The rest of the day was going to be easy; they had decided to go to the park before going out to dinner, Kim and Adam were joining them with Mikayla.

"You know what Kim, we have been friends a long time and I don't think we have ever fallen out with each other, but today you may have just pushed me a bit too far. Tell Jay I'll see him at home later. I have my cell on me if he needs me. Goodbye Kim!" she stood up and walked away. Kim tried to shout her and get her to come back Hayley had gone by the time she got to the carpark.
Hayley slipped into a café and ordered a coffee, she sat at the back on a couch and slowly sipped her drink, mulling over what Kim had said. Her phone was blowing up with texts and calls from Kim and Jay, she turned it to silent and read a book on her kindle.
Jay was stunned when he looked up and Hayley had gone, Kim had tears streaming down her face, she was sat on the blanket with her phone on a call.
"Kim? Where's Hayley gone is everything ok?" Adam asked.
"I'm sorry Jay. I didn't mean to push her, you two just are acting differently today, so I told her that she was stupid, and she needed to be careful because the kids and you were happier that I have seen you in a long time and she flipped, got up and walked away. Said she'd meet you at home, I'm sorry!" she sobbed as she talked making it all jumbled up.
"Stupid for what?" Jay asked.
"Well, you two have this look and I know you both Jay, it's your I got laid but I'm going to keep it to myself look!" she looked down guiltily.

Hayley was sat on a couch at the back of the room. The group sat for dinner and the kids played on the soft play near the table.
"Look, I know I just screwed up back there, but Adam and I need your help with two things, first is we want you to be our Maid of honour and best man!"
"Kim, are you sure you trust me?" Hayley bluntly asked looking away from the table towards the kids.
"Hayley! Come on I said I'm sorry ok! Please?" Kim begged.
"OK, what else do you want?" Hayley asked.
"We need two names to put on Mikayla's adoption papers, so if anything happens to us then they will take her on as their own, we wanted to ask you and Jay"
"Hang on a minuet, not even four hours ago I was stupid and now you want me to take your kid on if something happens to you at work? Are you for real Kim?"
Kim looked down at her hands, she chewed her lip, swallowed thickly, looked back up at Hayley.
"Look the job we do is dangerous; I know that if anything happens to me, the twins will be looked after by their grandparents. I get that you are pissed at Kim for earlier, I am too a little bit, but this is about Mikayla not us. I'm in, ok put my name down, we are family, a messy mixed up sometime in the wrong family. Jay's speech had Kim in tears, Hayley rolled her eyes at Jay in a playful way. Shifting in her seat she looked at Kim and Adam.
"Fine I'm in, Jays right, my real family are useless, but you guys have always been there for me. From day one Kim you had my back and I've never thanked you properly. Just so you know I would have said yes eventually, without Jay being a sap!" Kim jumped up throwing herself at Hayley kissing her all-over her face.
"Thank you, Thank you! I love you so much, you never need thank me for anything. It's been an honour to be your friend," Kim said still hugging Hayley tightly.
"Stop been all sappy its gross!" Adam joked.
"Me hug Lee Lee" a tiny voice came from Lydia, Hayley scooped her up and gave her a big squeeze. As she loosened the hug Hayley looked at Jay his face full of love and a smile that made Hayley's belly flipflop.
"So!" Kim spoke from across the table "When you two have finished with your goo-goo eyes! It's the school break this week and Mikayla wants to know if she can come stay with you and the twins while I'm at work? I have a sitter, but I said I'd ask you?" Kim asked.
"I can't see why not. Are you ok with that boss man?" Hayley asked Jay with a teasing tone.
"Yeah sure, the kids will love it!" Jay agreed.
They all ate when their food arrived, Kim and Hayley agreed on times for the morning and the group separated for the night.
