"So that's where my shirt went."
Raven turned around at the sound of his voice then went back to the puzzle she was working on. "It ended up in my laundry and I forgot to give it back."
"So you decided to keep it?" Robin asked, sitting on the floor next to her in between the couch and the coffee table.
Raven shrugged. "It was soft so I thought I'd keep it until you noticed or said something."
"But it's my favorite shirt." Robin half whined and teased.
The said shirt in question was a short sleeved black shirt with the logo of some band Raven didnt know on the back. She did indeed find it in her laundry when she was putting her clothes away and tried it on out of curiosity. It was very comfortable and she decided to keep it until he said something about it. It had been a while so she ended up forgetting it wasn't hers.
"Then you should have paid more attention when you did your laundry."
"It does look cute on you," Robin observed, "but what if I want it back?"
Raven blushed slightly at the compliment but held her composure. "Well it's a good thing you think that because I wasn't planning on giving it back."
"But you said you would give it back if I noticed that you had it."
"I said I thought. Now I decided that you're not getting it back."
"That's not nice." Robin grinned playfully, liking the banter but still a bit annoyed that she wasn't going to give him his shirt back.
"Well that sounds like a you problem." Raven played back. "Finders keepers right? Isn't that what you said to Beast Boy when you had the last bag of chips?"
"Only because he did it to me earlier."
"Well, here I am doing it back to you." Raven said as she finished putting together the border. "I'm keeping it."
"If it was the other way around you would want your shirt back." Robin pointed out, not wanting to admit that he was getting a bit more worked up than he should over a damn shirt.
"If it was the other way around you wouldn't be able to fit in my shirts." Raven said, giving him a look knowing very well that he was a good size or two bigger than her. "Plus I'm not careless enough to mix my clothes with someone else's."
"You know what I mean." Robin sighed and picked up a piece of the puzzle, connecting it with another before he leaned back against the couch and watched her silently work on the rest of the pieces.
They were both quiet for a few moments while Raven thought. She wanted to keep poking at him, but she could already tell that he was still a bit peeved but was trying hard not to. She could just drop it and ask if he would like to help her, but she wanted to mess with him a bit more.
She had a tank top underneath his shirt, it being more comfortable than wearing a bra. She smirked to herself for a second and then caught herself, clearing her face as she turned herself towards Robin. She had her plan.
"Fine," she started, gaining Robin's attention, "Here, you can have it back." She took hold of the bottom of the shirt and started to pull it off of her.
A very surprised and quickly flustered Robin not knowing that she had another shirt on underneath, grabbed her hands and quickly pulled them back down.
"What?" Raven tilted her head, trying so hard to not crack a smirk. "I thought you wanted your shirt back."
Robin, the poor boy, just sat there in shock with his hands still holding hers down firmly. "I didn't mean right now!" He whisper yelled, looking around the room frantically to see if someone had walked in.
Raven watched as he silently freaked out, face beet red, not knowing what to do. "But don't you want it back?"
Robin gaped at her, mouth slack open in shock. Of course he wanted it back, but he wasn't expecting her to take it off right then and there! She had caught him completely off guard. "I, yes, but-you, you can't just- out in the open like that, why on earth would you-"
Raven couldn't hold back the smirk that broke out on her face any longer. He was so flustered! It wasn't often when he acted like that, and she was loving it.
"-what?"
"What?"
"What's with the face?"
"What face?" Raven tried to even out her expression but couldn't hold back her grin. "This, this is my normal face."
Robin eyed her as she tried to hold back a giggle, her shoulders shaking slightly and her lips pursed together as she tried to hold it in. "You think that was funny huh? Making my heart jump like that?"
"Yes," she answered, gaining some sort of composure back, "because I have a shirt underneath."
All Robin could do was sit there and blink wildly under his mask. Had he seen the second shirt at all? Was she telling the truth? Or was he too distracted with her too comfortable strip? Wait, now that he thought about it, she did seem way too comfortable taking the shirt off. She barely took off her cloak in front of them. So now, he was a bit suspicious. "So you're telling me, that if I lift up your shirt, I'll find, another shirt?"
"That's what I said wasn't it?"
Robin eyed her, seeing if she was telling the truth or not.
Raven raised her eyebrows in challenge, almost as if daring him to lift the shirt. "Don't believe me?"
"I dont know."
"Well, if you want your shirt back, you'll have to take it."
"You're sure you have another one on?"
"Go and find out." Raven removed her hands from his so he was gripping her, well, his shirt. It took him a few moments before he did anything, starting to get more flustered being so close to her and feeling how warm she was, he blushed again.
Taking a deep breath in, he lifted the bottom of the shirt, just about to where her belly button would be in case she was lying, but he saw no belly button. A dark blue tank top met his gaze as he gave her a playful push. "You're a pain, you know that right?"
Raven let herself get pushed to the floor as she made a noise of amusement, completely entertained by the whole scene.
"God. You could have, I don't know, gone to the bathroom, or maybe tell me that you had a second shirt underneath!
"I thought you would have seen it." She shrugged. "Guess not."
"You know what," Robin grabbed the bottom of the shirt firmly and pulled it off her, well, tried to, "give me that."
Raven made a noise in surprise as the shirt was pulled over her eyes but refused to slide off her arms. She tried to pull her arms down to keep the shirt on while Robin wrestled with her to get it off. Finally getting it past her arms it came off fairly easily with a final tug.
Not being able to see and being jostled around, Raven fell towards him with the last tug, landing on his lap.
"Ha!" Robin declared as he successfully got his shirt back, not noticing Raven on him until she put a hand on his knee to get up. "Well, hello there." He grinned.
Raven gave him a glare but he just smiled and ruffled her hair which caused her scowl to deepen.
Robin chuckled at his feather ruffled friend. "Even though it looks cute on you," he started, pulling his shirt off and putting the one Raven previously wore on, "I think it looks best on me." He said, dramatically striking a pose.
Raven sat there with a light blush dusting her cheeks, her turn to get flustered, still practically in his lap when he took his shirt off.
"What?" He grinned, now having caught her off guard. "Didn't expect me to not have anything under my shirt?"
"Shut up." Raven mumbled and gave him a small push in the chest, moving back over to her puzzle while Robin gave a light laugh.
"Now we're even."
"I think you're forgetting one last thing."
"And what might that be?"
Raven scooted back towards him on her knees, reached up to his head, and gave his head a good ruffle.
His hair went everywhere. His spikes came apart to smaller, wilder spikes, some sticking straight up and others going every which way. He looked like a porcupine that had a very bad hair day.
"Now, we're even." Raven declared, scooting back to her puzzle.
"I guess we are." Robin chuckled and sat back against the couch, watching her put the pieces together, wondering what other shirts of his she had.
