Tuchanka

Deep in the planet of Tuchanka lies the great city of clan Urdnot where krogan children roam the streets playing with parents watching proudly and some Krogans sparring with others. Above the city was the palace where inside was the clan leader Wrex sitting upon his throne gazing throughout the city. He sat there and began remembering the memories he shared with his long time friend and the only human he ever considered a brother...Shepard. After all it was because of him that the Genophage was cured and not to mention he saved the entire universe by sacrificing himself to make peace with both Synthetics and organics.

"I want you to know that no matter what happens...you've been a champion to the Krogan people, a friend of Clan Urdnot...and a brother to me. To every Krogan born after this day, the name 'Shepard' will mean 'hero!'"

Shepard and Wrex shook hands and then turned it into a brother in arm clutch as they raised it up high for others to see.

That memory and many more has tuck with Wrex since as no matter how many people miss Shepard including his loved one Liara...Wrex missed Shepard the most. Wrex's wife Bakara stood next to him and asked concerned, "Are you okay Wrex?"

"Yeah I'm fine..." answered Wrex in a not so convincing tone.

Bakara then stood in front of him to ask him, "Your thinking about Shepard aren't you?"

Wrex tilted his head down in sadness for she was right...he was thinking about Shepard. Before he could answer a young voice came from behind as it said, "Is that the hero I'm named after dad?"

Wrex turned to see his young son looking at him with a look of innocence and curiosity. Wrex grew a slight smile and gladly answered back, "Yes son he is."

Shepard then stood next to his mother as he asked in a tone of eagerness, "Can you tell me the story of the Shepard?"

Wrex looked at Bakara as she gave him a nod to do so, which made Wrex give a big smile, and gladly answered, "Of course son, it all started with..."

Before Wrex could begin, a Krogan warrior came in and approached the throne saying, "Wrex, we found something you need to come see."

Wrex looked at this warrior with a somewhat agitated but understanding look before asking, "What did you find Grunt?"

"There's some kind of device below the ancient grounds...we don't know what it is but we thought we let you know and see for yourself," answered Grunt.

Wrex began thinking about this...a device below the ancient grounds? He knew that the turians planted a bomb a long time ago, thankfully that Shepard helped disarm, but could this be something left behind by the turians, the reapers, or maybe it's something ancient Krogan. Wrex wanted to find out but he wanted to do this alone for this could also relate to a matter more personal to him than anything else.

"Alright I'll go check it out...alone," said Wrex.

"Warlord Wrex, surly you will have me accompany you for this...you might need my help if it's dangerous," disagreed Grunt.

"No, this is something I must do alone...tell the patrol to pull back I will contact you when I have returned.," said Wrex as he stood up.

Wrex began walking away until he stopped and turned back around to his family telling then, "I'll be back soon and when I do...then I can begin the story of the Shepard."

"Be careful Wrex," said Bakara in a worried tone.

Wrex nodded his head and walked off as his son Shepard looked on concerned for his father.

an hour later...

Wrex approached the Ancient Grounds looking at the floor of it. He wasn't just staring at just a random spot though...it was the spot where he had to kill his own father, who betrayed him for wanting to destroy destroy the other species instead of rebuilding the clan. Wrex shook that memory off his head and noticed an open passage nearby. Wrex approached this passage and noticed inside was some kind of device that didn't look turian or reaper. Wrex slowly approached this device before noticing a writing on the wall as it stated, "For true Krogan warriors." Wrex then stood on top of the device and that's when a humming sound came from the device as the passage closed behind him.

Before Wrex can even do anything, blue rings surrounded him slowly spinning and going up and down. He didn't know what to make of this and can only watch as a blue beam struck him and all he saw then was darkness.

Wrex awoke then to see nothing but trees and a very blue sky that looked familiar. Wrex sat up and looked at his surroundings to see that he was in the middle of a forest and not from Tuchanka either. Wrex then stood up and looked around wondering where he was for he didn't know where.

"Go get someone...there's been a shooting!"

Wrex turned to the direction of that voice...it almost sounded human. Is he on Earth or maybe another planet that humans have colonized? Where did this device take him? Wrex decided he should head towards where the voice came from and took off. After trekking through the forest he could hear lots of grunting, moaning, and leaves crunching on the ground. Wrex stopped and looked around until something bumped into him. Wrex turned to see a dark skinned man fall to the ground on his back with a look of fright on his face.

"Whoa what the fuck!?" yelled out the man.

Wrex looked down at the human with a but of a scowl...does this human hate aliens? Who knows but Wrex needed answers so he said to the human. "Relax human I'm not gonna hurt you...we saved your planet and this is the thanks I get for it?"

"What are you talking about!? Who or what are you!?" asked the frightened man.

Before Wrex could answer a lot of groaning and moaning could be heard behind the man as Wrex looked over to see a herd of husk like creatures approaching them. That's impossible though...the Reapers are no longer violent. Have they turned on humanity once again? Wrex looked at the man and asked, "Do you have a weapon?"

"What...No...well I did but I used it on one of those things but I ran out of ammo," answered the man.

Wrex hated running away from a fight but there was to many. So he stuck his hand out and said, "Look We can talk about this later for now let's get the hell out of here."

The man looked at Wrex's hand and then took it as Wrex helped him up as they both took off. They eventually made it to a wooden fence as the man fell down as Wrex looked at him to see that the man had a hug cut on his left leg. "Are you okay human?" asked Wrex.

"No my leg is busted," answered the man.

Wrex then looked at the herd as they were getting closer. Wrex helped the human up and helped him hop over the fence as Wrex followed suit. They both then watch as the creatures began banging on the walls before a gun shot could be heard in the distance as the creatures then turned and left. Once things got quiet Wrex helped the man up as he asked, "Okay so now tell me what the hell is going on here?"

The man looked at Wrex this time more calmly than before as he answered, "I have no fucking idea...I was in the back of a police car heading out of Atlanta until we hit one of these things."

Wrex looked back at the fence and began thinking about these creatures, they did look like husks but he realized then they looked more human and fleshy with decomposition and wounds than with any trace of cybernetics. Also the man said Atlanta so that must mean he was indeed on Earth...but by the look of the house they were in front of...it's not as advanced as he last saw Earth.

"So what about you? Who and what are you? What did you mean you saved the Earth?" asked the man as he crossed his arms.

Wrex didn't know if he could trust this man yet but he did need answers so he decided to answer but at the same time play it safe, "I'm a Krogan from the planet Tuchanka, I honestly have no fucking idea how I came here or even why I'm here on Earth. As far as what I just said about saving Earth...what year is this?"

"It's 2010...why are you from the future or something?" answered the man.

This dawned on Wrex then...the device must have taken him to Earth and not only that...he must have time travelled or maybe came to an alternate universe. He didn't know but this gave him a reason to answer, "I guess so...talk about a really fucked up day."

The man looked at Wrex with a small smile before saying, "Your telling me. Thank you for saving my life...the name's Lee."

Lee stuck his hand out for a shake as Wrex looked at it and then grasped it as he shook it and answered, "Mine is Wrex and your welcome...so your not frightened about me anymore?"

"Well at this point with all these creatures roaming around...having an alien pop up here isn't that much crazy anymore, plus you seem to be a good one too at that," answered Lee honestly.

Wrex scoffed a bit before saying, "well here I thought you were prejudice against aliens."

Lee looked at Wrex with a sad look as he knew what he meant, "No but I get what you mean, us humans sometimes face that same prejudice too. Personally though I always figured there was life on other planets so I'm glad I'm right."

Wrex knew that Lee was correct on that first statement, he remembers Shepard telling him about racial issues between humans and how they sometimes can't get along. Wrex looked at the house and then said, "You wanna check the house and see if anyone is there so we can find out what the hell is going on?"

Lee looked at the house too before answering, "Yeah let's go."
