Introduction 1
When we think of aliens visiting Earth, we always imagine them coming down from the sky, but nobody ever imagined they would be rising from the bottom of the ocean and wreaking havoc on cities and killing millions of people in the process. This story started when researchers in China have recently discovered that something odd is going on at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean and that there's a huge electrical current running through it.
The Government was notified and asked for funding to investigate this discovery. Unfortunately, they were unable to get the funding as they could not convince the Government to provide it.In the past few months, the current has expanded and the electricity level has risen for a short while before the current dropped again.
They didn't realize that something massive had slipped out and was heading straight to the West. American submarines spotted it on their sonar, but they couldn't have reported it since they were destroyed later on.An unidentified creature slowly made its way to land, but chose San Francisco as its landfall point.
On the Golden Bridge there was a man getting impatient in his car as the traffic seems to be barely moving.
"It looks as if I may have to re-book my flight back to Toronto, fuck,"Grumbling, he checked the time on his phone, then heard someone banging on his right window.He saw a police officer who was looking quite concerned as he tried to tell him something but was unable to understand him since the music was drowning out his voice.
"Is there a problem officer?," he asked as he rolled down his window.
"You need to get out of your car and head to the nearest exit off this bridge immediately!," he shouted.
The man was about to ask him what was causing the commotion again when the bridge started shaking violently. When it stopped he saw what appeared to be a giant claw grabbing the bridge with something rising out of the water. As the creature stood tall, it let out an ear-bursting roar that made people rush out of their cars and run to the nearest end.
The creature began tearing down pieces of the bridge making it unstable. The man got out of his vehicle and started running toward one of the nearest exits with a group of terrified people following him.He slipped past slower people, vehicles, and sections of the bridge that were crashing down, either killing or injuring some.Fighter jets launched rockets over the horizon on to the creature, which gained its attention and halted its assault on the bridge, which allowed some people to escape.
On his way out of the bridge, a man heard the cry of a child behind him. He turned around to find the child pulling his mother's arm whose bottom half was stuck under a flipped car.At first, he hesitated, but the thought of not being able to save the child and his mother haunted him for as long as he could live. He rushed over to the flipped car and tried to lift it, but the damn thing was too heavy for him to lift. At that very moment, the same policeman who had warned him helped him lift the car.
With the weight of the car taken off her back, the mother was able to crawl out. Unfortunately, her right ankle was dislocated and she couldn't afford to have it fixed.Both men ran as fast as they could before the creature started focusing back on the bridge, fortunately they managed to cross. While the mother and child were being carried, the man carried the injured mother on his back, and the policeman carried the child on his shoulder.
While the creature managed to destroy two of five fighter jets, it eventually grew irritated and proceeded to split the bridge in half, killing the unfortunate souls who attempted to flee.In the end, it let out one more roar before advancing into the mainland. The survivors gazed over at the destruction the creature had caused on the bridge with fear. The man and the police officer placed the mother and her child on the grass.
"Thank you for saving our lives, we will never forget what you did," she said as she kissed her child and hugged her tight.
"It was gutsy what you did over there, you know that," the officer said as he patted his back.
When he looked at what would have been the Golden bridge but is now a grave yard of dead bodies sinking into the ocean, he said, "If you hadn't come over to help me, we would have died."
As the officer gazed over at the creature that the remaining fighter jets were circling, he asked, "Do you think the military could even kill it?" The officer looked to the creature that was getting further away.
The man looked at the same direction as he said, "If that thing can take several missiles head on without suffering any damage, then I'm not confident the military can destroy it."
"I know this is unrelated, but what is your name?" the officer asked
"Its Alexander King," Alex replied.A few hours later, an army of ambulances, fire fighters, helicopters, and the Coast Guard arrived to help the injured and rescue anyone who had survived the bridge's destruction.
Trespasser, as the creature was called, caused havoc in San Francisco, Sacramento, Oakland, and other cities. The U.S military was forced to use tactical nukes to finally eliminate the creature, however, the devastation of Oakland meant the end of Oakland as a city.
It was two months after the attack when the people of San Francisco and other cities created a memorial for the dead. This day is known as "K-Day" as a way to remember the victims, but it was also the beginning of a bloody and long war.
