It took them all day but they were finally done unloading everything, both the woman and the soldiers that were with her just told them to go away unless they were considered volunteers and forced to help carry everything back to Noxus.

"Man what a complete waste of time, they could have at least paid us," Dust said to himself

"Hey at least it wasn't as bad as last time," Kazuma said to him as they walked away from the ship and soldiers

"Why what happened last time?" Jaune asked them

"Oh, they said that since we were on the ship, we were considered mercenaries or volunteers so we had to join the war," Kazuma said to Jaune as he looked at the sky while remembering those days

'Yeah they didn't accept no for an answer, luckily for us, we didn't have to fight, we just had to walk ahead and the locals did the rest" Dust added

"So Jaune any idea where that girl of yours is?" Kazuma askedJaune

"Yeah a funny thing about that you see, the obes that took her said that they were taking her to the capital so she could be put on trial," Jaubne said to Kazuma who was already putting to and two together

"Waite" Dust began only for Kazuma to interrupt him

"Hold on we might be wrong, so let's hear him say it," Kazuma said to Dust as the two of them looked at Jaune hoping that they were wrong

"The capital of Noxus" Jaune said to them with a small amount of hesitation

"Greate so we're going to have to break into another castle," Kazuma said to himself while Dust only whistles to himself

"Oka, but this time were robbing the place, it's not fair that Jaune gets his girl out of this and I don't get anything" Dut added

"Hey she's not my girl," Jaune said to Dust

'Right" Kazuma said to Jaune but the tone of his voice said that he didn't believe Jaune

Back on the ship, the captain of the Noxus army watched the three barbarians walking away, and smirked they weren't anything like the rumors said.

It wasn't a surprise after all the people in that town weren't anything like the rest of the people that lived in Ionia.

The woman's eyes moved slightly as she sensed someone approaching and she didn't react when the assassin she sent to spy on the three barbarians returned

"So what did you find out," she asked the spy

"They are headed to Noxus, they plan on freeing Riven," the assassin said to her.

She smirked when she heard that, maybe she should have said to them that their service to Noxus wasn't done and made up a reason for them to follow the army back.

It would make their journey a lot easier, after all, if they were going to get themselves killed then they might as well do it for a good reason, rather than throwing their lives away in a failed attempt to save a traitor.

Still, she decided that it was better to let the three of them go, maybe if they were lucky they would prove themselves to be worth keeping alive and would be offered a chance to join the empire or they would just be killed, either way, they wouldn't be her problem.

"So Jaune what are you planning on doing after we find your girl?" Dust asked Jaune as they walked, it had been a week since they had left the ship and were now traveling through Noxus territory

"She's not my girl" Jaune protested but gave up in trying to convince his friends that he and Riven weren't anything but friends

"I don't know, maybe she can come with us," Jaune said to them and he immediately noticed how both Kazuma and Dust became silent.

Jaune wanted to ask the pair why they were reacting so strangely but before he could say anything, they heard children screaming.

Kazuma and Dust reached for their weapons, they had traveled the world long enough to know that there were monsters that copied the voices of children so that they could lure people to them.

They had fallen into a trap like that once and it had only been a combination of dumb luck and experience that allowed them to come out of the situation alive.

Jaune who hadn't been with them back then didn't have those experiences, however, ran without thinking towards the direction from where the screams were coming from and he found a little girl being carried away by the current of a river.

Without thinking he immediately jumped into the water and began to swim toward the girl.

The combination of the weight of his armor, along with the girl's weight and the strong current of the river nearly made him drown but in the end, he succeeded in saving the girl.

As he gasped for air, he noticed that the girl had stopped breathing, so he was forced to give her mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.

The girl soon began to cough out water and she weakly opened her eyes, Jaune looked around and found that Kazuma and Dust were running towards him with another little girl at their side.

Jaune felt a weight being lifted off his shoulders, he had been afraid that he had been separated from them again, Kazuma and Dust weren't from his world or this one, but before they had been separated they had watched out for him as best as they could.

Jaune closed his eyes and began to let his soul connect to the girl's soul, he began to strengthen her will to live and that began to spread to the rest of her.

he could feel her body forcing the water in her lungs out and she soon was back at her full strength again.

'So what happened?" Kazuma asked the girl that was with him

"We were playing and then we chased after a fairy" the girl answered him

"She burned me when I fell in the river, but it wasn't her fault" the girl that Jaune had rescued added as the girl that stood next to Kazumas side lowered her head

"It just comes out, I don't know why but it just comes out," the girl said to them

'That explains the magic we sensed" Dust said as he looked around them

"What?" Jaune asked them

"This one has magic, but she doesn't know how to control it Kazuma said to Jaune as he paced a hand on the girl's head

"Tell me if I'm wrong"

'The two of you were playing, she fell in the river ad you tried to pull her out, and then your hand became hot or fire came out and one or both of you let go" he said to the girls who nodded

"Come on let's tell your parents what happened, don't worry I'll do the talking," Kazuma said to the girls as he looked at the girl next to him

"Now which way is your house?' he asked her and the girl weakly pointed them towards the direction of her house.

They soon found themselves standing in front of a wooden house and after they knocked on it a blond woman answered the door.

She was an older version of the girl that Jaune had saved and when she saw that the three of them had the girls with them she medal called for her husband.

"What going on?' she asked them as the sound of footsteps came closer.

Dust began to explain what had happened but didn't bother to tell her who they were, the woman gasped and pulled both girls into a tight hug as a man appeared behind her.

"Good you're here," Kazuma said to the man as he asked them if they would allow him to explain what he knew

Both the woman and man agreed, but when they offered for the three of them to sit in the living room Kazuma said no.

"Can you girls go to your room?" Kazuma said to the girls before he turned to look at their parents.

Jaune noticed that neither of them liked that Kazuma had just ordered their kids to go away in their own house, but if Kazuma noticed this he didn't seem to care.

'I'll cut to the point, the one that wasn't wet has magic, but she can't control her powers"

"You need to help her train with them, I don't mean teach her to cast spells, just take her somewhere far away from where people can see you and see what makes her magic react"

"From there all of you can help her control her magic so it doesn't get out of control," Kazuma said to them before he turned around and opened the door.

"Waite," the man said to them as he looked at his wife

Jaune could see the pain in their eyes and he already knew what they wanted to say
