"Sometimes the best thing you can do is take a step back and give yourself a chance to breathe."
Brooke sighed deeply. Unable to wipe the smile off her face. Her hands somehow always finding their way to her stomach.
She was happy. Happier then she ever thought possible.
Brooke turned and looked to her husband.
Lucas's smile took up his whole face.
"I have dinner planned out. But if you're craving something let me know. We'll tell the boys after dinner tonight." Lucas announced.
Brooke leaned over kissing him. "Sounds great. And i am craving pasta. Any kind. With butter and cheese."
"What's for dessert.?" She asked.
"Anything you and our muchkin want." Lucas replied.
Brooke thought it over. "french toast with syrup." She stated matter of fact.
"Alright. See you tonight. I love you. And i love you too." Lucas proclaimed. Putting his hand on her stomach.
"We love you too." Brooke replied.
Lucas watched as she exited his car and went into Clothes over Bros.
He restarted the car and drove through town. Feeling at peace. In a way he had never thought possible.

Brooke went on about her work day. Un eventful. But she enjoyed it all. Interacting with her regular customers. Restocking the racks with new clothes from the backroom. And of course her lunch break.
Peyton eventually reconnected with Brooke once she settled into the new place she bought. Now she's living close to her dad. Larry finally giving up boat life for a more steady job. That gave him the chance to spend time with his daughter.
"I'm pregnant!" Brooke announced over facetime to Peyton. Along with Haley and Rachel.
"I'm so excited for you and Lucas. I'm going to be aunt Haley again!" Haley exclaimed.
"Fun aunt Rachel. I'm going to like that." Rachel added in.
"I'm 8 weeks along. It feels like. Luke and I are finally at place where we can just be the family we've wanted to be for so long." Brooke proclaimed.
"What are you thinking gender wise.?" Haley asked.
"Lucas would be overjoyed with either. For me. I'm holding out hope for a daughter." Brooke admitted.

Awhile Later
Brooke finished her shift. And left the store.
She went straight to her car which was parked in the owner's space nearby.
Got into her car started it and looked forward to heading home.
Eventually reaching the driveway of their home. She parked the car. Scrolled through social media. Which is what she did every evening before heading inside from work.
Once she walked through the door it was family time.
Brooke was taken aback at the sight of an email. Sent from both her parents.
The headline simply read. We heard you got married
Brooke wasn't sure whether or not to read the email. So she shut off her cellphone and went inside.
