Chapter 24: Sonoda Taisei, Ohai Shuki, Hanya Tonatsu
"Is there a problem?" Hanya asked. Two students from Itan just bought some bread and was currently having a heated discussion just outside her bakery. Actually, now that she looked closer at them, she knew one of them: Sonoda Taisei, one of Komi's friends.
"All I'm saying is that maybe this discussion should be left with the Delusion Group," Sonoda said. The two clearly hadn't heard Hanya.
"But we need a seed for the discussion! So answer me, B!"
"Don't use our code names," Sonoda whispered. He looked around to see if anyone's listening. His whole body froze when he saw Hanya. "Er...are we being too loud? Sorry."
"Was there something wrong with the bread?" Hanya approached them. If she remembered correctly, they ordered some chocolate buns.
"The wobble was wonderful," the other girl said.
"Ohai! She's from our school!" Sonoda's panicking now.
"Wobble?" Hanya asked.
Ohai pulled out a chocolate bun, still warm, and placed the top onto her cupped hands. She then wiggled her hands left and right. "It's not only soft, but there's this wobble in it, it's almost like…"
"Ohai!"
"...pudding. We were just debating how this is made."
"Oh. Company secrets, of course," Hanya said. "Glad you're interested, though. Do you think there's enough wobble?"
"No," Ohai said. "It's imperfect, there's some drag within the wobble."
"You know about wobbles, Ohai?" Hanya asked.
"Very familiar with it. Couldn't stop thinking about it, honestly," Ohai said.
"Would you be willing to help me find this perfect wobble?" Hanya asked.
"Yes," Ohai said.
"I'll follow along," Sonoda said. "Just in case...Ohai got too into...wobbles."
Hanya nodded. "Have to stay with your girlfriend, huh?"
Sonoda shook his head. "We're merely companions from the same group."
"Well, consider me a member of that group, then! I can provide all the breads you need!" Hanya said.
"Bread is not what we're eating in that group," Ohai said.
[break]
"And you know what, Komi? Turns out these breads are breasts," Hanya said. Komi nodded in embarrassed understanding. Tadano stood next to Komi, watching Hanya turn around to face Ohai and Sonoda.
"I should've never trusted you, Ohai," Hanya said, carrying a bag of perfectly wobbly buns. Sonoda stood behind Ohai. "Why didn't you tell me this looked like breasts, Sonoda? I thought you were the reliable type…"
Tadano moved in front of Hanya. "I think Sonoda didn't say it because it's embarrassing for a boy to say that to a girl." Sonoda nodded in agreement.
"Perhaps I was being less than truthful, but my interest in the wobbling of your buns is genuine. Aren't they now a perfectly energetic blob of joy?" Ohai asked.
"Yeah," Hanya agreed.
"Wait, you agreed?" Tanado asked.
"Well, maybe you can stop selling it? Just consider it a personal pan project," Sonoda said.
"I can't." Hanya looked down. "This had been the best-selling bread in the my entire bread-making life."
"T-that's a good thing," Komi said.
"But now my bakery is visited by a large number of weird guys…"
Komi, Tadano and Sonoda now understood her feelings. "What do you think, Tadano?" Sonoda asked. "It is embarrassing for girls to sell such a suggestive item."
"That perfect wobble is the result of months of hard work," Ohai said. "It's a profitable masterpiece! You're one of us, Tadano, you should understand the importance of this kind of art."
"It's my first bread to actually sell," Hanya said. "Tadano, do you think it's normal for me to sell breads like these? Wouldn't this hurt the bakery's name down the line?"
Tadano realised there were not three, but four pairs of eyes staring at him. Komi was also looking at him, expecting him to solve this conundrum. To his dismay, his mind came up blank. He had no idea how to do this. He looked at Sonoda, Ohai and Hanya and started sweating.
"Just tell us your opinion, G," Ohai said. "I trust you."
"Yeah, G," Sonoda said. "Go on!"
"G?" Hanya asked.
"C-can I try the bread?" Komi asked, breaking the tension.
"You sure?" Hanya asked. Komi nodded. Hanya handed her a perfectly wobbling chocolate bun. Komi stared at it and started wobbling it herself. She kept staring at it.
Click.
Tadano turned to the sound of the camera and found Sonoda taking a picture of Komi being fixated on the jiggly bread. "I found the solution, Hanya."
"Are you using an illegally taken picture of Komi?" Tadano asked. "I'm going to stop yo-"
"I'm sending it to Onigashima," Sonoda said. "I also send it to you, Tadano, and Ohai. You two, send it to your classmates."
"W-what are you doing?" Tadano asked.
"If Itan High students buy your bread, then that would mean high school students would buy it. Thus, this would bring the normies to buy instead of weird perverts. Thus, there's no problem with the bakery's good name. You can keep selling it, Hanya!"
"You're right!" Ohai said.
"No, wait, is Komi okay with this?" Hanya asked. She looked at Komi, who had finally bit the bread. "Can I tell my friends that you enjoyed the bread, Komi?"
"It's really delicious," Komi said. "The jiggling inside my mouth feels very good."
"Too much! Too much!" Ohai said. "Can't handle Komi saying that!"
Hanya's phone rang. "Yes? Mum? What? A lot of students from my school are lining up to buy the jiggly roll?" Hanya looked at the other four. "You might be right, Sonoda! I'm off! Thanks for your help, Komi!"
Ohai and Sonoda too left shortly after. Komi finished the bread, enjoying every bite, before turning to Tadano. "What's 'G'?"
Tadano froze. Oh no, will this be the time to explain the Delusion Group?
Author's note: The "Delusion Group" is how I refer to the group in chapters 77, 75, 250, and 254.
