I lean into his touch, closing my eyes and treasuring the moment we have together. A beautiful moment, of watching the daylight stream in together. The daylight kissing my naked body, after a passionate night of lovemaking. I feel him tense behind me. "What's wrong my prince?"

"This." I suddenly feel exposed as that word comes out. Wanting nothing more than to hide myself as the insecurity comes sweeping through. He runs a hand through a golden odango, "No princess you misunderstand, I mean the fact that this is once again coming to an end. I don't want to go," he tucks his chin on my shoulder, inhaling my scent. "I want to stay with you forever."

"Me too my prince." I feel tears prick my eyes. "Maybe you'll learn to be happy with her," my voice betrays me by cracking the slightest bit. I only wanted happiness for him, even if it was with someone other than me.

Life was hardly fair. Him being from Earth, and me being from the moon kingdom it wasn't meant to be. He was set to marry Beryl. Even with the desperate efforts to postpone stuff, the date was coming up fast. And once they were eloped, we would no longer be able to see each other.

"Run away with me." He whispers, so softly I barley hear it. "We could leave our lives behind and start anew somewhere fresh. Somewhere where we can just be ourselves and not worry about our kingdoms."

"Oh prince." I lean back and kiss Endyimon.

It's a gorgeous spring day, not a cloud in the sky, the trees a brilliant array of colors. I giggle as I see an orange tabby kitten, attempting to chase after the blue tailed butterflies. Almost got it, but then it flies just out of the grasp of the paw. I take my phone out to take a picture to send to my friends, then groan as I notice the time. I took too much time admiring the beauty on the way that I was going to be nearly late to my date with Motoki. Was supposed to be meeting one of his friends today, who was new to town and a bit quiet. Knowing the loving person, I am, he thought I could help his antisocial friend branch out a bit. I give the kitten a scratch on the head and turn on my heel to run to the coffee shop.

No sooner that I start running I feel myself colliding with a hard border, my legs soon swept from under me as I'm falling. Instead of landing on the concrete though, the boulder smelled like roses in bloom.

I groan, pushing my body up. Seeing the ugliest green jacket, I've ever seen. Why did stuff have to be made in that color, how could it even be legal? Was almost puke like. My eyes trailing up to the black sweater, before seeing a pale neck. Such beautiful untainted skin, before skimming to the face to see startled pair of cobalt blue eyes. A shuffle of inky black hair sprawled out across his forehead. I open my mouth to apologize, but words are coming up short at the beauty of him. Almost like I knew him, but I could swear I would never forget a face like that.

He opens and closes his mouth like a gaping fish, seeming as lost for words as I am. The spell broken as he coughs, "You really should watch where you're going odango." The words coming out harsh, a brisk of rudeness to them.

I scowl at him, giving his chest as extra shove as I stand up. I straighten out my skirt, giving him an indignant look. "Asshole." I run my fingers through my long blond curls. Before leaving him standing there as I go to meet with the boyfriend, and his mystery friend. I rush down the rest of the sidewalk, rushing through the coffee shop doors and see he has already saved a booth for us. An easygoing smile on his friendly face.

An amused look in his sparkling green eyes, "You're late again Usagi." He runs a hand through his blond locks. He doesn't look upset though, merely shaking his head, amusement in his blue eyes. I tried to be on time, but in the years, we've been friends, and lovers I was never good at being on time. "Good thing I told you half an hour before you needed to get here so you would be on time."

I slide into the booth next to him. "I'm sorry Toki, I just saw the cutest kitten," I pull up the pictures on my phone to show them to him. "I meant to be on time." I give him the cutest puppy dog face I can muster.

"I could see how the kitten would be distracting." He laughs at the cuteness of the pictures, kissing me on the cheek.

"Who's your friend I'm going to meet?" I ask, meeting new people was always exciting. And since Motoki knew him, he must be a great guy.

"Here he comes. Looks a little irritated." Motoki's brow furrows, as I turn to see who he's looking at and my heart plummets. The asshole I ran into earlier. "He can seem a little intimidating, and rough around the edges but he is a really great guy." The words half lost on my ears as I see tall, dark, and handsome coming up.

"It's you!" He scowls seeing me, giving a wave to his friend.

"Do you two know each other?" Motoki asks me confused, looking between the two of us as his friend slides in across from us.

"Your girlfriend nearly tried to take me out on the way here." He grumbles.

"I caught a glimpsed at the time after I took the pictures, and then came rushing over here," I shrug sheepishly at Motoki. "Though I am questioning your taste in friends." I tease my boyfriend, ripping against my want to stare at his friend. What had gotten into me?

"Sounds like my Usagi." Motoki laughs, as I scowl at him. "Sorry about that Mamoru. She's a bit of a klutz, but she is a wonderful woman." Toki gives me a peck on the cheek.

Mamoru, so there was a name to that pretty jerk.

"Sorry again about running into you." I try to get things on the right foot. I could at least attempt to smooth things out, since Toki is sitting next to me. If he weren't here, I'd try to change a few more verbal spats with the pretty jerk.

"That's the first time you're apologizing to me bun-head." Well, I would have apologized earlier if he hadn't been a jerk.

"Can I get you guys anything?" A waitress stops by our table.

"I'll have a coffee." Mamoru answers.

"Milkshake!" I answer.

"Just another green tea." Toki answers.

"I'll be right back out with those." The redhead smiles at us, walking off.

"So how do you know this jerk?" Mamoru raises an eyebrow at my question to Toki.

"He transferred to my college, a few months ago. Poor guy couldn't find his way around campus." Toki gives an easygoing smile, as Mamoru glares at him.

"I wouldn't have been so lost if you wouldn't keep giving me wrong directions." Mamoru narrows his eyes at him.

"No man, that was all on you." Toki shrugs.

"Whatever man."

"What made you decide to move here?" I ask, tuning my attention back to Mamaoru baka.

"What can't be ready to get rid of me all ready?" Mamoru smirks. Those lips bringing me back to dreams, and I have to shake it off. "I was originally from here and finished my year in Harvard so decided to head back to my roots."

Harvard, fancy. "Your parents must be proud of you!" I give him a gleaming smile. My parents only wished I could be half as devoted to school as that.

That takes the gusto out of his wings, as he frowns, suddenly finding the laminate covering of the table oh so interesting. Why did I feel like I said the wrong thing?

"His parents are dead," Toki whispers in my ear, as I feel my heart fall. Even with how much of a jerk Shingo was I would hate if he was dead.

I free myself from Toki's cuddles going to sit next to the Mamoru-baka, giving him a hug. He halts for a moment, before leaning into it. "I'm sorry, I didn't know." I hold onto him a little bit. And it feels surprisingly natural, like I felt it before.

"You didn't know." He pulls away, gaze staring a little longer then appropriate.

"Sorry Mamoru she's a bit like that." Toki gives an awkward laugh, reminding me he's here.

"Hi Toki," I go back to next to him. "Sorry."

He tweaks my nose. "Don't apologize for having a heart too big Usagi." He smiles warmly. "Its one of the many things I love about you." He gives me a quick peck on the cheek, as I snuggle into his embrace. "How's the job hunt going now that your done with school?" He asks Mamoru.

"Have something lined up but it'll still be a few weeks before I start- "the rest of the words cut off from my ears as I hear my communicator go off. That was odd, things have slowed down a bit in the past few years.

"Toki, I have to get going, I'm needed." I whisper in his ear, knowing he'll get my drift. Luna hated the fact that I told him, but after several instances of mysteriously disappearing it caused a bit of a rift on things, and I had to tell him. Luna was pissed. Toki nearly passed out at my talking cat.

"Where is she going? Acting like she's going off to save the world." Mamoru is left confused. The rest of the comments between the two of them left unheard as I rush to the bathroom to change, then slip out the window in there.

I'm quick to slip through the window, bounding off to meet up with the rest.

"Took you long enough bun head." The sensei of fire greets me.

I mildly growl, sticking my tongue out at her. "Some people actually have dates they are on." I snipe back as she dodges an attack from the bad guy. Its an oddly beautiful creature made of thorns, several people down already as the thorns are implanted in their shoulders. Why weren't we alerted sooner? "Ami, what's your read?"

"The thorns are sucking out the life force and making the people delirious in the process." She has her supercomputer out. "Sailor moon watch out." She calls out attacking it with bubble beam, to stop the attack that's going towards me. It's not enough though, as I feel a familiar set of hands grabbing my waist and whisking me to safety.

"Sailor Moon, you need to be aware of your surroundings." There's that coy look on his face, like he hadn't just been gone for years. Tuxedo mask left, and then crime just mysteriously stopped.

"You- "my face flush red. The guy I crushed on for years, the mysterious figure once again saving my life.

"Use your moon tiara." He instructs, as I look up to see the others attacking the vile creature with attacks.

I do as instructed, watching as it hits the creature, filling a scream in the air. Once the creature is gone the thorns in the people starting to disintegrate.

"We need to get them to the hospital." Ami and the others start to gather the people.

"Tuxedo mask- "I turn towards him, but he disappears as soon as usual. His presence still leaving that feeling in my heart.

There are ambulances coming by, ready to pick people up.

"Do you think you guys can handle it? I have a date to get back to." And needed to remind my mind that Toki was the one for me, not some masked stranger.

"Go girl," Venus signals, giving me a reassuring smile again. At least she understood, besides the paramedics could take care of it.

I rush to an alley, turning my appearance back to that of Usagi, and away the glamour. Ready to run out and turn back to the diner when a hard form collides with mine, as earlier events are repeated. "Do you run into everyone, or am I just special?"

"What are you even doing here, you should be with Motoki?" I stare at him accusingly. Getting myself off of his form, giving him a dirty look in the meanwhile. Ignoring how those cobalt eyes remind me of someone else's so much.

"You ran off, and then there was news about that monster. Sorry I was worried." He may as well tell me to fuck off with the tune used.

"I can take care of myself Baka." I brush myself off, going back to be around Toki's presence.

"Says the girl who runs into random innocent men," He scoffs.

"I would hardly call you innocent." I stick my tongue out at him. Going to run off to meet with Toki, when I feel a hand on my shoulder.

"Don't grab me like that!" I screech, must having been taking a slight attack there as I feel a sharp pain.

"Are you hurt? You should get checked out."

Where was Luna when I needed her?

As if on call, she throws herself at the baka so I can detach myself sprinting forward. I rush through the doors, seeing Motoki sitting alone with a partially melted milkshake beside him. "Toki!" I yell, sliding in next to him. Throwing my arms over his startled form.

"Usagi, are you alright? I saw the news." He looks startled.

"Who the hell leaves their girlfriend alone to sprint off, when that is going on outside?" Baka is back, Luna in his arms, as he gives Motoki a grim look.

Motoki giving a look of the same. I don't think I've ever seen Motoki that angry at someone.

"Shut up when you don't know what you're talking about." I glare at baka, defending my boyfriend. I would hate it he got hurt in the line of fire. We had many talks about how he would be more of a hinderance if he tried to protect me.

"Usagi can take care of herself." Toki grumbles, getting an uncharacteristic look of annoyance on his face. "Hi Luna," he changes tune as the cat goes up to say hi. She keeps headbutting him, indicating she wants to talk to us, without the baka around. "I'm going to get the bill, then Usagi and I are going to take this runaway kitty home. Nice to see you again Mamoru," words more out of politeness then truth.
