The boys engulfing their mother into a hug.
Brooke breathed a sigh of relief. Hugging them back. Her sons were her heart. The loves of her life. Next to Lucas of course.
Gone were the days of them smelling like bubble bath and crayons.
They wore cologne now and deodorant. They were 13 now. In 3 more years they would be 16. Young men.
"I missed the two of you too. Thank you for keeping you're dad company." Brooke replied.
"You are just in time. The food is ready. The dessert is cooled down. Are you hungry.?" Lucas asked. Entering the entryway.
Brooke cupped his face with her hands and kissed him.
"We are. Very much." Brooke replied.
The boys looked to each other then back at their parents.
"What did momma mean when she said we.?" Bailey asked.
"What's going on.?" Barney questioned.
"We'll explain after dinner." Lucas replied.
"No tell us now!" They exclaimed in unison.
Lucas laughed. Looking to his wife.
Wanting to know what they should do.
Brooke nodded her in agreement.
Lucas sighed deeply. Taking her hand in his.
"We have a huge exciting announcement."
"We're having a baby!" Brooke stated matter of fact.
"We're finally going to be big brothers. This is so cool!" Barney exclaimed.
"I can teach the baby how to draw and read. And take pictures." "This is going to be the best!" Bailey added in.
With that the family went on to have dinner. Which was full of baby talk. Brooke and Lucas did their best to calm their boys excitment and make it clear it was early yet. There wasn't much about the baby to share.
...
Lucas closed the door to the bedroom. Laid out his PJ's on the bed.
And looked to Brooke.
"I'm going to shower. Let me know if you need anything once i'm done." Lucas announced.
"Nothing but you Mr. Scott." Brooke replied.
Smiling as he kissed her before going into the bathroom.
Brooke clutched her cellphone tightly and replied to the email.
