"You stayed within your limits today."

Internally, Toshinory Yagi was patting himself on the back. Most of his trusted acquaintances had expressed worry when he told them that his hero work would have to be cut down due to his injuries. He couldn't use his full strength or have his muscle form out without risking serious injuries to his health. Well... more serious injuries.

But today had been both productive and safe. He had stopped a robbery by a sludge villain, and he managed to traped the criminal inside an empty soda bottle. And he had just handed him to the police without causing a fuss or running into any other trouble.

And with the help of an empty alley, he was able to transform into his skinny form and breath as easily as he could now. His secret was safe, the day was saved, and he was free to go home now. He could relax, take a breather, and hopefully, the next day would be as good as today.

He spoke too soon. The moment Yagi took his first steps to head home, the earth began to shake.

There was no warning, no early sign of change. The ground suddenly became unstable, and Yagi couldn't stay standing. The same thing occurred throughout the city of Mustafa. Cars came to grinding halts and hit each other as the shaking affected them. People on roads and sidewalks tripped and screamed as they couldn't find good footing. Even the insides of homes were unsafe, with furniture, china, and even floors vibrating.

But as sudden and chaotic as the quake was, it was also quick.

Within minutes, the earth was back to normal, and Yagi was able to get back up.

Once he was on his feet, the first thing he did was pull out his phone and call Tsukauchi.

"This is All Might. What the hell just happened?"

Elsewhere...

"It's a kid...?"

"He certainly appears young..."

"You think he has food...?"

"Are we sure...?"

"The power primate..."

Izuku struggled to focus as his eyes opened. His eyes were blurry and his ears could only take in muffled sounds, but he was coming back.

"The kids waking up."

Izuku was glad to hear a voice. It meant that he had someone he could ask his questions to. Someone that could tell him what that strange green light had been. Maybe they could even tell him where he was right now.

"Excuse me. But do any of you know where-?"

Izuku's eyes cleared up enough for him to see who he was talking to. And his words died in his throat when he got a good look at them.

He wasn't talking to people.

They looked like four monkeys made of metal. They were also multicolored for some reason. There was a red one, a yellow one, a green one, and a blue one. And they were all looking at him.

"What...who... how...?"

"I assume you have questions. Please, allow us to help you."

Turning around, Izuku saw another metal monkey. A black one with green eyes. And it was floating several feet off the ground.

Wait...

"Did you just... talk?"

"Obviously," the red monkey said as it walked over beside Izuku. "Name's Sprx-77. But do me a favor and call me Sparx."

His brain acting on autopilot, Izuku took the monkey's hand and shook it. The other monkeys took it as their invitation to introductions.

"Name's Nova," the yellow monkey said in a definitely feminine voice. "Come talk to me when Sparx starts giving you trouble."

While Nova winked at her promise, Sparx only chuckled. Izuku decided not to question it as the blue monkey approached.

"My designation is Hal Gibson. Please refer to me as Gibson, it is much preferred."

Izuku did not want to question the naming choice or the fact that the monkey was speaking with what sounded like a British accent. Especially since the green monkey was already sniffing around his feet.

"Name's Otto. Say, you got any food on you?"

Being asked a direct question helped Izuku to focus his mind a bit more. He still had no idea why a bunch of metal monkeys was talking to him, but he could at least do something that made sense now.

"No. Sorry, I don't have any food on me."

"Darn it. I was hoping to get a snack," Otto said glumly.

"Otto, you're always hungry," Gibson said in annoyance.

"Come on, after a nap like that? Who wouldn't be hungry?'

A nap? That word caught Izuku off guard. That made it sound like this place, whatever it was, was where these monkeys lived.

But speaking of that...?

"What is this place? Where I am? And... what are you all?"

Sparx chuckled. "Bit of a rude question, don't you think kid?"

"No. No! I didn't mean it like that!" Izuku desperately tried to explain. "It's just that I don't know where I am or what you are. I'm not trying to call you freaks, I swear! You all seem really nice. I just don't know if I'm in danger. And my mom doesn't know where I am, so I'm sure she's worried. And If I am in danger, I don't have a quirk to defend myself. I also..."

"Way to go fur brain. You gave him anxiety," Nova said as she pushed Sparx aside. She then assuredly grabbed Izuku's leg and tried to calm him down. "It's ok. You can relax kid. No one's going to hurt you here."

"I-I appreciate that," Izuku said shakily. "But I..."

"If you are wondering where you are, the answer is quite simple," Gibson stated. "You are inside the Super Robot. I assume you are the one that activated the main power core?"

Power core? "Do you mean the switch? I thought it would just turn on the lights. It was dark."

Gibson looked disappointed. "Oh. I see. Well, I should still thank you for reactivating us."

"Reactivating? Wait, are you all robots?"

"Yup. Plenty of wires and circuits inside of us," Otto said gleefully.

"Actually, the best description would be Cyborgs. We are mostly mechanical, but we still retain fur and many biological components as well," Gibson stated. "In fact, while we may be simple simians genetically, the process of our construction..."

"Hey kid," Sparx said as he nudged Izuku. "Give me the word and I'll blow us both out of here. Gibson will go on for days if you let him."

"And you won't?" Nova asked smugly.

"Hey, unlike the professor, I happen to possess a little thing called charm."

Wide-eyed, Izuku watched the four named robot (cyborg) monkeys interact with one another. They all acted like old friends reuniting after some time apart. And they all talked and behaved like... people.

Could they be quirked animals? They were rare, but they did exist. And it would explain how they were able to talk so easily. But that didn't explain the mechanical aspects. Unless.. someone experimented on them?

"I can see the confusion on your face young man."

The fifth black monkey levitated towards Izuku, stopping directly in front of his face.

"I am called Antauri. And if you would like, I have a way to explain our complicated tale in a simple manner."

There was something about Antauri that made Izuku eager to trust him. His voice sounded powerful for a monkey, but it was also gentle and reassuring. There was a wisdom in his cadence that wasn't present with the other monkeys. And it motivated Izuku to nod.

"Thank you. And please do not be alarmed. We will all be here to help if you have additional questions."

Before Izuku could question more, Antauri held his hands together and closed his eyes. When he pulled them apart, he was now holding an orb of green light in his palm. And as Izuku stared at the orb, Antauri lifted his hand and pressed the orb into Izuku's head.

"Although many details of our past remain a mystery to us, the purpose of our existence is clear. We are the Hyperforce, and we were created to stand as a roadblock and deterrent to all evil in the universe."

Izuku saw slashes of light and schematics. Construction and reparation. He saw five normal monkeys of different colors being changed into something more. More intelligent, and more powerful.

"What you stand inside of right now is the Super Robot. A pinnacle of robotics and weapons engineering. Our greatest tool against evil. An ally against the forces of darkness."

Izuku saw the outside of the robot. A bipedal human-shaped machine that towered over most buildings and could put entire militaries to shame.

When Antauri pulled his hand away, Izuku had to take a moment to gather his thought and make sense of what he saw.

"So when I turned the switch, I turned you all back on?"

"In a manner of speaking, yes," Antauri said. "But you did more than that. Tell us, what is your name, young man."

"Midoriya. Izuku Midoriya." Izuku added a small bow to his introduction.

"Izuku Midoriya, you have done more than just reactivate us. You have also empowered yourself."

Empowered? Izuku didn't know what he was talking about. He didn't feel any different than before.

But before Izuku could ask any questions, an alarm went off. Red lights and horns were blaring all around, which made Izuku jump in his skin.

"What's going on?"

Gibson ran over to the robot's main console. After pressing a few buttons, he found out what the problem was.

"There are organics approaching the robot. But they don't appear to be hostile..."

Outside...

No one on the outskirts of Shugazu Park could believe what they were seeing.

There was a giant robot standing in the middle of the forest.

It looked like a bipedal human, though its head was square-shaped and it had an antenna. It was over 100 meters tall, with feet that could squash groups of people.

And it was currently just standing in the forest. It hadn't moved. It hadn't made any lights or shown any signs of working. But it was clearly the cause of the earthquake earlier. Only something of its size and magnitude could have caused a tremor like that.

The only question was where it had come from? And why was it here?

Those were questions that All Might, accompanied by Tsukauchi and other present heroes, were determined to answer. Many police officers were called, both for protection and to keep civilians away.

The heroes called in were Kamui Woods and Mt. Lady. Kamui Woods had a specialty and history in keeping large opponents at bay, and Mt. Lady would be able to navigate the size of the machine if things got out of hand.

While the two heroes chatted with death other, All Might walked over to Tsukauchi.

"What do we know right now?" All Might asked his detective friend.

"Nothing that you couldn't guess. The machine simply appeared out of nowhere. We're still trying to determine whether it flew down or rose up from the ground, but both options are disturbing."

Indeed. Technology like this wasn't supposed to be around civilian areas. Laws against it had been passed ever since the governments had allowed heroes to operate. Tech like this was restricted to certain areas, like I-Island. And for something this large to appear so suddenly was also disturbing. How did it even get here?

"Has there been any transmission? Any sign of it being... active?"

"None that we've been able to detect," Tsukauchi informed. "All we can do is..."

Tsukauchi's words died when every present hero and officer heard a sound that did not bring comfort. There was the sound of rust falling and metal creaking. And for anyone who looked closely, it was obvious that the giant robot was moving its head.

It was looking down, in the direction of all the responding officials.

Suddenly, the robot began to walk. It took loud, massive steps toward all of the people. The heroes and officers alike all got ready. The officers took their guns out, and the heroes got their quirks ready. Kamui Woods had his arm outstretched, and Mt. Lady was ready to transform if it became necessary.

But the robot stopped short of the crowd, painting a safe distance between its feet and the people beneath it. It made no move once it had stopped, leaving the people on the ground confused.

That confusion only grew when the right foot of the robot began to steam. White clouds popped off the metal as a door began to open. And from the door, there came... a kid?

All Might and Tsukauchi shared a concerned look as an awkward and fidgeting boy walked out of the foot of the giant robot. He was freckled and with curly hair, and he was holding his hands together. He walked toward the heroes and officers, likely intent to explain the situation.

That was the intention. But the boy froze the moment he saw the most popular hero among them.

"A-a-a You're All Might!"

The boy was sweating now. Whatever explanation he had intended to give was gone as his brain was too short-circuited for him to even think. Thankfully, All Might decided to play along.

"Haha! That's right, young man! I am here!" All Might patted the boy on the back, which seemed to almost make him collapse physically and emotionally. "You came out here to see us, young man. What can you tell us about this machine?"

"Huh?" The boy shook his head to bring himself back to earth. "Oh, right. They said it was called the Super Robot. I think I accidentally turned it on when I was looking for the light switch."

Despite his smile not wavering, All Might did nod slowly as he tried to process that information.

"I see. Young man, would you please start at the beginning? I think context is required."

"Oh. You're right! Sorry!"

"There's no need to apologize young man. Tell me, what's your name?"

Taking a deep breath, Izuku tried to not let his past All Might fantasies affect him.

"My name is Izuku Midoriya. I... I was having a bad day, so I decided to take a walk in the forest."

All Might raised a brow. "The forest is restricted property, young Midoriya."

"I know," Izuku said while rubbing the back of his head. "I didn't want to cause any trouble. I just... wanted to get away from it all."

"From what exactly?"

Izuku rubbed his arm. "I... I'm quirkless. A lot of the kids at school make fun of me for it. I just wanted to be alone and away from it all."

Upon hearing that confession, All Might immediately became sympathetic to the boy. He knew what it was like to grow up powerless in a world full of powerful people.

"I can understand wanting to be alone then."

Izuku smiled lightly. He was happy that All Might seemed to recognize what he went through. But the hero wasn't done questioning.

"How did you find this robot?"

"Oh. Well, I kinda... fell into it."

"Fell?"

"Yeah. I wasn't really paying attention to my feet. So I... fell into a hole. I ended up somewhere dark. I pulled a switch because I thought it would turn on a light. It turns out I activated the robot."

Once Izuku finished speaking, All Might turned back to Tsukauchi. The detective stepped forward and nodded. Which, thanks to Tsukauchi's Lie Detection quirk, confirmed that Izuku was speaking the truth.

That also made this next part harder.

"Young man, you're going to have to come with us. Turning this machine on caused more trouble than I think you realize."

The boy's face fell. "What do you mean? Was someone hurt?"

"Thankfully, no. But it's assumed that this robot rising from the ground caused tremors across the city. There are no casualties reported. But there was damage."

The boy became aghast.

Suddenly, a voice came out of the robot.

"Wait. Do not blame the boy for the damages. As the robot is our property, we will bear the responsibility."

All Might, Tsukauchi, and everyone present looked up to the face of the robot. Izuku was the only one who recognized the voice.

"Antauri..."

As he was the highest-ranking person here, All Might turned to Tsukauchi. "What do you think?"

"I can't promise anything for the kid right now. But talking to the people inside might sort this out a bit more."

Waving at a nearby officer, Tsukauchi took his bullhorn and aimed up.

"Come on out and we can discuss terms. I suggest taking the deal if you want to speak for the boy."

For several moments, nothing happened. Then the left foot of the robot began to steam. And out walked...

Five monkeys.

All Might had to rub his eyes to make sure he wasn't hallucinating.

He wasn't. There were five multi-colored monkeys walking toward the boy. All Might, Tsukauchi, and every present officer and hero shared a look of confusion. Why were there monkeys here all of a sudden? What was with their bright colors? And why did they look like they were made of metal? Their footsteps even sounded metallic.

The only one who wasn't confused was Izuku. He had already been introduced to them. And he knew what was going to happen.

Four of the monkeys stayed next to Izuku. The fifth black money approached the rest.

"Salutations heroes and officers. My name is Antauri, and I am the current leader of the Hyperforce. My team and I are willing to cooperate with you."

Kamui Woods, Mt. Lady, Tsukauchi, and every human present felt their brains short-circuit from what they had seen. A metal monkey came out of a giant robot and offered to negotiate.

All Might just hoped that this madness might end before he reached his time limit.

Beyond Earth...

How long had he slept? How long has it been since the howls of despair and screams of terror filled his hollow ears? How long since the shaking eyes of dread gazed into his empty sockets? How long since the Dark Ones had acted out their will through him?

Too long.

But no more. The white remains began to move again. What was dust became armor. Pebbles transmuted into a staff. And a skull grew blood red yes.

"I. Live. Again!"

Cackling as Formless grew around him, the Skeleton King rose from his slumber at last.

And with a raise of his hand, an army now awaited his command. Dozens upon hundreds of formless, skeletal beings of eldritch ink, all remained still as their ruler gave them their orders.

"Five of the monkeys have awakened. And with them, the Power Primate has ended its dormancy."

This was as exciting as it was troubling. The power of their enemy was once again alive. But this also meant that the power of the Dark Ones would rise in turn.

Waving his hand, the Skeleton King cast a simple spell to locate his old adversaries. They were now on a planet of blue and green, with technology far too primitive to shield them. But there was another thing of note...

No matter.

"Go. Invade this Earth and bring me the monkeys. Once their resistance to my ascension is dealt with, then my conquest of the universe can commence."

The moment his speech ended, the Formless began their march. They forced themselves into ships of stone at the corners of the base, and they rocketed themselves to Earth. Leaving the Skeleton King by himself.

"Bring me those five monkeys. I will search for the sixth."

I have decided to add one more chapter to this story for now. I originally only wanted to make a two-shot, but recent ideas gave me enough material to add one more chapter. I don't know if I will go any further than that, but three is guaranteed.

Going from here, I think seeing the reactions of the heroic society to a giant mecha and five talking cyborg monkeys would be interesting. And yes, they are cyborgs. Antauri didn't become a robot until the third season. Or would android be a better term?

Anyway, the main reason I came up with this story is that I wanted to see what kind of interactions I could make between Izuku and the five monkeys. And the next chapter will feature more such interactions.

Anyway, please leave reviews, tell me what you think, and I will see you all next time.

Bye!
