Chapter 52:
Kakashi woke up to a familiar dull throbbing in his arm, an expected repercussion of using his Chidori attack. Naruto had rolled away from him in his sleep, the blonde laying on his side, back facing the nin. As usual, the young man had kicked off his blankets, the Kyuubi working as some kind of internal heater for him. Kakashi gazed at the back of the blonde, taking in his golden tanned skin, the broad set of his strong shoulders, the curve of his spine. He brought a hand up, gently dragging his fingers across the smooth, unmared skin. Trailing his fingers down the young man's spine, Kakashi leaned forward, pressing his lips to the side of his neck. He breathed in deeply, the intoxicating scent of the blonde and the feel of his warm skin beneath his fingers quick to stir his arousal. Drawing himself closer, Kakashi gently draped his arm around the blonde, his fingers gliding down his taut abs past his belly button, coming to rest just above the waistband of his boxers. He brushed his knuckles lightly against the soft trail of blonde hair leading to his groin, biting harshly into his lip to try and quell his hunger. Naruto slowly stirred awake, Kakashi pulled the blonde tighter to him for a hug, "Good morning, my little fox." Yawning and stretching around the nin's hug, Naruto replied, "Good morning, Kashi." Kakashi released him, the blonde quick to roll over and wrap his arm around him with a smile. Returning the smile, the nin pressed soft kisses across the blonde cheeks and neck, "How did you sleep, love?" Naruto hummed sleepily, "Really good," burying his face into the nin's neck while pulling himself in closer. Naruto's thigh rubbed roughly into Kakashi's very erect length, the nin grunted, pulling his hips slightly back. With a small smirk on his face, the blonde brought a hand down to Kakashi's groin, a soft whimper leaving his lips when he felt the nin's fully engorged length throb against his hand. Kakashi stifled a moan, pressing a quick hungry kiss to the blondes lips, grunting out, "Later… I will have you screaming for me." Pulling the blonde's hand free from his length, Kakashi kissed the palm of his hand, before sucking one of his fingers into his mouth. Naruto's mouth fell open with a groan, his own arousal burning fiercely. Kakashi bit gently at the base of the finger before releasing it with a smirk, "Let's get going, love. It's only a few more hours travel until we reach the gully." The blonde grumbled at him, quickly pulling on clothes and making his way out of the tent. They ate a quick breakfast and broke down the tent before setting off west.
Kakashi was still overly aroused, having a hard time keeping his hands to himself, the blonde suffering from a similar circumstance from what the nin could tell. He kept catching the blonde side eyeing him and looking away quickly, chewing at his lip incessantly. They had already traveled a few hours, Kakashi intentionally bringing them back toward the same clearing they had passed through the first time they made it to the coast. The salty smell of the ocean had reached the nin's senses, with a smile on his face Kakashi quickly scooped Naruto up into his arms, earning a yelp from the young man. "What are you doing? Put me down!" Naruto laughed, slapping gently at the nin's chest. "Can you smell it yet, love?" Kakashi enquired, parroting the same words he had asked Naruto all those many months before. Naruto quickly closed his eyes, breathing in deeply a few times before finally reopening his eyes with a smile, "It does smell salty." Kakashi pressed a soft kiss to his lips before smirking and dashing through the forest toward the clearing, the blonde smacking and laughing for the nin to put him down. Finally reaching the clearing, the nin set Naruto back on his feet. "We're here." The blonde quickly spun around, taking in the sprawling horizon of the open ocean. The ocean was calm today, the rolling waves lapping gently at the shoreline, not a whitecap to be seen. Naruto sighed happily, collecting Kakashi's hand in his, "Lets go dig our toes in the sand." Murmured the blonde with a smirk, mimicking Kakashi's words from the first time they were here. They reached the shoreline in no time at all, Naruto quickly pulling off his sandals to dig his feet in, sighing happily as the warm sand met his toes. Naruto looked out over the beach, remembering fondly their time here. Running and playing with the dogs along the beach, Kakashi teaching him how to swim. The blonde wondered what Kakashi's memories looked like for this place. Slipping quickly into his subconscious, he reached out to Kurama, "I want to ask Kakashi to show me his memories, Kurama. I didn't want you to be caught off guard when he puts me under genjutsu." The nine-tails scoffed at him, tail swishing back and forth, "I have grown used to that Sharingan of his. I no longer fear for myself or for you in his company, Naruto." Naruto smiled happily, quickly opening his eyes and looking at Kakashi, the nin watching over him carefully. "I…umm. Sorry, I was talking to Kurama really quickly to make sure it was okay. I was wondering if you could show me your memories from this place, you know… like how you did when you were teaching me the disguise jutsu." The blondes cheeks quickly flushed at the memory, Kakashi able to fill his mind with his own perspective of their first kiss and all the lewdness that followed. Shaking himself quickly to regain composure, Naruto met the eyes of the nin, Kakashi having opened his Sharingan eye. "Of course, love. Let's sit down first though." Seated under the familiar shade of the palm tree Kakashi had sat under during their first visit, the nin pressed a soft kiss to Naruto's lips, "I will make it quick, it can be quite draining for both you and I to linger too long under genjutsu." Naruto nodded, a bright smile on his face. Kakashi's Sharingan swirled menacingly, quickly filling Naruto's head with his memories. Snippets of visuals from their time here played through his mind. He could see himself playing along the beach with the ninken through Kakashi's eyes. His nin and Pakkun were having a conversation while he was running along the beach. "You love him, don't you boss." "Always so observant Pakkun, yes, I love him and I am in love with him." The feeling of shock Kakashi had felt upon speaking the words aloud to Pakkun hit the blonde, quickly subdued by Pakkuns response, "I'm happy for you Kakashi, you know you deserve happiness too right? I haven't seen you smile like this in a very, very long time." "I am happy Pakkun, happier than I think I have ever been. I will take whatever it is that Naruto will give me. I could die happy simply with him being my dearest friend. As long as he is happy, I am happy." Naruto could feel tears already forming in his eyes, unable to do anything about them paralyzed under the genjutsu. He hadn't realized Kakashi had been holding onto his feelings for him for that long, he wondered how much further back the nin had come to realize them. The memories slowly shifted to him running back up the beach asking Kakashi to swim with him. The nin quickly undressing and catching his hungry gaze. Naruto blushed at his overly obvious facial expression, feeling the nin's surprise and trepidation, his inner dialogue struggling with not wanting to ruin their current relationship and resolving to let Naruto set their course.
The memories shifted quickly once again. Kakashi teaching him how to swim, the nin being careful to try and keep him comfortable, not breach his personal space more than necessary. He could feel Kakashi's deep longing as his fingers were pressed tight to his stomach holding him atop the water. Naruto shuttered, Kakashi's arousal from his memories seeping through to him. Shifting once again, Kakashi's memories brought them back under the palm they were currently sitting. He watched through Kakashi's eyes as he was toweling off his hair, the flair of arousal smashing into him hard, knocking the wind out of him. The nin's eyes trailing hungrily down his body, his length growing quickly stiff. Naruto whimpered and bit at his lip, having no idea Kakashi had wanted him so desperately then. The last bit of memory was that of Kakashi licking the back of his hand to gauge his response. Naruto watched through the nin's eyes as he licked the back of his while maintaining eye contact. Kakashi covered his Sharingan with his palm, shuddering in arousal at the memories that had just passed through his mind. Blinking his exposed eye a few times, he met the eyes of the blonde. Naruto had his lip pinned between his teeth, his eyes moist with unshed tears, arousal flaring slightly behind them, "I had no idea, Kashi…" The nin gave him a weak smile, "I… I had realized I had fallen in love with you sometime before we reached the Land of Vegetables, but I didn't… it didn't feel right to tell you. I didn't want to pressure you. I wanted to protect you and be a part of your life, whatever you would allow me…" Tears spilled from the blonde's eyes, launching himself into Kakashi's arms. The nin laughed softly, "Thank you for letting me in, Naruto. I love you so much." The blonde shook lightly in his arms, whispering into his neck "I love you too, Kashi. I was attracted to you for quite some time too. Kurama made me eventually realize I was in love with you. I hadn't ever felt love before but once he pointed it out to me, it was obvious. I just… I had no idea you felt the same way about me. I'm glad I listened to that damned kitsune." Kakashi hugged the blonde tighter, his heart constricting painful at the mention of Naruto not understanding what love felt like. He vowed to never let his mate ever go a day without feeling it ever again. They embraced a while longer, before Kakashi pushed Naruto slightly back, pressing a gentle kiss to his lips, "We should make our way to the gully, love. It will be dark soon." They made their way down the familiar swatch of beach, the dense forest coming into view to their east filling Naruto's mind with good and bad memories. He shuddered gently, his nin quick to catch his discomfort. Kakashi draped a protective arm over his shoulder, smiling brightly. Naruto couldn't help but laugh and smile back, the gully slowly greeting them. The blonde was overcome with the need to move faster, grabbing Kakashi around the wrist and pulling him along. The nin laughed, a smile reaching his lips. He could feel Naruto's early trepidation when it came to the outlying forest surrounding their old home base, but clearly he was excited to be back in the gully. Finally reaching the gully's low base on this side, they climbed over it, peering over the edge at the familiar site. Their old camp looked untouched, the fire pit and its A-frame still in place. Their drying rack still in one piece, sitting near the river's edge. Even the place where their tent had been set deep in the cove, the sand there still held its memory. Kakashi looked at Naruto, the blonde gazing down into the gully with moist eyes and a quivering bottom lip. The nin pulled him in close, "Our first home, huh." Naruto nodded quickly, rubbing at his eyes, slightly embarrassed. "I … there were a lot of firsts here for me. This place holds a special place in my heart." Kakashi smiled at the blonde's admission, pressing a soft kiss to his forehead, "Me too, love. Me too."
They made their way back down into the familiar gully, Naruto setting up the tent while Kakashi lit a fire using tinder they left behind all those months ago. Cooking a quick dinner, they ate peacefully. Dinner finished, Kakashi pulled the blonde into his lap. Breathing deeply at Naruto's neck, Kakashi murmured, "Ready for bed, love?" Naruto ran his fingers through the nin's hair, tugging at it gently with a smirk. He rolled his hips in the nin's lap, earning a growl and a nip on the neck. "Take me to bed, Kashi." Kakashi Body Flickered them into the nearby tent, quickly stripping the blonde in his lap of his shirt. He eyed Naruto hungrily, dragging his knuckles over his bare stomach, growling as the young man rolled his hips once more. Arousal flaring higher, Kakashi rolled Naruto onto his back, pinning his hands to the ground, devouring his lips. Naruto moaned loudly into his mouth, straining at his captured wrists. The nin licked and bit his way down the blonde's writhing body, releasing his wrists to remove his pants. He met the blondes twinkling, lust filled eyes before pushing his legs harshly apart, dipping low to lick at his weeping length. Kakashi slowly laid down on his back, pulling the blonde down with him. Draping their blanket up over the blonde's back, he kissed softly at the young man's neck and shoulder, "Good night, my little fox. I love you." Naruto hummed happily into his hair, "I love you too, Kashi." Continuing to rub the blondes back, Kakashi listened intently for the sounds of him falling asleep, a small smile on his lips. Naruto fell quickly to sleep, resting heavily on top of the nin. Sighing happily at the feel of the blonde's weight on him and the beating of his heart against his chest, Kakashi slowly drifted off.
