Part 2 of train rides! Today's chapter will have povs from Mathias Knight, Danielle Sin, Jupiter Maxson, and Kratos Tatopoulos

July 24th, 31 A.D.D.

Mathias Knight, District 4 Male

After a long and tiring day yesterday I awoke late in the afternoon. As I awoke a loud knock was heard at my door.

"Come on Mathias, we've been waiting on you for lunch!" Marilla yelled through the door.

I groaned as I rolled out of bed and put on a new t-shirt and pants. After a few minutes of me adjusting myself to the morning lights, I opened my door and walked towards the dining room.

"About time." Marilla mumbled.

"Sorry I had to get ready." I shrug with a sigh.

"Guys, no fighting." Adore says with her eyebrows raised.

Me and Marilla both nod as I take my seat next to her and wait for our meal and Matthew to arrive.

"I hope you two had a good night's rest." Adore smiles at us both.

"It was nice until Mrm Snorer over here snored all night." Marilla jokingly rolled her eyes.

"Hey! It's not my fault I snore." I say with a chuckle.

When Matthew walked in we went quiet as he sat down.

"Good afternoon Mathias. It's nice to see that you have woken up." He smiles.

"Sorry I was so tired after last night." I sighed.

"No need to apologize, you are alright." Matthew nodded before opening the new Daily Panem Report newspaper.

We all sat in awkward silence for a few minutes until finally our food arrived.

"Why this looks delicious! Don't you think so?" Adore says as she looks in awe at the meals.

"It certainly looks better and tastes better than the fish at home. In fact fish is our only meal at home." Marilla commented.

"Yeah...you get quite tired of that taste." I chuckle.

As we sat there and ate our lunch, we watched the Capitol News. Today's news was once again a recap of the reapings this year. The Capitol seemed to like the career tributes more this year as usual, but you can't deny this year's cast is certainly interesting.

"We only have two more days until we arrive at the Capitol, you two!" Adore smiled brightly.

"Yeah I can't wait to see the Capitol in person." I softly say to myself.

"Me too." Marilla says after swallowing a spoon full of fried rice.

After we finished our meal we all pitched in and cleaned up the table and brought everything down to the kitchen. Once the table was set up and clean I decided to head back to my room and watch the tv from there.

Danielle Sin, District 6 Female

My mind was going through a whirlwind of emotions. Most of them made me feel afraid, some of them made me feel brave.

After the reaping two days ago, my body has become numb. Of course why wouldn't it?

"Miss Sin, would you like something to drink?" A maid asked me.

"Oh- umm- sure. I'll take some ice water." I responded after a few seconds of silence.

"Of course. I'll bring that to you right away." The maid smiled at me and left the main room of the train.

After the maid brought my water back to me, the doors opened for Logan whom I haven't seen all day.

"Where have you've been?" I asked.

"I've been in my room, obviously." Logan frowned as he flopped onto the red velvet couch.

"Oh- right." I respond looking back down at my feet.

"How are you feeling Logan?" I asked.

"Like anyone else would be, shit. Their is nothing much we can do about that." Logan pouts.

"You are right, but why not at least try to enjoy yourself? That's what I'm trying to do." I glared at him calmly.

"You don't understand….I- I'm going to go. I'll see you later." Logan frowned and stood from his seat and walked back to his room.

With a sigh I looked out the window, seeing the shiny windows of the Capitol up yonder.

"We're almost there…" I sighed as I placed my head into my arms.

Jupiter Maxson, District 5 Male

I stood from my seat and looked out the window seeing the Capitol. I couldn't believe we have almost arrived.

"Lavinia- look." I muttered and pointed out the window.

"It sure is pretty." I smiled to myself.

"Yeah." Lavinia smiled.

"How are you feeling now?" I asked remembering what Lavinia told me yesterday.

"I still feel like shit, but not as much as yesterday. Thanks for comforting me yesterday." Lavinia hugged me.

"No problem-" I sighed.

I was so exhausted after this long day, and I haven't even done anything that much today. It's probably my many thoughts that made me tired.

"I'm going to go take a nap before we arrive. See you later Lavinia." I smiled at her and left the room.

I placed on some more comfortable clothes and laid down in my bed as I looked up at the ceiling and shut my eyes.

Kratos Tatopoulos, District 2 Male

"I'm prepared for the games. I've always have been.

"I'm the best tribute ever, and will be the best victor ever. I am the best. You are the best. Thank you….I know I'm the best." I say to myself as I grinned in the mirror.

I've been training for this moment my whole life. I've been training to be a killing machine, and of course I am. Everyone knows the name "Kratos Tatopoulos" back in District Two. You can say I was the buzz, or the news.

"Hey Kratos, you've been in there for 30 minutes. Stop talking to yourself and let me in." Mal groaned through the door, her annoyed voice echoed through the room.

"Give me a minute!" I hollered and gathered my bathroom supplies.

"You've been in there long enough." Mal sighed as I opened the door.

"Sorry." I apologize sarcastically before heading back to my room.

I jumped onto my bed and grinned brightly. I looked through the books of victors and thought how one day I'll be in history. It was a fairytale reality, a dream! This dream will come true. You can count on that.
