After a good night sleep. Murphy and everyone in Care-a-Lot seemed to be wondering what Murphy meant by the name of the hospital he mentioned. The only thing Murphy told them was it had to be a memory that he forgotten about but the memory came back like it was a psychic vision.
They made sure that Murphy was okay before he went to bed. Cheer Bear, Champ Bear and Brave Heart Lion volunteered to watch out for Murphy while he slept but they slept next to him as they figured it would be a safe idea to make sure he was okay during the night and in the morning. They last saw Murphy was still asleep in the bright, sunny morning in Care-a-Lot.
"How did you think Murphy slept?" asked Tenderheart Bear.
"He appeared to have slept like a baby during the night." answered Cheer Bear.
"I woke up with him holding me in his arms. I'll admit, he's a cuddler." Brave Heart Lion admitted.
"Is he still asleep?" asked Champ Bear.
"Last time we saw him, we awoke but he was still asleep. We thought we could let him sleep a little longer." said Brave Heart Lion.
That's when they heard what sounded like oldies rock and roll music beginning to play nearby and they stopped. They wondered if the music was being played on a radio nearby and Grumpy Bear just shown up and he was hearing the musical tune and he was letting out a groan.
"Anyone playing the radio right now?" asked Grumpy Bear.
"Not us." said Tenderheart Bear, Cheer Bear, Brave Heart Lion and Champ Bear in unison.
"Whoever is playing this music. I may not like loud music but I kind of like this one." said Grumpy Bear finding it hard to admit it.
They followed the sound of the music and it didn't take them long till they saw other care bears who also heard the music playing but they weren't bothered by the music, some of them even danced to the music. It didn't take long for them to find the source of the music.
There, near the Caring Meter, they saw Murphy was dancing to the music that played as he found a portable radio that was playing on the golden oldies station as he was singing and dancing to the music that played and they discovered he didn't just sing country music but he sure was a good singer to even oldies rock and roll. He'd hum to the music a bit before singing out to the words and he had an incredible voice.
"Little bitty pretty one. Come on and talk-a to me-e-e-e. Lovey dovey lovey one. Come sit down on my knee-e-e-e"
They've all looked on with impressed grins as Murphy shown to be a good dancer and a good singer and the music was sounding like beautiful rock and roll music from the fifties decade as he would vocalize his voice at such a beautiful tone that he kept singing like he was a rock and roll star.
"Tell you a story. Happened long time ago-o-o-o. A-little bitty pretty one. I've been watchin' you gro-o-o-ow"
"Yeah Murphy! Sing it like Songfellow Strum!" cheered Cheer Bear.
He vocalized beautifully but once he heard Cheer Bear was when he saw that he had been spotted. He immediately stopped singing and dancing and turned the radio off, making the music stop abruptly. He was stoic in the face again but blushing.
"That wasn't me. I wasn't singing and dancing to the music of the radio." lied Murphy appearing embarrassed.
"Oh come on, Murphy. There's nothing to be ashamed of here. That was incredible." reassured Tenderheart Bear. "I do wonder where you learned to sing like that."
"Did someone teach you?" asked Cheer Bear.
Murphy was silent for a moment before he even spoke again. He was hesitant to say who taught him or how he learned at first. But once Cheer Bear asked him. He relented.
"The car radio was always playing the good music. I like the good music. That, and the person who taught me was..." paused Murphy his face going back to being stoic. "Doesn't matter."
"Who was it?" asked Brave Heart Lion.
"Forget it." said Murphy missing the question. "Focus on the memory that came back to my head. What I saw in the regained memory of that hospital. I remember something about it."
"Judging by what you told us. This memorial hospital has been abandoned for unknown reasons. But you saw that some information you're wanting to know is still there. Maybe something that could help you regain more of your memory you've forgotten about." said Tenderheart Bear as he remembered what was explained last night.
"Affirmative. Just drop me off there and I'll go in alone." instructed Murphy.
"Can't do that." said Tenderheart Bear.
"I'll just go in there alone. No need to risk anymore people." argued Murphy.
"Murphy, wait a minute. We know your trying to be brave and noble but we can't just drop you off in there alone. Something dangerous could happen in there and you could get hurt." said Brave Heart Lion showing compassion.
"Right now, we're responsible for you. We're going to help you and do everything in our power to do so. You don't have to face this all by yourself. You have us to help take some of the weight off your back." said Cheer Bear agreeing with Brave Heart Lion.
Murphy let out a sigh and knew that arguing with them would do no good for him or anyone. When ever someone would tell him anything, he knew he was being stubborn but for some reason. When Cheer Bear was the one to speak, instruct or suggest anything, he felt like he had to listen and obey. He didn't know why ether.
"Okay." Murphy relented. "But I need to lead the way to the place because I'm the only one who knows where it is. That, and I'm too young to drive one of them vehicles you've got on you and I'm pretty sure that it's not like the cars humans drive like a Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder."
"That's a car, right?" asked Tenderheart Bear.
"Big time. And a classic forever since the sixties. Always a good car when it's cherry red." said Murphy popping his neck. "What a car. Hot, hot!"
Murphy popped his neck once again, even cracked his knuckles which the friendly little bears were surprised he could do this. They never seen him show off before till they saw him singing and dancing to fifties rock and roll music.
"Doesn't that hurt?" asked Grumpy Bear worriedly.
"Nope. I wouldn't do it if you've never done it before." warned Murphy.
"You should eat first." advised Love-a-Lot Bear.
"I actually given him breakfast already." announced Treat Heart Pig. "Waffles with syrup and a tall glass of orange juice."
"Treat Heart Pig is quite the cook. I haven't had home-cooking like that since..." Murphy paused again till he shook his head. "Is there a bathroom anywhere? I got to use it."
"I'll take him to it." Brave Heart Lion volunteered.
Brave Heart Lion came over to Murphy and took hold of his hand as he led the way to the nearest bathroom. Murphy blushed from the fact that Brave Heart Lion took hold of his hand like a parent holding the hand of their child. They knew that it was going to be quite a mission for today as they knew that they had to head out to this hospital that Murphy mentioned in the recovered memory from last night. But there was something on the Care Bears minds as they wondered who was this person that Murphy would almost mention but dismissed afterwards along with who or how did he learn to sing and dance as they knew he didn't just learn it on his own. But more importantly, what would they find at this abandoned hospital that they were headed to?
