It had been a few hours since Lapis had fused with Jasper. It wasn't easy on any of the crystal gems, but it hit the hardest on Pearl. Unknown to the other gems, Pearl had been in a relationship with the water gem. But something happened in their past.
It was clear that Pearl still loved Lapis. Very much so, Amethyst had caught Pearl making holograms of the water gem and the two would; dance, talk, but mostly Pearl would beg the hologram for forgiveness.
"Uh, G?" Amethyst asked as she walked out of the temple, "do you see us finding Lapis?"
Garnet hummed softy as she adjusted her visor, "I...I don't know Amethyst. I honestly don't," Garnet said as looked at Amethyst, "is this about how Pearl is doing?"
Amethyst nodded softly, "I had no idea that Pearl loved Lapis-"
"Loves," Garnet says as she takes her visor off, "Pearl still loves Lapis."
"I know G. It's just...when did this happen?" Amethyst asked as she watched the sunrise.
"I don't know Amethyst, but we will find Lapis. For both Pearl and Steven's sake," Garnet said as she too watched the sunrise.
