Pearl gently hugged the hologram of Lapis as she quietly wept, "Lapis...I-I need you...I love you so much," Pearl said as she started to cry herself to sleep.
Pearl was surround by fire and the sounds of war, she quickly summoned her spear and looked around for Rose Quartz. Pearl saw the pink gem in question but she also saw Lapis; Pearl didn't know who to save, Lapis, or Rose.
'Come on Pearl think! I love Rose, but I love Lapis too!' Pearl thought to herself as she made her mind and she headed towards Lapis, only to be pulled back by a Jasper. When Pearl saw the Jasper she growled loudly as she knew exactly which Jasper it was; it was the Jasper that took Lapis from her.
"YOU!?! You took Lapis from me!" Pearl shouted with a fury she hadn't felt in what felt like a thousand years.
Garnet was pacing in front of the temple door waiting for Pearl to come out, hopefully. It had almost been a week since the invasion and Pearl hadn't come out of her room. Garnet couldn't even see Pearl in her future vision and it scared her.
"Is she going to be okay Garnet?" Steven asked as he watched Garnet, "I miss Lapis too, but I always thought of Pearl as like a mom to me."
"She'll be okay Steven," Garnet said softly, 'I hope.'
