While arriving on earth. Cheer Bear, Champ Bear, Love-a-Lot Bear, Tenderheart Bear, Brave Heart Lion and Lotsa Heart Elephant landed somewhere in a forest region near a local town. As they got out of their Rainbow Roller cars, they didn't see the boy anywhere.

"Should we be worried?" asked Lotsa Heart Elephant.

"This boy appeared to be very angry and running from something. Makes me wonder who or what was he running from and what made him so angry because I've never seen a child get so irate like that." said Tenderheart Bear looking alert.

"I'm sure he just needs some cheering up." said Cheer Bear with a sense of optimism.

"He just needs a little love." said Love-a-Lot Bear showing some hope.

They went to search for the boy as they felt like he had to be nearby since they made sure that they landed somewhere in the area of where they saw him in. They were keeping themselves alert and minding their surroundings as they had no idea if they'd find the kid or not in the area they searched.

"Should we split up? We can cover more ground that way." suggested Brave Heart Lion.

"Only if we have no other choice." said Tenderheart Bear kindly declining on the suggestion. "When we find him. We have to try and be gentle with him. He might still be fuming like I saw him."

"You should've seen what he looks like. He looks...whoa!" said Lotsa Heart Elephant.

"What made him look so whoa?" asked Cheer Bear.

That's when they heard what sounded like singing but it wasn't like any other singing they've heard anyone do before. It sounded like someone was singing folk and roots rock music but there was no music, no instruments, probably no radio.

"You hear that?" said Champ Bear.

"Long as I remember. The rains, been coming down"

"Follow that singing!" commanded Brave Heart Lion.

They followed the source of the singing and as it kept going. The singing voice sounded beautiful yet saddening. As if it was a song that people sang when it's raining outside and feeling depressed.

"Clouds of mystery pouring confusion on the ground. Good men through the ages. Trying to find a sun"

As they followed the source, it got louder the closer they've got to the sound. The voice of the singer sounded male. That was until they located the source of the singing and they found the boy but the sight of him wasn't what they expected to see. They were a mere twelve feet away from him as he was laying on his back against a tall and huge tree that looked to be very strong and the tree trunk had to be at least thick and wide as a fully grown elephant's torso.

The boy looked stoic in the face with no emotion whatsoever upon his face. It was as if he was a robot programmed with no emotion on his face, no emotion to express, simulate or to show. He was looking down at the ground.

"And I wonder, still I wonder. Who'll stop the rain"

"He doesn't look very happy." said Cheer Bear noticing.

"How do we get his attention?" said Champ Bear. "Any ideas?"

"Why don't you ask me?" said the boy.

They saw he looked right up at them and the boy still had the stoic expression upon his face that shown no emotion at all. The boy appeared to be not the least surprised that they arrived. He had quite a deep voice for a boy his age, he sounded American and teenage like but his appearance all said he was eleven years of age. But the sight of his appearance looked as though he was just as Lotsa Heart Elephant told them on the way there. He was handsome and beautiful for someone his age.

"Hello, what brings you out here all alone?" asked Champ Bear.

He remained silent and didn't speak. They had no idea if he was stoic this way as a defense mechanism for something deeper like if he was the shy type or if he was trying to hide fear. He didn't respond. But they saw he had hair like Brave Heart Lion's mane.

"We've heard you might be going through a hard time with something. We're here to help." said Brave Heart Lion.

He looked away as if giving them the cold shoulder, still not responding to them verbally or at all. They knew that what ever the problem is he's facing. It had to be something much more serious than they suspected. Cheer Bear raised a hand to signal them to let her give it a shot to get the boy to talk or to respond to them. Cheer Bear approached him which he looked to see her. The boy's expression shown a hint of fading which they couldn't tell by looking at him.

The boy's heart was starting to pound from the sight of Cheer Bear as she had shown to have them bangs from her hair and a ponytail. She still worn a yellow jacket with short puffy sleeves and a yellow bracelet on her left wrist. The boy had given her his attention.

"Maybe it would help if we knew your name?" asked Cheer Bear.

"Murphy." the boy said finally responding as he introduced himself.

They all immediately suspected that it's possible that Murphy would respond to a woman or felt more comfortable around a woman since Cheer Bear was the first to get him to respond to them.

"Murphy, why are you out here alone?" asked Lotsa Heart Elephant.

"No comment." said Murphy.

"Why won't you talk about your problems? When a child has a problem. It's better to talk about them than to keep it inside." said Love-a-Lot Bear trying to inject some love into him.

There was a pause of silence before Murphy spoke again.

"I'd like to be alone." said Murphy sadly looking down at the ground again.

Their smiles turned to an expression of worry and concern for Murphy. Cheer Bear approached him to get closer and stood next to him to his left, placing a hand on his left shoulder to reassure him or to show a sign of trust. To Murphy, her hand felt warm and he looked up at her. She smiled back at him, but he shown to be blushing at the sight of her when they've faced each other this closely, which made him look away as if to hide his shyness.

"We're not going to hurt you and we're not going to bite. We're the Care Bears. We turn sad children into happy children." reassured Cheer Bear.

"Think of us coming to help you is like a sign." Champ Bear told him.

"What sort of sign?" asked Murphy.

"That maybe the big man upstairs sent us to come help you when you couldn't find help from anyone else." answered Champ Bear.

Murphy looked to face Champ Bear and the expression in his eyes looked as though they shown a warning as if a rise in anger was coming from inside him.

"I doubt it." said Murphy. "You probably had something that alerted you. Do you have any devices that alert you to children that are saddened or troubled?"

"We have a caring meter and there's a bell inside it that tolls when ever a child is saddened or troubled. It has these hearts that in three colored zones. There's the green zone, yellow zone and the red zone." explained Champ Bear.

"Than it was your caring meter that alerted you. Not someone. Just a mechanical device that detects the levels of positive and negative emotions present in others, be it on earth, in your home where you reside in or anywhere else. Simple mechanical engineering made by your hands. You did that." said Murphy dismissing Champ Bear's belief in someone from above sending them to him.

"That's only part of how we find out when a child, someone or anyone is feeling saddened or troubled. Sometimes a little faith can get anyone far ahead." said Tenderheart Bear.

"This conversation is over." said Murphy now wanting to end the conversation.

"Murphy, we're only trying to help. Did you lose your faith in something? Maybe a little love could help you open up and confessing to the big guy could maybe do some good." asked Tenderheart Bear with a suggestion.

"DROP IT!" shouted Murphy.

The saw him look as though Murphy was losing his patience or his temper with them. They were starting to think that his problem was more deep rooted but Murphy's face of anger turned to shock and remorse as if he couldn't believe he shouted at them.

"I think he's upset." said Tenderheart Bear looking concerned with him.

But just before Murphy could apologize to them. They heard a laugh but not just any laugh. They heard something that sounded like a creepy, eerie, demonic clown like laughter that sounded like the laughter of a madman who escaped from a mental health institution. Murphy felt a great amount of fear and alarm while his face still shown no emotion or tried to at this point.

"You guys hear that?" said Brave Heart Lion.

They heard the laughter again, sounding like it was getting closer or it was just hanging around. That's when Cheer Bear was met with a hug from Murphy who shown to be visibly shaken.

"Take me with you, now." said Murphy trying to remain calm.

"Guys, I think Murphy scared." said Lotsa Heart Elephant.

"Please take me with you. Right now, it's much safer anywhere that's not here." said Murphy starting to breathe in and out with slight panic. "Stay out of the dark. Stay out of the dark. Stay out of the dark."

They heard the scary laughter coming closer or sounding like it was getting closer but than Murphy got up and once standing on his feet, they realized just how tall he was for a kid his age and he leaned to the right side and that's when he just thrown up onto the ground as if he had eaten something that didn't agree with him. It took him no less than thirty seconds to stop vomiting.

"Ewwww." they all said in disgusted unison.

"Take him to Care-a-Lot with us. Who ever that is laughing out there could be dangerous." instructed Love-a-Lot Bear.

"Listen to her, please." said Murphy sounding desperate.

Murphy almost made a run for it but stopped as he fell over onto the ground. They rushed over to him and he appeared to be looking dizzy, his face was a bit pale and his vision was showing his dizziness. His stomach rumbled as if hungry or sick.

"He needs our help, now. Take him to Care-a-Lot with us and we'll try to see what's going on with him later." said Cheer Bear.

"Right." they all said in unison.

They all gathered to take hold of Murphy and carried him off to the Rainbow Roller car. They made sure he was secured safely in the seat belts and they all got into the seats, buckled up, and their cars floated up into the air as they made their way back to Care-a-Lot. But what they heard as they made their way back was that same scary, creepy, eerie demonic clown like laughter but they didn't see who was laughing or where the laughter came from. All they knew was they had to get Murphy to Care-a-Lot to receive some medical attention as he lost consciousness.
