It was a chilly December afternoon in Lelystad, The Netherlands. At the Burger King restaurant at the Lelystad train station, Sonic, Sonia, Manic, Sally, Ezekiel and Bunnie were holding a party to celebrate the return of The Burger Kings, since the story had been on a long hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic that had taken place during 2020 and 2021, and now that the danger of the COVID-19 pandemic had finally worn off, The Burger Kings story was finally able to come out of its hiatus, and to celebrate the occasion, the staff at the Burger King restaurant decided to throw a party.
Sonic, Sonia and Manic were standing on a stage they had set up inside the restaurant, and they were performing as their band, Sonic Underground. As the hedgehog siblings played music and were being cheered on by the crowd, Sally, Ezekiel and Bunnie were serving the customers their food.
Ezekiel was currently taking Knuckles' order. "Hey, Knuckles! What can I get you, yo?" The Canadian teen asked the crimson echidna with a smile.
"I'll have two Parmesan Master burgers, a Parmesan Master Double, a pack of Chicken Nuggets with extra barbecue sauce, a Whopper Cheese, two packs of King Fries, one with mayonnaise and a large Coca Cola." Knuckles placed his order. As Ezekiel was writing down the crimson echidna's order, he stopped halfway through and looked up at Knuckles as if to say: "The fuck?"
"Are you sure you can eat all of that by yourself, yo?" Ezekiel asked Knuckles with a concerned look on his face.
"Yeah, I'm sure, Zeke! Now lemme pay for the stuff!" Knuckles grinned.
Ezekiel nodded hesitantly and let Knuckles pay for his food and printed out his receipt. "Alright, yo. Here's your receipt. We'll bring you the food once it's done." He told the crimson echidna as he retreated back into the kitchen to start working on Knuckles' huge order together with Sally and Bunnie.
Meanwhile, the rest of the crowd at the restaurant was watching Sonic, Sonia and Manic play Here Comes The Sun by The Beatles. Soon enough, the three hedgehog siblings had finished the song and the crowd cheered and applauded for them.
"Thank you, dear customers! We're grateful to be here with you today and serve you good quality Burger King food just like we did before the COVID-19 pandemic hit!" Sonic beamed at the crowd.
"Yeah, we never thought we would be able to bring you the quality food you've come to expect from us during 2020 and 2021, but now we're finally back to bring you all this good stuff as well as many more adventures here at our family owned Burger King restaurant at the Lelystad train station!" Sonia beamed too.
"I don't want to speak for Sally, Ezekiel and Bunnie, but I'm sure that those guys are just as happy to be back for more Burger King related adventures as we are! Now I hope that you will all have yourselves a wonderful time at our grand reopening party today!" Manic chimed in as the crowd began to cheer once more and Sonic Underground began to play their next song.
