"Rei. I can't believe it's you, my baby girl. I missed you more than anyone, how is everything?" A slender, violet ,eyed pale dark haired woman approached Rei, carresing her hair. The woman was a spitting image of herself, it only took her a second , to realise it was her mother.
"Mama. " At that moment when Rei was about to hug her mother, she then woke up.
"Just a dream, huh." Rei sighed as she got out of bed, walking towards the photo frame of herself as a newborn baby and her mother holding her, kissing her face.
"Oh Mama, you were so beautiful." A single tear shed down her pale cheeks. Rei walked towards her elderly grandfather.
"Good morning, Rei." The moustached man greeted his granddaughter.
"Grandpa, I had a dream about Mama last night, that she came to me and was caressing my hair." The blacked haired girl said to her grandpa.
"Oh Rei, I sometimes dream about her too, Risa was my precious daughter , she was every way like you. Ever since you were five years old and came to the shrine to live with me, it felt like and still, that I was raising Risa again. She was a beautiful and intelligent young woman just like you. " The elderly man frowned just before he continued.
" When you were born, she was happier than any other woman could be. She was going through a hard time, your grandmother, her mother had just passed and your father was becoming more and more absent everyday. As soon as she held you , she was instantly in love and cried tears of happiness. I was there that day, supporting her and taking photos.
"You were a month early and slightly premature, she was extremely worried but as soon as she saw her beautiful and healthy baby girl she became the best mother in the world." The man started to reminisce.
At that point, Rei's violet eyes were in tears, she was a reserved person and would hardly cry in front of others but she just couldn't help herself.
"Oh Grandpa!" Rei hugged her grandpa.
"The only thing I have left of her are photos, beautiful memories and my pendant, the most precious things I own." Her violet eyes continued to shed tears.
Eventually the tears stopped shedding and Rei went to meet her Senshi friends at "Fruit Parlour Crown." . As she arrived , her friends noticed something was up.
"Rei-Chan, what's the matter?" Usagi asked, noticing the sorrow in her friend's eyes.
"Oh well, I guess I've never told you guys but it's about my mother." The black haired girl frowned , noticing the blonde's worries.
"What about her ?" Ami asked.
"Well last night, I dreamt that she was speaking to me. She passed away when I was only five years old." Rei frowned.
"Oh, Rei-Chan! I'm so sorry." Minako hugged the black haired girl.
" It's fine Mina-Chan." Rei said, wrapping her arms around the blonde with the red ribbon.
"What was your mother like? I feel you Rei, I lost my parents too when I was eight, I still dream about them as well. " The green eyed -brunette Makoto smiled.
"Well her name was Hino Risa, she was beautiful, intelligent, caring , nurturing and the best mother in the world. My father took her for granted, he always put his politics before his family, the reason why I despise men. When I was born, he cared but not really, my grandpa would tell me when I was baby that my mother hardly got any sleep because my father would never help out. When Mama was dying, my father never visited her, or cared to notice how sick she was,when she passed he only cared. " Rei sighed.
"Oh Rei-Chan, I'm so sorry." Ami frowned.
"Your father sounds like a self centred bastard. I don't get along with my Mama but she at least cares about me and loves me, I'm so sorry Rei. You deserve so much better." Minako hugged Rei again.
"Could we see a photo of your mother, if you have any?" Usagi asked.
"Yeah sure, at my place. See the pendant I'm wearing, that was hers , she got it as a wedding gift from her mother, my late grandmother." Rei smiled at the pigtailed blond.
Eventually Rei brought her friends back to the shrine, to show them photos. She pulled out a box and placed it in front of her friends.
"Here! Take a look. " She spoke softly.
"Wow Rei-Chan, she's the spitting image of you!" Ami smiled.
"I know." Rei beamed at the short blue haired girl.
"Look how cute you were , Rei-Chan!Also your mother was beautiful on her wedding day, wonder what you will look like." Usagi shouted, slightly teasing Rei looking at a photo of three year old Rei and Risa's wedding photo .
"Thank you, Usagi-Chan but mind your own business, I'm not getting married !" Rei groaned, even though she loved Usagi, even when she made those comments.
"What a beautiful baby you were!" Makoto smiled looking at a photo of baby Rei with her mother.
"Thank you, Mako-Chan." Rei sighed.
"Hey Rei, after everyone leaves can I speak to you in private?" Minako asked nervously.
"Um, sure." Rei awkwardly replied.
"Well I guess , it's time to go home and study now." Ami said, looking at the time.
"Please don't mention studying." Usagi blushed. "But I guess we'll leave now, since Minako-Chan wants to speak to you." The blue eyed bun head got up along with the short blue haired girl.
"See ya, Rei-Chan, Minako-Chan!" Makoto continued as her,Usagi and Ami left.
"So Mina, what do you want to talk about?" Rei asked the blue eyed blonde.
"Well Rei, I love you and you're the most strong beautiful young woman I know besides Usagi. You lost your mother who loved more than anyone at such a young age, you're sailor mars too. You're beautiful, intelligent , strong and I love you." Minako explained.
"Mina- I love you." At that moment , Rei grabbed Minako's long blonde hair and started to kiss her. It didn't take too long but the blonde grabbed Rei's face and continued kissing.
"I love you Rei, let's keep this a secret okay." Minako softly spoke.
"I agree. I love you Mina, if Mama was still here she would love you." The two hugged.
