A/N: The photo used is one that came with the house plans I chose. It is not night time out in the story as the photo suggests.
The ride back to the house was comfortably silent. Kurt felt at ease with Cooper, and it was likely due to the fact that Coop had expressed not feeling anything negative about him. He was determined to tell Cooper everything he wanted to know, even if he might not fully believe it. Though, he wondered how much of his story Cooper wouldn't believe. Blaine took everything in stride, and if he'd told his brother anything about his dreams since he'd started having them, it would help them. If he hadn't, he could now if he chose to do so.
Once they were back at the house, the three of them went inside, grabbed some drinks and snacks, and then headed to the outdoor sitting area to visit. It wasn't terribly hot out, and there was no sense being stuck in the house when the weather was beautiful. Cooper sat on the sofa, facing the fireplace, while Kurt and Blaine sat on the other sofa, facing the pool.
They all sipped on their water and grabbed a few pieces of fruit. Cooper was the one who finally broke the quiet.
"You wanna tell me about him now?" Cooper asked his brother.
"Some of it isn't my story to tell," Blaine started. "So, how about I start with my part, and then Kurt can fill you in with his."
Cooper nodded, and Blaine started talking, beginning with the dreams he'd had when he was nine.
"You said something to me—well, all of us—after those started," Cooper interjected before Blaine could get to the part where he and Kurt had actually met.
"I did?" Blaine said. He hadn't remembered that at all.
"You told us over breakfast the next morning," Cooper explained. "You said you heard the man you were going to marry in your dreams, though you couldn't see his face or anything. Then you went on to say how he made you feel safe and loved and you couldn't wait to find him. And the craziest thing? None of us were shocked or anything by it, like it was the most natural thing to talk about over breakfast."
"Wow," Kurt said. "Your family is amazing."
"We really are," Cooper said with a smile and a wink. "I cut you off earlier. Please continue, B."
Blaine had tears in his eyes, realizing how awesome his family had always been and how lucky he was to have them. He continued his story about how, from then on, he looked for the voice everywhere he was and how, after looking for so long, he'd gotten grumpy.
"Which is why you all thought I should come here and regroup," Blaine continued. "I got here the day before Kurt did and was just checking things over when I looked out to the beach and saw this man standing there. I was pissed because I didn't want to have to deal with anyone trespassing. Then, the skies opened up, and it started pouring. While I was pissed someone was here uninvited, I have a heart. I ran out there and pulled him back into the guest house."
"He scolded me, and then when he heard me speak, his whole demeanor changed," Kurt continued.
"How exactly did you get to be on the beach is my question?" Cooper asked.
"That is sort of a long story," Kurt said.
"Let me run to the bathroom really quick because I do not want to have to pee in the middle of it," Cooper said and then rushed off to the nearest bathroom, which he was glad was through the door right behind them.
Kurt and Blaine giggled at Cooper's antics and shared a fortifying kiss to continue their story. They got lost in the kiss, as they were prone to doing since they'd met, and only broke apart when they heard Cooper clear his throat behind them.
"Story now, sucking face later," Cooper said and sat back down on his sofa, legs crossed and the biggest smile on his face.
Both Blaine and Kurt laughed at that. Kurt leaned back into Blaine's arms, and he began telling his story, including the circumstance of him ending up on the island. Cooper was enthralled by the story and really wished he had a bag of popcorn while Kurt told him about his homeland, his life in Michigan, and his journey here so far.
"Do you think there's another me out there, too?" Cooper asked when Kurt had caught him up to where they currently were.
Blaine laughed. "Coop, you are absolutely one of a kind, and there could never be anyone else out there like you."
"I'm awesome, yes," Cooper agreed. "You know what I meant, though."
"I am not going to discount anything at this point," Kurt said before their banter could go too far. He loved watching the two interact and hoped that, when Blaine wasn't on the island, he was near Cooper.
"So, what's the plan?" Cooper asked, turning business-like. "Are you wanting to stay secluded or venture out into the world?"
"I'd like to be able to get out there if I can," Kurt replied. "I want to expand my knowledge of this world, because it seems similar to the one I lived in while I was in Houghton, and I'd love to figure out what's different about it. My concern, though, is that Blaine has described his life as very prominent. People know who he is, and so it would make sense that if I were by his side, they'd want to know about me, too. And Coop, I want as few people to know about who I really am as possible. I'm absolutely okay with your family knowing. I just don't want to tell a lot of people."
"Blaine?" Cooper asked.
"I have some ideas for what I want to do with the island," he started. "Ideas I haven't run by Kurt yet."
"Too busy getting to know him?" Cooper grinned and waggled his eyebrows.
"Something like that," Blaine blushed unashamed. "Back to the point. I want to be able to leave the island, and I don't want to leave him behind."
"Say no more," Cooper said, pulling out his phone and sending a text. The other two sat there and watched as he typed back and forth a few times before he looked at them with a sly smile. "They'll be here tomorrow."
