Aged

A/N:This is my first oneshot, so I you all like it :)

Kakashi sighed softly as he looked over his sake, watching it swirl gently as he gently tilted it from side to side. Lately he had started to truly feel his age, watching as his students children join the academy. It somewhat reminded him of when he first met them. Naruto so young and rambunctious, filled with so much vigor. He remember not thinking much of him and his claims to become hokage some day. After all he had seen plenty of young blood say the same only to die, quit once they truly realized the struggles of being a ninja, or quickly lose hope of that. Naruto surprised him time and time again with how he never gave up and kept the energy. He was so proud to seem him become Hokage, he truly earned his title with every single thing he overcame. Kakashi smirked slightly under his mask also remembering the beauty and chaos of Naruto and Hinata's wedding. He was glad that Naruto had come to realize how important Hinata's place in his life was. And admittedly he loved the calm the small purple hair woman brought to his energetic student. Kakashi truly believed that was the last puzzle piece into making Naruto the amazing ninja and now Hokage he was.

Sasuke... Thinking of that kid, he couldn't help but breath a soft sigh of relief, getting an odd look from the bartender and the woman a couple seats away from him. He was terrified of the direction Sasuke was running, he had so much potential that he was throwing away for revenge; for something so hallow in the end. There was times he regretted teaching Sasuke as he did, after watching some of the pain and destruction that came from it. And then the aftermath of him getting revenge, it didn't take much for Kakashi to figure just how empty Sasuke's victory felt to the kid. He could see it in Sasuke's eyes, let alone the actions he took. When Sasuke saw sense, it meant a lot of Kakashi. It came with a steep price and it took a long time before Konaha's trust in him was fully earned but he did it. and now Sasuke had the family he so desperately needed and wanted. Sarada was clearly his pride and joy and Sakura made a softness Sasuke needed to grow.

Thinking of Sakura, he smiled both happily and bitterly. He had doubted her so much in her youth, something he grew to regret. He forgot that she was a child and had so much growing to do, and feelings can take years to manage. He use to see how (in the opinion of a adult) the love she had for Sasuke was a stupid and obessive crush. one that only cause issues. There was times he also times he thought she only truly wanted to become a ninja because of Sasuke. He also feared the strength of her emotions would only get her killed in the future. He was so so wrong, he should have fully realized that after she showed perfect chakara control. And once again after he experience the results of her short training with Tsunade. She didn't come from the same backgrounds as Sasuke and Naruto so she in her youth didn't shine as much. She work with what she had, and she did so amazing and that showed so much in the War. She truly is the greatest medic nin of her time. After the war, she only continued to grow and became much more in control of the impulsiveness of her emotions. Watching her become a mother to Sarada only further proved her growth. There was in no doubt to Kakashi that Sarada would grow into an amazing nin between her dad's and mother's training.

Thinking of that, Kakashi thought of young Boruto. He is so much like his father in his youth that Kakashi couldn't help the snort that left him getting strange stares again. He was sure that Naruto and Hinata would also raised a great nin, and he was hopeful for Himawari. With that thought in mind he took the last swig of his sake and put down money for it, getting up excited to see what the future may hold for the time he still lived...

A/N: I couldn't help but write this as I grew up watching Naruto and seeing them as adults and the new generation made me feel nostalgic. I hope you all enjoy this small little oneshot, until next time!
