Chapter 12: The Horror (Bloodbath)

Hey y'all I'm going to start being busy with school so I've decided to skip the last pre games chapter and start the bloodbath! I hope you enjoy!

TW: extreme violence, and gore

Bo Wright, District 10 Female

August 6th, 31 A.D.D.

Twenty-Four pedestals rose up and circled a candy coated field. It was filled with trees with large gummy bears, a large chocolate river, and assorted candies around us. I could make out a backpack and several weapons in the circular chocolate dome which could easily fit tributes. The room itself was enormous, not even including a mysterious dark tunnel in the middle of the chocolate river and several other rooms.

It certainly was an interesting arena. I wasn't surprised however, based on the previous year's arena, it isn't shocking. I was wearing a colorful cotton candy pink suit with artificial gumdrops as buttons and tall purple hiking boots with candy cane laces, the male tribute wore similar clothes to the girls.

The clock had already begun ticking and tocking as the time became smaller. I couldn't dwell on my fears because only fifteen seconds remained.

I would look around absolutely frantically for supplies I could reach without getting seriously injured or dying. As I looked around frantically I would find Salem five pedestals to my left, while Otis eight pedestals to my right. I know that I have manipulated them multiple times before, but now I will put that aside. We need to work together if we all want to make it out of here.

I looked up at the countdown again. Ten seconds remained.

I would straighten myself up as the count was at five seconds remaining. I got into a running position as I prepared to run as fast as I could.

I let out a deep breath as the gong rang.

Kratos Tatopoulos, District 2 Male

The candy room erupted into pure chaos.

I immediately ran towards the cornucopia and swooped up a large backpack and a sword. I grinned and awaited my alliance to come towards me. That's when I began to panic.

All around me was pure violence and utter horror. I never knew it'd be like this, Panem's broadcasting made it seem like a fairytale, but this certainly was no fairytale.

I was frozen solid trying to figure out what to do. All I could do was watch my allies brutally slaughter the tributes.

Marilla repeatedly plunged a machete into the boy from eleven heart.

Mal swiped her sickle at the boy from 10 necksl.

Kiera stabbed her partner from 1 with a sword.

After witnessing the bloodshed I let out a blood curdling scream. This was something I never did, something I never was trained to do. It startled me for sure.

My allies quickly turned to look at me in shock and disgust.

"What's wrong Kratos, cat's got your tongue?" Marilla smirked.

"N-nothing." I choked.

"That scream certainly didn't seem like nothing." She wickedly grinned as she stepped towards me. "Let's fix that shall we?"

As she stepped towards me I slowly stepped back and ran into the back of the cornucopia.

"P-please don't do this! I can help!" I pleaded.

"You've already helped enough." Marilla growled as she plunged a sword in my stomach.

I coughed up blood as she twisted the sword slowly, deepening the blade. I slowly and painfully look up as she pulls the sword out of my stomach.

I collapsed to the floor as a pool of blood began to form around my body. I never knew my fight would end here, but I realized I was not prepared.

Salem Winters, District 11 Female

Iwas usually a calm and sweet girl, but after the going rang that all changed.

I ran towards the outskirts of the cornucopia, scooping up a small red bag and quickly twisted around to look for my allies.

I saw Bo not to far away, she managed to gather a dagger and small blue backpack. Not to far across from her was the body of that boy from 2 being hoisted away into the sky by the hovercraft eavibg a bloody trail below.

Otis didn't go as deep into cornucopia like Bo did, but he dod managed to grab small red backpack, similar to mine.

As soon as Bo saw me she instantly ran towards me; waving her hands to signal Otis to follow her.

"Salem! I'm so glad I found you. We all need to go." No shrieks at me and Otis.

Before I could open my mouth a began to twitch and fall to the floor. A trident pierced out my back. Five feet behind us was Mathias.

"Salem!" I hear my allies shriek.

I screamed in pain as Bo and Otis both used their strength to pull the heavy trident out my back. Blood squirted out as O felt a relief, but then the pain came running.

Bo quickly ripped a piece of her outfit off amd wrapped it as much around me wound and helped me up.

"We need to go now!" She yelled as her and Otis helped me run with them.

I limped away as fast as I could away from the cornucopia; following my allies into a room labeled "Top Secret Candies Room". I wondered what was so secret about this room, but I know I'll eventually find out.

Lilith Wayne, District 7 Female

Screams of all the dying tributes echoed through the candy room, so loud that the mint flavored grass seemed to tremble. I managed to make it through the cornucopia to grab an ax, but it wasn't easy. The empty handed boy from six, Logan, tried to steal the ax from me.

"Leave me alone!" I hollered and swung down and sliced Logan's arm.

The boy yelped in pain and ran off before he could be injured even more. I held onto my ax and only thought one thing

I did not want to die.

As I frantically looked around for Fabio, whom I haven't seen the entire bloodbath. That's when I heard a familiar voice scream.

This voice was the scream of agony and pain. I ran over to where I heard the voice, and saw Fabio, bathed in his own blood. I ran over to him as he coughed up blood.

"Who did this to you!?" I cried out.

"That boy from f-four." He choked out slowly and painfully.

"I'm going to kill him!" I growled as I gripped onto my ax tighter.

"N-No don't get yourself killed. You need to go...now…" He says as tears flow down his cheeks.

"No, I won't leave youm" I cried.

"Yes you are! Just go now! Please!" He cried out.

"I- can't-…." After seconds of silence I finally responded "Alright…" I sniffed as I got up from where I stood, gathering my supplies and ran directly towards another room. I twisted my head around to see Mathias finishing Fabio off. I watch as he raised his trident and slammed it into his jugular. I quickly shut the room's door and closed my eyes as I began to cry.

With that we have officially ended the bloodbath! This was surely an interesting chapter! Only two pov death? Anyways see you next time!

Ah Kratos, it may be shocking the readers p2f your death. However LadyCorneliaStuart and myself always knew Kratos was going to be a bloodbath death. He was cocky and selfish, but he was not prepared for the bloodshed he was going to witness. RIP Kratos.

20th Place: Fabio Daveen, District 7 Male [Cause of Death: Stabbed in the jugular with tridentby Mathias Knight]

Like most people on this list, Fabio did not deserve to go out like this. All he wanted was to try his hardest to survive and he did, but in the end he wasn't able to escape. That is why I feel like this is where his story would end. Thank you Landon for submitting Fabio.
