I love you more then i should.

So much more then what is good for me.

The consumed quiet only made the dark walk down the hallway and staircase that much more difficult. Brooke hadn't prepared herself for what images she would see and be unable to forget.

She hadn't realized she was screaming until the echo filled her ears.

She cradled her father and mother's life less bodies. Begging them to wake up. But she was met with nothing but silence and their blood on her shirt.

The front door was left open and no one was there.

Brooke grabbed her cellphone and called 911.

"Someone killed my parents!" She yelled at the 911 operator. Unable to properly answer and process the questions being asked of her.

By the time an ambulance and police officers arrived to the Davis estate.

Brooke was numb. A blanket drapped over her shoulders by one of the emergency workers.

They attempted to distract her. While the bodies of Ted and Victoria were brought out of the home.

"Who can you stay with honey.?" A voice asked.

"Peyton Sawyer. My best friend." Brooke replied. Unable to stop looking at house she once considered home. Knowing she could never go back there.

...

Brooke awoke with tears falling. Her heart racing. Gasping for breath. She looked around at her bedroom in the darkness.

She wrapped her arms around herself. Needing to calm down.

She hated this. She hadn't been haunted by nightmares in years.

Xzavier's impending release was affecting her and the news had only taken place days ago.

With Bailey and Barney staying at Lucas's house for the week.

She knew this was her opportunity to work through her emotions the best way she could.

...

Peyton stared down at the pregnancy test and the positive sign looking back at her and felt more bittersweet emotion then joy or happiness.

...

Lucas was never realized just how much his house didn't feel like a home. Until Barney and Bailey entered it.

They picked rooms that were across from each other. And made them reflect who they were.

To his surprise they weren't glued to their cellphones or computers.

They wanted to spend real time wth him. For Lucas he wanted to savor every second of this time.

He tried to keep the activities they did interesting and fun. But he made sure to be open to his suggestions.

He was also wanting to make sure they know they could talk to him about anything and everything. Nothing was off limits.

"Why aren't you dating anyone.? Barney asked.

Lucas felt his face grow hot. He was not prepared for this line of questioning.

They had been at the Rivercourt since after breakfast. Bailey was reading. Drawing. Taking pictures.

While Barney and Lucas had been playing basketball.

"Momma isn't dating anyone either. She's been focused on raising us for a long time. But that doesn't mean we don't want her to date. And be happy because we do." Barney added in.

And we want you to be happy. Because you're our dad and we love you." Bailey stated matter of fact.

"It's complicated between you're mom and me. We are just getting to know each other. And want to focus on becoming friends. That matters more then anything else." Lucas replied.

"So you don't like her.?" Barney asked.

Lucas took a breath. "I wouldn't say that." He replied.
