with them in everything. That HAS to mean something. Right?
Suddenly, officers, along with Captain George Stacy were at his cell. One of the officers opened it.
"What do you want?" Hun asked.
"Well, looks like you've got a guardian angel after all. Goes by the name of Roman. Do you happen to know them? Family or..."
"No." Hun said, in a tone that said, "I don't feel like answering twenty questions. Get to the point."
"Don't know why someone all the way in Florida would want to release someone like you especially with the amount of bail you had, but I won't question it. Whoever it is, must have a real kind heart. You got a second chance at freedom. So many other people in here wish they were in that position. I suggest you not waste it." Captain Stacy said.
After filing all the paperwork for his release, he was free to go.
"Alright. You're free to go." An officer said.
As he was walking, Hun was already devising a plan to get rid of the turtles once and for all.
"Hmph. I don't know how Roman is. But I gotta thank you. For spending your hard-earned money on me, out of all people." Hun said, laughing.
Eventually, he comes across a man in a suit, as he steps out of a limousine.
"Hun, I presume?" The dark skin man said, with a British accent.
"Yeah, who's askin'?"
"Roman, sir. He says that he is a big fan of your work. He said that being able to turn a small street gang that would just perform small robberies to one that was able to get their hands on government tech AND break away and compete with the notorious Oroku Saki and the Foot Clan are no small feat. He believes that it takes years of work."
"Yeah. And? Get to the point already."
"Mr. Roman, sir, is offering you to work with him. This is not a job per se. You will not be working for him. Instead, you will be working together to get to a common goal. His number and address are on this card." He hands him the card. Hun looks at it with curiosity, scratching his head as he does so.
"That is all. Have a good night, sir." He said, smiling, before getting back into the limousine, as it drives off.
Hun looks at the card for a few seconds before ripping it in half.
"No way. I worked for someone already. For so long I was loyal to him, doing everything he asked of me. And look how I was repaid. Look at how Baxter Stockman was repaid. I was sent to work in a furnace! Turned into a mutant freak! Completely erased from existence, with no regard for anyone! Not even himself! And he wasn't even human! I will never call anyone, "master" again. Besides, I've never heard of this guy a day in my life. Probably pardoned me for some sort of scam." Hun said, before walking away.
A/N: His iconic theme from the series would play here as he walks away.
Elsewhere
Baxter Stockman and another man with glasses was seen in an unknown location. The only thing that could be seen was a window that gave a view of the night sky.
"Your work precedes you Dr. Stockman. But tell me... what would working with you do to change the previous outcomes we've had before?"
"Precisely why I chose to work with you. What have both of our outcomes been against our enemies? Failure. Failure. Failure. And oh yes, more failure. As a genius like me, you understand what it means to have a brilliant mind with endless ideas and plans, and yet STILL FAIL." Stockman said, the last two words echoing across the entire room.
"I... we, have worked with SEVERAL different allies. Yet, all, except for the respectable Agent Bishop, have one thing in common: Their minds are nowhere in the stratosphere as ours." Stockman said. As he was walking, it was revealed that he was somehow able to make an exact replica of his older body via a robotic-like body before the Shredder and his "punishments" tore him down piece by piece, limb from limb.
"I have learned, after my previous collaboration, something that I should have thought of sooner. Something, that is SO simple, it is incomprehensible why I did not think of this before." Stockman said.
"And what is that?" The man asked.
"I have learned, that in order to defeat our enemies, our minds must be combined. No longer, will our ideas and our minds go to waste on buffoons who believe they know better how to use a machine that they put ABSOLUTELY NO EFFORT IN BUILDING. No longer, will we be bested by the ego and incompetence of those that believe they hold leverage over us because of their strength."
"Although my last collaboration, with Dr. Doofenshmirtz failed. Working with with has allowed me to have an ever better opportunity to work with you, and destroy our enemies . Once and for all. Using the strongest muscle known to man. The brain." He said.
"Now. I believe this is yours." Stockman said, handing him a disc.
Using the disc, robotic tentacles suddenly rise up to life behind him, and he smiles.
A/N: And that's it! Another story I had fun writing. I'll see you guys on the next story!
