As they walked Jaune noticed that Dust took out what looked like a small gold cube and showed it to Kazuma, who nodded at him.
"Girls listen since we are going to be traveling together if anyone asks you who we are just say that one of us is your dad and hold the hand of the one that you say is your dad," Kazuma said to the girls
"Anyway I'm Kazuma, the grouchy one is Dust and the one with the sword is Jaune," Kazuma said to the girls who didn't say anything
"...Kazuma where are we going?" Annie asked Kazuma
"We're going to look for a friend of Jaune's and maybe look for a couple of things along the way, after that we'll bring you, girls, back," Kazuma said to Annie
No one said anything after that and so they kept on walking and only stopped walking when it started t get dark, Jaune watched as both Kazuma and Dust looked at the cube before one of them went to explore the area around them, with the cube.
Whenever that happened either Dust or Kazuma would start a fire and they would set camp for the night.
Jaune and the girls didn't bother to say anything and so they kept to themselves and only looked at their surroundings in case something interesting caught their eyes.
When the area they were walking on, had too many rocks- was covered in holes or was just too difficult to walk on they would take turns carrying the girls then one day things began to change.
"Jaune, we let you rest long enough, here take this and go see if it reacts to anything," Dust said to Jaune as he placed the cube in his hand
"Look, the thing can find magic crystals, forget about the mane of the things the point is they're magic"
"Now we don't have any tools to dig for them, so don't bother digging anymore than what you can dig with your hands, if you find any the box opens by itself and put the crystal in it"
"Then just come back," Dust said to Jaune
Jaune didn't say anything, if he was honest he was curious about what Kazuma and Dust had been up to all of this time so he didn't mind doing this.
So he lifted the cube just as Kazuma and Dust di and he began to walk in the direction that it glowed brightest.
"Hey aren't you forgetting someone," Kazuma said to him as Daysi ran up to Jaune

As Jaune and Daysi walked away Kazuma turned his attention to Annie who sat alone next to the fire, holding a stuffed bear, the girl never let go of the thing, and neither he nor Dust were going to take it away from her.
They had walked for nearly two weeks now and neither of the girls had used their powers and if things stayed this way then there was a chance that they might have suppressed their magic someway
Meaning that he could just teleport back to the girl's parents' house and leave the girls there.
"Annie we're going to try some things so that we can see if your powers react," Kazuma said to Annie as sat down next to her.
"Can I see your bear?" Kazuma said to the Annie who hesitantly gave it to him
Kazuma immediately threw the bear to Dust who then threw it back to him.
"Stop!"
"Stop it you're scaring him!" Annie pleaded to them as she ran back and forth while trying to catch the bear before either Kazuma and Dust could
As she ran she suddenly tripped and bumped her nose, when she started to cry, Kazuma and Dust walked up to her, they planned to get her upset so that she could learn to control her anger, but nothing happened.
As Kazuma was about to pat Annie on the back and try to comfort her, the campfire suddenly grew until it was big enough that it threatened to burn their entire area.
"Kazuma quickly put the bear back in Annie's hands, and she immediately hugged the bear.
"Kazuma and Dust watched as the campfire died down until it was back to normal.
Kazuma placed his hand on his forehead and let out a breath, no wonder her parents thought that they couldn't help her, this wasn't the magic an amateur should have much less a child
Normally people struggle to make a fireball when they are just starting to get their powers, but Annie had just created a bonfire without trying.
"Hey sorry for doing that but we had to be sure," Kazuma said to Annie as he placed his hand on her back and began to drain her magic
"Your powers work with your feelings, so if you angry or if you get too sad- scared or anything then your magic will go crazy" he explained to her as she held on to her bear tightly
"So now that we know how your powers we might be able to help you," Kazuma said to Annie who stopped crying and turned to look at him
"So you weren't just being mean to me?" she asked him fearfully
"No," Dust said to her as he patted the ash off his clothes, Annie didn't notice it but Dust had to rush into the fire and pull their things away from it before they were burned.
It was only because of his resistance to fire that he didn't get burned or suffered any repercussions from the heat.
"It's okay, I drained some of your magic but, we need t find someone that knows how to cast spells so that they can teach you properly," Kazuma said to Annie before guiding her towards the campfire again

It had been five days since the tower of fire had appeared and Jaune was glad that they were finally reaching a town, and as he turned to wave at everyone he found that they shared his relife and excitement.
They'll needed a bath and a bed.
