Call Me

He knew he screwed up big time. How could he be so stupid and do this to the love of his life… Would he be able to save the relationship or not? Randy Orton/OC mentions of others…

Call Me

Chapter 1

Kaitlyn was pacing the bus of her boyfriend for the last three years, she was in love with him in more ways than one. She was also sick of being alone and he only came home on the weekends or when it was convenient to him.

Kaitlyn was finally sitting down and called her best friend Eric Bass who was the bass player for Shinedown who she was very close to.

"Hey bestie what is going on?" Eric answered in his deep soothing voice.

Kaitlyn sighed in his ear "I can't do it anymore Eric I can't stand to be here with him anymore. He doesn't put me first like he used to but here lately he never comes back to the bus, he goes out with friends and then ends up getting a different room or he sleeps on his bus."

"Then break up with him and come to me, we have danced around each other for years. You know how much I love you babe." Eric said in his soothing voice.

"I love you too. Let me get my things and I will call an uber and will head to you. Where are you by the way?" Kaitlyn asked. She had never cheated on Randy not once, but dreams don't count right?

"In Wichita, KS I know the WWE is here tonight. We have a concert tomorrow night and we are across from the arena." Eric told her.

"You are a lifesaver babe see you soon." Kaitlyn told him and quickly hung up and grabbed all of her things that were on the bus as they were to pull out that night and head back home to St Louis. A place where she had called home for nearly 3 years. While she loved Randy she wasn't in love with him not anymore.

Wrap me in a bolt of lightning

Send me on my way still smiling

Maybe that's the way I should go

Straight into the mouth of the unknown

I left the spare key on the table

Never really thought I'd be able

To say I merely visit on the weekends

I lost my whole life and a dear friend

Kaitlyn left and as she was leaving the arena she ran into Stephanie McMahon and told her everything. Stephanie said that she completely understood and wished the best of luck and to keep in touch as she did some writing for the company. Kailtyn thought she was in the clear when she heard his deep voice and stopped in her tracks as the black SUV pulled up and the head of security for Shinedown got out and loaded her bags.

"What Randy?" Kaitlyn asked as she put her purse in the backseat of the car as Eric got out to help her in and she heard Randy growl. He hated Eric with a passion.

"This is all his doing to make you leave me?" Randy growled in a low voice.

Kaitlyn looked at Eric and smiled at him and kissed his cheek and told him just a moment. Then turned to face Randy. "No it's your doing. The last year you have changed you no longer care, you never come home unless I beg to go on the road with you. You quit coming to the bus after a show, or the room if we are there for a few nights. You used to put me first but no longer. I can't Randy. I will always love a piece of you but I have to put myself first."

Randy took a deep breath and looked at Kaitlyn. "I have tried my best haven't I? I have changed my ways haven't I?

I've said it so many times

I would change my ways, no, never mind

God knows I've tried

Kaitlyn shook her head at him " It's not about that Randy you changed to start with then the last year and a half it's been different. I have to go."

Call me a sinner, call me a saint

Tell me it's over, I'll still love you the same

Call me your favorite, call me the worst

Tell me it's over, I don't want you to hurt

Eric helped Kaitlyn into the SUV and they drove off. He just held her close as she cried into his chest.

It's all that I can say

So I'll be on my way

Randy just stood there just looking at the SUV as it drove off. He knew he had to get her back but that would be the issue. He knew that Eric would never let her go and neither would the lead singer Brent Smith. The three of them seemed too cozy in his mind. He felt a hand on his shoulder and looked at his best friend and said that he lost Kaitlyn to a bass player that was nothing.

Kaitlyn was staring out the window of the SUV as they traveled to the hotel the band was staying in. She had a lot on her mind while she thought she loved Randy she was deeply in love with the bass player of Shinedown Eric Bass. She felt him lace their fingers together and smiled over at him and laid her head on his shoulder. Eric brushed a kiss across her forehead and held her close. He knew things were complicated but knew that his love for Kaitlyn was strong and he wasn't about to let her go, not at least without a fight. It wasn't long and the two were at the hotel. Kaitlyn smiled at Eric and told him that she was getting into the shower and it would be nice to just relax for the night. Eric just kissed her sweetly and told her to enjoy her shower and since it was still early he would order out for supper.

Randy headed to his bus and saw that Kaitlyn had taken out her diamond earrings and laid them on the table as well as the necklace he had given her. He was lost and he didn't know what to think. He thought everything was perfect. Sure he had stepped out on her a few times, but what man doesn't right? He knew she didn't know that he had stepped out on her a few times. He was sure each time she went to spend a week or two on the road with Eric that she had stepped out on him. He was wrong on so many levels. In his mind Eric told her to leave him and they would be together. He showered and laid back in his bed on the bus as it rolled to the next show. He had to find a way to get her back.

I finally put it all together

But nothing really lasts forever

I had to make a choice that was not mine

I had to say goodbye for the last time

I kept my whole life in a suitcase

Never really stayed in one place

Maybe that's the way it should be

You know I live my life like a gypsy

After enjoying some Chinese take out Eric and Kaitlyn were wrapped up in a movie, even though neither was paying too much attention to the movie. Eric was rubbing her back while she was resting her head on his chest but looked up at him and kissed his jawline.

"Don't think too much it might hurt you." Kaitlyn said quietly

"Cheeky smartass. I love you and if you are willing will you be my girl?" Eric said and kissed her forehead.

"In a heartbeat just don't hurt me Eric I can't handle my best friend hurting me like he did." Kaitlyn said quietly as she laid her head back down on his chest and snuggled into him.

"Never in a million years doll never in a million years." Eric told her but she was sound asleep after laying her head on his chest.
