Chapter 2: positive

Two weeks later...

It was currently 9:15am on a Saturday morning and candace was still laying in bed which was a bit strange since usually she's already up but for some odd reason she wasn't feeling that good when suddenly she found herself running to the restroom with her hand to her mouth hovering over the restroom throwing up. However she didn't know what had caused her to start throwing up like this she didn't think she had eaten anything that day that could have caused her to have her stomach this upset.

Meanwhile Candace was still hovering over the toilet throwing up As candace continued to gag her two brothers were passing by her restroom when they heard her throwing up "candace?" Phineas knocked on her door "are you okay?" He asked with a concerned tone.

"I'm fine" she said "Um okay we'll let us know if you need anything" Phineas said as him and Ferb walked away. "So Ferb what do you think we should do today?" Ferb thought about it for a moment and then handed Phineas a set of blueprints. "Oh cool Ferb I completely forgot about these." Phineas said while they both made their way to the back yard where they saw all of their friends waiting for them.

"Hi Phineas so watch doing?" Isabella asked "hi guys well we're going to build the tallest skyscraper ever created." He said in enthusiasm. "Nice" they all said at the same time.

Jeremy was hanging out in his living room with Coltrane and the rest of his band mates. "So guys what song do you think we should practice for the concert this Saturday coming" up Jeremy asked "hmm I don't know I was thinking maybe we can go with the one you wrote for candace girls seem to to for the love songs" Coltrane said. "Yeah your right" Jeremy said.

"So speaking of candace have you two you know" Seth asked his drummer asked. "We'll not that it's any of your business but yeah we did like 2 weeks ago I think" he said scratching the back of his head. "Damn our boy is finally growing up" they said slightly chuckling. "Shut up" Jeremy said throwing a piece of paper at one of them.

"Anyways enough about me now let's start practicing come on." He said grabbing his guitar. They all began practicing the song they were going to sing live well at the same time goofing off.

Meanwhile it was later in the afternoon and Stacy had just arrived to Candace's house she headed upstairs to Candace's room so they could head to the mall together. "Candace what are you still doing in bed get up? remember we're going to the mall today? Stacy said sitting next to her on her bed.

"Ugh Stacy I don't think I'm going to be going to the mall today" "what why?" "I don't feel good I've been throwing up all today and I don't know why" she said clearly in pain.

"Hmm throwing up huh? You never throw up though.. wait when was the last time you and Jeremy had sex?" Stacy asked "um like two weeks ago why? "We'll I don't want to freak you out or anything but did you guys use any sort of protection?"

"Oh my gosh Stacy! No! Now that I think about it we never used protection and I'm not on the pill." Candace said putting her hands to her face. "You didn't use protection? Candace how could you not have thought about using some type of protection."

"I don't know we were in the moment we weren't thinking" "clearly!" "Stacy?" "Yeah candace?" "You don't think I'm pregnant right?" She asked in a scared tone. "We'll I don't know but I think we should go and buy you a pregnancy test and then we will definitely know for sure"

"Ugh this can't be happening to me I'm 16! If I'm pregnant my parents are going to kill me and I don't know about Jeremy." "Candace relax I'll go and get you the pregnancy test and then will see what the results are" "okay thank you Stacy your the best."

"Of course" Stacy said while getting up and heading out the door. Meanwhile Candace laid back down on her bed and proceeded to wait for Stacy which only took her like 15 minutes to get back to Candace's house but to candace it felt like an eternity.

"I'm back" Stacy said running into her room. "Oh gosh Stacy I'm scared what if I am pregnant what am I gonna do?" Candace said while tears threatened to appear." "Candace I know your scared but you gotta find out and if you are then you have to tell Jeremy and your parents." Candace nodded her head and went to her restroom and took the test two minutes later she opened the door "I'm waiting for the results." About 3 minutes later the results came through and candace saw it said positive.

"Stacy I'm pregnant" candace while tears slid down her face. "Oh my gosh candace! Who are you going to tell first?" "I don't know" candace said breaking out in tears. "Candace I'm so sorry this is happening to you but you need to tell your parents and Jeremy.. ooh I know you should tell Jeremy first."

"We'll I suppose I won't be as scared telling him first, when do you think I should tell him?" "I'd say the sooner the better." Stacy said getting up.

"Listen I have to go home now but let me know if you need anything and let me know when you tell Jeremy and your parents." Stacy said leaving her room.

"Ugh" candace said putting her hands to her face "how could I have let this happen im so stupid"

It was 2 in the morning and candace couldn't fall asleep she kept tossing and turning she would get up walk around her room sit by her window and even tried watching tv but nothing seemed to work all that kept running through her head was Jeremy she was absolutely terrified of his reaction would he leave her? Would be blame her? She kept thinking to herself.

"Oh fuck it" she said to herself I need to tell him she said dialing his number. Jeremy was sound asleep when he heard his phone ringing he turned over to see who it was calling him at this hour and saw Candace's name.

"Hello" he answered in a groggy tone "hey Jeremy I know it's late but I really need to talk to you it's really important " "okay what's up?" "Well I don't want to have this conversation over the phone do you think we can meet up in your car?" He signed as he got himself out of bed and grabbed his car keys

"Okay candace your really staring to freak me out is everything okay?" "Jeremy please I don't want to have this conversation over the phone are you going to meet me in your car?" "Okay candace, and yes I'm on my way to your house I'll be there in 3 minutes" "okay I'll meet you in your car." She said hanging up.

Candace then went and put own her shoes and a sweater she was wearing a purple shirt and purple matching shorts she then slowly and quietly opened her door and headed downstairs extremely quiet she knew if her mom caught her sneaking out at this time she wouldn't hear the end of it.

By the time she walked outside her front door she saw Jeremy parked on the side of her house with his head lights off. She went and opened his car door and sat on the passenger seat.

As soon as she was inside his car Jeremy was expecting her to go on a wild rant speech but instead she just sat there quietly looking down at her hands not making any eye contact with him.

Jeremy had his arm leaning on the side of his car door and his hand on his head while staring at candace waiting for her to say something. After about 5 minutes of silence Jeremy sighed in frustration.

"Candace your really starting to scaring me you said you had something really important to tell me and you haven't said one word! What's going on?"

"I.. don't know.. how to tell you this" she sighed looking up at him. "Candace whatever it you can tell me" he said taking her hand. "Jeremy I'm pregnant" she said putting her hands to her face as the tears began slipping down her face.

Jeremy immediately dropped her hand and started her in shocked. After a minute going by candace felt like it had been an eternity. "Jeremy please say something I can't stand this silence"

"Your pregnant!? Candace how the hell could you be pregnant?" He said raising his voice. "Oh I don't know because neither of us used protection!"

"What! your not on birth control! Candace what the fuck!" "Can you please stop yelling at me! I didn't think I had to go on birth control since we've never had sex except two weeks ago Jeremy! and you could have used protection too Jeremy don't start blaming me like it was all my fault!" She said screaming at him while she cried.

Jeremy put his hands to his head trying to resist the urge to yell back at her. He took a deep breath looked at back "okay candace your right I'm sorry it was both are fault, listen im sorry for snapping at you it's just that I don't know what to do"

"I know I don't know what to do either we're both still teenagers I mean your supposed to go off to college and I'm still a junior." Jeremy gave her a sympathetic look "so what are we going to do about this then, I mean do you want to keep it?"

"Yes of course I do I'm not going to get rid of it if that's what you think your solution is" "what no of course not I just wanted to know what you wanted since your the one carrying it." They both stayed silent for a few minutes both not sure what to say next.

"Have you told your parents yet?" He said looking at her. "No I have no idea how I'm going to tell them about this there going to be so mad at me I have no idea how their going to react" "hey it's going to be okay I promise listen I'm going to be here the whole time I'm not going to leave your side."

"Yeah until you go off to college" "hey that's not true listen I'm going to be here for you if I have to I'll transfer to the university of Danville" candace smiled at him and pressed her lips to his which caught him by surprise but he kissed her back.

"I'm going to head back inside I'll let you know when I decide to tell my parents until then can you please not tell your parents I don't want my parents to find out through anyone else. "Yeah of course don't worry about it just let me know when you do so I can let my parents know too.. hey I love you you know that right"

"I love you too Jeremy I'll see you tomorrow" she said getting outside his car and walking back inside her house as she was passing her kitchen she noticed the time was 3 am she and Jeremy had talked for a whole hour long she was going to head back to her room but somehow after talking with Jeremy she found it harder to fall back asleep now worried about telling her parents she then sat in the corner of her kitchen on a chair trying to think how she was going to tell her parents.

As candace was seating on the dinning room table she heard footsteps coming down the stairs it had been 20 minutes that she had been seating and she had the lights off.

Meanwhile she saw her mom coming into the kitchen not noticing her she went to go open the fridge and as she turned on the lights she noticed candace sitting on the chair with tears.

"Candace! Oh my gosh you almost gave me a heart attack! What are you doing up so late? And why are you crying? What's wrong?" Linda asked taking a seat next to her.

"Mom there's something I need to tell you... I'm pregnant" linda immediately got up from her chair. "What candace your not pregnant" "yes I am mom!" "Candace how can you be pregnant your just 16 your still just a child!" She said raising her voice.

"I know mom but I am pregnant I had sex" she said beginning to sop uncontrollably. "Candace I don't know what to say when did you find out?" "Today" "does Jeremy know?" "Yes I was talking to him about it like 30 minutes ago in his car." "What you snuck outside to see your boyfriend young lady" "mom can we please just focus on this topic!"

Linda sighed thinking about what to tell her next when she suddenly took Candace's hand. "Honey it's okay listen I'm not mad at you" "your not?"

"No your grounded for sure but I'm not mad... when I first got pregnant with you I was 15 years old and when I told your grandparents they didn't support me at all or help me at all I wasn't allowed to leave the house my dad never talked to me and my mother told me that I was a shame to the family."

"Oh wow I never knew you had to go through that mom" "yeah my whole pregnancy I spend it locked in my bedroom depressed because my family wouldn't talk to me and your dad left for a little bit when I told him I was pregnant."

"Mom I'm so sorry you had to go through that" "it's okay honey it was a blessing in the end I got you Phineas and my wonderful husband and another son because of it." Candace smiled and immediately went and hugged her mom

"I love you mom" "I love you too honey, and I want you to know that I'm going to support you through this whole process I'm going to support you no matter what decision you make I'm going to be there for you because I don't want you to to through what I did."

"Thanks mom it really means a lot" "so about Jeremy how did he take it when you told him?" Candace signed "we'll be was mad at first but then he felt bad about it but he says he's going to be there for me" "well I'm glad he is now it's 4 in the morning we should both go and get some sleep now especially you." "Alright I'll head to my room in 5 minutes let me just tell Jeremy he can tell his parents now since I had asked him not to yet." "Okay" Linda said heading upstairs.

Candace decided to send Jeremy a text instead of calling him again she didn't want to wake him up again.

Candace: Hey I told my mom so you can tell your parents now whenever you feel ready.
