I hope you enjoy this one and I'll try and pump the next one out fairly soon!*!*@*#£@*@*#**#*
Himiko groaned as her alarm went off, blaring into the emptiness of her apartment, she slapped the dismiss button on her phone as she looked over at her window, the sun came through the curtains and hit her face waking her out of her slumber.
Stretching up she pondered why she even awoke, secretly praying for an easy death in her sleep, it would beat living like how she currently was.
She frowned as she grabbed her phone and saw the time was 3PM, glad she got to sleep in today, no villain meetings thankfully, she was sick of them.
Looking back at the time another frown appeared, this one deeper and more upset, it was the 10th of april, 4 days away from when she last saw her, from when she had let go of the only thing that made her happy.
sighing she felt so much pain and guilt well up inside her, she left her...the one person who accepted her, who she could truly relate to, and she just left. not that she had a choice that is.
Giran had came to visit her that day as he did many times before except this one different, the normally cool and chill man was panicked and finicky, which set Alarm bells off in her head. he told her he was getting her out right now and she had to come with him to meet someone immediately. she refused at first not wanting to leave her Izumi by herself but the fear in the man's eyes was evident, he told her they would both be dead if she didn't, that scared her, Giran wasn't afraid of anyone much less panicked about someone, she agreed to go with him begrudgingly but she asked to say goodbye to her before she left.
That request was denied as the wall exploded next to her, sending debris flying around the room and throwing some of the guards sailing through tye air. Armed men came in and giran grabbed her hand and booked it out the wall behind them, she heard gun fire ad she screamed at the man to let her go, let her go and let her see her one last time. she screamed out her name over and over again till they were in the car where she just snapped. she remembered grabbing Giran and Slamming his head into her knee breaking his nose before slapping the living shit out of him screaming in his face.
"DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA OF WHAT THE FUCK YOU JUST DID TO ME?? YOU JUST FUCKING TOOK ME FROM THE ONE PERSON I CARED ABOUT WITH NO FUCKING EXPLANATION, NO GOODBYE, NOTHING!!" She screamed as she continued her assault down on the man who only sat there and took it. he knew what he did, he knew about her and izumi and he felt horrible about it, he had no choice, HE wanted her out now, no time wasted.
"...I'm so sorry Himiko, he would've killed us..."
"WHO??!?!?"
"...Our new employer.."
Shock and disbelief rolled out in waves of himiko, employer?!!?! she didn't fucking care???? sh just wanted to go back, she didn't care if she had to spend the rest of her life in there, she just didn't want to leave her. She slumped back into her seat shaking and going Into full anxiety attack as she grabbed her legs close to her and started to rock back and forth whispering her lovers name repeatedly.
...She hated that memory, the day she left her, she betrayed her and left her there when they needed eachother the most, she sobbed into her hands as she recounted how sweet she was to her, leaning about her quirk and being so amazed at it, treating her like an actual person instead of a monster...showing her what love felt like...she had never told her she loved her...she was planning too but...it was too late and she hated herself for it.
she remembered when it was her own birthday and she had just turned 18, she hated her birthdays as it reminded her of the shit she put up with when she was younger, but, izumi made her so happy that day, that was the day she realised she loved her, for everything she was, when she realised she never wanted to be apart from this girl ever again.
she remembered the birthday card she gave to her, she carried it everywhere daring to never let it go, it was the first time she had gotten one and she still had it to this day. she also remembered the present izumi mother had gotten her, her own little kuromi, she loved it so much and was so thankful that woman accepted her. she missed it so much. It was the only thing the would get her to sleep, well, that and knowing she'd see her love the next day.
Reaching over to her draw she pulled it out. a drawing of a heart lined the cover with the words "happy birthday!" at the top, she opened and read the message that was written for her.
"HIMI!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!"
"I'm so glad that I get to celebrate this with you, I know you don't have many fond memories of birthdays but I wanted to change that!!"
"You mean so much to me and you make everyday in this place so much more bearable, you are the one person who I want to spend every second with, you make me feel so impossibly happy and good about myself that I can't even put in words how much being around you means to me"
"without you, I don't know what I'd do, and imagining a life Without you Makes me so feel so empty and miserable, I would do anything for you, and I hope you know how much I care about you."
"love izu 3"
...
...
Wet spots started to appear on the card as himiko let out a sob, she clenched her eyes shut and wished she never fuckimg left her, her izu was in there all alone by herself and it was her fault.
She had giran keep tabs on her and get access to any information about her and give her updates. She felt sick with evey one.
In the year that she was gone she had attempted suicide 47 times. her quirk stopping her from ever going too far. she cringed as she saw the last image she saw of her.
thin, pale, deep dark bags under her eyes, her hair ratty and knotted, scars covering her arms and legs, a scared mark over her heart, and a mark around her neck. she cried for hours when she saw it. when she looked at the lifeless hopeless eyes of the girl she loved, of the girl she abandoned, she wanted to reach out, to talk to her, anything but she couldn't, she couldn't contact the facility without drawing suspicion and risking making...him mad...she shivered at that thought.
Sighing she lept out of her bed and got dressed for the day, donning her usual schoolgirl garb as she did. She needed to distract herself. She contemplated going to the bar for a minute but decided against it, she hated it there, sure she enjoyed the company of a few there but the rest? she hated them too.
She approached her fridge and grabbed a a very bloody bottle, freshly gained from last night before she popped the lid and drank from it, she decided to attempt to be productive and started to get to work.
Work, you see, the league didn't pay shit, it was basically slave labour, they'd go and risk their lives and get what, a few thousand yen a month? so, deciding she definitely didn't want to be homeless she picked up another job, something she never thought she'd do, she was a florist, at a floristry shop, yes, she, Himiko Toga, murderer vampire extraordinaire helped a sweet little old lady run her flower shop. Honestly? She loved it, it made her feel normal, she loved being around flowers ever since she was a kid, researching and learning about different species and how to take care of them, getting the job was pretty easy, The owner needed help desperately and Hired her on the spot. her knowledge helping her greatly.
Grabbing her Keys and other necessities she needed for the day she headed out, she loved how close by her job was, a 20 minute walk into the bustling city and she was there. Tsubasas floristry, a place she kinda felt at home at. she started work at 5 but she always got here early.
Opening the Door and smiling at the petite older lady behind the counter as she did so, a smile that was wholesomely returned.
"Afternoon Tsubasa-san! how's today?"
the older lady, Tsubasa came over and showed her a very heavy and impressive order.
"Toga-san! it's been fantastic! busy as always but look at this! a lady came in and placed an order for some of our best flowers! a huge bouquet! she needs it done tomorrow morning!"
she took the piece of paper from her bosses hand had a look, curiously gazing at it, this was a ¥32000 order!
"Waaa Tsubaba-san! this is huge! I'm on tomorrow morning so I'll take care of it tonight and sort it out tomorrow!"
Tsubasa smiled at her and nodded her head thankfully.
"Thank you! you're a life saver, I hope tonight goes well, call me if you need anything dear"
Himiko nodded back and watched as she took off her apron and put it on the hook by the back-door and took off.
following behind and grabbing her own apron and putting it on, making sure to tie it just tight enough so it wouldn't slip off, she set out to work.
Izumi had awoken earlier that same day, alarm blaring at her, it was early morning and she felt awful, Head hurting and her stomach curling, she felt awful, not to mention that horrible nightmare she had had, it was so...Vivid...Real... shaking her her head, She Sat up on her bed in her old room, looking around her, her mother hadn't moved anything around at all, it was all the same in here.
All might posters lining the wall, Hero figures were everywhere, she honestly forgot how enamoured she was with them. after THAT incident, she had pretty much given up becoming a hero...it was impossible with everything that she was after all. no one would let save people.
she signed at those thoughts. she would brood on them later, right now though, she was home and she loved it, laying back onto her bed she squeezed her plushies tight, as she pulled himikos to her face and smiled.
'...I finally made it, I made it out, we both did, and now we're going to find eachother, I promise you that"
a promise more to herself than anything, Himiko didn't know she was out, and finding her would be difficult. she knew how hard it'd be but she didn't care. she was going to do anything.
She still felt awful though, so she decided to head downstairs and get something to eat, she heard that helped hangovers.
Before heading down though she went to the bathroom to start her morning routine, looking in the mirror and seeing a...Rip in her shirt? huh, that wasn't there last night? weird.
Finishing up and heading downstairs she saw her mother preparing breakfast for them again, about to ask her what was for breakfast when she heard something that made her heart stop come from the TV.
"Breaking! A man had been found near downtown Musutafu Brutally murdered, The victim was found lying in an Alley covered in stab wounds and with bite marks in his neck, Police have yet to identify the man but think this might be in connection with a string of viscous murders also involving bite marks we-"
She had tuned the rest out as she started to shake, that wasn't a dream. Not a Nightmare. That was real, she had killed that man, she had ripped him apart, she had lost control again. She was going to go back wasn't she? maybe they'd Throw her in jail this time instead, or just, outright kill her.
She looked up at her mother who was looking at her in pure worry.
"Izumi? is everything OK?"
She stared at her like a deer in the headlights, fear and shock over taking her body, it wasn't a dream. she replayed it over and over inside her mind, realising what she had done haunting her.
"Izumi!" Her mother shouted bringing her back. "Yeah?" The greenette responded and looked at her mother, trying to keep herself under control, she had gotten pretty good at lying but wasn't sure how she'd fair against her mother.
"...You don't look so good dear, is everything OK?" She has asked again, placing a soft hand on her daughters shoulder.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine just, feel ill, first time drinking last night heh" It wasn't an entire lie, she did feel like trash and she hoped that was enough for her. "oh! So, you went? how was it?!"
Her mother's demeanour took a very fast 180 at the news she had just received, happy she went out. "Did you meet anyone? were you the coolest there??!! did you drink much?!?"
It's almost like her she grew in size which each question, enthusiasm and pride pouring out of her as she beamed at her daughter.
"Ah well! I tried to take it easy, I think? but! I didn't meet some people!" Izumi happily informed her of the events that had transpired, before the..Incident. She couldn't talk about that, Her mother would never know what she did.
After Reciting how she met the small group of friends her mother was almost in tears, so happy that she was making friends, potential hero friends!
After a very happy breakfast Inko had set out to get to work, needing to do a longer shift today she wouldn't be back till late evening, Leaving Izumi to her lonesome for the day, she didn't really like the idea but knew she couldn't do anything about it, Maybe she could ask the other girls what they were up to? or what be too sudden? they had only met yesterday after. With a sign escaping her lips she knew she was ignoring it, it was pointless after all, the memory still burned into her mind of what transpired the night prior, the blood, the screams, the excitement..
She had only lost control like that a few times and even then it wasn't like she wasn't aware of what she was doing, no, it was more like she felt free to do it, Almost like the repercussions didn't matter in that moment, like a massive ego and adrenalin boost, she hated how powerful it made her feel, she hated that she craved more of it.
True she was worried, but she was more worried about being caught then the actions of what she had done, the person she had killed could barely be called that, the news had reported he was a highly dangerous criminal with extreme counts of murder and sexual assault, so she was glad she put a stop to him. But being caught? that was what scared her, she had only just gotten out and she didn't want to go back, not that soon.
She sat there at the table unmoving for what felt like hours, deep in thought...
Nezu typed away at his keyboard with a suppressed glee, he was happy about how the day was turning out, the new first year students proving to be quite talented and with some amazing quirks. the student group of 1-A proving to be most impressive. it was 4 months into the school year and things had gone off without a hitch! the were getting stronger and he was proud as he watched them grow.
"BZZZ BZZZ"
His musings interrupted by his phone he grabbed it and looked who had being calling him, grinning happily as he brought it to his ear.
"Ichikawa! to what do I owe this pleasure? I trust all is well?"
the voice on the other end happily returned the same polite tone.
"Nezu! everything is great actually, and I hope you're doing well too, I actually just called to tell you about a very interesting person who I just signed off on and released a little bit ago"
Oh? nezus interest was peaked now, an person even he considered interesting? now that was rare, he had worked with thousands of people being a doctor and had told him about alot of people but he never called him to talk about one before. Nezu had to know who it was.
"Oh? well considered me interested, who is this mysterious person and what makes them so unique?"
"heh, I'll send over their file, I will warn you there's some petty...dark stuff in there but I guarantee you, she's worth it"
A DING came from his computer as the doctor had finished speaking, clicking over to his email he found the attachments he had sent. Well. let's take a look then.
Pulling up her file the first thing he noticed was those bright green eyes, they had a sadness to them he was all too familiar with, a fragile-ness, she was 18, grew up in Musutafu, attended a local school, the same one as Bakugou if he recalled, hmm interesting, and them it took a turn.
she was taken into the Musutafu mental ward 10 years ago for a violent outburst towards a few class mates. she had attacked them and...drank their blood...a blood quirk then? had to be, one of the boys she attacked ended up passing away from the damage done after a lengthy 3 year coma,...scanning for her quirk and mental information his small black eyes went wide. oh, he had have her.
10-1 on the GAF scale, a blood dependence that intertwined with her quirk essentially empowering it and herself, and the quirk in question...Blood manipulation...it seemed she had complete control over the sanguine liquid from the pictures that were on file, making swords, objects, intricate patterns, even armour around herself. oh he DEFINITELY had to have her. everything about her screamed potential, she was unstable yes but, so were many of his students, no matter what they just needed nurturing and a positive light.
"Oh my, Ichikawa you were right! she's positively fascinating! her quirk alone is something I've never even seen! the pure potential behind it! why, she could be a fantastic hero one day! I must have her. do you have a current place of residence?"
a chuckle escaped the man on the over line.
"I do, she lives with her mother, but Nezu, I must warn you, now, I've worked on bettering her life these past few months and while I'm proud of how far she's came, she's still unstable, I released her knowing she would get better and called you in hopes of furthering that better-ment, if you're going to recruit her, just remember she will need care to keep her stable, alright?"
"My friend, trust me, I know exactly what I'm gettting into and am fully prepared to take responsibility, I cannot let such a unfortunate soul just wither away when I see that spark there, we will do everything we can to accommodate her and im sure she will get along fantastically with her classmates"
"Hm so you think she'll bite? she'll join the university?"
A pleasant worked it's way onto his face.
"I know she will, I'll make her an offer she shan't refuse"
Saying their good byes, he ended the call and hoped out of his seat, looking at the address he gave him, it was time to pay the house hold a visit.
Nezu had arrived fairly early into the afternoon, he liked the nice little neighbourhood of this place, it gave him a peace of mind seeing all the children out and about. smiling away as he pulled into the midoriya household. they had a two story house painted blue and white, it looked simple and humble, cosy even, strange how such an innocuous looking home could house something so unique...so...powerful. with that thought he jumped out of the car and headed straight towards the front door, with an upbeat knock he waited till just the person he wanted to see opened it, shock as she looked at who it was.
"Am I a mouse? dog? a bear? my real identity, the Principle of U.A!"
She was still shocked, the Principle of U.A was here..at her house...saying...whatever it was that he was saying..she didn't know how to respond.
"I-Wha-? HUH?"
"A pleasure to met you too Young Midoriya! say, do you mind if i come in? I'd like to speak to you for a spill"
He wanted to come in??? he knew her?? what was happening??
"...Sure, uh, please, come on in.."
Her voice was weak, in shock, Nezu had expected as much, he had to say though, she didn't look the deranged violent girl type, maybe a little depressed but, he knew looks could be deceiving.
Chiming happily he sauntered on in behind her and followed her to the lounge room where he jumped onto one of the very comfortable couches and waited for her to join him.
She Sat on the seat across from him observing him, he seemed calm, happy even? why was he here, what did he want from her? Did he know?!?! how?! just as she was to speak he beat her to it
"well Ms. Midoriya let's get to it shall we? Onto why I'm here, I have a proposal for you"
she felt another wave of confusion hit her, a proposal??? him? what kind? she eyed him curiously.
"A proposal? what did you have in mind?"
He noticed her demeanour shift, the anxiety Gone and replaced with curiosity, oh she was special indeed, the way she could switch like that, he wondered if she had done it on purpose.
"Well! I want to offer you a spot in our hero training course! of course! see I've read about you, your history and your quirk, I am deeply fascinated and want to give you a shot to become something more, if you'd let me"
It amazed her that she could be even more confused as she already was, he was offering her a spot in U.A HUH?!?! she had just gotten out and now, she was going to become a hero? Her?! She wondered if the universe had anything else to throw at her...
"But...if you know about me...you know Im dangerous then, how could I be a hero?"
He looked at her puzzled. studying her as she spoke.
"Ms. Midoriya, I house a University full of growing adults that have powers that could level the entire building, I already house dangerous students. your quirk alone doesn't make you dangerous and I would like to show you you're true potential, if you'd let me"
She didn't know what to say, she was bewildered, she did want to go, to prove herself, but what if it happened? what if she lashed out at somone? hurt them or worse? She didn't doubt him and knew he was right, the people there were dangerous and some probably more so than her, right? she could finally do it, be a hero...
"Okay, I accept, I'll go, I'll enroll into U.A"
a huge smile erupted from the rodent and he jumped off the couch and extended her hand which she had taken.
"Excellent!! Truly Excellent!! usually we would put you into next year's course which the proper entrance exam but I think I'm going to add you in as soon as possible, you'll still go through a Psudo exam on your own which will be observed by us and I have a class that I think would suit your abilities rather well and I'd hate to see you miss them by a year"
A puzzled look graced her face at him, she wasn't sure what that meant.
"So...I'm going to be there what, tomorrow?"
A light chuckle escaped him as he spoke. "No no no, More like a week, I'll send the paper to you and once it's all done and sent back, we'll go from there. alright I'm a very busy Principle so I must take my leave but I very much look forward to seeing you, Ms. Midoriya" and with that he turned and left.
She was still deep in shock at what had just transpired, she was going to be hero after all huh, it felt, bitter-sweet, so out of the blue, she had never expected this, she was excited but also horrified, doubt started to cross her mind, had she made the right choice? Time would only tell she supposed.
It was a boring shift, a few customers had come in and made orders nothing too major or difficult, a regular day, she had just closed up and was to get to work on orders for tomorrow, she decided to do the bigger one first to make sure it was ready, looking at it, it sure was an impressive display of Ipomoea, Morning glories, hydrangea and lillies, a mainly purple and blue arrangement flowered by the beautiful white Lillies. It was huge!!! she hadn't made one so large before and if was quote the effort but it was truly beautiful. Now all she had to do was the card that was requested for it, she had a note that had what was to be written on it.
She momentarily froze upon seeing the name, Izumi...Huh?..No, it wasn't her, couldn't be her, it was a commone name, well not THAT common but still, she was thinking too much into it, just a coincidence. Ok, Let's start.
"Izumi, I'm so proud of you and all you've overcome and it fills my heart with nothing but happiness to hear of your recovery and I'm so glad you're finally home, forever your Auntie, Mitsuki"
...Recovery? Home? Mitsuki?...
...Huh?...
She Stood there shaking as she read it and she read it over, and over again making sure her eyes didn't betray her. She knew of Mitsuki, It was Izumi's Psudo Auntie, Inkos close friend, somone who visited Izumi a couple times, Was this really her? Was she...Actually out?! Was this her?!?! WHAT THE FUCK?! She hadn't heard of anything from Giran saying she was?! he would contact her immediately right?? She knew he was busy lately and not in the mood to talk but surely he would? was this not her?! But the Card! the names the recovery and being home now! It had to be, it was her, It was wasn't it?
She felt the tears well up before quietly sobbing and folding into herself before she hit the hard tiled floor. She wanted it to be her so bad, she wanted to and see her so, she had never hoped so hard in her entire life almost begging the universe for it to be true, she wanted to be reunited with her again, to see her beautiful soft face, to stare into those infinite pools of Magnificent Viridescent, to feel her again...to Taste her again. She had thought about all of this every day, and almost every moment she was awake, she longed for her, was desperate for her.
Tomorrow, she would see if it was Actually Mitsuki, she didn't know what she looked like but she would get her answers, she had to.
