Heather's heart pounded in her chest as she raced towards the back of the cabin. Her breath caught in her throat, she could hear feel her stomach tightening as she heard Dean's commanding voice say: "Three."

Shit! Shit! Shit! Heather's mind screamed at her. What was happening? What was going on? This could not be happening to her. Why was this happening? She was being chased by a phenomenally powerful Alpha. She felt panic and deep down a thrill she could not deny.

"Four."

Get outside...get outside...Heather's mind ordered her. Her deep omega instincts needed to get away to safety and at the same down was excited by the mate chase programmed deep inside her DNA. The suppressants were losing their hold rapidly. An Alpha Alpha was on her tail and needs as old as time were taking control.

I don't want to be mated! Her panicked mind screamed at her. Liar! Her rebellious omega contradicted.

Heather made it to the back of the cabin and ran towards the door. She grabbed the handle and turned it fiercely.

The door didn't open.

No, no, nol!

Heather grabbed it with both hands and shook it violently.

"Five," she heard the voice coming from...was he moving? Getting closer?

Fuck!

Open...open...c'mon! Heather's mind screamed. Heather rattled and turned the handle. The door finally gave way and Heather rushed outside.

Close the fucking door! Her mind cried out even though the thrill of being chased poured through her body.

Heather frantically slammed the door as she desperately looked around her. She was outside, surrounded by trees - woods – a forest. It was dark and she had no idea of where to run to.

Car...get a car...her mind screamed. Is there a car? Where are the keys? Are there keys?

Stay close to the building...he'll expect you to run into the woods. Hide...hide nearby.

No...run into the woods...

Heather turned around on the spot, her mind racing...

"Ten," she heard the low, deep voice of Dean getting closer.

Jesus...NO!

Heather turned around and around before she ran around the side of the cabin as quietly as she could. Stay close to the light...her instincts told her. Darkness would not help her.

Heather kept running around the gigantic cabin, trying to be as quiet as she could, her heart pounding, her head racing.

"Thirteen," said Dean in a dark voice. Heather could tell that he was outside. His voice was so powerful it carried into the night.

He knows! He can scent me...he knows I'm close. Heather felt a deep thrill pulse through her body. The deepest part of her, knowing that an Alpha was pursuing her excited her in a way she had never experienced. She was completely in the moment.

"Fourteen," the deep voice of Dean carried towards her. She could sense an Alpha wave of power in the air, striking her body as if she had been touched. Heather tossed her head from one side to the other, trying to make a decision of which way to run while feeling the pull of a nearby Alpha.

Heather looked over to the woods in a panic and she started to run as fast as she could.

"Fifteen," she heard the steady, powerful voice somewhere behind her, it was close but not that close – she couldn't judge the distance.

Heather ran past tree after tree, her feet running across the ground, running through and into the dark woods. And dark it was. If she went any deeper she would not be able to see anything at all. She had heard that Alphas had incredibly eyesight and even night vision.

Heather kept running and then tripped, falling onto her hands and knees. It was painful but she scrambled back up to her feet. There it was again – that voice, the feeling inside her – the suppressed omega coming up, screaming for life. No, Heather begged her omega self. Please!...but the omega was breaking free of the chains of the suppressants. The thrill and the Alpha wave upon wave in the air was over-riding any quantity of pills she had forced down her throat.

The feelings that were rising up inside her, years of blanking out her natural omega needs and wants were starting to explode in Heather's body.

Do not give in! Heather's mind screamed as she forced herself to pick up her feet run as fast as she could away from the Alpha she could sense was not that far behind her.

"Nineteen," she heard Dean say huskily somewhere behind her.

Heather could feel the magnetic presence and power of the Alpha drawing in closer and closer to her. Her body was responding in a way that she had never felt before. It was electrifying.

Heather panted as she kept running forwards, deeper into the forest.

"Twenty," Dean said slowly and huskily. His voice told Heather that no matter how fast she was running he was close by and now he had reached the end of the count. Heather knew that this meant that his gloves were off. She was now his prey and he was close by. She kept running, her breath in her throat, her mind unable to think of anything apart from getting away while her traitorous body wanted something else.

Heather kept running but her eyes not being able to see well in the dark, she ran almost blindly and crashed into something in her path. She fell backwards onto her backside, winded.

Heather looked up, trying to adjust her eyes. There, standing before her, was the tall, strong Alpha that was Dean Winchester.

"Omega," he said in a deep, husky voice. "Times up."
