While the Huntresses were off getting ambushed by Adam the girls from Earth decided to spend the day together.
Now that the Baneful sisters and the Vampire sisters were not only no longer enemies, but had fought alongside one another, the four girls had a rather good relationship. That doesn't mean that they are all acting friendly and as they walk and Anna can't help but think how well the pairings mirror one another.
The older sisters Kagura and Aya were particularly interested in clothing, although Kagura kept insisting that they were not friends.
Meanwhile the younger sisters Saaya and Saki would spend much of their time talking about their sisters only this time it is Saki insisting that they are not really friends.
Today however, all five Earthlings are wandering Argus. They had just finished a shopping trip where Kagura and Aya got to dress up their little sisters.
As per usual Saaya had been rather embarrassed by the whole thing while Saki was just happy to spend time with her older sibling even if the dresses were… too lacy for her tastes.
Now however, the four were heading down to the Atlas military base to heckle Cordovin. She had previously been disparaging of the older girl's choice of outfit and the two had found it quite entertaining to go up to the base with even more revealing outfits.
After walking up to the gate with some bananas as the only things covering their privates the two decided they had proved their point especially as Cordovin had fainted and started foaming at the mouth from the ridiculousness of their… "clothing". Still the two girls had laughed about it as they went home only to have a really awkward talk with everyone at the Cotta-Arc household with Saaya and Saki clearly feeling the most embarrassed about it.
Today wasn't going to be anything like that however. Seeing as Weiss had been gone for too long Anna was beginning to feel guilty and so the five of them were going to plan out a way to steal an Atlas Airship. It would no doubt be difficult as none of them were going to be allowed to just walk into the base, but there were frequent enough attacks that if the soldiers were distracted then it shouldn't be too hard to sneak in and take a transport.
Sure enough the girls were lucky and as they were nearing the base the alarm was sounding.
"WARNING LEVEL 4 GRIMM ON APPROACH. ALL RESIDENTS ARE ADVISED TO REMAIN IN BASEMENTS UNTIL THE THREAT HAS BEEN HANDLED BY THE ATLAS MILITARY. THIS MESSAGE WILL REPEAT."
"Well that sounds like as good an opportunity as any!" Kagura chuckled as the five were now running towards the base. Being much faster the Vampires and Banefuls sisters arrive first and see that this battle is not going in the military's favor. Cordovin has already engaged the large godzilla looking grimm and the air forces are engaged with the flying Grimm.
However, it is clear that Cordovin is having trouble. The battle damage from the previous attacks had taken their toll and her mech's leg had stopped moving. She wasn't down yet, but the odds weren't in her favor here.
Down at the base the four see a soldier ushering people out of the base. An evacuation of some sort.
So right as Anna arrives the four start running down to figure out what is going on leaving Anna to figure the situation out herself.
The 4 quickly arrive at the gate and the soldier notices them.
"Hey! You four get out of here and get underground!"
"Nice to see you, soldier boy, how can we help?" Aya snarks back. Only to have the man laugh in her face.
"Ya right, even if I were to assume you were all Huntresses, there is nothing you could do against that Leviathan. Now get going we will… hold it off." the soldier's voice trails off at the end. It doesn't take a genius to know that he doesn't think they can win.
Still the girls back off after this with a severely out of breath Anna following them, while trying to regain her breath.
"Alright so how do we do this?" Aya starts looking for suggestions.
"What can we do? It's too far away to cross that gap. Even in Xstasy!" Saki retorts, her volume rising in frustration.
"But we have to do something!" Saaya remarks looking desperate for someone to have an idea. Looking at Aya, then Saki, then Anna, who was still regaining her breath, and finally at her sister Kagura who was observing the gap.
"Hey Saaya… you ever see that one game… Titan... something or other?" Kagura asks a reckless plan already forming.
"Sis this is no time for games!" Saaya yells, angry her sister is thinking about something so pointless at a time like this. But as Kagura opens her mouth to explain, Aya chimes in.
"I have. Are you seriously thinking of doing THAT move?" Aya sounds almost like she is about to laugh.
"Well we gotta do something and I figure if I do that while in Dare Drive I should be able to cross the gap. Besides we have big things before and you Banefuls didn't even have Xstasy at the time." Kagura sounds playful as she speaks. Meanwhile Saki and Saaya are just looking back and forth confused about what is going on when Aya turns to them.
"Alright, Kagura and I will help out Cordovin, you two take Anna and get us a ride to Atlas in the meantime." Aya starts sounding the part of a leader to which Kagura rolls her eyes.
Still while Saaya and Saki don't know what the plan actually is, the two of them trust their sisters and so take a suffering Anna along. After all Anna may be fit, but she really can't keep up the pace with these superhumans.
But they have their objective and so the 3 head back to the base. The soldier doesn't even notice as Saaya and Saki jump over the wall even with Anna being carried by Saki. As they land the three of them take a look at the battle between Cordovin's mech and the Leviathan grimm just in time to see Cordovin get knocked over with the grimm roaring in triumph. Before it begins charging it's breath weapon to finish the job.
The girls may not have been particularly fond, but they didn't want her to die and to make matters worse, if she went down, then Argus would be defenseless. It is with this in mind that the Saaya and Saki look for their sisters only to see them doing something strange.
Meanwhile, Kagura and Aya are standing on shore gauging the distance to the fight.
"Think this will work?" Kagura asks. This may be her plan, but she hasn't exactly done this before.
"I mean it's only a Hundred meters, pro golfers can hit twice that!" Aya responds confidently.
"Uh… don't golfballs weigh like… nothing?" Kagura responds skeptically.
"Hey this was your idea, now are we doing this or what?" Aya admonishes.
"Alright, Alright!" Kagura chuckles nervously. "Let's get ready." As she says this they hear the roar and the crash as Cordovin falls.
"No time, transform and let's go." Aya rushes a few feet from the edge of the water.
"Right!" Kagura states as she begins to transform. A red aura surrounds her before breaking and revealing her new form. It doesn't take long just a burst of blood coming from all over her body as though Kagura is shedding her skin and when she is revealed she looks very much like a demon.
Her legs have transformed, gaining a brown furred appearance and she now has a tail. Her arms have gained similar fur and around her neck and on the side of her face tufts of white fur have appeared. Finally she remains surrounded by a red aura exuding power.
Confidently, Kagura struts past Aya before turning.
"Ready, Aya?"
"Ready!"
Never one to do anything without style, Kagura backflips and lands crouched in Aya's cupped palms causing Aya to grunt. Then Aya plants her foot and launches Kagura who jumps at the last second.
It goes off perfectly and Kagura is sent flying straight at the Leviathan grimm still charging it's attack. The wind rushing past as Kagura becomes a blur across the field. Anyone looking in her direction unsure what they are seeing as she rapidly closes with the grimm and at the last second Kagura spins and lands a devastating kick on the Leviathans face knocking the beam off target right as the grimm fires sending it harmlessly into the water.
Jumping off the grimms face, Kagura lands on Cordovin's mech.
"Hey Cordo, feel free to keep sitting on your ass. I got this." Kagura Struts forward drawing and pointing her blades at the grimm and shouting confidently. "ショータイムです!"
Those on shore watching the fight are confused when they see the beam get knocked away, but can't really see what hit the grimm. Still, the fight has wonderfully drawn the attention of all the Atlas personnel still on base and they don't even notice as Anna, Saaya and Saki rush to a transport. Fortunately, the first one they find has a pilot already in it, likely preparing for takeoff although for what purpose they couldn't figure out as the vehicle the girls had run to didn't have any weapons.
Still it wasn't difficult to knock the man out and seize the airship. All that was left was for Anna to figure out how to make it work. Fortunately, most of the controls were designed like similar vehicles on Earth, but while they may have spoken the same language the writing systems had revealed itself to be different and Anna was having trouble figuring out how to start the thing.
Some Atlas Troopers eventually noticed an unauthorized take off and started running over shouting for them to stop, but not before Anna managed to start the Manta and take off, heading to shore to pick up Aya.
Back with Kagura, she was hitting the Leviathan with everything she had. The girls had faced similar sized opponents before and that was before she had mastered her Dare Drive. Plus the Giant Grimm was much slower than those opponents making dodging it's attacks a cakewalk. Still the Grimm did have two things going for it that was causing Kagura trouble. First off, it was tough and even with her enhanced strength and extremely deadly weapons she was having a hard time doing damage. Second was the very small number of platforms for Kagura to land on.
Cordovin's mech was right out as the Grimm would simply continue any attack aimed at her and crush the downed mech. Which left Kagura landing on the grimm's arms, back and shoulders as the only real options.
On top of this, despite appearances the Grimm wasn't stupid. It was a particularly old Grimm and had actually been responsible for the previous attacks sending younger, weaker, dumber and most importantly more expendable minions to weaken the Humans machine before attacking itself. Now it was using that intelligence to predict where this odd Human would land.
All this meant that even when Kagura made an attack it was shallow at best and it was hard to tell how long her luck would last.
Still she wasn't one to go down easy and smirking Kagura jumped right up to the grimm's face and plunged one of her blades into the beast's red eye. Still this was a bit of a pyrrhic victory as she didn't have time to pull it out before she had to dodge another grab.
Back on shore Aya had regrouped with the rest of the girls in the transport and was considering what they could do. While they could try and help Kagura, it was pretty easy to tell that they would just get in each other's way. With little option Aya pulled out her scroll and called the members of team RWBY.
