Chapter 1: A Hero Returns

Kaseki Shiryoku:

The vast expanse of ocean isn't something one considers during their daily life, but it becomes very apparent when your life is threatened thousands of feet above it. Kaseki Shiryoku began to have those very thoughts as she peeked down the aisle of the airplane she was currently situated in. Her golden eyes caught a glimpse of the back of the terrorist that was holding the plane hostage.

"How in the world did this happen?" She thought to herself, the slits of her reptilian eyes narrowing even more as glared, "And just before I got home too!"

Earlier that day:

Kaseki Shiryoku sat in the airport, pouring over her itinerary one last time before boarding the plane to Japan. She closed the fold-out and looked out of the window, noticing all the planes landing and taking off in the hot Californian sun.

She couldn't help but reminisce on her time spent here, while she grew up in Japan, she grew to love America. Her mother had been right, spending time outside of the Country would help her grow as a person. She learned many things about life, paying for rent, keeping an out for scams, and learning to just fend for herself. Just after graduating from UA High, she got an offer from the American pro hero: Canon Catapult. He was known worldwide for being a picky hero, only picking heroes to be his sidekicks if they impressed him. Needless to say not only was Kaseki surprised, but so was everyone in her class. Even the students with some of the best track records like Izuku, Shoto, or even Katsuki.

After careful consideration, Kaseki took him up on his offer and has spent the last two years living in California learning under him. Even if she did get visits from her family during that time, she was ready to return home. She missed her family, her home, and more importantly, there was someone back home she was hoping to see again.

Shaking herself out of her daydream Kaseki got up and started heading towards her gate, her long iguana tail dragging on the ground behind her. While she had never really had self-confidence issues growing up, once she got out of the sheltered environment of her childhood, she definitely faced discrimination due to her mutant quirk, pink scales on her cheeks and thighs were definitely attention-grabbing, and while she could cover up her lizard feet, she was still a target for the Creature Rejection Clan. Even with their central leadership easily killed nearly five years earlier, factions of the Clan still kept popping up worldwide.

As she neared her gate, Kaseki noticed some people in the line for the plane looking suspicious. He had a baseball cap on and a hoodie pulled up, covering his face. If she had been on duty, she might have paid them some attention, however, she was going home and not in the mood to investigate, she rationalized that she might just be paranoid after working in one of the most villain-heavy cities in the world. However, the flight attendant waved him through and he bored the plane without incident.

"Ticket and Passport Please?" The flight attendant pondered as Kaseki approached, the young heroine smiled and handed over her ticket to the young woman, who looked over it quickly and handed it back, "Thank you for joining us Miss Shiryoku."

"Thanks for having me," Kaseki nodded and boarded the plane, finding her way to the very back of the plane, headed for the extra space section she required due to her tail. The section was very spacious and had plenty of room for her. She stretched her legs and got ready for the long trip that was inevitably coming. Laying back in her seat Kaseki closed her eyes and let herself drift off to sleep.

Current Time

Kaseki shook her head, hating herself for not dealing with the man when she saw him. His hat and hoodie were now ripped off revealing his face, his black lifeless eyes with points of burning ember at the center of them. His wild orange hair smoldered as his arms slowly grew brighter and brighter shades of red and orange.

"If I don't do something about him soon he'll kill us all." She saw the ceiling of the plane singeing from the heat of the villain's quirk. Kaseki looked around the cabin and saw the rest of the passengers huddling in fear.

"Give up all the Mutants and I'll let the rest of you go," The villain shouted as he grabbed a nearby child by the arm.

Kaseki narrowed her eyes, "Of course, he's a part of the CRC, those dang bigots." Hiding behind her seat she slipped off her shoes and socks and rolled up the sleeves of her shirt. International law allowed any registered heroes to act in any international space, so she didn't need to worry about the law, but she was still in a dangerous position, one wrong move could take down the plane.

She peered down the aisle once more and saw that the villain had turned around, looking away from him as he screamed more demands. It was going to be useless to try and reason with him, the only thing Kaseki could do now was to fight him and hope for the best.

She stepped into the aisle, her reptilian feet barely making a noise as she crept along the floor, staying close to the ground. The villain kept shouting his demands at the helpless passengers, Kaseki looked around at the nervous passengers giving her hopeful looks.

Crunch

Kaseki winced and the villain turned around, his soulless eyes looking at her and the bag of peanuts underneath her foot. He glared at her and threw the kid to the side, his arms turning orange with heat. Kaseki sprang forward, grappling the man from the front. Her arms wrapped around his, the intense heat that radiated from his limbs burned at her skin, but the increased durability she gained from her quirk let her power through the pain.

Kaseki Shiryoku

Quirk: Pink Land Iguana

Kaseki has all the powers of a Pink Land Iguana, this includes the ability to stick to walls, sharp claws, strong skin, and a powerful tail.

"What the?" The man cried out in surprise as the smaller woman grappled him, in vain he struggled against her powerful arms, "Let go of me you mutant freak!"

"Never!" Kaseki squeezed him tighter, the pain from the heat growing more intense. She winced but kept the pressure up.

The man threw his head back, his skull cracking against her nose and forcing her to drop him and hold her nose in pain. She pulled her hands back and saw the thick red sticky liquid now covering her hands, the villain himself holding the back of his head.

Kaseki

snarled, bearing her teeth as she got on all fours, her claws digging into the carpet of the cabin. The villain shook his head and got his bearings, but it was too late, Kaseki had already leaped into the air and swung her tail around. The big meaty appendage struck the side of his head and knocked him to the ground, taking advantage of his now compromised position she leaped on him and started raking her claws against his chest. The sharp claws dug into him, drawing blood and ripping his flesh.

The man screamed out in pain, begging for her to stop. The fury that filled her golden eyes faded, she got up from off him. The red ichor of his blood dripping off her claws, the flaxen colors of her eyes standing out against the red spray of blood on her face. She winced as her burned arms brushed against the fabric of her clothes.

The man stayed on the ground, whimpering and crying as his quirk faded off, leaving him a sobbing, blubbering, crying mess. Kaseki looked around, wiping the blood off of her face, looking for the air marshal. The man was upfront, looking at her handiwork, she held her hand out to the man, no words were spoken, but he knew what she meant. His shaky hands fumbled with the handcuffs at his belt and with them trembling he handed them over to Kaseki. She took the cuffs and returned to the villain, slapping the cuffs on his wrists.

"W-w-what was that?" The air marshall asked, nervously approaching her, "Y-you just leaped in without any hesitation."

"I'm a pro hero," She reached into her pocket and pulled out her pro hero license, her bloody fingers smearing the red liquid on the card, "I had this all handled."

"T-that was really something," He complimented her, looking at the villain, "B-but aren't you afraid you're going to kill him?"

"They're mostly surface wounds, he'll be fine." Kaseki ripped the sleeve off of her shirt and pressed it upon his wounds, staunching the bleeding and keeping him around, "The authorities will arrest him once we land."

"W-what should we call you?" One of the passengers spoke up, looking between her and the villain.

"Just call me Basilisk."

A few hours later

Kaseki winced as the paramedic applied vaseline and gauze to the burns on her arms. She had already spoken to the police, explained the situation, and got her license looked at. The villain had been taken into custody and was currently being interrogated. The paramedic finished wrapping her arm and handed her a couple of pills.

"Take these and then go get the burns checked out by a doctor," The paramedic said as she closed up her first aid kit and stood up, "Keep an eye on it, and good luck out there hero."

Kaseki got up and limped towards the police tape, the police were keeping the civilians at bay, and Kaseki saw the only three people in the world she wanted to see right now. Her family stood by the police tape, her mother, Shinka Shiryoku, looking just as beautiful as the day she started her modeling career, Tokage, her younger brother as cute as a button, and her mother's best friend Sozo Ryoku, standing a whole foot taller than her mother, no doubt due to the high heels he wore.

"Sis!" Tokage called out, slipping under the police tape he sprinted up to his sister and hugged her, sticking out his bright blue tongue, "I heard you took care of a bad guy, that's so awesome!"

"Yeah, I did Kage," Kaseki smirked ruffling her brother's hair, chuckling at how feminine he looked now, two years living with Sozo would do that to you, "He was no trouble for me."

"I knew it!" Tokage squeezed Kaseki again, he let go and walked back to his mom and Sozo with all the swagger of a professional model. Which made sense, Sozo was her mom's best friend, they met when her mom entered the modeling world, and they became quick friends. For the last few years, Sozo had been spending more time with the family. Kaseki had heard rumors from the tabloids that her mother and Sozo had begun dating, but she knew better, Sozo still wasn't over the death of his late wife.

Tokage and Sozo had always had a good relationship, with Tokage looking up to Sozo as not only an uncle but even a father figure. Kaseki knew that Tokage wasn't the most masculine boy when she left, but in the two years she was gone Tokage has totally embraced his femininity and barely resembled a boy anymore, he wore pastels, short shorts, and even styled his hair into a cute feminine style. Not that she cared, he was happy, so she was happy.

Kaseki finally found her way up to the police line and crossed it, hugging her mother. As she was embraced by her mother, the hug reminded Kaseki of warm and happy memories of her childhood. Her mother was a kind loving woman, though it wasn't always that way. Long before Kaseki was born her mother was a well-known flirt all throughout the world of heroes, but a short-lived relationship with a man she met at a bar left her pregnant. When Kaseki was born, Shinka realized that she didn't want to be a hero anymore instead, she took up a modeling career and homeschooled Kaseki. A few years later Shinka hooked up with the man again, but once she got pregnant again he left once more.

"Hey Sally-mander," Shinka smiled, stroking her daughter's hair, and eyeing the bandages on her arms, "Are you hurt? Did you give that villain a good thrashing?"

"Yeah I'm hurt, but I'll be fine," She presses her head into her mother's chest more, "He won't be doing anything anytime soon."

"That's my little girl," Shinka smiles more and lets go of her daughter, and smooths out her daughter's shirt, looking Kaseki up and down. Her clothes were splattered in blood, but they still were beautiful, a t-shirt with tied up sleeves, jean shorts, and a pair of sandals, "You've grown into such a beautiful young woman."

"Mommy," Kaseki rolled her eyes and pressed her hands into her pockets, "You're embarrassing me."

"Of course, she is," Sozo butted in, with a knowing wink of his dark pink eyes, "That's what mothers do Pinky-pie."

"Pinky-pie? Really? You haven't called me that in years Sozo," Kaseki blushed and looked at the ground, "Have you guys just been waiting to embarrass me?"

"C'mon sis," Tokage took her hand and looked up at her with his giant bright blue eyes, "You know that we only do this because we love you."

"Not you too Kage," Kaseki feigned pouting, crossing her arms in defiance, "What do you guys think of helping me get my stuff and moving me in?"

"Changing the conversation are we?" Shinka smirked, ruffling her daughter's hair, "I guess we can do that," Her mother turned and took Kaseki's bag. Kaseki sighed and followed after her, letting her mother take the bag, she was exhausted from the fight, and her wounds would probably get worse if she strained herself like that so soon after a fight.

Kaseki followed them all to the car, Sozo and her mother took the front seats while she sat in the back with Tokage, the boy cuddling up to her. To anyone other than her, it would look like two sisters meeting up for the first time in a long time, but Kaseki knew better, her brother was just the affectionate type.

"So Sally-mander, I know you planned on moving back here and joining an agency, but you haven't told us who you're going to work with, did you get many offers?"

"Well not a ton of offers, only two really…" Kaseki trailed off, she was a little disappointed that all the agencies she wrote didn't give her an offer, but that was to be expected, not every agency could afford to take on another sidekick, even with Canon Catapults' recommendation she didn't pull that many, "I got an offer from the Fur Force agency, and I think I might choose to go with them."

"Fur Force?" Tokage muses for a second, she could only imagine that he was trying to remember where he heard that name before, "Ooh, isn't that where the pro hero Cookie works?"

"Yes it is," Kaseki smiled ruffling the hair of his head, "They're actually the one that gave me the offer."

"Cookie is my favorite hero," Tokage smiled, snuggling up to his sister even more.

"They're pretty great," Kaseki cuddled up to him more, sharing her warmth with him.

"What about the other agency?" Her mother suddenly butted in, "You said you got an offer from two right?"

"Oh well, it's the Ryukyu Agency," Kaseki blushed, even telling her parents about it was embarrassing, there was no reason the agency should want her, even if one of her best friends was a part of it for a while, "But I'm probably going to reject the offer."

"Now why in the world would you do that missy?" Her mother scolded, not even taking her eyes off the road, "That's a very prominent and prestigious agency, how often are you going to get to train under a pro in the top ten?"

"Not often," Kaseki mumbled, her golden eyes a little crestfallen, "But I don't want to go with them, I don't belong there."

"Why would you think that?" Sozo spoke up from his place in the passenger seat, "I may not be a hero, but I meet with them quite often, you've got all the qualities of an exemplary hero."

"Y-you really think so?" Kaseki blushed, it wasn't often that Sozo spoke during this tense family matters, so when he did you know he really meant it.

"I may not be a part of this family, but I treat you as my own Kaseki, you deserve to be in that agency as much as anyone else."

"Besides I hear they team up with the Fatgum agency quite often." Her mother butted in again, this time a sly smirk on her face.

Kaseki blushed even more, remembering a red-haired friend from her time at UA, a smile creeping up on her face, "You know what, you're right." She pet the top of her brothers head, her eyes darting between her surrogate uncle and her mother, "Starting tomorrow I'll be a member of the Ryukyu agency."

Nanako Haizono:

At times it really irked Nanako that she had to work alongside Izuku Midoriya, for starters the boy was essentially a celebrity long before he even graduated from high school, secondly, she hated that he was recruited to the Hawks Agency at the same time as her, even though she was two years older than him. Finally, she hated that smile of his, that stupid, dumb, cute, unbearably irresistible smile, a smile that made her feel like all her troubles would melt away, a smile that made her feel safe and protected like he would always be there to help her when she needed him.

"Haizono-sempai?" Then there it was, the voice that at one point was so tinged with nervousness and excitement that now sounded so proud and handsome, "Do you need something?"

Nanako jerked to a start, she had done it again. Every day shortly after lunch she'd find herself staring at him, thinking to herself all the reasons she hated him, before slowly drifting into a dreamlike state while watching him finish his lunch and get started on his paperwork. It was like clockwork, and every day she'd need to come up with a dumb excuse to explain why she was staring at him.

"Oh uh," She blushed, which was, fortunately, something that was largely hidden under the thin layer of fur that coated her skin, "I was just, uh, examining your paperwork technique, you seem to do it rather quickly, and I wanted to know if there was anything you were doing that I could do as well."

"Oh, sure thing Haizono-sempai," He turns to face her more head-on, and she can't help but look at his figure, she had seen pictures of him from high school, especially during his fight with Todoroki during the sports festival, and he was a scrawny piece of wood then, but now he had really come into himself, his arms were nice and thick, his chest bulging and actually appearing to be a bit too large for the costume her currently wore, so much so he had to actually pull the zipper down exposing his bare chest to her. Finally, the ridiculous head of hair he had was pulled back into a ponytail that exposed even more of his handsome face to her.

"S-so, uh, what is you're doing when you fill out this box?" She already knew the answer, again she watched him every day, but getting him to explain it to her while they were within close proximity? That was something you didn't see every day.

"Oh, that is a tricky one, that's the file number of the case report you're supposed to write up after each incident you're involved in," He got up from his desk to show her the paper from a better angle, with him standing behind her, while she was leaning over the desk, her butt pressed up against his waist. He kept talking, but she didn't hear a word of what he said, she hadn't been this close to him since they first sparred upon getting here, he had beaten her easily, and in the three years since she avoided fighting him again, though now she felt like he was even taller than he was back then, it felt like he was almost six feet tall, he was actually a more than few inches taller than her, and she was five-foot-five.

Finally, he stopped talking, which she regretted, whenever he rambled on she felt like she could get lost in his words. He smiled at her, ruffled the hair on her head, and went back to his desk. Nanako was at a loss for words, he never did that, and well frankly it shocked her, but she couldn't help the white-furred tail attached to her rear from wagging in excitement. She grabbed it went to sit back at her desk, staring at her reflection on the monitor of the computer. Her sharp red eyes stared back at her with obvious lust and excitement in them.

"Yo Nanako," The voice of her boss rang out from the direction of his office, leaning out of the doorway was none other than the current number one hero, Hawks. He was waving for her to come to him, "I need to talk to ya, it's a top-secret mission thingy ok?"

"Right away sir," She shot up from her desk and started fast-walking her way to his office, the white boots of her costume clacking against the polished marble floor.

"Nanako I thought I told you to stop calling me sir," He complained as she walked into his office, closing the door behind her.

"Oh, right, sorry…" Nanako looked down, her eyes avoiding contact with his, "What is this secret mission you have for me?"

"Oh, there isn't one," Hawks chuckled as he cleaned out his ear with his pinky, "I made it up to get you to my office faster."

"Oh, then what is this about?" Nanako looked up at him, her eyes showing a hint of fear, "You aren't here to discipline me, are you? Because I swear that intern deserved to be fired, he put salt in your coffee on purpose."

"No it's not about that," He chuckled perching himself on the couch opposite of her, "It's about this agency's rules regarding inter-office relationships."

"I'm sorry sir, how does this apply to me, I'm currently single," She looked around nervously, "You aren't going to ask me out are you?"

"What?" He busted out laughing holding his chest as he kept chuckling, "No, you know I'm not on the market, or am I?" He teased with a knowing wink.

"Then what is this about?" Nanako gulped, was another coworker asking about her? Was it Midoriya?

"Well it's about you and Midoriya," He started.

I was right? Midoriya has been asking about dating me? No way, that's impossible, he-he-he-he's Midoriya, I can't date him! I can say no right, he can't make me date him. Oh, maybe he's saying that we can't date due to working together! Yeah, that has to be it! She rambled to herself, trying to think of all the possible reasons why he'd bring up Midoriya, a habit she picked up from the before mentioned coworker.

"I've seen how you look at him," He smirked, leaning in closer, "In fact, I'm pretty sure everyone except for him has noticed how you look at him."

"What are you possibly insinuating?" Nanako tried to deflect, there's no way he was going to suggest what she thought he was.

"I'm insinuating that you actually have a crush on him," There it was, exactly what she didn't want to hear, but it had to be a classic Hawks tease, he loved to do that, there was one time he pretended to die to a villain and they held a memorial for him and everything. She looked at his face, usually, when he was making a joke there was a glint of mischief in his eyes, there was none of that this time.

"Uh, no I don't, I think I'd know if I did." Nanako tried deflecting again, maybe he'd drop it if she denied him enough, "Besides you know we're rivals."

"Oh I've noticed," He continued, relaxing back onto his couch, "Now I'm normally not one to point this stuff out or get involved in personal affairs, but I'm afraid I have to remind you of this agency's rules regarding relationships between coworkers."

Nanako sighed, she hadn't read the entire section regarding that, she knew she'd never get involved with anyone, so she was in the clear, even if she did like Midoriya, which she didn't, she was certain he was about to tell her it was forbidden.

"The rules state that interoffice relationships are…" He trailed off before smirking, "Totally fine! So go for it, you and Midoriya would be a great couple, and not to mention unstoppable on the battlefield. Besides I ship you guys, he's got the charismatic charm of a top hero, and you've got the ruthless skill, but also a soft spot." He poked her shoulder, "So I'm not saying you have to, but I am saying that you've got the opportunity to give it a shot. So don't miss the shot."

With that he got up and left the office, leaving Nanako by herself with her thoughts. Her eyes tearing up and her face turned red so bright it was visible underneath her fur. The more she thought about it, the more she thought about all the time she spent with Midoriya, the lunch breaks they spent together, the villains they apprehended, and the sleepless nights they would take a break on the roof of the skyscraper that served as Hawk's agency, the more she realized something she never really wanted to realize. Maybe she didn't hate Midoriya at all, in fact, maybe she actually kinda liked him. Maybe…just maybe, she loved him.

Hina Amaii:

The hero team known as Fur Force was relatively new compared to teams like the Wild Wild Pussycats, but it didn't mean they were any less popular or effective. In fact due to the management of the team they were actually one of the most popular hero teams in the country at the moment, and definitely the most popular in Tokyo. That's one of the reason's why Hina joined, that and the fact that it was recommended to her by her teacher as a way to come across as more appealing.

She was still the newest member of the team, having joined the team only two years ago. She didn't really mind, it was ran by her favorite pro hero after all, Miruko. It was all due to an incident with her years ago that Hina even found herself on the path of becoming a hero. One thing she wasn't a huge fan of in the agency was that she wasn't given too much responsibility. She would go out on patrol occasionally, but most of her time was spent in the office checking the work email.

"That sucks," Hina sighed upon seeing an email from someone that Cookie had given an offer to, it appears that Kaseki Shiryoku had denied the position on the team, leaving Hina as the newest still.

"What happened Tanuki?" Cookie looked up from his desk, the pink haired goat person was in charge of Hina while Miruko and Red Bull were out on patrol, again she hated being the newest person on the team, it meant she had very little time with Miruko and was always being babysat.

"Just the person you sent the offer to denied it," Hina replied, running her black claws through her messy dark brown hair, "Our team isn't really growing the way I expected it would."

"Well that's a shame," Cookie put down the paperwork he was working on, "I just saw on the news that she helped stop a villain attack on a plane."

"That was her?" Hina looked up from the computer once again, her eyes brimming with jealousy, "I heard that the guy was extremely dangerous, I'm impressed."

"What do you expect from somemone that spent two years training under Canon Catapult?" Cookie jested, turning back to his paperwork.

"I guess that's to be expected, really since that All for One incident four years ago the heroes in recent years have been really impressive," Hina smiled, her eyes drifting to a picture of her and her classmate Inasa posing together after the battle, they were both very injured, but you could tell from the excitement on their faces they were glad the war was over.

"They have to be, we lost many good people during that," Cookie responded as he finished up on his paperwork, "I'm just glad that Tungsten and Thirteen made it out of there alive."

Hina's ear twitched, it wasn't often that Cookie would mention his relationship, not that it was a secret, it was all ove the tabloids. His husband Shiro Hideyoshi was one of the most popular rescue heroes, mostly due to his feminine appearance, but when it came to light that not only was Shiro dating Thirteen, but also Cookie at the same time, it caused quite the uproar. It's faded out of discourse recently, but Hina's still seen them show in the tabloids occasionally, from her understanding Shiro is intending to marrying both Thirteen and Cookie.

"Yeah me too," Hina turned back to her course work and checked over some more applications for a final position on the team, "Are you sure we can't hire just anyone?"

"Yes I'm sure, we've got a reputation to uphold," Cookie responded as he got up to get a coffee, "Want some?"

"Uh sure," Hina nodded her head, flipping open the file for one applicant. His track record was good, he'd resolved almost all incidents he was involved in, though it wasn't many criminal cases, mostly search and rescue. His quirk fit the animal theme the agency had going for it, and most importantly he came from the infamous Class 1A of UA high. His name? Koji Koda.

Reza Hikari:

"Alright guys," Reza Hikari called out as she reached a checkpoint in her game, she wasn't exactly sure how long she had been streaming for, the blackout curtains in her room kept any light from getting in, and she neglected to keep a clock anywhere nearby lest she get distracted by how long she spent on her streams, "I think that does it for tonight, please be sure to subscribe if you're not already and have a great day." She waited a few seconds, letting the last few people comment in her chat, most of them wanted her to keep going, and a few were kind of crude, asking her to step on them. Shaking her head she stopped the stream and pulled off her headphones.

Her glowing purple eyes opened wide and closed as she tried to keep herself awake, pulling herself out of the chair she used to game in she made her way to her window, opening up the curtains letting an ungodly amount of light to pour in and nearly blind her. Letting her eyes adjust to the light she sighed and fell back into her bed, she knew she was streaming for a long time, but she didn't expect that she had spent literally all night on the game. Checking her phone she saw that it was almost ten in the morning, she sighed and rubbed her eyes, hoping to not fall asleep. She was just glad she didn't have to go into work today, the Endeavor agency was so large that his Sidekicks got days off consistently.

While she didn't have to go into work today, it didn't mean she had the whole day to herself, she hated to admit it, but she would have to get up and get dressed soon, she and her boyfriend had plans to go out and get lunch together. It wasn't often they both got time off from their busy schedules to meet up like this, so she just let herself rest for a few minutes. In only a few seconds her phone buzzed with a new notification. She checked the phone and smiled, it was her boyfriend of all people.

Sparky: Babe luved the stream keep up the gud work 3

Reza smiled and hugged the phone close to her chest blushing. She loved him so much, he would always check up on her, watch her streams and basically just do anything to make her happy, and she loved every minute of it. She could spend all night getting showered with praise and compliments from thousands of strangers, but the moment said something even as simple as "I miss you", she'd turn into a blubbering and blushing mess. Reza replied back to him, trying to keep her composure.

Highlight: Thx babe super tired but i'm ready 4 our date

Sparky: k b over soon

That caught her off guard, he was going to be early, that wasn't the plan. She got up and ran to the bathroom, she needed to shower. After a night of gaming in a room that definitely got too stuffy in the hot summers she was a sticky sweaty mess. She stripped and got into the shower, taking a moment to relish in the warm water cleaning her skin before she got to cleaning, it was only a few minutes before she started shaving her legs and armpits, before finally getting out and getting into her underwear.

She ran to her closet and looked at all the clothes she had in there. She didn't even realize her door had opened when she thought she found an outfit she liked. As she reached for it she felt someone grab her waist, her first instinct was to scream out, but the familiar warmth of the arms and the gentle manner in which they grabbed her put her at ease, it was her boyfriend Denki Kaminari.

"Personally I think you look best like this." He teased leaning in close to her and whispering in her ear.

Reza only turned her head and kissed him on the lips, and then turning her whole body to follow and wrapping her hands around the back of his head. Pulling him in deeper for a kiss, she pulled back her face red as a cherry.

"Thanks for reminding me why I'm dating you," Kaminari smiled wrapping his arms around her waist, "I'm not even sure I want to go out if that's the way you greet me."

"Oh we're going out," Reza booped his nose with her finger, her glowing purple eyes sparking with mischief, "I'm not blowing a day off like that."

"Don't you normally just play video games all day on your days off," He chuckled letting go of her and taking a seat on her bed, letting her pick out an outfit from her closet. She pulled out a black plaid dress and slipped it on over her underwear. She turned to him and sat next to him on her bed, her hand finding its way into his, her fingers interlacing into his.

"So what if I do? Today is a special day isn't it?" She smiled at him, it was their one year anniversary of dating, and she was expecting him to do something special.

"Of course it is," He chuckled putting his free hand on top of hers, "Today is the day where I get to treat you like the princess you are Rez."

"Den, you know I love you right?" She suddenly blurted out, her eyes dropping to the ground as she blushed.

"Of course I do, I love you too," He cupped her face and had her look at him, "Always have and always will."

"Good," She nuzzled into his hand and smiled, glad to feel safe and protected, a feeling she wanted to chase from now and to all of eternity.

Yusha Kirameki:

The day of a young hero started early, and as much as she hated it, Yusha forced herself to get up at the crack of dawn. Her day started off with a drink of hot coffee and a shower. Even though she didn't need to be at work for another three hours she still wanted to get and early jump on the day. She got dressed in exercise clothes and looked at herself in a mirror, she'd only been on this routine for a few weeks, but it was already showing. She had lost some weight, not that it was her goal. Her performance at work was lackluster compared to her co-workers, and she wanted to change that. So exercise was the best option, it would help her build stamina and get used to the harsh vigors of hero work.

A knock at the door grabbed her attention and she headed to the front living area and opened it up. Standing there in just a t-shirt and shorts was her best friend, Neito Monoma. They had met when she moved in, which was right around when she started her exercise routine. He lived in the same hero subsidized housing apartments as her, but he wasn't a part of any hero agency, instead working as a freelance hero that was payed by commission.

"Kirameki, are you prepared for todays exercise?" He boldly proclaimed, holding a water bottle out to her, "We can't lack behind for even one day."

"Oh thanks Neito," She took the water bottle and smiled at him, her mint green eyes sparkling with amusement, "I was just finishing up, I'm ready to go now though."

"Come on," He used his head to gesture down the hallway and started walking for the front door of the apartment building.

She followed after him, clutching the water bottle tightly before finally struggling to get it into the waist holder he had bought for her a few days ago. He was really nice and always seemed to know exactly what she needed, it was impressive really, she had heard from some friends that he was mean, but she hadn't gotten that vibe from him at all, in fact it seemed like he was incredibly nice and hardworking. His quirk was the type that required him to work with others to use effectively, so he always hung around some agency and popped in to help when they needed it, but recently he's been hanging around with her.

As they reached the outside they started their jog, Yusha didn't mind, it wasn't nearly as hard as her first time, and now she rather enjoyed it. She even started to listen to music during it, listening to the hero Earphone Jack jam out to a song she wrote in high school. The jog lasted nearly an hour, and by the time they lapped around back to their building Yusha was ready to finish. She plopped down underneath a a tree, and Monoma joined her shortly.

"Say Neito, why're you my friend?" Yusha pipped up as she took a drink from the water bottle.

"Because you're a good person Kirameki," He pursed his lips and took a drink from his own bottle, "Why would you ask such a ridiculous question."

"Well it's just, I never really see you with anyone else, and well I was wondering if there was a reason you wanted to be friends with me," She questioned again as she turned to look at him.

"Well I guess there is one other reason," He said as he turned to her, wiping the sweat off his forehead, "I saw you after your very first time going on one of these jogs, you were absolutely destroyed by it, your legs were shaking and you even vomited." She nodded her head in agreement, that's exactly what happened and she hated every moment of it. "But then I saw you go out again the very next day, and the day after that. It was obvious that it was hard for you, but you kept on doing it." He smiled at her and touched her shoulder, "You're just like me, you have a quirk that's destined to keep you at the sidelines, and will never get the title of main character, but you haven't let that stop you. You keep trying your hardest, no matter what. Yusha Kirameki, you're me, and want to make me be better."

A/N:

Well here it is, the very first chapter of a brand new fanfiction centered around my OC's. I hope that you guys enjoy this and have a fun time keeping up with me. I'll be doing a monthly update schedule, I'll be uploading a chapter within 2 days of the 15th every month.

Additionally before anyone yells at me in the reviews of this, this is obviously an AU divergent from canon, I'll be keeping most things the same to canon, but with some changes. Mostly I'll be shipping my OC's with canon characters, and some canon characters will end up in lesslikely ships. However the focus of this story will always be my OC's.

Thanks for reading, please review and tell me how I'm doing. Go Beyond, Plus Ultra!
