Reflected Back At You
Chapter 35
You are the size of a banana. While you are having hiccups and the ability to taste. I am dealing with lower back pain. Restless sleep. Changes in my hair and nails.
We made it little one. You're 20 weeks.
I am being treated with a pregnancy photoshot. Prenatal massage. A walk with my boys in the evening after dinner. Then a bubble bath to end the night.
Lucas captured Brooke's lips with his. Wanting to muffle her cries of pleasure. The couple only just beginning this new journey that was pregnancy sex.
Brooke brought it to Lucas's attention. Late last night. Sex during pregnancy is completely safe and beneficial – it helps you stay active, releases hormones that make you happy and relaxed, and facilitates a close bond between the couple.
Brooke felt herself get wrapped into his arms. She clung to him. Her body feeling awaken and so connected to her husband. She was without words.
Once she recovered. She smiled touching his face with her hand.
"That was incredible. I've missed being so close to you."
"Our bodies as one is something i will not want or need." Brooke proclaimed.
Lucas ran his hands through her sweat soaked hair.
"I love you more and more every day." Lucas stated matter of fact.
"I love you too. Can you believe we finally know what we're having."
"I can start decoracting the nursery. But i want you're input of course." Brooke insisted.
"I'll leave this to you. I know nothing about furnishing a girl's room. We're going to have a daughter." Lucas stated matter of fact.
"I'm looking forward to it all. I think for a name."
"We should go with Serenity Scott. Serenity Karen Scott. What do you think.?" Brooke asked.
Lucas leaned over and kissed her gently. "It's perfect." He replied.
As much as Lucas longed to stay in this bubble of happiness and peace he knew he had to be honest with his wife.
Which is why after dropping off their sons at school. Lucas returned home. Catching Brooke on her way out the door.
"We have to talk." Lucas said.
Brooke looked over herself in the mirror. And grabbed her purse.
"We can talk later. We have the whole day." Brooke replied.
"I went to go see you're parents. To get the answers you deserve to have. They didn't give me any details. But i think whatever business they are involved with is layered with risks and danger."
"Then there is them threatening me. Making it clear. If i kept digging. I would lose someone i love again."
"I shouldn't of gone there at all. I know. I was trying to protect you. To make sure you weren't affected by whatever they are involved in, They can't be trusted." Lucas insisted.
"I love you too. And understand why you confronted them."
"But i refuse to stand by and let anyone come after my family. That's a lesson they are about to learn." Brooke proclaimed.
