Damian remained silent as anything and everything that had been sitting around loose in his room hovered around him in alternating, changing orbits. Across from him, Ahsoka was also meditating. Not truly. In truth, it was one of the PROXY droids he had finally finished working on and dispersed to his family, one to Riyo and Barriss, one to Ahsoka and Alina, one to Enfys and Jek, one to Shaeeah, and one to stay with him. However, currently, the PROXY droid was transformed into Ahsoka, while the one with Ahsoka was transformed into Damian, the two droids both using extremely advanced communication tech to act out what the person they were transformed into was doing, allowing them to actually talk to each other, even though he was on the Ghost and Ahsoka was at home.
"Tell me about your newest vision," Ahsoka finally said, neither opening their eyes.
"I saw a prison, and I saw the Sith Stalker," Damian said. "And I felt fear."
Ahsoka was silent for a long while. "You need to take precautions."
"I am," Damian said. "I've been wearing my chest plate, and I bring the mask everywhere I go as well, though I don't wear it."
"And the rest of the armor?" Ahsoka asked.
"I'm going to start bringing it," Damian said. "I can put it on with the force in a couple of seconds, so I'll keep it with me."
Ahsoka nodded. "Please be careful."
"I will," Damian promised. "I'm not going to do anything to risk being able to see my family."
Ahsoka nodded. "How's the droid working out?"
"Well, he's got me and the Ghost as forms for decoy purposes, as well as having me as a combat form," Damian said. "He's got our family now so that we can talk to each other. And the favor I called in got me the remains of Dulheif Ghaar's, with some of his circuitry still intact. You'll never guess which two forms I got from it."
"Probably not Darth Malgus or you'd have started with that," Ahsoka said.
"No, unfortunately," Damian said. "Not Darth Malgus. Even though that's be extremely helpful. The two forms are a Sith named Darth Maul, who was the Emperor's apprentice before Count Dooku, and Jedi Grandmaster Satele Shan."
"What!?" Ahsoka gaped. "That droid had Satele Shan as a form and didn't use it!?"
"Nah, I'm just kidding," Damian chuckled, Ahsoka groaning and holding a hand to her face. "The second form is actually that Angel Elite you fought."
"Well, I suppose that's pretty useful too," Ahsoka said. "She's fast. She's not Satele Shan, but she's fast."
"Kanan said he'll be able to use his Holocron to teach my PROXY droid more Jedi forms," Damian said. "He says It's got Mace Windu, Obi Wan Kenobi, and Yoda."
"Really?" Ahsoka asked.
"Yeah," Damian nodded. "Can't wait to see what they can do. And to learn to fight from Master Windu."
"You'll have to be careful with him," Ahsoka said. "He used Form Seven, remember."
"I know," Damian said. "I'm not going to use Form Seven. but even without it, Master Windu was renown as one of the greatest lightsaber duelists in decades, right? So I'll still learn a lot."
Ahsoka nodded. "I gotta go. Alina's awake. I love you. Talk to you soon."
"I love you too," Damian smiled. "Give Alina a kiss for me."
Ahsoka nodded, smiling, and the droid deactivated.
"She seems very nice Master," the droid said. "Is there anything else?"
"No, not right now," Damian said. "Ahsoka's kyber crystals should arrive tomorrow, along with some spare lightsaber parts, so we'll build you some proper training weapons when they arrive. No more using lead pipes."
The droid nodded. "Thank you Master. I cannot wait to receive my upgrades."
Damian chuckled. "I'm going to check on the others. Go ahead and shut down for now, unless there's something else you'd like to do."
"With your permission, I'd like to access the HoloNet and search for any Imperial records regarding possible impersonation modules, or combat modules," the droid said.
"Can you do it without being detected?" Damian asked.
"Oh yes, Master," the droid nodded. "I am capable of imitating my digital signature and bouncing my signal through relays to make it impossible to track."
"Alright, go ahead," Damian nodded. "But if you get discovered, disconnect before you can be tracked."
The droid nodded and Damian left the room, finding the others in the common room.
"Oh hey, we were just about to come get you," Kanan said. "We've decided on our next move."
"Alright," Damian nodded. "Where're we headed?"
"We're going to hack into an Imperial Communications tower and send out inspirational messages," Hera said.
Damian blinked slowly, staring at them before sighing, resting his face in his hand. "You guys, love making things difficult, don't you?"
"Sometimes," Kanan smirked as they all left to get ready.
Damian sighed, and headed to his private armory, grabbing his armor and weapons, then heading to the cockpit. However, as he sat down in one of the chairs, Hera turned to him.
"You're staying with me for this mission," Hera said. "Kanan wants as few people as possible this time, and I want to see if you can fly this ship as well as Fulcrum says you can fly your own."
Damian chuckled. "Flying a ship like this isn't hard. The trick is flying it as well as you. I've seen you fly. You're better than me. My ship's just super advanced compared to the Ghost."
Hera smiled and nodded. "Either way, Kanan wants you as emergency reinforcement."
"Alright," Damian nodded. "In that case, I'm going to check on my droid."
Hera nodded and Damian headed back to his room.
Damian looked out of the ship as they neared the tower. Below him, Sabine, Ezra, Chopper, and Zeb were at the top of the tower. Kanan was at the bottom, struggling to duel the Inquisitor. Damian prepared to jump, only for his body to suddenly stop. He frowned. Something was holding him back.
"Get the others in the ship!" Hera shouted.
Damian yanked them all in with the Force, then looked down.
"Specter Two, get out of here!" Kanan shouted over their communicators.
"Not an option, Kanan," Hera said as the anti-ship guns began to fire up at them.
"Hera!" Kanan snapped.
Hera looked back at Damian and he leaned out, looking down, only to freeze. There, standing beside the Inquisitor, who was pinning Kanan to the wall with the Force, was the Sith Stalker. He looked up at Damian, then tilted his head away from the tower.
"Go!" Damian said. "Go now!"
Hera closed the door and flew away from the tower, and a moment later, several massive lasers reached the area they had been and exploded, narrowly missing destroying the ship. Damian grit his teeth. He hadn't sensed him. He had no idea he was there. The flight back to the Ghost was silent, and once they had landed, Ezra, Zeb, Chopper, and Sabine went to the common room to send out their first message. Hera, on the other hand, turned on Damian.
"What happened!?" Hera demanded, on the verge of crying. "You were supposed to be help them! Why didn't you go!? Why did you let them take Kanan!?"
Damian sighed. "I'm sorry. I didn't know he was there. He hid himself from me."
"He?" Hera asked.
"The Sith Stalker," Damian said. "He was with the Inquisitor. I...I can't beat him. Especially not when he's with the Inquisitor and that many stormtroopers. He'd have killed me and then Kanan would have been taken anyway."
Hera was silent for a long moment before nodding. "I understand."
She turned, walking away, and Damian walked to his room, finding his droid was powered down.
"Power up," Damian said, the droid activating.
"Oh, welcome back Master," the droid greeted him.
"Did you find any new forms?" Damian asked.
"I did," the droid nodded. "Would you like to know who?"
"No," Damian said. "can you get in contact with Ahsoka right now?"
The droid was silent for a moment before activating his holo tech and turning into Ahsoka.
"Hey," Ahsoka smiled, before it faded. "I just got an earful from Fulcrum higher. What happened? You guys were supposed to remain unseen."
"I know," Damian sighed. "Kanan came up with a plan to hack an Imperial comms tower and send out a message. So they did. But there were...complications. Kanan was captured."
"I see," Ahsoka said. "You know they can't go looking for him."
"I know," Damian said. "Can you ask Fulcrum higher? Just in case?"
Ahsoka nodded. "I'll ask but...If I get permission, I'll call Hera and tell her directly. Based on what you've told me, she'll want to know."
"Yeah she will," Damian nodded. "But, Ahsoka, there's something else."
"What?" Ahsoka asked. "I'm gathering I won't like it."
"The Sith Stalker was there," Damian said.
"You're not going near him," Ahsoka said flatly.
"Ahsoka, please," Damian said. "If we have permission to rescue Kanan, we need to. I'll be careful, and I'll wear my juggernaut suit, but I need you to ask the boss first."
Ahsoka sighed, nodding. "I'll ask. But if you go, I'm going with you."
"No way," Damian said. "I'm not letting him hurt anyone in my family. Especially not you."
Ahsoka sighed. "Fine. Just...come back to me. Okay?"
"I will," Damian promised.
Ahsoka nodded. "Oh, by the way, Barriss should be meeting up with you in an hour with my lightsaber parts and the crystals I sent."
"Is it your green and yellow ones?" Damian asked.
"No," Ahsoka said. "You remember those inquisitors Fluffy killed? I took their lightsaber crystals and purified them. I wasn't sure what to do with them, so I was planning to put them in blasters for Jek and Shaeeah, but never got around to it. But this will be a better use for them."
Damian nodded. "We'll have to start collecting crystals for the other droids, too."
Ahsoka nodded in agreement. "I have to go. I'll talk to higher."
"Thank you," Damian said. "I love you."
"I love you too," Ahsoka said. "Please be careful."
Damian nodded and Ahsoka disconnected.
