It was late one evening the kid was walking from a friends house. He got to the corner where he turns down to go to his house when he noticed something in the intersection, A crossroad if you will, as he stepped foot into the center he heard walking behind him and a deep voice called out to him.
"You shouldn't be here kid. This isn't the place for you." The voice said in deep British accent. The boy turned and there standing a foot away was a man in a dark suit and red tie is standing there cigar in mouth. The boy slowly backed up "W-Where did you come from?" The boy asked, still slowly backing up until he hit the light pole on the curb of the opposite corner. The kid was visibly shaken by the apperance of this mysterious man, he was unaware the thought of a deal with the devil was actually being heard by the devil himself.
"Why are you here? That deal was suppose to be a joke! I did not mean it i swear! Please leave me alone. I just want to be home." the boy said with a shaken voice. The devil standing only a foot away stepped closer and lent out a hand to the boy. The devil had the look of sorrow and disappointment on his face as he let out a small sigh. "That is not how this works. I am sorry. Now get up, after you take my hand things will be done and your soul will be mine. a deal is a deal kiddo." The boy stood up on his own and dusted himself off and sighed. He soon nodded and agreed with the man standing here in front of him, took the devil's hand and made the deal. In a puff of smoke the man was gone it seemed like hours passed standing there but it was a matter of only a few seconds. He walked home as he did so police cars sped past along with an ambulance. That is when the kid began to worry, He ran the rest of the way home. As he did so he noticed they were at his house wheeling a body out of the house. He walked up and got stopped by a police officer
"you live here?" the cop asked. The kid nodded looking up to the cop eith the look of worry on his face. The cop sighed and took him to the side and explained that his dad had died of a heart attack and there was nothing they couldve done. They stayed and talked for awhile before they escorted him to a local shelter that helped him get reunited with his older brother Dean.
