Chapter 22:
I was walking through the Presidium, when all hell broke loose. Cerberus soldiers repelled in, smashing through windows. Shooting up the area without a care about who might get injured. I threw down a shelving unit, moving it in front of a desk so that I could hide behind it without being seen through the front of it. There were too many- even I knew that- and I knew I would die if I tried to stand against them.
I waited, hearing screams and gunshots. The distinct sounds of bodies hitting the floor. When it finally quieted, I braved a peek. I was alone... surrounded by many dead bodies. I swallowed hard, reminding myself that I wouldn't have been able to do anything for them. Only die, myself.
Slowly, I slid out of my hidey-hole, going over to the next office- the Executor's. He and his two guards were dead. Looking out the window, I saw a chair move on its own. Tapping into my electricity-sensing power, I saw a salarian outlined by cloaking tech.
Footsteps pounded nearby, coming closer and closer. I hid behind the Executor's desk, pressing against his body to tuck in a bit more.
Voices- Shepard's. Another man and a woman, but I couldn't place who they were. The woman sounded robotic, and the man had an accent. He smelled like warm clothes fresh out of the dryer and hot coco. She smelled like grass and sunshine.
The window shattered before I could make myself known, and Shepard jumped, shouting for someone to stand down. The other two ran down the stairs after him.
I poked my head out, making my way slowly to the window to see what was going on. A man with a katana was eyeing the lot of them- salarian included.
Soft enough for a human to have missed it at this distance, Shepard asked the salarian. "Are you alright, Councilor?"
My eyes narrowed, a fresh take on the situation forming. That man was trying to kill the Councilor. I couldn't let that happen. Then, appearing like an avenging angel, Thane dropped from the ceiling, getting into melee with the man. He knocked the man to his back on the ground, turning to talk to Shepard. The man twitched, and I knew Thane wouldn't react quick enough.
Genesis and I both at the forefront, we shifted and launched ourselves at the man as he got to his feet, pinning him to the ground and biting deep into his shoulder. Snarling horrifically loud, the sound of it echoing many times around the space.
He threw us across the room with biotics, and we took a large chunk of flesh with us, causing him to yell out in pain. He glared at us as we stood tall, giving ourselves a shake before attacking again. He managed to keep us at bay- barely- by using his biotics, with us snapping and swiping at him. We were fully intending to slaughter him like a rabbit. His guard went down for a moment, just long enough for us to sneak in there and clench our jaws around his neck. But it came at a cost. His sword impaled us to the hilt. The pain only spurred us on, and we shook my head viciously, ripping his throat to shreds.
We managed to take a few steps, before we collapsed, rolling onto our side. Breathing heavy, our chest tight.
Worth it... Genesis murmured in my mind, peace filling me from her end.
Definitely.
...
I woke up in a white room. Blinking against the glare of the light, I looked around. Thane sat on a chair, slumped over on the bed. Sound asleep. I reached out and touched his head gently.
He shot up, wide awake in seconds. "You're awake."
"I am." I nodded, smiling at him. "You're okay."
"That was..." He shook his head. "You could have died."
"It would have been worth it." My voice was strong, firm. "I would die for any of you three. And I would never regret the decision."
He leaned forward, pressing his mouth against mine for a deep kiss. All of his emotions hitting me at once, like a freighter. Scared and relieved, powerful enough to knock the breath from my lungs.
The door opened, and rain and old books hit my nose. I held out a hand, and Garrus rushed into the room, taking it.
"C-Sec finally got the last of Cerberus off the station." He informed us, stroking the back of my hand. "I came as soon as I could, but Shepard needed me to help."
"Relax." I smiled up at him.
He glared at me. "Relax? Relax? You almost died! I don't want to ever go through that again!"
"Garrus." I murmured.
He instantly understood and bent to kiss the top of Thane's head. He would have to go through it again. Because Thane didn't have much longer.
"How long was I out?"
"A day and a half, about."
I nodded. Yeah, that seemed about right. "When can I go home?"
"You're still in recovery. You-"
"Will heal quicker than anyone here, because I'm a wolf." I reminded him. "I'm sure that, by the end of the day, the doctor will be talking about discharging me."
And I was right. I went home a few hours later, since I was conscious again.
...
Garrus left that night with Shepard and crew. The two with him and been James and EDI. He'd explained EDI was an AI, a robot. He and Thane were very curious about how EDI had had a scent like an organic creature. I didn't have an explanation.
The days dragged by. During them, and sometimes the nights too, I often had to put an oxygen mask over Thane's mouth and nose. His attacks were coming more and more frequently.
Finally, after another month and a half, I received the news. Both the salarians and the hanar were in trial runs. A team of both parties were coming to the Citadel to work with me, since I'd funded both.
"Thane..." I began hesitantly.
He looked over at me. "What is it?"
"Don't be mad." Never start a talk off with this. I was blowing it, and I hadn't even gotten around to the topic.
A frown, concerned.
"I funded two different research projects. For Kepral's Syndrome." That caught his attention, though he was wary. I felt the spark of hope through the bond. "Both of them got back to me, finally. They're running clinical trials. And, because I gave them... a lot of money, they are sending a team, each, to the Citadel. For you." I waited, but he didn't say anything. "If... you want to... I mean."
"You... did this for me?"
"And Kolyat." I nodded. "Even if it's not in time for you, he'll be going through this, too. I wanted to help."
He grasped my hand, bringing it to his lips. "Thank you."
"They'll be here by the end of the week." I told him. "We'll go over their findings, and you can decide which one you want to try first."
...
That week was the longest in the history of time. Finally, finally, it was over. And we were having the meetings in our apartment. Pouring over every single detail, leaving no question unanswered.
When they were finished and both gone, I turned to him. "I'll leave you to decide what-"
He reached out from where he was sitting, grasping the hem of my shirt and tugging me to him. Wrapping an arm around me as he rested his head against my side.
"Stay. I want your input."
"Okay." I brushed my fingertips over the top of his head, drawing nonsense patterns.
We discussed the pros and cons of each, both of us pointing out things the other missed.
"That settles it, then." I nodded. "We'll go with the salarians."
"Thank you, for this. I cannot put into words how much this means. Even if it does not help me, it may help Kolyat in the future. I... Thank you."
I dropped a kiss atop his head. "I exist for you and Garrus." A soft murmur. "I exist for you. Anything I can do for you, I will."
...
He started the trials in the next few days. The weeks turned to months and, before I knew it, four months had passed. And we'd just gotten word from Garrus that the Normandy was being ordered into drydock for repairs by Admiral Hackett. He would be back for a while, because the order was for a week and a half.
Both of us were thrilled- for more than one reason. Thane couldn't wait for him to know how the trials were going.
He hadn't had an attack since it had started. He hadn't had to fight for breath after a week of it. He hadn't felt weak after two. He was getting stronger and stronger, his body accepting the treatment beautifully. Every few weeks, the doctor reassessed him for how long he had. And it went up every time.
Tonight, Thane had booked a hotel for a few nights for Kolyat. To get him out of the apartment for a bit. Give us some time together with Garrus.
Who walked through the door to find me sitting on my heels, completely bare, just inside the living room. The leash firmly attached to the collar.
Which was a strange sight, simply because Thane hadn't been up to anything physical for months, before the trials.
"What..." He looked around, eyes landing on the drell as he walked out of our bedroom.
"Our good girl did something amazing." He began, running fingers through my hair while diving into it. Explaining everything.
The turian looked like he'd seen a ghost. "You... Are you going to be okay?"
He nodded. "I am. Thanks to our good girl."
He walked up to the drell, kissing him passionately. I watched, the heat building to an inferno in my belly. They both looked down at me.
"Such a good girl." Garrus cooed.
"Good enough to deserve a reward." Thane murmured.
Garrus crouched in front of me, trailing his talons down my soft skin to my core, slipping his fingers inside. I lowered my eyes, baring my neck to him.
"What do you want tonight, sweet girl?" Fingers pumping in and out.
"I want to please you." I purred, struggling not to arch my back.
"What do you want?" Thane asked.
"It would please me to please you." I clarified. "I exist to please you."
There was a pause, Garrus stilling. The leash gently tugged me, signaling to look up at the drell.
"You said that before. Existing for me. For us." He shook his head. "I didn't realize you actually felt that way."
Had I said something wrong? He didn't look happy. Neither of them did. Their eyes glazed over, and I waited patiently, curious about what they were talking about to each other.
"It would please us..." Hands running through my hair, both of them doing it now. "if we pleased you tonight."
"What do you want?" Garrus echoed the earlier question.
I tilted my head, confused. Maybe I hadn't been clear enough. "I want you to use me. However you wish. I want to be a good girl for you."
Again, they spoke silently to each other.
"So... If we wanted to fuck you until the morning?"
I resisted the urge to squirm. "I would like that."
"If we denied you completion?" Thane asked.
"I would endure it, for you."
"If we spanked you until you couldn't sit?" The turian again.
"I would think about it every time I sat."
"And if all we did was shock you repeatedly all through the night?"
The memory of what the drell was talking about nearly made me swoon. "I would revel in it."
He nodded, tugging on the leash gently, and I crawled where he led. The couch.
"Sit." He pointed to the cushion in the middle.
I obeyed, curious, sitting on my heels.
"Touch yourself for us." He ordered, undoing his pants.
Garrus mirroring his movements.
I stroked the bud between my legs, slipping two fingers inside myself. Losing myself under their hungry gazes. Just as I was about to reach peak, Thane's voice spoke over my gasps and moans.
"Stop."
Immediately, I stilled. I wanted to continue, but I ached for them.
"On your back, your legs up against the back of the couch."
I did as I was told, my head hanging off the edge of the couch. At just the right height for them to use my throat. They took turns, switching before they could finish. After a few times, Garrus pressed deeper, cutting off my air. Staying still where he was. I made myself relax, knowing he wouldn't hurt me. When they swapped, Thane did it, as well. Both waiting until I was about to pass out, before they retreated. The lack of oxygen only added to the pleasure of the experience, and I loved it.
The leash was tugged on again, and I moved to sit on my heels, waiting expectantly for their next order.
"Kneel."
Thane pointed at the floor just in front of the couch. I rushed to obey.
Garrus's hands slid between my thighs, pushing my legs apart. His face buried against my core, and I sucked in a sharp breath. The things he did with his tongue... I would never get over how amazing it felt, whenever he did anything. When he parted, he flicked my bud a few times, and it was a struggle not to cry out. To keep as still as I could.
The drell took his place, nipping at the bud as he slid his fused fingers inside me. Once again, I was brought to the precipice, but wasn't allowed to fall over.
My legs were guided to spread further apart, and I wondered how much more I could go before it was considered a split.
"Relax." The command was soft, but with no less authority than the others.
I let my body relax, easing down against the cushions until I was in the most comfortable position I could find.
"Good girl."
I shivered.
After a few moments of tense waiting, I was rewarded with a spark. Electricity shot through me from my bud, a scream ripping from me as I fell over the peak. My back bowed, my head thrown back, I came over and over and over. And over. All without them giving me what I wanted most- them, inside me.
"That's a good girl." Garrus praised as the electricity left me, and I slumped against the cushions.
"Our good, sweet girl." Thane murmured.
A quiet whine left me.
"What is it?" A hand stroked my ass.
"Please." I whimpered.
"What? What do you want?" Amused, talons digging into my flesh, before rearing back and smacking me. Hard.
"You." I moaned. "I want you."
"How do you want us?"
"Inside. Please."
"Inside where?" Thane asked as Garrus spanked me again.
"Fuck me!" I cried out. "Please! Fuck me!"
The leash was jerked harshly, and I was pulled off the couch, onto my hands and knees.
"Come."
I was led to the bedroom. Told to get up on the bed. Thane laid down in the center and beckoned me over. I crawled on top of him, and Garrus guided me to lay back on the drell. He hovered over me, both of them rubbing against my core. My ache only grew. I wanted them so badly.
They both speared me in one swift movement, a scream escaping me. Time dragged on, where they fucked me until I was close, then paused. Waiting for me to come down from the high, before starting back up. Finally, I couldn't take it anymore, and I let out whimper after whimper, unable to keep myself quiet.
"Do you want to cum?" Thane asked softly.
"I do! I do!" I wailed.
"Why would we give you that?"
All I could manage was a whine. There was nothing I could say to that.
Their chuckles reached my ears moments before the electricity returned. I flew up into a sitting position, my body wrapping around the turian as a string of incoherent words left me. I was spasming uncontrollably, the force of my fall from the peak devastating me.
Still, the onslaught continued. Between their thrusts and the sparks, I was destroyed. I would never be the same again.
"Do you want us to stop?" Thane asked quietly.
"No!" I screamed. "Never! Oh, goddess, never! Fuck me harder!" I demanded, clinging to Garrus like an octopus.
They obliged, and that's how the rest of the night went. Between the two overwhelming sensations, I was not given a moment's rest, my body put to the test many times over. Until I couldn't see straight. Until I was a limp mess, unable to move. And even then, they didn't stop. Every time I passed out, they would rouse me and pick up where they'd left off.
And not once did I say no.
