I do not own MHA or Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go!. They belong to their respective owners.

Enjoy!

Centuries Ago...

"What have I done? What have I done?"

Hidden inside an underground laboratory, a man in a long robe was desperately scrambling to finish what would be his final project. he lamented having to betray the trust of his six friends like this, but he had no choice anymore.

He had been a fool. A complete and utter fool for thinking that he could create a portal like that and not face any consequences. He was already affected. His skin was already beginning to peel off, and the intrusive thoughts in his mind were only going to get darker and louder. And he had no idea if the dark energies had slipped past his seeled doors. If they had, there was no telling what effects there would be on the world.

To try and lower the chances of that, he would need to lock himself away soon enough.

But not until his safeguard was complete. The modifications to their six bodies had been complete. Their strength was already greater than that of a human, and now their intelligence would be on equal footing. And once the modifications to their hands to complete, this new team would be a force to be reckoned with.

He lamented that he would never be able to see his friends achieve their full potential. But he knew it was for the best.

Soon, he was done.

All six bodies were prepared. As soon as the power was activated, they would awaken. He would leave it up to destiny who would be the one to wake them.

As for himself, his days of alchemy were over. He no longer had anything good to offer the world. So he entered his chamber, turned a switch, and closed his eyes.

The last thing he heard was a maniacal cackle. He didn't know if it came from himself.

Today...

"Why don't you go jump off a building? Maybe you'll come back as something useful in the next life."

Izuku didn't want to die. No one did. But in this society, what choice would he have in the long run?

Izuku was quirkless. Unlike the rest of the world, he didn't have a special skill or ability to help him stand out. The most abnormal thing about him was just how normal he was.

It was why he was walking home alone. The only person who would even talk to him anymore was Kacchan. And that was only so he could belittle and insult the fuzzy-haired boy to his heart's content. Izuku still wanted to be Kacchan's friend, and he would always help out if asked, but...

"You're too useless to be my equal."

"Quirkless is worthless Deku. Why do you even keep trying?"

"Don't even bother with the exams you dumb Deku. I'm getting into U.A. on my own."

Unless something changed, Kacchan would be right. U.A may have taken out the rule that quirkless individuals couldn't apply, but there still wasn't a quirkless hero anywhere in Japan. Or in the world, as far as Izuku knew.

Without any sort of power, Izuku stood very little chance of making it into the prestigious U.A. And without a quirk, he already had a hard enough time fitting into society. And if he couldn't be a hero, he might as well...

"No. Don't think like that."

Izuku had to keep these thoughts out of his head. He needed to do something else to keep his brain occupied and not even consider... that.

So instead of taking his usual route home, Izuku did something different. And he changed direction to the nearest forest. That forest was the one place where he knew he could be alone.

Shugazu Forest

Technically speaking, people were not allowed into this forest. For reasons that were never clear, this forest was restricted to all the people in Mustufa city. And since this forest didn't have any parks or attractions, most people were happy to not even bother going inside.

But there was a big difference between a rule existing, and a rule being enforced.

There were no guards making sure no one came in. There was no security system to keep intruders out.

That was why one curly-haired boy with green eyes was able to just walk inside and start trudging in between all the trees. He was able to do so completely uninhibited.

In a way, it was relaxing to be all the way out here. There were no teachers telling him to be more realistic with his goals. No kids making fun of him for being quirkless. And there was no mother who worried about him here.

He was free to just breathe the air. Just take long leisurely steps in a place where no one would bother to look for him at. He doubted that anyone would care aside from his mother, but he wasn't even worried about that.

He was just happy to walk and think. And his thoughts, as usual, led him to ponder how to get into U.A.

"I could probably try out for the general classes first," Izuku reasoned to himself. "There's no rule against moving to new classes in the future. I could start there and move on."

It was a viable idea. All he had to do was prove himself. Which would be the greater issue.

Unlike the nearly impossible hero course, the general and support classes only required passing a standardized test. A test that Izuku was positive he could pass if he studied hard enough. So he was sure he could get into the school.

But how would he show them that he deserved to be in the hero course? He didn't have a quirk, so there wasn't much that he could do physically. He had thought about making some type of gadget or weapon, but the idea died in his head quickly. He didn't have the tools to be able to make anything on his own, so he would need U.A's help with that. And even with the tools, he wasn't an engineer. He didn't know enough about mechanics to make something himself. And books could only teach him so much.

He could try training himself, but he didn't have the equipment at home, he didn't have a trainer to set him on the right course, or even any guidelines on how to do it properly. He could try to exercise, but he wasn't sure how much of an effect that would have. If any at all.

His only other option was to study like he was trying to receive a doctorate. If he showed that he was intelligent, then maybe U.A would accept him. Of course, intelligence alone would probably only get him accepted into the sidekick career. Which... was fine. He didn't have anything against sidekicks. Honestly, there were a few he could think of that deserved to be heroes themselves. The ones that worked with the hero Nighteye, if the rumors were true, all deserved a promotion.

But that wasn't how he wanted to live his life. He didn't want to stand in the shadow of someone else. It wasn't about ego or arrogance, it was just how he wanted to help people. He wanted to be like All Might. A hero who could smile in any situation and make people hopeful.

But how was he supposed to do that without...?

Izuku's mumbling ended when he heard a snapping sound nearby. It almost sounded like a tree branch breaking, but that wasn't entirely accurate. Something had snapped, but it didn't sound like wood. It had sounded like... metal?

Curious, Izuku started to walk in the direction where he thought he had heard the sound. It was somewhere to his left...

This time Izuku heard a crack. Rocks shattering. All of them beneath his feet.

He didn't even have time to scream before his body fell underground.

Izuku's fall down was similar to a water slide.

"WOAH!"

He yelled and screamed as his body took many twists and turns, looping around for what was probably a minute, but felt a lot longer. Any other slide like this, he might have been having some fun. But it was a slide made of metal. So not only was the ride down unpleasant, but it had also left marks on his hands. And when he finally landed, he did so on his bum. A bum that was now sore.

But that pain was only a secondary concern for him at the moment.

His major concern was the fact that he couldn't see anything at all right now. It was pitch black in... wherever Izuku was right now. The only things he could make out were outlines.

And the outlines sort of reminded him of his school's science lab. There were scattered tables, what looked like beakers on the floor, and a bunch of other pieces of equipment that vaguely looked familiar to Izuku. He wasn't the best at STEM classes, but he knew enough to recognize the things he was surrounded by.

Unfortunately, being in what could be a lab underneath the forest wasn't a comforting thought. The forest itself was one thing. He could walk out of that easy enough. But this was a place he didn't know anything about. He couldn't even see anything.

But there had to be a way to fix that. If this was a lab, there had to be a way to make some light. Maybe a flare in case of emergencies. Maybe there were chemicals to mix and make a fire. Or maybe...

That looked like a switch.

It wasn't easy to tell, but Izuku would gladly take what he could get. Smiling, he walked over, grabbed the switch in his hand, and turned it over.

The lights were turned on. But that was the least of what happened.

Izuku felt a new energy course through his body, his hand unable to leave the tip of the switch. The lights in the room were white, but there was an additional green light now surrounding Izuku.

Like a match catching fire, Izuku's body was covered in a green glow. It sharpened his senses, making him hear and sense the world like he never had before. His arms and legs felt enhanced as if his skin and muscles were suddenly expanding. And his chest... it felt invigorated like never before.

It was too much. Izuku couldn't handle everything he was feeling and sensing. It was why his body fell over, his consciousness fading.

The last thing he saw before the world went blank was the image of a giant green gorilla beating its chest.

In another room inside the underground location, the switching of the lever had another effect.

In this room, there were five cylindrical tubes, each one large enough to store a human child. And each of the tubes began to glow once power was restored. One glowed purple. Another red. Then blue. And green. And finally yellow.

Five cyber organic beings began to feel consciousness again for the first time in years.

The black money spoke. His voice boomed across the minds of his comrades.

"Monkey Team. Awaken!"

If I'm being completely honest, the idea for this story hit me out of absolutely nowhere. I was just scrolling around online when I saw a review for a show that I absolutely loved during childhood. I didn't have Jetix, but I would catch any episodes whenever I went to visit cousins.

Seeing the old show made me want to write something for it. And for some reason, my brain made a connection between the old show and MHA.

Sorry if this is short. I was mostly adapting the intro of SRMTHFG for this opening. With a little bit of backstory added in.

Right now, a two-shot is my only plan for this story. I may continue it in the future, but I currently have no plans for that.

Anyway, please leave reviews, tell me what you think, and I will see you all next time.

Bye!
