"Blizzard!"
Luz was at the bottom of the cliff, looking for her Slitherbeast. She was panicked, worried about the only friend she had for the last nine years.
"Blizzard!"
She looked around before finding dozens of dead bodies and a large Slitherbeast. Luz ran over and kneeled next to Blizzard. Luz put her hands on Blizzard and the Slitherbeast let out a low pain noise.
"It's okay, mommy's here." Luz said, slowly rubbing her fur.
Blizzard looked at Luz, before opening her mouth and licking her Human. Luz knew what this meant, and she didn't want it.
"No, no you'll be okay." Luz said, "I... I'll figure something out. You'll be okay."
Blizzard nuzzled against Luz, as tears began to form in Luz's eyes. Luz lowed her hood and mask, trying her best not to cry.
"Blizzard... I-I-I can't... I'm not ready to say goodbye. Please, don't leave me." Luz said, "I... I'm not... I'm not ready to be alone again. Please, Blizzard, I already lost everything else... I can't lose you too."
Blizzard licked Luz again, letting out a purr noise. Blizzard slowly stopped purring, and slowly stopped breathing. Luz fell to her knees and couldn't stop crying. Blizzard was truly the only friend she had for so long, she was basically Luz's baby. Slitherbeast can live up to forty years, so her only being around nine or ten... she was so young. Luz heard a twig, or bone she didn't care which, snap and turned around with a spell circle halfway made. She was Amity, but didn't put the spell circle down, she was seeing red and the only thing that she could think to do was kill anyone in sight. Amity crouched down and approached slowly. She knew that Luz has become like a wild animal and when she was angry like this, it was best to approach slowly and speak softly.
"Luz, it's me." Amity said, "I'm not going to hurt you."
Luz's hand started to shake.
"Put the hand down." Amity said.
Amity moved closer to Luz, being able to lower Luz's hand with her own. She pulled Luz into a hug and let her cry on her shoulder.
"I... I lost her." Luz said, "Someone died because of me again!"
Amity moved so Luz could look her in the eyes.
"Luz, you are not responsible for everyone dying. She did that, because she loved you, she did that because she knew you were important to saving the Isles, she did that because she's like all of your friends, we will die, if it means keeping you safe."
Luz looked confused.
"Friends?"
"I was going through the bodies when I found something."
Amity motioned for them to come forward. Luz watched as Willow and Gus walked up to them. Amity looked back at Luz.
"We're here for you, we're going to stand by you." Amity said, "And we're not going anywhere this time."
Luz looked down and hugged Amity.
"Thank you."
