Time: 2040
Magenta and Russel are in the car as she drives to her place on a rainy night, once arrives and enters inside, she closed the curtains, and later shows Russel, a case.
"It's our data." Magenta explained as Russel opens it showing a flash drive. "l got in there before they carted it all away. l hoped somewhere that it might tell us something someday."
Russel is extremely relieved tho he has questions, "Did the General know you have this?" He asked.
Magenta shook her head, "No." She said, "I haven't spoken to my father for years."
"Are you sure?" Russel asked.
"Russel... l don't understand why we can't just go in there together and talk to him?" Magenta wondered tho worried about Russel's question.
"Because he told me what he was gonna do." Russel replied, "He wants it out of me. He wants to dissect it so he can replicate it. He wants to make it a weapon." Magenta is shocked to hear what her father is gonna do to him...
Location: Atlas - Atlas Military Base
Time: 2050
General Maxine unlocks the door with the code, as he gazes through the small narrow window through the metal door. Inside is cold as there are many things that are locked, such as machines covered in plastic bags.
Due to the room being dark, the General has his flashlight on, till he found something he needed... A large canister covered in plastic wrap. He removed it, seeing the labels of the barrel canister: Cryosync, Schnee Industries, a Weapons Plus Program.
He unlocks the padlock, and opens up the canister, as cold gas leaks out. Taking something out, using metal tweezers, holding a vial with blue liquid inside.
Location: Atlas - Mantle
Time: 2100
In Magenta's house, Russel sets up a bed on the couch, he goes out, only to meet Magenta who carrying more blankets and a razor.
"Hey..." Magenta responded as she pointed her chin, indicating the razor for his beard
"Oh... Thanks." Russel responded, the two stand, as this interaction is getting silently awkward... "So... I should be leaving early as soon as I can." He tries to change the current mood of this moment.
"You can't stay at all?" Magenta asked, sadden but worried.
Russel nodded, "As much as I wanted to, I can't stay here at all..." He said. "If l could borrow some lien..."
"That's fine." Magenta replied with reassurance.
"I also need to take a bus." Russel added.
"Well, at least let me walk you to the station." Magenta suggested.
Russel nodded, "Okay." He accepted. Then silence occurs since this reunion has always been super awkward... "Well... I uh... Good night." He speaks.
"Yeah... Good night." She smiled. "l hope you get some rest." Russel nodded again.
Later on, the two are in their night clothes on their own bed. Each of them still has their eyes open, having their own thoughts.
Magenta is hoping that there's an explanation for this while worried. As Russel is calm, knowing things will end.
Both of them closed their eyes to sleep...
Location: Atlas - Atlas Military Base
Time: 2100
At the same time, shirtless Rusty enters the dark, quiet, spartan room. He sees General Maxine and a doctor with an assistant. There he sees a restraint table for a person.
"We're giving you a very low dose only." The General speaks up as Rusty listens, "l need you sharp out there and disciplined. The first sign of any side effect, we stop and you're off the team until you straighten out. Agreed?"
Rusty nodded, "Agreed."
The General glanced at the Doctor who explains the procedure, "You'll get two separate infusions. One into the deep muscle, one into the bone marrow centers." He informed Rusty, "The bone ones are going to hurt."
The next thing, Rusty is seated, as the Doctor and Assistant, begin to inject the blue liquid on both sides of his neck. His expression winced a bit in pain but withstood it.
Then he's on the restraint table, as he is turned, the doctor proceeds to the bone injection as he has a large needle and injects it into where his spine is.
Rusty grunted in pain as he shook as his flesh is heard within the injection. General Maxine remains watching the procedure as the Doctor adds more doses. Then a loud bone pop occurred, Rusty gasped, as he feels... Different...
Location: Atlas - Mantle
Time: 0700
It is early morning at Magenta's house, then outside, Magenta herself in her daily snow clothes, waiting for Russel only that he arrives with a freshly shaved look and in his new batch of winter clothes. He sees her and walks to her while looking around.
"ls everything okay?" Magenta asked.
"l think so." Russel replied. Then they walked off.
The two head to a campus park, Magenta sees Russel's shirt tucked in so she decided to do something.
"Come here." She grabbed his arm, and begin to untuck his shirt. "It's better like that." She said.
"Oh, yeah." Russel replied.
"lt feels too tight, huh?" She asked.
"Yeah, a little..." Russel admitted. Magneta smiled as she took off his hat, and readjust his slightly messy hair. Russel slightly chuckled as Magenta continues to smile. Just before he says something... He sees from the distance near the campus park main building... Atlas Soldiers are here.
His eyes widen, and Magenta noticed, "What?" She asked.
"They're here..." Russel muttered out loud. Magenta turns around to see more Atlas Soldiers arriving.
"Wha... Russel!" Magenta worries but Russel holds onto it.
"Magenta, listen to me! You have to go far away from me as you can!" Russel stated as Magenta tries to respond. "Don't argue with me, just go. Go!" After that, he runs away.
"Russel!" Magneta yells in worry as she stood there in shock. More Atlas Military Vehicles arrive as she watches them get past her, she runs off, and more Soldiers begin to move out. Russel continues to make a run for his life.
Inside the main leader-type Atlas Vehicle, the General speaks. "Damn it! We'd have had snipers on target in three more minutes. l wanna know who jumped the gun." He demanded as the plan to catch him unnoticed has failed.
As Russel is on the small grass field, then Rusty and Soldiers come out, "He's heading 2-7-0." He reported the location of the fugitive. Russel sees him and his forces, so he turned back and ran away.
More soldiers and vehicles come as Rusty runs up, surpassing other soldiers' running.
"Antaeus! Not yet!" General spoke through Rusty's comms which he halted.
"Sir." Rusty replied as he pulls out his halt signal behind him which the men stopped as they are exhausted. "Look alive. This could get interesting."
Russel is in the main campus building area, and the men chased him. He opens the door to get inside.
Outside, Magenta is following the military vehicles. She knew where that someone is...
Russel is in the library running, passing through the corridor and upstairs. Atlas Soldier already arrived in searching for him, panicking some students that are there.
On another floor of the library, Russel then hides behind one of the bookcases, out of breath for a while. Then he realized, the flash drive... He takes it out of his pocket just as the soldiers are going upstairs.
No choice, with desperation, Russel decides to swallow the drive so that they won't find it.
Back to the outside, Magenta arrives near the campus and sees the whole Military moving out. Then she sees the main vehicle, knowing whose inside...
In the library, now the drive is contained, Russel continues running, and the soldier going the floor soon spotted him running as he yells out.
Outside again, Magenta runs up and stops in front of the road where the Atlas Vehicle is here.
"Stop! Stop!" She yells. The vehicle stopped as the General sees who was in front. "l know you're in there!"
The General is silent, seeing that it is his daughter, "General, please!" Magenta begs.
"Sir?" The female Specialist asked.
"Dad!" Magenta shouted. After moments of silence, General Maxine begins to leave the vehicle from the back hatch. She sees and runs up to her father. "Dad, please don't do this." She begged.
"You can't see this clearly. Now, get inside." The General spoke harshly to his daughter as he tries to take her to the vehicle.
"There he is!" One of the soldiers pointed, and they turned to see Russel running on a glass overpass.
"Target is in the overpass. We have a visual." The Soldier reported in comms.
"Do not engage! Repeat, do not engage!" General responded.
Russel then sees in front, the soldiers locked the gate, he tries to run back but got locked off again, and he's trapped.
"He's locked in." The soldier stated. As Russel sees outside the overpass the Soldiers are positioned and have their guns ready.
"Put two canisters in there with him." General ordered as his daughter stares with worry.
Two soldiers were on the ground carrying their grenade launchers. Aiming at the overpass, "Fire!" And they fired their grenades, which Russel ducks as the canisters landed inside, leaking out gas.
Russel uses his winter jacket to cover his mouth from the gas. Magenta can't see this, she tries to run to the campus.
"Get her back here!" The General ordered as the two men chase her. One of them go close, but she elbowed him in the face, but the second soldier caught her. Russel sees this, he grew worried as then his eyes turn green, and goes back into the gas cloud.
Everyone watched, the soldiers, Rusty, and Magenta... Then they see Russel's hand slam on the window, it cracked on impact as it slowly turns green. The hand descend and landed on the floor cracking it... His grunts occurred as it distorts, his shoes and shirt ripped.
The two men with grenade launchers looked at each other, worried. Then the large figure emerges out of the gas clouds, and then it slams the window, debris launched out as the soldiers make a run from it.
General Maxine stares at the monster, "Now she'll see..." He said.
The monster leaped out of the overpass, and as it roars and landed on the ground, its appearance is fully revealed. Its green skin of pure muscle brightens with the sunlight, and its face almost resembles Russel's face but is still unrecognisable. As it glares and growls in anger.
Rusty sees this Hulk-like monster once again, and he smiles... General sees this knowing what's going to happen, while Magenta is shocked as she is taken away by the soldiers.
Then the Hulk-like monster reared and lets out a loud roar, that put everyone to fear... Rusty is unfazed as he is moving back.
The General makes his command, "Alpha Team..." He calls his comms as the monster walks forward with hatred. "Let him have all of it." He ordered.
"Light him up!" A yell occurred and the soldiers near the large metal sculpture begin to fire their rifles. Bullets hit the Hulk, but the bullets bounced off of its skin, despite that, it irritates him. It runs towards them, and they continue firing while the Hulk covers his face with his arm as bullets still irritate him.
"Where are the Warthogs? Move your asses!" General yelled, and the military vehicles arrived. Magenta is still watching this, as the Warthog gunner fires its heavy machine gun.
The monster gets hit by it and now turns to knock the moving vehicle as it tumbles down. Another one arrives, as the General and Magenta watch more.
The second Warthog comes as the rest of the ground soldiers continue firing as now the Hulk goes to them. Then he goes close to the Alpha Team and then sees the Warthog coming as he stomped his foot in front of the vehicle.
Then the Hulk lifts the Warthog and proceeds to toss it to the metal sculpture. The soldiers hid below the sculpture and continue shooting him. He slams the vehicle at the sculpture multiple times than at the ground.
Magenta was shocked by the destruction and brutality.
As more shooting occurs from the other side, the Hulk grabbed a chunk of metal and scrunched it up into a ball before he throws it at the Warthog the impact pushed the vehicle, and into another one, causing the explosion.
Somewhere outside the battlefield, the students witness this with one of them recording this event with his scroll. "By the Gods..." He muttered.
The soldiers begin to help their injured. The General and Magenta witness this chaos, and the General decides to use the only thing he has left up his military sleeve... "Antaeus, you're up!" He commanded.
His time has come... Rusty tossed his rifle away as the soldier gave him a grenade launcher. "Cover me." He ordered as he walks to the monster.
The General watches as Rusty fires, the grenade hits the Hulk who got staggered by an explosion. He glares at Rusty then grabs the piece of the metal sculpture.
Rusty fires again, another explosion. Fires again, but the Hulk uses the metal piece as a shield and blocks it. The monster then grabs a part of the metal sculpture, tearing it like cardboard. Now he has two shields as Rusty fires which he blocked as it snarls at him.
"Remember me!" Rusty remarked and fired another grenade but the Huk swatted it away, but Rusty runs forward. He jumps on top of the monster, the monster swing but misses, Rusty grabbed onto the metal sculpture he landed and pulls out his pistol, and shoots him in the head.
The Hulk gets more angered, and attacks but, Rusty jumps over while still shooting him. Then landed on the ground, but his pistol run out of ammo.
He throws his gun at the Monster still holding the metal pieces uses it as a weapon and swings at Rusty, he ducks a slash, jumps over the another, then falls to the ground as he instinctively moves backward and the Hulk slammed the piece near his legs.
The General witnessing the enhanced Rusty, "My Gods, he's doing it." He muttered.
Rusty then uses the metal piece as a launching momentum which he slides on the ground. While the Hulk proceeds to attempt to stab him at the ground using those pieces. Rusty avoids them as he gets up.
"Move him toward the cannons!" The General yelled at the comms.
The Hulk monster roars as Rusty complied with the General's order and runs off. Then two Atlas Vehicles fitted with large cannons arrived in the field.
Rusty sees and runs up to them as the vehicles stopped and the drivers with headphones got off and set up the cannons.
The other soldiers back off from the chase tho with weapons ready.
"Do it now!" Rusty yells as the monster gets close...
The soldier activate the cannons as huge sonic waves blasted out, one by one. Rusty jumps as one of the sonic waves pushed him out, the Hulk was blasted by the sonic waves in full force, and the second one joined in.
Rusty landed on the ground as he covers his ears. The Hulk monster drops those metal pieces as it is being agonised by the sonic waves. The General watches as the Hulk covered his ears before dropping down, to his knees.
Rusty smiled seeing the monster being put down, Magenta is worried she walks up to her father, "Please, please, please, no!" She tries to beg her father to stop this, but he ignores her as the soldiers come and take her.
"Get her back!" The General ordered his men to take his daughter.
"Please, you're killing him!" Magenta yells. She tries to be let go by the men, "Stop! Get off of me! Russel!" She screamed at the Hulk.
The Hulk is nearly down, his hands holding himself on the ground. He looks up to see Magenta and the General, tho he hears her voice screaming distorted due to the sonic waves. Tho he saw...
He grew angry as he starts to slowly get up, everyone watched in surprise. He grabs the metal shards he holds and begins to stand up.
Then he uses the pieces to block the sonic waves as a shield. The General is shocked to see this. The Hulk monster begins to throw at the vehicle which the men escaped, as the piece he tossed slices the vehicle in half.
He turns to the other vehicle and jumps as the soldier got out before he landed on it, crushing it like a cardboard box.
"Where's the gunship?" General gritted seeing that it was falling apart as he is waiting for the Atlas Gunship coming.
Meanwhile, Rusty picks up one of the rifles from a downed Atlas Soldier and begins to fire at the Hulk. But the monster blocks those with his metal shield, yet Rusty continues firing.
Run out of ammo, the monster walks to Rusty, but he has no fear and tosses his empty gun away. Then the two are near in front of each other.
"ls that it?" Rusty mocked the monster.
The General calls at his comms, "Antaeus, pull back now." He demanded, "Pull back!" But Rusty took his ear comm away.
He stares at the angry green-skinned monster, "ls that all you got?" He smirked.
Then a moment passed as Hulk sent out a push kick with brute force. Magena gasped as Rusty is flung before crashing at the tree, with bones heard moving around his broken body, he lies motionless while looking heavily injured.
The General sees that he has taken down Rusty, he is annoyed but knows there's nothing to do... "Fall back!" He ordered his troops.
"Fall back! Let's go, let's go!" Atlas Soldiers begin to run off while Magenta stood there and watches.
Somewhere, Magenta's boyfriend arrives at the campus as he witnesses the destruction, he sees his girlfriend, "Magenta!" He yells in worry.
While the soldiers run away, Magenta goes closer, to the Hulk monster. The monster is slightly wandering around until he looks at her... Still having fear, she still stares at him... As if she can reach him...
"Fire, goddamn it!" The General yells at the comms, telling pilots of the gunship to fire when targeting the monster.
Back to Magenta and the beast, "Russel?..." She whispers.
The Hulk monster's anger is cooled down, he stares at Magenta as if he's stopping looking for havoc...
Just from the distance, the Atlas Gunship arrived, and the pilot aims his target... And fires. Bullets fired onto the Hulk as well near Magneta, the Hulk sees this and quickly uses himself as a shield to protect Magenta.
The General sees his daughter there, "Stop firing!" He yells panickly at the pilot.
The Hulk still under fire still covering Magenta, it looks enraged as he throws the metal hard at the Gunship, which destroyed the wing as it crashes down on the ground, tumbling towards them. Hulk covers Magenta as the crash's flames engulfed him.
"No!" General screams.
Then a thunderstorm occurs on the snowy campus of Mantle, as Magenta's boyfriend is on the ground, staggered by the explosion, along with General watches in terror that Magenta is gone...
But what emerges out of the dying fire is the slightly injured Hulk holding onto an unconscious Magenta who is unharmed... The General looks relieved but still feared of his daughter being alive and sees that the monster has her. The Hulk glares at the General, before walking away, disappearing from the flame's smoke...
Silence occurred... As the Monster escapes...
