"At The End Of The Day, You Are Who You Are, And It's Probably Who You've Always Been."
Lucas Scott lived his life the way everyone expected him too. He gave up basketball a career he loved and expected to have a future in. For writing instead.
Sure he got diagnosed with HCM in high school but that doesn't make a difference. He made it a point to make sure to live in a way that didn't leave behind regrets and mistakes.
The woman smiled up at him.
He walked over to where she was.
Wrapping his arms around her.
She kissed him hard.
"I love it Luke. It's more then i ever imagined." The woman said.
"You get only the best." He replied.
"Let pick out which bedroom i can start thanking you in." The woman said. With a seductive grin. Leading him up the stairs by the hand.
Lucas knew without a doubt that she was his future.
Then why did he have this nagging feeling of dread everytime he thought about proposing.?
...
Sometime Later
Brooke kept a close eye on Barney and Bailey. She had just finished enrolling her sons in middle school. In Tree hill that was 6th grade through 8th.
Lately they had been asking more and more questions about her past. More importantly who their father was and where was he.
Brooke didn't have a honest answer to give. So she ended up distracting them with other things.
Eventually though she would have to sit them down and explain that when they were brought into her life it was during such a dark period.
Brooke didn't move back to her hometown for comfort or in need of familiar settings.
She needed to confront the past she was running from. Starting with finding out who the father of her sons is.
"Aunt Peyton!" The boys exclaimed happily.
Peyton Sawyer smiled and engulfed her godsons into a hug.
"B Davis." Peyton said.
"P Sawyer. I missed you." Brooke said.
"I missed you more. You're not allowed to ever leave town again." Peyton proclaimed. Hugging her best friend tightly.
Brooke hugged her back.
"How are you and Nate these days.?" Brooke asked curious.
Peyton sighed deeply. "Engaged. Rachel will meet us later."
"She's busy enjoying being moved in with her boyfriend." Peyton explained.
"Hopefully she brings him with her tonight." Brooke replied.
