Bailey and Barney brought in their 13th birthday with their parents aand their combined group of friends beside them.

Cheers and applause filled the home. That had been shared between Brooke and Lucas along with their children.

Truthfully the back and forth. Various activities the boys were involved in. And Brooke and Lucas wanting their sons to have the stability of a home base.

Was the motivation they needed. To sell their former houses. And purchase a modern 4 bedroom. 5 bathroom. With a pool in the back. Fenced in backyard And patio area. Lastly A basement fully furnished.

Given the fact that Brooke and Lucas were not a couple. And neither of them brought up the kiss they shared months ago.

They had managed to lock away those feelings. Share a home. Stay in seperate bedrooms and become close friends.

Bailey and Barney were the ones who gained the most out this arrangment. They had breakfast with their parents every morning. Dinner every evening and on the weekends when their schedules allowed it.

They did outings and had family nights in.

...

Brooke stopped by Karen's cafe to get her needed jolt of caffeine. Before heading to Clothes over Bros to open for the day.

She joined the line of early morning customers. Checked her phone for the news and entertainment.

By the time she get's to the front of the check out line. She gives her regular order.

"Chai Tea. 2 sugars. And a large blondie. Thanks." Brooke says.

Blondies are brownies without the chocolate.

This was Brooke's chosen lunch. When she didn't have other plans.

"That will be 7.80" The voice replied.

Brooke went into her purse and handed him a 10 dollar bill.

"Xzavier. You have you're break coming up in a hour. Make sure to done with all customers by then." The manager made clear.

Brooke swallowed hard and looked up at the man.

She only then recognized he was the face that had been on various posters and who various news outlets wouldn't stop talking about.

"Forget my order." Brooke said. Racing out of the resturant.

Struggling to catch her breath and stop her hands from shaking.
