Chapter 27: Isagi Kiyoko, Anchi Arisa

"Maybe they're just a bad friend?" Anchi said. "This is the fourth time she forgot your birthday, clearly she didn't care enough about it. You'll find a better friend."

The student who asked seemed satisfied and went away. Anchi didn't quite get it, but she had gained the reputation of being a problem-solver. All she did was say what's obvious, but people liked it for a reason. A 'harsh truth teller', one of her friends said of her.

On one hand it's nice to be relied on...no wait, it's not nice at all, how many masochists were in this school?

"Agony Anchi~ Another person comes for your advice," another student said. She didn't know who started calling her that, but she hated it.

The student council president, Isagi Kiyoko, entered the room. She stopped just in front of Anchi's desk. She pulled out a small spray bottle and sprayed the chair used by Anchi's previous 'client', then wiped it clean before she sat down. "I have a question."

"It annoys me that you think I'm that dirty, you know. Why would I help someone who thinks like that? Go ask the boys for that kind of behaviour."

"That is precisely my question," Isagi said "You just can't stop saying those kinds of inflammatory words, can you?"

"I'll stop it once you're out of my sight," Anchi said.

"Can you say one line without any insult whatsoever?"

"Yes." There was a brief pause before Anchi blurted, "Do your presidential job!"

"The two of us are similar," Isagi said.

"Yeah, we're both very annoying," Anchi said.

"Plus our 'quirk' is almost always on, requiring heavy willpower to stop," Isagi said. "I came to you just to make sure this isn't something I suffered alone."

"Wow, you spend this long just to confirm that tiny useless fact? Why not give the president job back to the previous one?"

"I also wanted to see if you can actually stop it using your willpower. Clearly you couldn't." Isagi stood up and left the classroom, to Anchi's slight bewilderment. Just slight. It's not a boiling fury or a blazing umbrage at all. She stood up and chased the president.

"So you're accepting Isagi's challenge by cleaning this graffiti off the wall without saying a single thing?" Tadano asked.

Anchi, who was biting a piece of cloth, nodded. She dipped her mop into the bucket and started wiping.

"Should we help?" Komi asked.

"No," Isagi said. "If you hated walking with your boyfriend that much, just tell him." Tadano and Komi looked at Isagi in surprise. "Anchi made me remember a few phrases if anyone offered to help." Isagi shuffled. "It's a bit too much…"

"In a way, you sort of switched personalities. Anchi cleans, and Isagi says discouraging things," Tadano said.

"If you could spend time saying obvious things, why don't you spend it with your girlfriend?" Isagi asked. "Again, this is a bit too much…"

"Are you sure you're alright, Anchi?" Komi asked. Anchi nodded. Komi looked at Isagi then at Tadano, and the two resumed walking.
